I had a lovely, relaxing experience treating myself to a haircut by Shontae, who I wish I had met and gone to sooner. I love my new haircut! I also got a facial, eyebrows waxed, and a massage. Both ladies were attentive and listened to my concerns/comments. I am moving away, so again, I wish I had gone sooner and more regularly. If you want to have a you day or girls day, this is the perfect place to go.

I loved Beth she was so kind and really seemed to care. She gave exactly what I wanted while also making sure the results were going to be beneficial. Id highly recommend. Bonus- they give you a little mini neck massage before cutting your hair that helps you relax a little.

Went with my daughter for a pedicure. We were offered a complimentary drink while we waited. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. Loved that there wasn’t any chemical smell like you get in a lot of nail salons. I’m planning to take my other daughter to get a pedicure too.

AMAZING! One thing that I have come to enjoy about this spa is the small environment with a big luxury feel. Its very relaxing when you walk in and the staff are always pleasant. Lucinda is my GO-TO because she is just a spirit of fresh air and listens well to your needs. Hands down the best spa in Gainesville!

I have had a gift card for many months. I try to set up an appointment to use it every few weeks and have yet to get ahold of anyone. Very disappointing to not even get a call back after leaving several voice messages. If I didn’t have a gift card to use I certainly would not consider this salon.

I had previously received a massage at Haile Village Spa & Salon a couple of years ago, and recently decided to return for a haircut. I had been traveling to Mount Dora each time I needed a haircut, as I was nervous to change stylists. I booked an appointment with Melissa and was extremely impressed and satisfied with her service. She was very understanding of my reluctancy to have my hair cut by someone new and explained everything she was doing in detail. The results were fantastic and I will certainly be coming back to see her again. The Spa is beautiful and welcoming, as is the staff.

This is hands down the best place in Gainesville to have your hair done. It probably is the best for their other spa services too, but I cant speak to those from personal experience. From the moment you call to book an appointment to the time you walk out the door, you are treated like royalty here! The atmosphere is energetic yet soothing, and the staff is amazing.It doesnt hurt that this is the salon-home of Russell Owen Wells, who is - dare I say it - a hair GOD! Hes been the only person Ive trusted to touch my hair for several years, and I would travel to the end of the earth to keep it that way.Once you sit in his chair, glass of wine (or coffee if thats your thing) in hand, you know you are in for a fantastic experience. He is extremely meticulous with his work and loves your hair as if it were his own. In addition to his enormous talent, Russell has a gigantic heart and will keep you entertained for the hours that he spends carefully transforming your look.I get compliments about my hair color and cut all the time from friends and family, and it never gets old. Russell, I dont know what Id do without you! :)

Wonderful spa and spectacular staff. Contrary to public opinion, Disney is NOT the happiest place on earth - Haile Village Spa is! Everyone who works there - from Erica, the manager, to the massage therapists (we use the wonderful Emily and Lucinda) to the nail specialists (Tiara and Emily but they are all excellent) to hair stylists Russell and Carrie - go out of their way to be professional, caring, meticulous and fun. Absolutely recommend Haile Village Spa for a thoroughly pleasant, skilled and relaxing experience.

I came to Haile Salon for the first time after I had a really bad haircut from another salon. I requested the appointment with Michelle because she was highly recommended by a customer at the Yelp site. I am glad that I followed that recommendation. Michelle did an excellent cut for my hair, and the best styling Ive had in a long time. Plus, she is very friendly and she made me feel very comfortable. Also, the Aveda products she used are of a high quality. I will definitely continue getting my hair done by Michelle at the Haile Salon.

Haley did an absolutely fantastic job with my hair, and there was a lot of hair to work with! She really cared about making sure that she had done a good job and that I liked my new haircut. In the end, I received an amazing new cut and will definitely be returning to Haley in the future (and recommending my partner go!). Thanks again for a wonderful experience!

I came here once for a haircut, and I really liked the vibe, and smell of this place. The hair stylist was nice. But I told her I wanted layers, and instead I got the complete opposite, my hair was puffy and it was longer on one side. I went back to get it fixed and she kept asking me is this ok? So I told her please more layers, and she would cut a little bit like she was scared of cutting more and kept asking me. Four times I said please more layers, its too straight. Until I realized shes not used to cut layers so I said yeah sure thats fine, at this point I just gave up. And guess what? I got home, and my hair was AGAIN longer on one side (and it was noticeable).

If you have curly hair in Gainesville, go see Michelle! She takes time to know your curl pattern and habits and is so detailed. She gives a great experience and is so worth it! She also gives great product recommendations and tips for caring for your curls!

The environment was relaxing and inviting, the front desk ladies extremely professional, and the massage therapist Allura provided an amazing hot stone massage! Complimentary wine, peaceful lounge and waiting area were all part of the positive spa experience. Ive already recommended this spa to several friends and will continue to do so. The vibe was head and shoulders above Cloud 9 or Massage Envy!

I havent been to Haile Village Spa since it was Escape Day Spa (many years ago) - and can I just say WOW. I was so pleasantly surprised with how much theyve added to the place! Went for a pedicure with my mom before my wedding last month, and the two nail technicians were fabulous. The girls did a wonderful job (the polish stayed on for ages!) and were so friendly and professional. I will certainly be returning the next time Im in Gainesville.

I love love love this place. If Gordon Ramsey came into this place he would be shocked in joy. I get my haircuts here by Russel but he has recently moved away to another place. The employees were phenomenal!How would I know this? I lived within the village at a time and also my family used to own South Garden Restaurant within the village.

Ask for Michelle. Shes my stylist, but they are all really great. Outstanding front office personnel as well. I havent had a massage just yet, but I am awfully tempted. Theyll even give you a complimentary beverage, including wine. Youll remember the experience.

