I will never forget my experience with this place, it was around 3-4 years ago and I was in a very bad place mentally and physically. I remember walking into a newly renovated space and seeing so many distraught people in the waiting room, but what followed I’ll never forget. They stuck me in a tiny room that was probably 60 degrees and I remember literally shivering from how cold it was. I sat in there for at least half an hour before I came out of the room asking where the doctor was. Eventually, about 10 minutes later (40 minutes past our appointment time) Dr. Mech came in and it was clear that I was just another number in his day. Little to no empathy, just pills to push. This is a borderline evil place, and to the day I die I’ll never forget my experience here. I left even more depressed and hopeless than ever. I pray that no one goes to this clinic. You’ll leave worse off than you came in.

My wife went to this doc 4 years ago for a single appointment. She did not wish to continue, as he wasnt very helpful during that first visit. Fast forward to today, and she just got an email from a law firm threatening to take her to court if she does not pay her unpaid balance of $250 in the next 5 days. We never once received a single phone call, email, or letter from this office during the entire 4 years (yes, FOUR YEARS) regarding this phantom unpaid balance. Not 1 single communication about it. And no, we have not changed our phone numbers. We have tried calling his office numerous times, and have yet to get an answer. How many other doctor offices can you say that about?Reading other reviews, you can easily conclude that this is a shady practice. Most of the good reviews seem fake as well (my opinion) since they focus on making excuses for the doctor, rather than complimenting his skillset - he even had (what looks to be) his relative, Rohnan Mech, give a 5-star review to bump up his rating. If you look at the reviews of his previous locations, you get a much clearer picture. A doctor who doesnt update you on location changes, doesnt answer the phone, sends bills through lawyers years after appointment with no prior communication, and abandons patients, is a 1-star doctor. I do not like giving bad reviews, as I know the toll it can have on a business, which is why this is legitimately my first bad review I have written on Google. But when business is THIS bad, I feel obligated to forewarn other potential patients. As someone who works in the medical field, I urge all of you to stay clear of Dr. Mech and his office. Theres plenty of other great options out there, with a lot less headaches.

WARNING ⚠️Dont go to Dr. Mech! I would actually leave 0 stars if that was possible. If you do go to him make sure you inform yourself about Abandoned Care Laws as well as Texas Insurance and Texas Billing laws!We stopped seeing him back in 2018 because they would never answer their phones! If you need meds you shouldnt have to chase down you doctor.Fast forward to a few days ago we received bills from 2017 and 2018 that where supposedly already written off in 2019 by a different billing company. We also received a threatening letter from a law firm.

My wife and I and her son see Dr. Mech. We just received a letter from an attorney this morning saying that that are coming after us for $200 for unpaid bills. Well, our Out of Pocket Max has been met since January. We have NEVER received ANY bills from Dr. Mechs office and now they have an attorney coming after us for reasons unknown. I have been trying to call Mechs office all day and they will not even answer the phone. We have no idea about what the $200 is for. We do know that its for her son though, but for what and from when? We have no idea. I do see that they have not filed any claims with our insurance for her son. Id say that thats their problem, not mine.Furthermore, Dr. Mech is consistently many hours late on calling in for virtual appointments if he ever does. I think its time for the three of us to find a new psychiatrist.

The Office manager/ receptionist Jenny is so helpful unlike most places I have been. she actually cares and answers everytime I have to call .I would definitely recommend this place for people who actually need help she makes the place worth going as well as Dr.Mech he is an amazing doctor that listens and helps.

Ive been with Dr Mech for about 7 years. He is the most understanding and most caring dr Ive worked with. Ive struggled with depression and anxiety since teens actually. Ive seem many psychiatrist. I live in Tyler. We do most appointments by internet. He will work with you in every way. Give him a try. You wont regret it.

I have been seeing this doctor for about four years now. He is an outstanding doctor. He has always catered to my condition and helped me for 4 years going on 5 now.

Booked my follow-up appointment for after the office was closed. Needless to say, I did not get to see the doctor.

I have not found a more thorough or compassionate psychiatrist than Dr. Mech. He took great care of me and I truly appreciated him. He was very helpful and I would highly recommend him to ALL of my military brothers and sisters.

Please please dont go to Dr. Mech. If you do, review Abandonment of Care laws before your visit. He disappears and will leave you without your meds. I called at 10am, had a 10:30 appointment, and never heard from anyone again. Wouldnt answer when I called. I needed med refills and he left me scrambling to get them taken care of on the fly! Sadly, this is not the first time this has happened. If he opens another office, dont go.

My girlfriend told me about him. He has been through a lot as anybody has but he truly cares and tries to do ALL he can to help his patients. And he listens to them she says . She has been through many doctors. Dr Mech is by far the best in every way. Im thankful for him myself for helping her where others couldnt.

Dr. Arnold Mech is wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and caring! I have many medical issues that go far beyond psychiatry and Dr. Mech was the only Dr. I found to even give me the time of day!!! There have been a lot of changes with his office the last yea, however they are now back open for normal business and I strongly recommend him to everyone!Christine Johnson

I have been seeing Dr Mech since 2011 and have always told myself I should write a review but I never have and I feel it’s time I do so. Dr mech is a wonderful and caring doctor and I thank god I found him. I suffer from bipolar depression, anxiety, and ADD. Having this combination is really tricky to live with and I feel Dr mech is one of the few doctors that gets it. It’s so refreshing to not have to explain all your struggles, in fact the doctor has explained what it is like so well I don’t know how he comprehends it to the degree he does without suffering himself. The doctor will take as long as you need to go over your symptoms or if it’s just a check up he wiper waste your time and you can keep it short if your doing good. He is very easy to talk to and beyond knowledgeable. I recommend him highly to anyone suffering and frustrated with their mental illness. I also must point out that his current assistant Jenny is simply wonderful. She’s super polite and not intimidating. If your reading this you have found the right place.

I have been a patient of Dr Mech since 2015. I also have over 13 combined years experience as a nurse in critical care and pediatrics. Dr. Mech is the best psychiatrist I have EVER seen. Not only does he listen to everything that I am experiencing, but he takes me seriously and has helped me where others have failed. Theres no way I would see anyone else. Also, Dr mech has the best staff. Kindness and understanding is important when dealing with psychiatric patients and Jenni goes above and beyond. Im always amazed at her kindness and willing to help, shes a kind nurse with allot of responsibility that handles it with grace. I honestly dont know what Id do without them. God bless you both, and everyone else at Dr Mechs.

All these 5 star reviews are fake. Look at the reviews from the previous offices that have closed (there are at least 3). DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. He will close up shop in the middle of the night, and leave you in the lurch.
