Camped in our travel trailer. We were greeted upon check in with dog treats and a lovely welcome note. We paid extra for a paved pull through spot which was nice and level although all of the sites looked level and all had a nice amount of space between neighbors. 2 dog parks and lots of activities for kids. Enjoyed the fishing ponds. WiFi was good and I was able to work. Bathhouses clean . Staff very friendly. This was a very nice and clean KOA! We will return !

Excellent campground. We enjoyed our stay. Staff is very friendly and easy to maneuver our 43 ft Class A Coach. We were in space #201. … the newer section. Nice views. Long spaces. Paved roads, cement pads with nice paver patio with furniture, a fire pit & a good size yard. Some spaces have a BBQ stand, ours did not, but no problem. We were booked for 5 nights… we like it so much, we asked for an additional 3 nights. Close enough to Gaffney, Kings Mountain Battlefield, Spartanburg & Greenville… all easy drives.Freeway under massive construction… make sure you call office to get best directions. Currently, going North, exit 90 is open & easy to get to KOA. Southbound is closed.

We were there in June, August and October 2021. We really like this campground. We were in our 30 ft. fifth wheel. The sites are wide and spacious. We had site 62 in June, 63 in August and 58 in October. Each site was great. Sites 62 & 63 were paved with paved patios, a picnic table and firepit. Site 58 was gravel but had a paved patio, a firepit, a table with 4 chairs & umbrella and even a swing which we really enjoyed. They have 2 new sections (Section 200 and Section 300) which are all paved with paved patios, firepits, tables and chairs and a small grill. Very nice sites. There isnt a bath house near the new sections but they have one near where site 58 is located. We found the bath house to be very clean and easy to use. This campground also have 2 small dog parks. The ladies in the office are extremely friendly and helpful and the people who deliver your firewood and show you to your site are also friendly and helpful. The campground has a kids play area, volleyball net, hiking trail, swimming pool, putt putt course, Saturday movie night with free popcorn and a game room. They also have a pizza restaurant (Hunts Bros. Pizza) located inside the office. Theyll bring your pizza directly to your campsite. Pizza was pretty good too. Overall, we really like this campground and will definitely continue to go every chance we get.

We spent two nights there this past week while in Gaffney. Very pleasant stay, right off the interstate. To say that the staff were efficient and polite is an understatement! The site was level, with a picnic table and fire pit. The campground was immaculate, every bit of it, including the bathrooms. The new section with paved sites will be beautiful once completed. We will definitely stay there again when our travels take us that way.

This is our first stay at a KOA and it is a great introduction to the name. The owners and staff work hard to make this campground always looking nice, we have been here a little over a week and the staff have had constant smiles on their faces, grounds stay beautiful and the In amenities always look like they just were cleaned. Anything you ask for is instantly taken care of and have not met one camper here that was not happy. I chose this place because our daughter wanted to camp and fish this summer, well there are 3 small ponds on the campgrounds and they are all stocked so she is more then happy. The grounds is very quiet yet it is still only 4 minutes away from just about anything outside of camping you may want. If you are in the area check this campground out and you will not be disappointed.

Nice park, clean and neat but BEWARE OF THE OWNERS, John and Pauline. Nice one minute then screaming and yelling obscenties the next and John wont hesitate to throw you out. The man reacts and there is no reasoning with him. Their rules change without warning or notice. Pickins are slim for RV parks in the area; they have a monopoly and they know it. If you dont believe me, check out some of the other reviews. Stay at this park at your OWN RISK.

A very well-maintained campground. The best KOA park we have ever stayed in. Our site had a concrete pad and was very long. We were able to unhook our 42’ fifth wheel and still have plenty of room for our F350 dually truck. Nicely spaced with trees or bushes between the sites. Trees and bushes were trimmed so we did not have to worry about hitting anything. Our site had full hook ups along with the best WIFI we have ever had in a campground. We were able to stream tv with no buffering. Download 108 Mps, Upload 37.7 Mps. Owner made it very clear it was for streaming. Great management. The owner came and talked to us to make sure our visit was going well. New deluxe patio furniture. Staff very friendly and accommodating. There are two dog parks. Both are well maintained and large with seating for humans. The only negative was the quality of the roads to get to the park – NOT THE PARK’S FAULT.

