I always choose Mynd Spa (formerly Elizabeth Arden) for my facial and massage services. This was my first time visiting this location and I am so happy that I did. Nichole is an amazing esthetician. Her touch was so gentle and relaxing and my skin looks flawless! Her product recommendations were also spot-on for my combination skin. I am definitely looking forward to my next session with Nichole!

MThe young lady who checked me in (I’m sorry I don’t remember your name, but she was cute with curly hair and glasses) was super lovely and courteous. She showed me how to do everything from setting a lock code for the lockers to where to go after I finished changing. It wasn’t long after I finished my paperwork in the very relaxing waiting room that I was greeted by my esthetician Angela. Angela was amazing! So pleasant to speak with and very smart. She answered all of my questions knowledgeably and made me feel at ease during what was my first facial experience. I will definitely love to go back to Mynd if I can guarantee having Angela work on me again. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.

Nichole was amazing. She was super knowledgeable about everything, she kept me informed during the entire time. She has the softest hands that have ever touched my face. She recommended products that I should use, and how I could get my face back on track. I have been getting facials since I was 15 years old, thats more than 10 years. This facial was the best one I have ever received, I even started to fall asleep (and snore embarrassingly). If you want to feel relaxed, at ease, and have a face that looks 10x more amazing, please see her. I am more than pleased, and even prebooked.

The experience at Mynd is always wonderful. I particularly love getting massages with Jing. She is amazing and really personalizes the service to my current needs. Will continue to drive 40 minutes from home because the experience is so much better here than at closer spas.

Love this place. Ive been going for years. My hair stylist is amazing, knows exactly what I want and what looks good with my face shape. My massage therapist is wonderful as well. While the services might be a little pricier than others, its well worth it to have real experts take care of your needs.

First visit to The Red Door Salon & Spa and I really enjoyed it. The facilities are well kept and clean. I enjoyed the super plush robe and relaxation lounge with the zero gravity chairs.I received a mini facial (my first facial) and it was very soothing. My skin was very hydrated and glowing all day. Would highly recommend.

I went here last night with my best friend for her birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service was amazing. Mary gave me my massage, and since it was my first time she explained everything and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. She was friendly and courteous and overall just fantastic. I usually see Amy Libby who always does a fabulous job but she is out on maternity leave. This was my first visit with Jamel and I already made my next appointment with him! He was awesome. I love my color and cut.

Emily is great. She listens to my ideas for color and we talk about what is best. She doesn’t do the same color over and over or follow trends that won’t look good on you. My daughter uses Amy Libby she is great and when you discuss how much to cut off Amy sticks to that amount no surprises.

The location at the Kentlands is amazing! I’d recommend Kristina for massages and Van for nails!!! I’ve been going to this location for at least three years and I am never disappointed. Kristina and Van are always so kind and sweet! If you go, you won’t be disappointed.

Had a massage last weekend. The woman was way too rough. I have a stiff neck and Im still sore 5 days later, this was a $190 massage. I called to explain that she messed up my back. The manager called and offered me a $25 discount on my next massage. How insulting! I would almost have preferred she not offer me any discount. Terrible customer service. I will not return.

I actually go to the Red Door at least twice a year for a 3 hour pampering that included a wonderful facial, a pedicure and a manicure. EL does the best facials and I have been seeing her for 3 years now. Rosa does the manicure and pedicure. They are both equally professional.

The customer service is excellent. They treat you like gold. Emily is a great hair stylist. She really understands my wavy hair. I also like that you dont have to get a style and can get just a cut since I air dry my hair. Great spa.

My mother and I came here for her 60th birthday. We received five-star services from Patrick Angela Claire Doris and Christie. We will definitely be back it was a very special day. Everything was perfect there is nothing we would change. I highly recommend Christie for massage she deserves 10 Stars very amazing!

I love how I get treated like royalty when they bring out tea or coffee for me along with biscuits. Now thats what I call first class service. I always feel relaxed when I leave Red Door Spa.

This was the first of what I hope will be many visits to The Red Door Salon and Spa. My birthday started with a luxurious morning at Red Door. The staff were welcoming and friendly. As a new mom, making time for myself is low on my list of priorities. I was treated to a fabulous massage and facial and have decided that this shall be a birthday tradition from here on out. My morning of pampering ended with a facial refresh. Needless to say, I did NOT want to leave.

