We ended up booking this place last minute after our reservation at another place fell through and I’m glad it did. This place is amazing!! A ton of space in between sites and half the sites have direct access to the waters edge. People were parking boats over night so it was easy for them to jump in and take off. Each site came with a covered picnic table and fire pit. Public bathrooms and showers were well maintained. The location is less then 10 mins from a Walmart. There are a ton of restaurants and things to do in the area. It was very easy to take walks every morning since the layout is giant loop. Only downside is our site had a major fire ant problem and during setup we ended up covered in ants/ant bites. Ouch! So be prepared! Nonetheless it won’t stop us from returning.

I do not recommend camping at Hidden Cove. I paid $40 for a one night tent site on 10/9/21. Not all sites have grills, the ones that did, the ashes were just scooped onto the ground. No fire rings. They have you dig holes in the ground, so theres holes everywhere. There was a burn ban in effect due to high winds, which was in no way enforced. People were playing music and being loud until 1am. All sites are walk to sites, and the restrooms are a long walk away from the campsites. In the morning, there was so much trash everywhere. I have been to a lot of campgrounds, and this was definitely the worst experience Ive had.

Really nice place. Need better signs to tell you where youre going. I entered the gate, I saw big signs directly in front @ the intersection. I was so focused on the BIG signs that I missed the small sign on the right b4 the intersection. So now Im wondering why this huge sign DOESNT tell me where the RV sites are. They didnt give me a map. 😆

The place is amazing but we had one of the worst nights of our camping experiences. There was a big group of people in tents next to us drinking and partying all night and we couldnt sleep. We tried to call security just to find out that at night there is no security whatsoever. We left 8.30 in the morning and still we couldnt find someone in charge. After this, I would not recommend you to camp at this place.

It is an excellent park with plenty of activities. They have a large assortment of water activity equipment available for renting. They also rent bikes. I camped out in a tent and the sites are very spacious and lots of grass right next to the lake. We knew before we arrived that the shelters had been damaged by a flood. But the shelters provided a great enclosed eating area for us. On the negative side there needs to be more attention on the restroom, they need to be cleaned more often. Yes, we are out to experience nature when we go camping but theres a problem with the number of spiders that are present. My daughter stayed in an RV. For me the sites were entirely to close. For people that stay in RVs they might be okay with the amount of space but if I had an RV I would want more space. We had a great time and we will return.

My family had a reunion recently at the bunkhouse. We had a hard time dealing with the overnight staff. They knew we had the maximum amount of people staying at the house (their max is listed as 20 people online). In response to our honest experience in our review, the business has berated our family for not being prepared when we werent provided the basics as expected. We told them none of the bathrooms or rooms had any towels or toilet paper in them. There were NO garbage bags or paper towels. We did report it once we arrived because you would expect that 20 people staying for a weekend would need these items. The staff did respond and bring the supplies though we had to ask multiple times to get enough equipment. They also did not have a bbq grill even though we had requested one as other reviewers have reported as well.Honestly, the issue came overnight the first night we were there. After one of the upstairs showers was used, the bedroom roof right below it started leaking and completely soaked the bed (linens, mattress, etc). We stopped using the shower right away and reported it. The employee who answered was with security and was very rude on the phone when we asked for extra linens to replace what was soaked. Without listening to what happened, he yelled at us and asked what are you people doing? And told us that if you had done your checklist, you would know what you needed when you got there and that he couldnt bring us anything. We tried to explain that we didnt need the linens if the roof hadnt leaked but he hung up on us instead. No one came to evaluate. We pulled the bed frame away, cleaned up the mess with towels, and flipped the mattress in order to have enough beds to sleep on. The next day someone came to check the roof but by then, everything was dry because we stopped using the shower. The manager offered to extend our checkout to make up for the rude, disrespectful, and discriminating service. The lake and activities were definitely enjoyable but staying here is not worth dealing with unprofessional people. From what I can tell, the company responds to negative reviews by claiming that their clients were rude, yelling at staff, and demanding and that everything was provided as promised, so I will expect nothing less this time, but I want people debating renting the bunkhouse to be informed on the overpriced and unsatisfactory service they will be receiving when booking here.

Park is decent but most public area are behind marina and does not have direct access to open waters. $15 charge for couple of hours in evening is not value for money. Also I am putting 2 stars as I saw some cars were let in without any charge and some were getting charged. There are many other access points to Lake Lewisville and I would suggest using them instead of coming here unless you are planning for a full day or can ckrack a deal so they let you go in without any charge.

