This location is fabulous. Coming from a military background, this facility is the closest thing I have encountered to an on installation facility. Lifetime is definitely worth the money every month. If you are in the Gaithersburg area go work with Wayne, he enrolled me, he is Fantastic!!

Nice and clean gym. Loved it. Never take the 1hr free assessment class - it’s basically a oversell. Other than that, it’s a good gym, lot of equipments and plenty of space. Membership is too costly compared other gyms in the area. If you are regular to the gym, then it’s worth the money you are paying. Apart from pilates, all other classes are free, just book in advance and attend the class. I would love to go back again for a reduced price.

I have gone here for the past two years and have loved every minute of it. I appreciate the staff and their management for their work in keeping gym members safe during the pandemic. The facilities took appropriate measures and maintained a level of cordiality and cleanliness that made me feel comfortable in coming back to the gym. I love the group fitness classes, locker room facilities, and my favorite part of the membership is having access to their yoga program. Thank you for all that you do!

Location is fabulous, but the membership management is an absolute mess, we have done our account with GymPass which is company sponsored. Seems nobody in there (Except Erica) is trained to actually handle the membership sign up, modification, or termination correctly, we went through 6 iterations on one simple modification on the membership. In three iterations with Ms Mirinda, I was assured the membership for my kids get cancelled, and still get the charge notice from my credit card the next month and I just know they would never be able to get it right. Hire some people who know how to manage membership, PLEASE

I joined the gym early summer only for my kids since they offered summer program. I paid the membership along with kids summer camp fee. After I joined and was ready to put them in the camp I was told by the kids club that the camp was full and they had no space for the entire summer. Extremely disappointed. I paid 200+ for three months hoping they will be able to fit my kids in the camp, and today when I went to cancel I was told about this retarded 30 days notice, which was never mentioned at the time when I signed up. Have some professional curtesy, and stop selling memberships over lies

This place is really getting on my nerve with their rules and regulations after COVID has hit. After paying much money I always feel I have been lectures on how to clean up after myself and the equipment. You cant use the work out rooms even thought everything is included in the package when you sign up! I have been treated very poorly from the staff and the gym instructor telling me what to do or not to do. WOULD not recommend this place at all.

I frequently visit this gym, two times A week minimum. I spend most of my time in the weight room, and I am reasonably satisfied with it. It doesnt feel dirty, but I find myself picking up disposable wipes from time to time. They do have cleaning staff walking around sometimes. I would rate the weight area a solid 4STARS.Pool area- I used to go to the pool area and used the family restroom. It was disgusting; this is very surprising since this is a “luxury gym.” Lifetime, please have that space monitored and cleaned often. Also, men are in there without children; this is also concerning when my six-year-old female child is there.Kids academy- My experience with the learning academy is sufficient, they are not what I would call friendly, but I dont have anything to complain about.Price- The price is higher than a golds, planet fitness, or WSC, but I believe you get more, and it is probably worth it. (unless you are primarily there for the pool). I used to pay $200+ for equinox, so maybe my idea of reasonable is skewed.Staff- I have barely interacted with them in the two years Ive been there so 🤷

Edit: the are closing again at midnight! I’m very happy! No stinky locker rooms is refreshing. Having the gym fully opened again is amazing. Getting back on my work out routine. Ken the gm of this place is a great person. Worked with me to get me going in no time. I just still hate that they aren’t fully back to their normal scheduled time. Or consider being a 24 hour spot. The pool less location is opened 24 hours. Should be in reverse they close at mid night and this location turns 24 hours. Then I’d give this location 10 stars haha.Gym deserves 5 stars they are very decent even though they are expensive as hell. Most in the region have the funds to afford the membership.Stop by and say hi to them! I think they can even give you a trail pass for the day so you can experience the gym. I visited this gym with a friend and it is a huge facility. Everything was brand new and everything trendy in exercise was available. Examples of the greatness: color coordinated yoga equipment, AstroTurf training area, olympic weightlifting section, two class areas with classes all day, an activity/Barre studio, childcare, pool, two basketball courts, huge selection of machines (most of which are useless, compound movements for the win), lots of other stuff too. I feel like this place will get really busy before long but will be a pillar in the exercise community of this area. I could literally live in this place if they had a rock climbing gym too. PeD exchange after party hosted daily in the parking lot at 10pm (just kidding!). If you are into traditional fitness this is a great facility but make sure you will use all it has to offer if you are going to pay the extra. If you just need a gym for weights there are cheaper options. Ill keep my membership at the gym for my specialized sport but would certainly recommend this place as long as they keep it so clean and new.