Please Dont waste time and money going there!!! Owners are very rude! just read the way they response back to other complaints. We had a camp site at the opposite end of in in-laws, we need been walking to and back all weekend, I notice an empty site and i need to bring them something in the cooler, so I parked in the empty one in a few minutes. I was not planning to stay there, the owners came by and cussed me out! So bad my child was crying, and when told they was making him the owner said I DONT CARE WHO I MAKE CRY! and you can leave! needless to say I had issues with this. they accused me of parking on their newly planted grass but it was not true cause the site is PAVED!...... VERY RUDE OWNERS. will never go back until the owners are replaced which I feel will be very soon with the owners attitude!

I can assure you our experience with the Gaffney KOA was nothing short of horrendous! Upon pulling into the property on Friday as soon as my husband exited the truck he was scolded for not having a mask on...mind you he was outside and just exited our truck. He politely reassured the staff that he in fact had a mask and would wear one if he needed to enter the facility. No other greeting was made, no hello, no explanation of the facilities or policies, just a scolding and handed the papers. We were escorted to the site by a gentleman on the golf cart and pointed to which site was ours and directed my husband where to park before he took off back to the office. We wrote these experiences off as it was late in the day on Friday and went about setting up our site. Some friends of ours came to the same KOA to stay in the cabins for the weekend. They were shocked to say the least when they arrived, checked in, and went to the cabin to find the floors filthy (covered in geese feces and red dirt) and also found no linens, no pillows, no towels. They cleaned the floors and proceeded to the local Walmart to purchase the items to sleep and shower. After they checked out of their cabin on Sunday 2 hours before check out time, they were told they could not drive their truck down to our site to say goodbye because they did not allow 2 vehicles on the camper sites (even though the site directly next to us had a Ford truck which pulled the camper and an Explorer on the site). In addition, they were told if they were at our site after 12 noon that they would be charged a guest fee of $5 per person. They came down to say goodbye and my husband proceeded to the office (with his mask on, as it was stated that is the policy) to speak with the staff. His intention was to pay the $10 guest fee for them up front. Shelia was working in the office and would not allow my husband to get more than a few words out before she was interrupting him and raising her voice at him. After a few minutes of being treated this way, he assertively told her not to worry about the fee and that we would be moving along for the remainder of our stay the following day, then exited the office. Within 10 minutes 2 individuals came racing down the road on a golf cart, whipped around in a circle on the grass and the woman proceeded to jump off the cart before it was fully stopped. Both my husband and I were verbally accosted by this woman and the gentleman, which we were told were the owners of the KOA grounds. After a solid 15 minutes of them yelling at us and them throwing profanity like it was confetti, they told us to get the f*** off their property and never return. Which we politely told them that if they would leave us alone we would happily pack up because it was not the kind of place we wanted to spend our vacation which was intended for relaxation. They then pulled off with enough ferocity to throw gravel in the air behind the golf cart.We expect to be treated as guests when we travel, we behave kindly and courteously to all we encounter and expect the same niceties in return....especially in a hospitality environment. This experience was beyond disappointing as it was our first vacation in five years and our first encounter with a KOA ground. We can assure you that we will not become KOA members and most certainly will not waste our limited vacation time at another KOA ground after this deplorable treatment.