I mostly come here for Hair salon services. My hair is curly and thick. I love Sue. She makes my hair look as good as the Dominican hairstylists. She is attentive and warm. From color and hair cuts, she does it all. The other stylists are also quite good.

Well I though the hair stylist was doing a great job. But when I got home and look in the mirror I was disappointed. My asking was all colored red from the hair color I wanted a vurgandi color. And on my hair the color was not what I expected. Definitely not a good experience at all. It was expensive for no reason.

Such a great place for a massage. A little bit more expensive than most places but worth it! Mary gave me a deep tissue massage and was a doll!

After quite a few bad experiences I had at other salons, I was rather hesitant when I booked my appointment. All of my worries and concerns were gone the second I had the pleasure to speak to my gorgeous, mermaid like stylist Faith. She listened to my concerns and made sure that I looked and felt amazing when I walked out of the salon. Not only did she know what looked good on me, she also made sure to avoid damaging my hair any further while staying in my desired budged. She does not just look like a beautiful mermaid, she certainly has the magic touch of one! I am recommending her to all my friends and will definitely be back. I am so happy to finally have found my hair coloring guru!

Lianne gave me one of THE BEST massages Ive ever had. She really listens to your body and knows what shes doing. And I didnt have to travel far to get there. What a great way to prepare for the holidays.

Technical skills are there, but interpersonal skills were lacking. I emailed about their customer service, and it had been a very slow process. Would not go back. Went with my “mom bun” and they touched my hair like it was disgusting.

The stylist asked me, he would rather I leave the tip in cash. The credit card system is not working properly and the money is not adding up. What kind of business does this? This was the first and last time I give them my business!! This was completely offended!! Dustin, I left you a $25 tip for 30minutes of your time which cost an additional $80.

The facilities are nice, but it wasnt what I expected when spending over $200. The receptionist took me to the locker room and asked if I would like a drink. I said yes, I would like tea. She repeated it back and said it would be in the relaxation room for me, and even repeated it again when she left. When I got to the room it wasnt there. I waited for quite awhile and it never came, so I went out and asked someone for a tea. The girl happily brought me one, but the water was barely lukewarm. There were also dirty glasses sitting all over the relaxation room. I just expected a little more for the price point.I got a 80 min massage with Mary. First, I want to say that there is nothing wrong with Marys technique and some people would love it, but it was not good for me. I like a lot of pressure, but not deep tissue level. I called before booking to ask who would fit my preference best, and was told Mary. I also explained to Mary what I wanted when we started. The massage was relaxing, but it was probably my least favorite massage ever in terms of pressure. I felt no pressure most of the time, except when she used her elbow on my shoulders. I really don;t like that technique, and prefer masseuses that dont rely heavily on their forearms and elbows. The rest of the massage just felt like she was rubbing her hands up and down my back and legs, etc. I didnt feel much pressure. Again, Mary was very nice and would be great for someone that likes light pressure, but not for someone expecting or wanting firm pressure. The warm bed and extra touches like weights and warm towels was very nice. I love a good spa experience, but a left here feeling like a wasted $250.

I went to this salon several times but the last time I went n Jamel who is/was my stylist had always done a good job but this absolutely last time he does did a monstrous jobI had shoulder length hair w some layers and simply wanted them to be lightly freshened up. I stressed this kindly twiceFor who knows why he cut my beautiful hair style from shoulder length UP TO THE NAPE OF MY NECK!!!!!It was sooooooo incredibly short I was shock n unable to speak.He not only butchered my hair he actually CHANGED MY ORIGINAL STYLE into an old woman antiquated styleHis brilliant comment was: Oh, itll grow fast.I had told him from the absolute beginning of going to him that my hair GROWS VERY SLOWLY!!!!He obviously saw just how much he chose to cut off ON HIS OWN ACCORD despite my 2 requests to simply freshen my layersI looked like a boy/old woman and was mortifiedI left crying and drove to our business and my husband n brother in law were shocked to see what Jamel had doneMy husband n I called n spoke to the general manager who was kind n sympathetic n offered to fix it but how in the world do you fix a completely short head of hair w a new style ??????Both my husband n I spoke kindly to the general manager but she only offered to refund us 90.00 of the 290.00!!!!!I will never ever return to this unprofessional salonBiggest mistake Ive ever made re my hairYes it will eventually grow back n yes its only hair but to be butchered n lose the nice length n style will unfortunately take a very long time to grow since it grows at a snails paceSignedBald in Montgomery County

Miriam for the b-wax is tha bomb! Shes very detailed and does a meticulous (in a good way) job. Shes sociable and we get along well. Depending on the day, you might have to wait around and theyre not so great at letting you know whats going on so thats why 4 of 5 stars.

