My experience started out as a very pleasant one. I was so excited to get a return call back immediately. Unlike in Oklahoma where I had contacted no less than 12 different offices and 2 contacted me back to say they did not see adults. This office did immediately contact me and get my appointment scheduled wit a convenient online zoom call, the staff was very friendly. I unfortunately had issues with the link they sent working properly it only allowed me to take twice having issues with the tests coming out properly so I couldn’t do again. I was then told I could spend more money and see another doctor for a 6-8 hour evaluation after I had paid for the visit to be told my test results couldn’t be determined. I’m from a generation we were told to set still, and deal not helped with our thinking, and let me tell you when you are over 50 good luck, and here they were absolutely of no help to me either!! I heard wonderful things about one of the therapist in the office however the one I worked with I can’t say the same! She seemed to give the vibe that this was not of any consequence and believe me it is! I’m just disgusted at the whole process and give up!

Dr Aina uses a whole person approach. In attempting to help me get back on track (and I was a mess) he tested and analyzed my sleep, blood work, testosterone, cortisol, in addition to determining the right mental health med for may condition. Previous efforts with other psychiatrists that only prescribed meds focused on the mental condition were unsuccessful. Today after following through with all of Dr Aina’s recommendations based on the various testing and analysis, I am a mentally and physically healthy man. And instead of being on 3 to 4 mental health meds, I’m on one. Thank you Dr Aina for your whole person approach to mental health.

I almost never post reviews but my appointment with Dr. Aina went so poorly that I felt compelled to warn others before they spend their money on his practice. He has another profile Tri-MED Behavioral & Sleep Medicine: Oluyemi Aina, MD with various poor reviews. I’d made my decision to see him based on this page and giving him the benefit of the doubt on his Healthgrades.I just got off a call with him after waiting a month to be seen as a new patient. My experience has been extremely disappointing and I’m appalled at how I was treated. For anyone suffering from a complex or frustrating diagnosis, Dr. Aina is a WASTE of time and money and will make you regret opening up to him about your pain.The doctor’s attitude from the get-go was dismissive and rude. He started the appointment late, then cut me off multiple times after asking me to describe my issues and asked me outright multiple times why I was seeing him in the first place. I told him I was seeking to transfer care after not seeing progress for years on my condition, having seen several ineffectual psychiatrists and tried upwards of ten medications to no benefit. He essentially accused me of doctor shopping and made me justify why I had switched from each psychiatrist even though he went through my prescription history and could clearly see evidence of me being prescribed inappropriate medications. Note that I did NOT at any point ask for addictive or controlled medications during the appointment. He told me I had no idea what I was talking about regarding my diagnosis and looking stuff up on the internet is no way similar to having a medical degree, as if I was making things up about my lived experience. Before we were even halfway through the appointment, you could see he’d already washed his hands of me. I was nothing but civil and yet from the beginning it felt like I was on the stand defending myself before a judge.I don’t know if this doctor treats every new patient with this attitude-- I don’t know if it was because I’m young and a woman or if he just doesn’t respect his clientele. It’s very unlikely he was unaware how he was coming across. It’s truly a shame how many individuals lacking a shred of empathy decide to go into psychiatry, makes you wonder if much of the stigma surrounding mental illness is perpetuated by the providers themselves. The one star on this review goes towards the medical assistant who did my intake, she at least was friendly and treated me like a person.

When my previous Dr passed away unexpectedly, I was transferred over to TriMed. Wasnt familiar with the Dr.s at the time, but I gave them a chance and I couldn’t be happier! Dr. Aina and Ms. Joyce are extremely very nice, understanding and both are very knowledgeable. Always a pleasure at each appointment time!

Excellent care and service! Dr . Aina is Very knowledgeable , caring and takes time to understand your concerns. His assistant Stephanie is caring, knowledgeable and quick to respond to concerns and questions you have for her or Dr. Aina As well! The front desk staff is very professional, polite and prompt!

I began trying to reach my doctor at 11:55 am in severe emotional crisis. I continued several times trying to reach my doctor. I sent a message to her that my husband was driving me to bhc even though I still had not heard from my doctor. I waited for hours to be assessed/admitted. My doctor was never told of my crisis until I called again almost 5 hours after my first call and additional calls in between. Stacy, her assistant, was no help to me whatsoever. This was a very difficult and emotional afternoon but rather than call me to better understand my situation, she just sent me a text hoping I would feel better and never notified my doctor until my final call nearly 5 hours after I began to seek Dr. Mwaniki’s support. Kendra is a person I have trusted in the past. Stacy is a person I will not trust. Dr. Mwaniki told me to ask for Elizabeth so I will try that. This was, thankfully, a rare occurrence for me to be so emotionally bereft but the office staff dropped the ball completely and left me hanging at the hospital with no information at all from my doctor because she never knew.