I loved going to the gym at lifetime. I had an amazing personal trainer- Katie! I loved going to yoga classes there and the pool was nice. The locker rooms though weren’t always the cleanest.I had the worst experience at the spa. The woman giving me the facial made me so uncomfortable. She asked me how much I weighed and how did I do it, what did I eat. That’s inappropriate and also not what one would want to talk about. She then told me I would be so much prettier if I had better eyebrows. She gave my her friends business info to get micro blading. So insulting to be told that and to be solicited during an expensive facial I paid for.I put my membership on hold during covid as I wasn’t comfortably coming back as I work as a nurse and didn’t think it was right to go back to the gym in March or April (I can’t remember when they opened). When it was reopened and my membership was on hold still I called and asked how they were handling Covid. Would they notify us if someone came to gym with covid. I was told that no one has had covid that has come to the gym. I said that’s really hard to believe when hospitals are filled and hundreds of people come to lifetime. I later learned that at least a teacher had covid. Now I know several people from the pool had covid and I’m not sure if anyone was told about those cases.. My membership reactived and I called to cancel my membership in April. I spoke with Alex and she told me the last bill I would receive was a prorated bill in May. I then received a charge for the full 118 dollars in June. I went to the Gaithersburg location to inquire about this. I spoke with the front desk person Phuong who was very rude. He asked who I spoke with in April and I initially didn’t remember and he said well you should have remembered. I said would you remember someone who answered the phones name 3 months ago and he said yes I would. I said really say you called CVS 3 months ago who answered the phone when you called. He said yes I would remember. I told him that was rude and asked to speak with someone else. He said there wasn’t anyone else and he was the best to handle this. I then asked to speak to someone in accounts because he said there was no one in management there even though it was 11am on a weekday. I said no one is in charge in this whole building and he said yes. So he called someone from accounts as I asked.I believe Will I feel bad I can’t remember his name.He was great he handled everything cancelled my account and told me he would speak to Phuong as he agreed that it was inappropriate what he said to me and that he said he was the only person I could talk to. My account is finally cancelled. He said he would pass on to have the manager call me when she got in. I was told that the manager Erika would contact me and it’s been 5 days and no contact from anyone at the gym.Received a call from Erica and all issues were handled. Thank you!

Really enjoyed some of the classes here. Good instructors. However this business lacks integrity in my opinion. They display money hungry tactics that are so disheartening, especially after being a client that enrolled before the gym even opened. Can you imagine offering to pay a company more money and then having them try to sneak in a fee for you to do that? We asked to upgrade our membership, we were told what our new higher fee would be and then asked to sign at the dotted line. As I picked up the pen I asked, theres no fees for this right? I mean Im assuming there isnt since Im paying more money. Jessicas response, Actually I do see a fee on here but Im not sure what its for, let me find out, I didnt even notice it until you asked. She said it was an upgrade fee and she would e-mail the manager to see if it could be waived. We requested a fee waiver since we felt it was a frivolous charge, its the principle of the matter. Nobody even had the courtesy to call us. We received a tactless e-mail from a sales rep (not even the manager would respond to me as requested) stating that the upgrade fee would not be waived and we could discontinue our membership if we were not happy with this decision. So much for customer appreciation or simple human decency. We are cancelling our membership and will patronize a more ethical facility.