Me and my wife moved to South Carolina from New Mexico and were staying at the Spartanburg/Gaffney KOA long term until we could find us a piece of property to move to. We LOVED the KOA the moment we got there! Everything was kept up nicely, we loved all the trees, and we loved the over all atmosphere of the campground. We had been there since the beginning of April and fully understood the late fee policy. Well because of how payday fell for me at my job in April we were one day late paying the space rent and electric which was fine. The same thing happy to us in May because of Memorial Day my pay day was a couple days late which meant we were going to incur a couple of late fees which again was fine with us. Well, me and my wife go into the office on the afternoon of 5/30/21 to make a small payment towards our space rent. The lady that initially was helping us had to go do something else so Jon Booth one of the owners of the campground finished helping us. We explained the issue we were having to him and told him that we knew we were going to incur a couple of late fees but we were fine with that. We were immediately met with a very rude attitude and an even ruder attitude when I asked him if I could see a breakdown of all the charges to our site. He prints all the charges out and basically throws the papers at me and says in a very rude voice almost yelling at me Here is a list of everything that has been charged to your site! So me and my wife did what we went to the office to do and made that small payment towards our space rent. I was not a very happy person by the way he talked to me and my wife but I just brushed it off and chalked it up to him being busy and or tired because they were completely full that weekend because of Memorial Day. After we made that payment I double checked with him that we had until 6pm that day to pay in full to avoid the late fees and he said yes. So me and my wife go back to our site and enjoy our afternoon and evening. Well about 10 pm that night there is a knock on the door. I answer it and it is Jon Booth the very rude gentleman we dealt with earlier in the day. He hands me an envelope and again is basically yelling at me for no reason and says You are being ejected from the campground. You have until noon tomorrow to get off the property or you will be removed! Then he stomps off! I close the door and open the envelope only to find out that we were being ejected from the campground for non payment even though they were going to get the rest of their money plus late fees on Tuesday!!! So my advice to anyone planning to stay at this KOA is do it but only for the short term! Dont do long term because this a**hole likes to make his own rules as he goes!!! If Im being honest I think me and my wife were ejected because he wanted money for that space right then and didnt want to wait the couple of days it would have taken for my check to come in and he would have got the rest of his money! He is a greedy and rude a**hole!!! So again if youre going to stay here only do it for short term!!!

The most unlevel koa weve ever stayed at Took us 2 hours to set up( usually 30 minutes) because their hookups are on the wrong side and we was 3 foot short to the water hookup. Instead of loaning us 3 foot, said they could sell us a water hose. We have 35 feet...wouldve been plenty had their hookups been on the right side. Had to use every block we had to level our rv and the picnic table. They did try to move us to a different site where we could park our 38 foot rv I to a 20 foot spot....turned that down:)Do not recommend and will not be back.

We stayed at KOA for the first time. It was about the same price for a one night stay as it was just to dump, so we decided to stay a night. The gentleman who led us to our site was so helpful! We are new to having an RV, and he guided us into a back-in spot. We had plenty of shade to minimize the heat from the sun. They have a little mini golf course and a pool, but we got in after supper time and just wanted to hook up, cook dinner and relax. Our neighbors were quiet and courteous. The area we was in did have the sites a bit close together, but since we are new to this, that may be the norm. We definitely were not on top of each other though. They practice social distancing by only having one customer in the office at a time. I really appreciated their care regarding that. We will absolutely be staying there again. I did hear that some sites are more distanced, but we reserved our spot 30 minutes before we arrived.

Tried to stop here on 2/8/21 to just ask if they had any sites that were suitable for hammock camping. Was told abruptly by the two women in the office - NO! “Sites aren’t even open right now”. Mind you I had said I was just coming to look for future visits. I continued to stress that this was for future - 6 months , a year down road. One lady said - “I don’t know when - or even if we are going to reopen the tent sites”. Again I said I had visited other KOA properties and had been able to take a site map and look around. Finally they said I could do that but then proceeded to ask for an escort to come and take me around in a golf cart - luckily it was 50 degrees today. After thinking about it, I told them I changed my mind and would not need to see the property, as I am sure with that type of treatment my family would not feel comfortable at this location. Clearly COVID has caused this location to have many issues - not just COVID!

