I’ve recently started going to see Dr. Byun for severe shoulder and neck pain. When I first went in, Dr. Byun could almost instantly tell what my issues were, and he pinpointed all of my trouble spots. Dr.Byun knows what he’s doing. Some Acupuncture doctors will just do what you ask for money. But he pays close attention on what results the patient wants. I have been easily getting tired and losing appetite, but not anymore after his treatments and medicines

I’ve been on and off for a while with various symptoms. I tried to make an appointment with a doctor but I had to get a referral by PCP and by the time I make an appointment, my symptoms had gone away. US medical system was truly inconvenient. Recently I had a severe case of inflammation with a bad headache so I decide to go to an urgent care. I waited about an hour and a doctor came along, literally spent 2 minutes with me and left. They gave me a shot and prescribed anti-biotics. Inflammation subsided in a few days but this headache would not go away. After some research, I came across Mr. Byun who spent 2 hours with me on my first visit trying to figure out and analyze my symptoms.I just finished 1st half (15days) of his prescriptions and my symptoms including headache went away.He follows-up by asking how my symptoms are and how effective the medicine is. Ive been to a few of herbal clinic when I was in Korea, but its definitely different here. I am very fortunate to meet Mr. Byun.

I am so blessed to have been introduced to this clinic. First, he ensures that the patient gets his full attention. For my appointment, there was nobody before or after me. A 2-hr time slot was set aside just for me. I was surprised when I first walked in because no one was waiting, and that was the reason. This is exactly what he does for the whole time of your treatment.Secondly, as other reviews have already made it clear, and I have alluded to this above, Dr. Byun is sincere and truly dedicated to identifying what your problems are and to restoring your health. I have chronic fatigue, insomnia, some mental phobias, lower and upper back and neck pains (probably stemming from my contorted postures), and digestive problems for years and some of them for close to two decades.. I brought all these to his attention. He would carefully listen to all I have to say and more. We would just talk for 30-45 minutes. Then he would identify the causes for the reasons and.. what struck me most was his confident declaration, Lets start solving these issues. Obviously, holistic is his approach, and this leads me to discuss the efficacy.So, lastly, the efficacy... It was just last week, six days ago, he took a look at all my symptoms and gave me some acupuncture, and prescribed me some medicine for the next few following days. He also taught me to work on my walking posture/gait, for which he prescribed an exercise I should do for 20 mins each day. So I have been following his instructions and... All the issues have gradually been disappearing. Today, I do not have the lower back ache anymore... surprisingly, since after having driven 6 hours on the day of the treatment. I dont feel the need to say more. If you have similar issues as me, it is well worth giving it a shot.Well, he checked on me the right next day. So my review here is just another word of mouth on his consistency of truly doctors care. Highly recommended, and I will definitely keep going until we eradicate my bodily issue altogether --- Im sure it will be in the next few weeks or months at most.

We went through some of my medical history. Truly interested in helping. Not only gave me a great acupuncture treatment but great advice going forward that has helped. True healing hands. Recommend. My wife was in pain for months with sciatic nerve pain. She felt some relief after one session. The pain has been significantly reduced after a few sessions. The treatment includes a form of acupressure in addition to the acupuncture needles. The treatment sessions are about one hour long. She is thrilled to have found a practitioner that is so compassionate and skilled. I would highly recommend him to others.

Very knowledgeable and high level of expertise. I am a pharmacist who was not so sure about oriental medicine and acupuncture. I tried out last year for the first time for my allergy (runny, stopped, itch nose). With the medicine and his treatment my allergy got a lot better. Other than allergy I have visited here for joint or muscle issues like ankle/wrist sprain. His acupuncture does help, and he explains in very much detail where my health issue is from and how to solve them. Highly recommend.

Dr. Byun is very knowledgeable and is focused on finding the root of the problem. Many chiropractors require many appointments but no results. However, Dr. Byun is focused on the patients results. On my first day of treatment, my years of neck pain had gone down instantly. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has any physical issues or pain.

Dr. Byun is Great! I had a problem with my right thumb. I couldn’t bend the thumb. It was diagnosis as Carpal tunnel syndrome from the orthopedics that I need to do surgery to heal. After I diagnosed I visit him to treat my symptom without surgery. He treated me with medication and acupuncture for the symptom. I am using my finger freely and no pain now. He explained about the medication that I need to take. He is knowledgeable in all fields, flexible, compassionate, open, listens, kind, and straight forward to the point. He listens, which is important, and he answers for my question. His communication was very good. I would recommend him to my friends and colleague in future.