Lifetime is not Lifetime anymore. I remember when this company tried their best to provide great customer service above all else. They would try to form a meaningful relationship with all their members so that nobody would feel like they are just a number. It seems like that isnt the case anymore. My friend drove 30 minutes to check out the gym using my guest pass (which was part of the package when I first signed up). And due to a new rule put in by the GM Ken, my friend was denied access. They kept saying that their policy is firm and that they would not be willing to accommodate us in anyway. This was extremely embarrassing on my end, due to me praising the gym earlier and that I had just wasted an hour of my friends Sunday afternoon. I cancelled my membership on the spot.In other words, Lifetime would rather lose a guest and a potential future guest instead of making the smallest accommodation in their restrictive rules. Does that sound like an experience worth $110 a month to you? I think Im going to just sign up for Equinox.

As a parent of a small child this is the best aspect and I couldnt be happier with the cleanliness, friendly agents, cafe has lots of great healthy organic options. One star docked for kind of aloof vibe from front desk, elitish (maybe because theyre young) and that the price of a small water was $2.25. Really?!! You have to take advantage of the chance for profit there too? If food was a tiny less expensive than outside I would THROW my money at you via spending the whole day there and buying all three meals every day plus for my family, all the time. Other than that, fantastic.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness and overall gym maintenance. I understand that it is a huge facility to run and hundreds of employees to manage, but you as a member pay for it. And let me tell you this - more expensive is only Equinox. So if you don’t need a pool or a basketball court you might as well just sign up for LA fitness or Golds Gym and pay 5 times less for the same mess.Everything is very dirty, some of the areas and equipment looks like it hasn’t been cleaned for years. And I’m not exaggerating. You can tell that whoever is responsible for cleaning stationary machines are doing so with their eyes closed. It’s a fairly new gym but some machines look like they were rented from the golds gym.On Sunday at 7pm it was a complete disaster on the second floor. EVERYTHING was gross. Machines, equipment, all the mirrors. Even the massage tables upfront were covered in dust/mud from somebody’s shoes. No employees were spotted on the floor. Period. Only a young guy checking in on the 1floor. Looks like checking people’s membership is the only thing they are serious about.I left golds gym because of the cleanliness and thought that paying 120$ instead of 30$ would solve this disgusting problem (IT’S A GYM - IT HAS TO BE CLEAN!).. little did I know..****************************************EDITING!!! When I asked if we could leave the kids in the childrens play area so we could have a focused conversation about membership, I was told that we would have to pay the $30 day fee to leave the kids there. Really? While Im trying to decide whether I want to join your gym and pay a lot more money, youre going to charge me to leave my kids in the play area? Way to attract new members, NOT. In contrast, LA Fitness was so gracious - they let us have a complimentary workout after the tour, and let the kids be in the kiddie area. Apparently so is everybody else in Upper Montgomery County, based on the crowds. I love to swim and love the pools, there. I am disappointed that its so crowded. I cant find a lane to swim in due to classes, swim team and other folks. I can never choose the right locker without folks bumping into me, kids running around, blow dryers blowing...its so loud I cant hear my own thoughts. I take Metro and work in Downtown DC and near crowds all day...Lifetime was suppose to be a haven. It is, only on Friday and Saturday late nights. Im disappointed that memberships were/are oversold, that quantity won out over quality. I am going to wait a year to see if things calm down and then re-join.

This gym is great! When I toured for the first time on a Monday night I was nervous because the parking lot seemed busy, but there was so much space and open equipment. The person who signed me up, James, still greets me by name and everyone there is so friendly. There is no better option! I work out more then I ever thought I would. Honestly a hard place to describe - if youre looking for a place to exercise go check it out.

I have been a member at this wonderful establishment for the past 10 months and I have no complaints! The staff is awesome, friendly, kind and so helpful in all departments. I have met a lot of quality people, learned a lot from the several different trainers I have had, enjoyed the amenities the club has to offer and overall, it is just easy to make yourself comfortable in this environment.LOVE IT!