I have been going to Cara to have my hair cut and colored for about the last year and she always does a fantastic job! She took me from too bright blonde highlights on long boring hair to a chocolate color with warmer golden highlights and an absolutely fantastic long cut with body and layers! She is so friendly and knows what she is doing. She explains everything to me so that I can style it at home and I trust her fully! I recommend her to everyone!

Melissa is a goddess with color. She did a beautiful job with my highlights! And she really understood the texture of my hair. I appreciate her explaining the science behind the color.

I got a hot stone spa package that included a hot stone massage and hot stone pedicure. The hot stone massage was great but the hot stone pedicure was even better! My pampered feet greatly enjoyed the pedi and they have two chairs so that you can get your feet done with a girlfriend.What really stood out the most was the receptionist that booked my appointment. I needed a last minute appointment and they were really busy but I was time crunching and the guy was able to book me in last minute--I was really impressed since it was my fault for booking so late.Overall wonderful experience and hot stone pedicure is worth every cent!

I was visiting a friend and was desperate to have my hair styled. I scheduled an appointment with Liv. She used two Aveda products on my hair after the washing. I decided to just let her go with it and see how it would work out. Liv did a fabulous job blow drying my hair. The products she used helped to keep the style and volume for at least four days. I was so happy. She is a very fine stylist.

Great haircut and color!

Very traumatic experience here. Left something very valuable accidentally, and was told it was being saved for me when I called. The package had the identifying address of where I got the package literally next door. When I called to find out when I could pick up they then told me it was lost. Attempted to reach owner through the association and the owner never returned my call. Will never trust this business again. They are comfortable stealing; the owner is uninterested...perhaps she/he are the thief.

I love this place. Its clean, luxurious and the staff is very good. I highly recommend it for massages, mani/pedis, whatever you need! It is also in a lovely area that has a couple great restaurants for afterwards.

Walked out of Haile Village Spa feeling like a new person. Alejandro gave me probably THE BEST massage Ive ever received. The space he created for me was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, and the addition of essential oils and hot paks enhanced my experience. Beforehand, my muscles felt knotted and twisted; my neck stiff, my shoulders elevated, and my breath was stuck. Alejandro applied the perfect pressure and attention to those areas of my body, and I walked out of there pain free, relaxed shoulders and able to take a deep breath. In addition to a great massage, the space Alejandro created gave me a chance to fully relax and let my body heal. After your massage with Alejandro, youll definitely be pleased and feel as if youre walking on air!

Bought wife and daughter a spa day for mothers day. They said they really enjoyed it, but thought nail tech couldve done a better job.

Had the most relaxing and rejuvenating time here! The atmosphere was soothing and well-maintained. My massage therapist Allura and aesthetician Allyson did a wonderful job and they were so friendly. What I appreciated most about the experience was that no one tried to push me to buy any skin products. Allyson gave me some samples to take home and explained their benefit but that was it. Nothing ruins a spa experience more than being given a pushy sales pitch at the end!

I found out about this haven of relaxation when my friend and hairstylist MiChelle started working here. First of all, I wouldn’t leave this review just because MiChelle is there. We’ve been friends for almost 20 years, but She only just started doing my hair. She really knows her stuff. I still continue to use box color on occasion and she is there to fix the mess that I make. 😃Now, the rest of the salon! When you walk in in are greeted with smiles by the beautiful young ladies at the desk. They offer you a beverage and let you relax.I had a massage there and the spa are is an oasis all in its own right. There are lockers for your belongings and a shower with al of the Aveda products you could ever want to try.Honestly, I could live here, but my cats wouldn’t be too happy. 😻Do yourself a favor and schedule your appointment online. You will not regret it.

Can I get a haircut every week? I am in love with Michele--and hope this review and the number of peeps that stopped me to ask who did my hair doesnt mean she becomes impossible to book. She is new to the Haile Salon and Im selfish that way. For starters, you are immediately offered a beverage when you check in, and I was taken right back with my delicious coffee--no awkward waiting. I asked for a stacked, angled, choppy bob, which I know from stylist friends is the hardest/complex/time consuming cut to do. Michele showed me some pictures from google/Pinterest and was SPOT ON for my vision. Next, before getting to the shampoo bowl, she gives you an aromatherapy oil NECK AND SHOULDER massage!!! Sorry for the all caps but OMG, heaven. This is standard for her with every client. Then at the shampoo bowl she explained what products she was using and why and gives the most amazing scalp massage with shampoo and conditioner. To be honest I have no idea what products she used as I was too zen and relaxed to pay attention. We chatted a bit while she cut, but she never lost complete focus on what she was doing and I never felt forced to carry on conversation. I have some balding spots from meds I take and she totally rolled with helping to cut to cover them or work around it (without judging or acting shocked...which is always rude and uncomfortable). She finished with the perfect styling tutorial on how to do it at home and I left with a fabulous haircut and the most relaxing, pampering experience ever. Ive attached the obligatory awkward bathroom selfie after wearing the cut for a few hours and already being stopped 3 times on my way home (so book her fast before she blows up..?) Price for the cut was $47 and no pressure to buy any products she used. Love, love, love.

I wish I would have read the reviews before I made my appt. Feeling excited to try a new Spa I called to make an appt. On such day the young lady I reached was RUDE from the beginning, as I was inquiring on the different services offered here. I decided we all have bad days and maybe this one was her bad day. On the day of my appt. I received a call approx. 1.5hrs prior stating my apt was cancelled due to illness. No mention of Im sorry would you like to reschedule, I also had another treatment that same day and she failed to mention this, so I asked if I could still receive that treatment and she stated if you like. COMPLETLY UNPROFESSIONAL! I will not be calling back, I think the owner needs to really read ALL the reviews! This is not good business.