How can Red Door Spa justify charging $35 for a brow wax. They don’t do anything more or less than the nail salon I usually go to for $20.I was not happy with the results. I would not recommend Red Door for brows.

From the minute I walk in I feel relaxed and pampered. It is truly my personal time. All areas are attended to for cleanliness. My appointment always begins on time. No matter who attends to me (Im a facial and massage client) I never feel rushed. They take the time to talk with me BEFORE and during the session to confirm everything is okay. The only thing they dont provide is a nap room to prolong the peace :). LOL.

I have been reluctant to write a review on that hairdresser because he is such a nice guy. But I do think that ladies should be aware of it though. I have short hair, and the last two times were just a disaster. The second time, I wanted to give him another chance, but this time was worst. Two months later, I havent had a good hair day, and it will still take a while. First, each side was not at the same lenght. I had one side which was a good 1/2 inch longer than the other. I did not notice it because he kind of doesnt keep them straight. I have long light bangs and specifically asked him not to cut them short. Not only he cut them an inch and half long while I had my eyes closed, but on top of it, it thinned them out so much, that it looks like I am balding in the front. It looked weird, still looks weird, and i probably have to wait another 2 months before I could look normal!It was convenient for me for the location, but I definitely will go back to Georgetown to get my next haircut. Worth the trip, the parking and everything else! Just beware if you have short hair. You cannot make mistake with very short hair because it just shows! Still upset every day when I get up! His name is Bryan, and again a very nice guy, but not the best for very short haircuts.

First time at a Red Door. Went in for a partial highlight, the gentleman did a great job, but after washing my hair he sent me into another room to blow dry my own hair. Apparently you are supposed to BOOK someone to dry your hair. I found that very strange. What if you dont like the color? What if you see a mistake? When I went back to thank him and get my purse which was still sitting there he was already working on another client....so I didnt even get a chance to address the color I had just paid 120.00 for. Not sure If Ill venture back.....

I typically dont write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to do so after seeing the dark scar an overzealous aesthetician caused during a wax. The manager called and implied the burn was due to my skin being super sensitive from retinol. To assuage me, she offered a collagen treatment and VIP trreatment. Had she seemed sincere I might have been happy.I was burned at Red Door as a result of a bad wax job, plain and simple. The woman repeatedly applied wax to the same parts of my chin. I mean like 3 and 4 times. Unless I had rhino skin, I dont know how that could have worked well.Ive been getting my eyebrows waxed at another salon for some 15 years and never had an issue, so my skin aint that bad. Highly unlikely I will be going to this Red Door location again.

Had my ever first visit to the Red Door Spa in Kentlands located in Gaithersburg, MD.Upon entrance, I was impressed with the facilitys cleanliness and organization. They really keep the place clean and welcoming. The level of standard is up there. You really get what you pay for like the old saying. Massage wise, I received an excellent service. Leann, my massage therapist was very professional and on point. Overall, she delivered an excellent session. I also like the fact that they provide shower stalls, some slippers, bathrobe and a locker to keep your personal belongings.This place is great but with some room for improvements. Here are my comments: I would like to suggest the management to train their front desk staff a little better especially common courtesy not to rush a client. I am not sure if this is the practice of how they do business here but I was not impressed at all! Upon check in, I was immediately asked to pay for my service because apparently they were closing at 7pm and she wanted to settle the cash drawer in advance. Moreover, she bluntly asked if wanted to I wanted to add my gratuity now! (Ahh, excuse me! Now you are getting on my nerves) Its this kind of experience that spoils the moment!In summary, I enjoyed my massage, the amenities and service that came with the price and massage was well worth the price. The value that they provide is something you normally do not receive at an average massage chain stores. Would I ever come back to this specific massage location,? Most likely since it is the only one near my place. Hopefully I will not deal with that same front desk again. Lastly, would I ever recommend Red Door Spa? Sure why not! I had a good experience.