My daughter was at this location for a lifeguard course I paid $250 for. I politely asked if I could checkout and use the gym while she attended the class. The guy working the front desk said no you need to pay $35 for a day pass-ridiculously high in my opinion. When I said no thanks he looked at me and said don’t leave the lobby area. If I was ever going to join a Life Time gym, I would hope they would have more courteous staff who would want to showcase all Lifetime has to offer.

Well worth ever penny. Its absolutely a high end athletic country club. I have traveled the world in my career and used many fitness facilities, and lifetime is premier! Excited to see if anymore come to the area.

The spa service is bad, I had a massage there, during the massage, I feel I have been violated. Also I had my hair done there, the hairdresser was unhappy for some reason there is zero communication. She didn’t ask me if I’m allergic for anything, after the coloring, my scalp was sore. The result was the spa manager concluded “ you can’t have your hair color here anymore “

My husband and I went for the first time today to see the facilities and join. We went and were shown around by a young so called manager. We returned to his office were we saw a flier with the membership costs. We asked if we could take it and he said no You have a phone take the picture It was the only flier on the desk. We asked we would like to have a flier and kept saying no, and take a picture. So I told him this was a red flag for me, because you do not treat new comers this way.I have been working out all my life, from National Swimming Champion to regular working out in weights and many other things. Considering that it will cost us $ 170.00 per month plus registration fees, plus private instructors and not to be able to have a flier tells a lot about the gym. This person should go back to training. We are a party of 4. I think they lost 4 new members.

Having been a member since the gym opened I have mixed feelings about this gym. The class instructors for the classes are great however there are features at the gym that fall short considering the price tag as well as the fact that there is a gym almost everywhere you look in the area - One Life fitness being one of the newest to open. In the cycle studio there is always a stationary bike that is broken/ not calibrated appropriately which is ridiculous as the gym offers multiple cycling classes a day so maintenance should be performed regularly. The gym equipment is definitely not cleaned properly. The stair masters are sometimes so dirty and disgusting that I find it revolting to use most of the time. The floor should be cleaned throughout the day due to sheer volume at the gym but I dont think I have ever seen anyone cleaning during the day and during evening hours it shows how gross the gym gets. For the price tag equipment should always be working properly and cleanliness should never be an issue.

This gym caters to families and children, probably because they are the money makers. I only go in the morning so as to avoid the crowds and literal hoards of screaming children. The outside pool hours are ridiculous. Why does it close so early when you have ample lighting out there? I love working out there but the pool is actually a detriment rather than a benefit.

It costs a good amount of money per month, over $100, but the notion of going to a gym that doesnt have a stellar bathroom with amenities is disturbing. I prefer this gym full of middle aged out of shape folks who are battling to get together with it. Great facility, great environment.

My whole family joined when the gym was not even built. So founding member status... so what???The whole point of joining a gym as a founding member is to lock in your rates. That is not the case here. The facility is impressive and the gym is great... around 11PM at night. Any other time... IT IS CROWDED! Which brings me to a major complaint. Several of the things we were promised when we joined... didnt happen. One winter evening I noticed a broken a window in the free weight area. It stayed broken for weeks. Those premiums cant cover fixing a window? It got uncomfortably cold in that area. The pool in summer that the kids wanted to go too. Completely swamped by 11AM.Think of this place as more a country club... with a gym.The food at the pool is not good at all. I thought it would be fun to have a pool with a bar... but it wasntFront desk staff is friendly and greets you with a smile... right up until the day you quit.Joined as a family member @ $70. Family Left I got upped to primary. Then to $110. Then $120. Think they are up to $130 now... for one person. The kids classes are VERY popular during the day for stay at home moms and like. But the evening classes are pretty full and the staff does a good job managing the kids. They just couldnt keep it interesting enough for me to be able to keep Ryan there. So $130 a month to use the weight room late at night just got to be too much. The high pricing also tends to lead to a particularly elitist, to down right RUDE behavior by some members. Leaving weights all over. Dropping towels on the ground and leaving them by the weight racks. The courts were always busy so I couldnt even get Ryan some hoops practice.