I filled out a very detailed questionnaire asking everything from family history, previous procedures to how often my mom poop, how well she sleep and how often she sweat.Dr. Byun is an increditable acupuncturist who really knows his stuff. In my case, I sprained waist when I tried to pick up a heavy carrier last Aug. at first, it was just hurting left side of waist but the more time passes the more pain going on further. “Acupuncture is worth a try for chronic pain”, one of the Harvard health blogs titles.And I totally agree based on my experience.If you are hesitant because of the needle, it is much better than having chronic pain and live with it wasting money on doctor’s visits and pain medications.I have had chronic pain and numbness from ankle radiating to low back area starting from a bad sprained ankle back in 4 years ago.I am guessing it never healed properly and I stretched it wrong on the same spot after a couple years. Since then, I was limping for weeks. Even though it got better, the pain travelled all the way to the lower back with added symptom of stiffness/pain on the knee.It got so bad that I especially had stiffness/pain in the morning or after inactivity( imagine you can’t walk after getting up from eating at a restaurant or getting out of the car after driving). I had to stretch the leg a few times before I could walk normal.I had tried exercise 3-5times a week including private pilates lessons, deep tissue massages, any supplements I could think of, got prescription medications from my doctor but nothing worked. I had a sharp knife like pain between back bone and shoulder blade. In constant pain for a week. After 1 visit the pain was 1/2 as bad within 2 days and completely gone before next visit 1 week later.He is a fantastic acupuncturist.

I have had asthma and seasonal allergy around 25 years.I got treatments from several doctors, specialists and acupuncturists in Korea. However my symptoms is on and off all the time.I met Mr.Byun in Houston and was taken care from him. After a year of lower back pain and not able to sit for long periods of time, without getting up in horrible pain, I stumbled upon Dr. Byun from Google because he was close by. I came in with no expectations and knew from previous experience that sometimes acupuncture takes several treatments to see any results. I found out that my lower back pains main culprit was my neck. That night, while out with friends, for the first time in over a year, I was get up from a chair and not be in any kind of pain. When I realized it, in the bathroom, it almost brought me to tears. Not only has he helped me tremendously with my back/neck pain (which I say has healed 90%) but every appointment at the end I am treated with his own concoction (from his herbal studies) of this allergy/sinus medicine. My 75 year old mom has been suffering from upper and lower back pain for years. She has been diagnosed with sciatica nerve pain recently and the pain is so server that she can barely walk. I normally will pick a Chinese doctor for acupuncture but somehow Dr. Byun’s background caught my attention. Although he is Korean he graduated from a well-known Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture University in China and trained in two well know hospitals. Due to his credentials and experience we gave him a try and found he has a lot of passion for Chinese medicine and acupuncture. The first time we visited Dr. Byun, he took the time to explained to us the root cause of her sciatica nerve pain and the related health issues caused by her back problems. He is very observant, detail oriented, and knowledgeable. Not only did he use acupuncture to treat my mom, he also applied the Tuni techniques to loosen up the tightness of her muscles. My mother has seen a lot of acupuncturist in Hong Kong over the years but Dr. Byun is the best by far. We feel so blessed that we found him via our search online and hope this review helps someone else.

Dr. Byun is the best Chinese medicine practitioner that Ive ever known. Ive had a chronic headache for over 5 years, and no one was able to cure it until I got to know Dr. Byun. Since I live in the other state, he only could diagnose over the phone. After the diagnosis, he was pretty confident that a 10-day treatment would be enough to cure my headache. At first, to be honest, I couldnt believe him since no other treatment, even a 2-month treatment, was successful in the past. I was diagnosed with LUPUS almost 3 years ago, and was terrible. I found first of all to a Homeopathic clinic, and they help me a lot, but always trying different methods, and without more patients with my illness. I have been to over 30 different acupunturist, and Dr. Byun is the best one by far. I was first treated by him on April 2nd, 2012 due to an automobile accident which I hurt my siatic nerve. I could barely walk. After my first treatment, the severe pain subsided. I was estatic to find an acupunturist that specialized in Suki. I had only seen Suki on the National Geographic Channel and wished I could have that done. Dr. Byuns healing hands are like magic. He could feel my pain through his hands and takes my pain away. I go as often as I can, because after every visit I feel so good, have so much energy, and sleep so well.

Since 1 year ago, daily life has been difficult due to stress caused by circular hair loss, menstrual irregularities, and shoulder clogging.