Visit with Dr Aina was great, he was running behind but I understand being a nurse myself how that happens and he was very apologetic and the staff gathering information prior to the visit made the process smoother. I appreciate them all.

I wanted to make a post, to just let everyone who stops by to read the Google reviews, that I have been in the Medical field for 15 years and I have worked in Oncology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, and OB/Gyn, and I feel that I have finally found my comfort and my home. I have a huge passion for this field and strive to make sure that every patient gets the attention they deserve and need and that you always get a call back. Dr. Aina and the other Practitioners are so caring and amazing.

Dr. Aina is a very caring & an extremely good psychiatrist. He truly wants to do everything he can do to help you feel better. He’s been great at managing my Bipolar 1 disorder to the point where I feel much better & also I’mable to recognize when something is wrong so I can call him & try to manage it without having to go to the hospital.His office staff is very friendly & effeciant.

Always feel listened to. My concerns and needs are always addressed and different options are presented rather than the single, medication-only option. Very friendly and professional staff with great communication before, during, and after appointments. Very tech-friendly too; I’ve only ever had online appointments and communication and never had any problems. High recommend for psychiatric care.

Complete waste of time and money. Dr. Aina does not care about his patients and will leave you waiting weeks and even months for answers. Even with a family history of suicide and me telling him I’m extremely depressed, he couldn’t have cared less. Told me to get labs done first before he devised a plan to treat me, I had to call for a week before he’d send the referral, paid $300 for the labs just to wait a month to get another appointment with him to tell me to take basic supplements that I’ve already tried in the past. His NP is extremely rude as well.Oh, he was rude and judgmental about the fact that I’m in nursing school at the age of 30! Had me feeling even more upset like there’s something wrong with that.

It is hard for me to put into words how grateful I am for Dr. Aina and his amazing team but I will try. My therapist referred me to Dr. Aina and it has been a game changer. From Terri at the front desk to Stephanie his medical assistant. They are all so kind and patient. Dr. Aina really takes his time to understand you and to come up with the best plan possible.No other psychiatrist will take the time to truly understand you like Dr. Aina does.I have had some extremely hard times with my mental health over the past few months and they carried me through. I have never felt judged which is so important when dealing with mental health.The there’s Stephanie his Medical Assistant. She truly goes above and beyond to help you with whatever you need. She has talked me off the ledge a few different times. She is a very special person and extremely gifted in her profession.I could go on and on. I am so happy that I am able to share my experience in this review.

I love Dr. Aina and have been seeing him for almost three years now. I’ve been there through the staffing change and that was as smooth as it could be. Dr. Aina cares about his patients and always wants them to feel well. He is timely and very attune to when his patients are not feeling well or in a slump. The ketamine nurse Halona is awesome. She is always pleasant and makes treatment a good experience. She is professional and is great at what she does.

First appointment, Dr is 15 mins late. No one informed me, Dr didn’t apologize. Didn’t feel like she really cares, just ready to give meds. No counseling here, have to go somewhere else.

If you care about your mental health do not go here. These people are unorganized, incompetent, and do not have your best interests in mind. I have now asked 3x over the last 3 months to stop having my prescription sent to a particular pharmacy and they have been incapable of doing so. To make it worse even if you request refill of your medicine 5 business days in advance you are LUCKY if they even put in the refill request. You are better off to look for a more competent organization. This place is a joke.Finally they were able to “remove” the wrong pharmacy from my chart. But I’ll wait until next month to believe it. But yet can’t put in a simple refill for my meds so now I’m out. FIND A DIFFERENT DOCTOR TRUST ME

Dr Aina is a phenomenal psychiatrist, that is truly interested in his patients well being. As a healthcare worker myself, I have seen those who are only interested in just the payout. That’s not the case with him. I appreciate his expertise & insights & am looking forward to the future.

Dr Aina is knowledgeable in nutrition and physiology as well as in mental health. He is supportive in ways that reach beyond the cut and dried (and sometimes rushed) appts w my other specialists.

This office is completely incompetent. Every time they told me my medications were sent in to the pharmacy, either the medications weren’t sent correctly, they weren’t sent at all or a medication I don’t even take was sent in. I had to temporarily see a different nurse practitioner one month and she unnecessarily reduced the quantity of my anxiety medication, without telling me, because I told her they were as needed. When I realized what she did, I called the office and they made me schedule another appointment with her (I had to pay another copay) and she still didn’t give me the full prescription that was recorded in my chart. I’ve been going here for about a year and a half and it’s been nothing but trouble. Take what I have to say with a grain of salt because everyone’s experience is different but this office is ridiculous and I am no longer a patient there.

Looking forward to a brighter future. Loved the triage nurse and docs engagement. Appreciate the fact that he studies in more depth of anything you have going on. Appreciate his patience and sense of humor. He smiles and means it and it makes it much less intimidating. He is in the know of what testing might cost and that’s helpful. Seems genuine and I’m so thankful.