If I could give negative stars I would. I have never even made it to the park and have had the absolute worst customer service experience ever! I will never go to the park in person and warn everyone to never go! Spoke with Ryan who was an understanding individual who seemed to genuinely want to help. Dallas the manager however wanted to help but did not seem genuine about it and then Brad the GM who refused to call and can only relay messages through Dallas can only be described as how does he even sleep at night. I am in the process of putting together a US Army veterans memorial service whose ashes are being escorted from Colorado back home 3 months later. We just got his ashes released to family and his mom needs closer so we are doing his memorial the first weekend we can to put this all behind us. The vet is being escorted by other vets on motorcycles to bring him home and honor his memory. In my initial conversation and a second conversation I was told it is a holiday weekend so our prices are firm!?! Basically was told we want to make money this weekend so pay $10 a car and motorcycle. Nearly 1000 just to enter the park to spread ashes and a small memorial less than 3 hours time. I requested Brad call me after an email was sent saying that it did not matter, pricing would not be discounted or group rate for everyone. Brad never called me Dallas called back to tell me if we just changed all our plans to a different weekend Brad would be willing to offer a pricing discount. After a discussion Dallas called Brad back and then myself and offered $5 for the 1st 15 bikes and $10 per car. No group rate and on top of this we would not be able to park be where the memorial would be done. We would have to park a ways away from that location. I can see why a grieving mother was having a panic attack about how she would host her sons memorial service. By the customer service I received today.** Yes I did loose it briefly when I was told that spreading the ashes was a worry for offending people. The ashes would not have been spread in a swim area. And yes I did loose it with someone else when I was told am email had been sent out that essentially said due to a holiday weekend that makes money nothing could be done. And an apology was given to the manager that I yelled at during our last conversation because it is not his fault he got stuck in the middle. My overall impression of the entire situation is as long as there is a chance to make more money that is the option that is the option going to be chosen by management. The discount that was offered was explained as the everyday price for veterans and service members 90% of our group would have been veterans or active service members. I asked multiple times for a group rate that I never received. Also I do not know many people who would not get offended or upset when someone tells them just choose any other weekend for a loved ones memorial service. But none the less I found a much nicer location with much better customer service and a GM that does not hide behind their employees.

This feels like private property almost. Camp grounds, boat launch, picnic area, water sports, restrobar. Well equipped. A nice and quiet spot can be easily found here. Talk to the gate attendant for quiet spots as the main landing is always crowded. Oh yea, the entry, if you are not a member, is $15 each time you enter so be careful to not end up exiting the park while trying to find a parking.

I thought the park was a little pricey for what they offered. I believe upon driving throughout the campsites that this park is more geared towards their cabin rentals for the turkey loop road. As the cabins have the majority of waterfront spots. I didn’t stay on any cabins yet but in order to check the area I did sign up to be a member on this park and the price is very reasonable. One thing I can say that the guest are so “trashy”, literally! I can’t believe this people are trying to throw their trash in the lake, and also surrounding the lake. Don’t get me wrong the lake is pretty esp. sunset but the trash are everywhere. C’mon, you guys should put at least a close trash bin so people know where to put their trash. Dogs are not on leash and they’re so scary because I always had my dogs on leash. The guest are the problem not the park. These people have no class at all! Please fix the trash! Both around the park and people.

This park is very well maintained, has plenty of grills and covered picnic tables. The only issue I have is that we had to pay to enter and then most of these picnic areas have to be reserved in advance. So for those, no knowing ahead of time or those wishing to go spur of the moment... You might not get a table/grill. There is plenty of parking but we did go during a slow day so not sure if worse on the weekends. The bathrooms were relatively clean and stocked with tp and soap.

My two night bday getaway was lovely. Helpful staff made the check in smooth and the setting was very peaceful. Unfortunately after check out, my sense of peace ended there. Today is my 5th business day after check out and I have left 2 messages for the manager regarding not receiving my $350 deposit back. The first call he wasn’t at work yet. Nobody working could help. My second call “he was busy fixing something on the grounds”. I’ve experienced a total disregard for professionalism and consideration concerning an update on my damage deposit. I will likely have to dispute the charge with my bank as it is not of importance to the company. I will not recommend this company based on the treatment after check out. I will provide an update if anything changes.UPDATE 7/18Today I received my full security deposit refund. I do grant understanding and some consideration for the company having to restructure the refund process due to a sick employee. Communication would have given me a total different outlook on the situation. Now that I know the company is legit with returning refunds, my family will definitely be back to enjoy the property.

Weve been here a few times, the RV pad sites are not very level and the erosion around nearly all the pads in spots 1-50 is terrible, we were in spot 12 and had about 5 inches of drop from pad to ground.. A few have no drop off but nearly all others are an inch to more than 4 inches of drop or have dilapidated wooden decks. I walked around and took notes. There was what I guess was an abandoned car in one of the restroom parking stalls, the tires were flat or nearly flat. Shame because the park has great potential. Prices are high for eroded and cracked sites. Not sure if this park will be on our list of places to stay maybe only if the few spots I made notes on of good ground to pad levelness are available or there are no other campgrounds on the lake available.

My site, level concrete pad, half shade trees and a lot of room, more room than other private parks and even state parks, trails, and lake. Only drawback was no free Wifi, but there is good cell service. This is minor considering the large area each site has. I stayed at most places in Dallas and I would rate them as the best. There is one other item is they collect the full amount up front and they are strick about refunds. Considering their price is reasonable this is understandable.

When entering the site area no directions were given so had to back out - saw this happening to many people arriving. The young kids working up front obviously don’t understand RVs so they don’t ask the right questions or provide the information needed to get to sites easily. Slab was not level so our 40 foot rig would never level on all 6 legs - ended up putting out walls with fear. Top it off - no sewer hookups so when leaving we went by their dump station - it was a pool of poop sewer - so nasty we had to find a trunk stop to dump. Don’t recommend - not returning.