BEWARE:False advertising, snarky attitudes, abundance of rules, and horrible customer service. While the amenities and location are not subpar, the lack of human compassion and respect definitely bring this KOA down the drain. We paid for a monthly stay, upon arrival we were told that our handicapped child who is UNDER 2 (per their website it stays 2 and under are free) who does not use any amenities.. was to be charged the same as an adult. We further explained our situation and were told that the monthly stay does not include the “special”... HOWEVER it is not listed on their website. So unless you are a mind reader, not sure how you would be aware.Next that followed was my husband was transitioning from military to civilian life, and I had to stay with our daughter alone. My mother did not use the amenities and stayed under 3 hours. Their money hungry minds wanted to charge her a fee to see us every single visit..We stayed at a KOA in New Orleans for our daughter’s treatment just a month prior and they were absolutely fabulous. They checked on her, closed the pool for her to get therapy swim time in, and did not have a crazy amount of nonsense rules. They were friendly, put off a great atmosphere and left us thinking that all KOA’s would follow suit... however that was not the case with this one. They also offered a pizza delivery service which we utilized while we were there. My mistake as it took them 3 hours to deliver a pizza that was right across the street after I called 6 times wondering what had happened. Yet I read on another review from a prior guest that they had called the cops on a pizza delivery person who was not from their campground. If you’re looking for a headache, wanting to deal with disrespectful owners, and looking to waste money.. book here.If not, I highly suggest looking elsewhere for a stay.It is not a GREAT day at this KOA.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We called to ask for availability, we were told that they wouldn’t know until after Labor Day holiday. They actually called us back not even an hour after to tell us a spot opened up and that it was a Premium and that we were going to be charged $625.00. According to their website a premium spot has concrete and patio. To our surprise once we arrived the spot didn’t have concrete or a patio. We spoke to Linda and she said that we were in a premium site, how? On their website it states a pull through, 50 amp with gravel is a deluxe site. I told her that and she said the website is not accurate. So FALSE ADVERTISEMENT definitely going on in this place or they’re just OVERCHARGING people giving lame excuses. We have stayed in different KOAs in different states and this is by far the worst experience we have had without being in this place for even an hour. Why run a business to screw people’s wallets?

An honest review not spun from emotions. The campground itself is very pleasant. You would never know you are right off of the highway. They have done a lot of work to it and seem to take pride in the park itself. They are adding some sites and there is a little bit of construction taking place but it doesn’t effect your stay. Nice size pool, nice playground area too. We stayed during the COVID pandemic so the game room and clubhouse were closed. Nothing was actually planned for the kids which could have some to do with the pandemic. Now, to the negative, the male owner is less than pleasant (his wife was very nice upon arrival and I even said to my husband, the owner seemed very nice to me, not sure what those reviews were about) and doesn’t know how to deal with people at all. I had one small interaction with him and knew right away that’s who the reviews were speaking of. I saw him interact with others just two other times and was shocked. Two workers seemed decent otherwise customer service and hospitality was lacking in big ways. All in all we will be back because it’s close to home and the park is nice. You don’t have to interact with staff much if you don’t want to, so you can still enjoy your time. I’m not easily offended and try and look over peoples attitudes if I can because I usually realize it’s a personal issue with the person or they are having a bad day. Just don’t come expecting that typical KOA hospitality. Multiple campers that we met during our stay said they would not be back for this very reason, which is sad. The campground has tons of potential but you can’t run your customers off being nasty.

Third year in a row we stayed here for Fourth of July and will be out last. The KOA police ruin your peace. Constantly driving up and down the roads looking for things wrong. Bothers everyone at the pool for wrist bands. Pool closes at 7:30.. Way too early for summer. Used to be able to have visitors go to the pool with us and play putt putt, but if they stay more than an hour they make them pay $5 to sit at the camper.. No activities allowed. Came there to see our son and it was crazy he would have to pay $5 to sit at our camper!!! All the campers and full time Campers complained about the harassment. My friend and I went out for the day and when we came back he chased us down in our car, cut is off and demanded our car pass witch was on the dash. Very rude 😠😠.Should not be a KOA.. If they are all like this I will cancel my KOA membership !!!