I have been with Dr. Aina for over 5 years and feel very comfortable in his care..

My therapist actually care to keep in touch and took me off 3 antidepresants that di not need it. I only taking one half and weaning myself off the last one. I am very appreciative of my experience with Tri-MED. I am still on recovery but I am rapidly on my way to feel like a normal human being again.

Joyce & the whole staff have all taken such good care of me & my daughter. We’ve had bad experiences with some psychiatrists, but Joyce has helped us to trust again & to heal. I would highly recommend Tri-MED for all your mental needs.

I have been seeing Dr Aina for a number of years. He is brilliant in his field of psychiatry. I could not ask for better. He is caring and highly perceptive. The lack of care and organization for a psychiatry office is sickening. The staff at this office is not only unprofessional, but incompetent. I’m sure Dr. Aina is a great doctor, but will not get to find out since their lack of assistance is forcing to find a new psychiatrist just to get my medications filled I have requested over and over again for 2 WEEKS!!I was assured multiple times that my prescriptions would be filled. This is the second time I have been forced to go through debilitating withdrawal because of the irresponsible and carefree staff. This is a psychiatry office and you really expect me to believe the doctor doesn’t have a cell phone that can be reached after hours for emergencies? No doctor who cares for patients with life threatening conditions would leave their care in the hands of a staff who is so careless.

The hardest part about being a parent is watching your children suffer. My daughter was excelling thanks to her very dedicated psychiatrist. That psychiatrist is no longer practicing, so we found Dr. Aina. Since seeing Dr. Aina my daughter has regressed twice for the first time in years. His staff ignored her prescription requests multiple times and gave her the run around everyone she got through to request help. They told her there was nothing they could do, yet today after she left a 1 star review, FINALLY received her prescription and a phone call from the manager. This is the second time she has put in multiple requests just to get her prescriptions late. As a parent, I highly recommend going somewhere where the office staff cares about their patients’ safety!

I’ve been working with Dr Joyce several years now. She is patient, kind and thorough. She takes her time and does not rush you through the appointment.

Dr. Joyce Manwaki has been so very helpful and kind. I have been seeing her for years. She is always there for me. My sleep pattern has improved so much.

If you’re looking for a good doctor, keep looking. My friend came to Dr.Aina looking for help with her chronic insomnia that she’s struggled with for many years. Instead of listening to her and trying to help her find a solution, Dr.Aina provided no help, was patronizing and dismissive, and neglected to follow up with her on the treatment plan he suggested. He also called her life “small”, whatever that means. Now she’s out $200 and has to search for a new doctor that will actually provide her the care she needs.

The initial appointments at trimed were alright, but the disappointment and frustration only came when I needed my medications. I had called repeatedly to request a refill for 4+ days, with no response. This wasn’t the first time that Trimed had not returned my calls, or failed to send my refill in. I didn’t have any big demands, I just need my meds to be refilled

I am hopeful that this experience will provide the help I needed for my issues. I had some trouble understanding the provider due to my hearing and provider’s strong accent but was able to communicate effectively.

So far I feel I am getting the help I need mentally yet I don’t it’s a hard thing to know if you are or not when you have PTSD , Depression and Anxiety my fear says no but my family says yes lol I am on the right meds for me and they have worked very hard to listen to me when I can express myself and explain my feelings the dr and staff are great and very sweet an helpful when I call most return my calls no later than 24 hours, some they get back to me the same day the nursing staff has even listened to my husband about my care and left note’s for the dr because I forget sometimes so if you are looking for someone to hear you and I mean hear you and not not say take this and take that but never take the time to actually listen then this is the place for you and your family I have never experienced anything other than kindness with Tri-Med and the staff

Very unprofessional service. I’ve called several times to get my prescriptions refilled. Finally, after many attempts to get into contact with them I only had one called in out of the three. Had to call again only to hear that I had to contact the pharmacy myself and STILL did not have my third prescription filled. Overall the staff is unorganized and doesn’t answer the phones 9/10 times. Dr. Aina is incredible, thorough, and very caring towards his patients. It’s a shame that I will no longer be able to continue seeing him due to the inconsistencies with his staff.

I originally had a bad experience with the staff here on my first visit. My first review was very negative. Someone from their office reached out to me within a couple of days wanting to get specifics of my visit. She was very concerned and apologetic. She encouraged me to come back ensuring that my visit would be positive and there would be no awkwardness from the bad review that I had left. I apprehensively went back - taking my husband with me. I had a very nice visit, the staff was nice and I was so impressed with Dr. Aina. He was kind and very engaged in what was going on with me. My husband and I were both very happy with my visit and I am looking forward to a long relationship with this office. I commend them for reaching out and treating me with respect. Every concern I have is listened to and taken seriously. As person who was afraid to talk about my mental health, this makes the entire process so much easier.