Very nice place with a few leveling issues; but they are generally workable, and the management friendly and strive to work out all difficulties. As a Park, it is great: good clean restroom/showers, lakes to fish and release with free licenses available, pet friendly with grass dog run, putt-putt and many fun activities for a varying age range of children, long trails to walk and bike, and the list goes on. The hosts are friendly and great, and work hard to keep all campers happy. We would stay again. We stayed in a 34’ Class A RV for $49.28 including discount.

This is close to home for us. Weve been here 3 times. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. Playground for the kids, pool, basketball hoop and mini golf. Game room and mini golf a a little run down. Only downfall is its not close to much of anything to do. But we always stay around the campground anyway so it wasnt a problem for us. There is a Walmart about 10 minutes away for groceries and an outlet mall but not much for hiking or other outdoor activities.

I was scolded by a British man for delivering pizza at this location. He told me I had no business there. I said I am doing my job he said I wasnt and he was going to call the police. He kept on about how I was trespassing for delivering to a customer at the camp ground. Very unprofessional and rude.

I have stayed at many K.O.A. in the past , this has been the worst Campground I have ever stayed at . John the owner is very rude, I have been here since June 20 2019 not by choice. I am down here working it was season so all campgrounds were full. I have had issues with my power bill four times and have asked questions only to be told that is what it is, (mind you the paperwork has been done in pencil and has been erased many times) this past month there was another problem with it and when asked if I could get a copy I was denied . The rent went up because of season however we were not allowed to use any amenities . That is not why I am moving , I am leaving because John the owner felt the need to send someone (employee) up on top of camper when I was not home to remove a tree top that broke off, his tree onto my slide without my permission this man could have fell off and sued me ,or my insurance he had no right to take it off as koa is not responsible for acts of God and I might have needed the pics for insurance claim, he has screamed at my husband in front of people at the pool because he forgot his braclet stopped me from coming into the park because I was not giving a parking tag even though I have been here 10 months, and felt the need to charge my credit card on file after he figured out the power situation ,without telling me how much it was ..My husband had a piece of his tire on the grass he came over yelling at him to get off the grass yet if you drive around there are others he says nothing to , I had to buy weed eater because he does not mow our grass, its just to much ,I am not the only one dealing with this guy and his attitude when I told him last night I was leaving he said good riddance. I think Koa needs to pull their name from this campground.

I was stopped by the KOA Police on his golf cart which was the owner because I went down a road that was I guess was restricted. I didnt see any sign. I guess he does not allow you to explore the campground. VERY, VERY rude. I was told to leave and not come back. DONT WORRY!! There is no reason to treat people the way I was treated and talked to. Looking at other reviews sounds like this campground is heading for failure. Really needs to get back to its roots.

The owners are so very rude. He almost ran us down on tractor. Then he flagged us down and said we was trespassing. There are no signs saying you cant tour campground first. Very, very, rude man. Cant believe KOA would allow this. I wouldnt stay here even if it was free!!!!

Well folks Im not gona sugar coat this in any way shape or form .The camping areas are nice and wooded but if you have 2 vehicles or should I say 2 big 4×4s that take up too much space you will have to park one at the office and depending were they locate you this could be quite a distance away from the site that you pay for and if you so happen to have a trailer you are pulling behind your vehicle it will have to be put it in what they call dry storage and pay extra for that daily also you will be asked to save on power and turn the lights off in the bathhouses and so in return when you go at night its jet black in them also you better be prepared to take a very quick shower because the hot water does not last long at all and the temperature is turned down so low that you dont really have to run any cold with it so in return you run out of hot water even faster and by chance you need to wash clothes dont have more than 3 loads to wash or should I say 2 because 1 was broken and if possible make sure you wash only in cold water and dont even think about washing you precious fur babies blankies ...Not allowed.... and one more thing make sure you slow it down folks slow it down real slow like 7 1/2 mph is the speed limit Im sure you want forget it because the signs are everywhere and quiet time starts at 10 oclock .Enjoy your stay at KOASpartanburg NE / Gaffney .
