They were kind caring and understanding when we had to put our dog down. My regular vet would not even attempt to fit us in even though my sweet boy was quickly declining. Citi Animsl Hospital got me in immediately and stayed late for us. We switched our other dog to their care. Thank you thank you thank you!

Citi Animal Hospital is AMAZING! This is where I take my pets for their check ups. Last night my cats eye became swollen and wasn’t adjusting to the light like it should. This morning I went in at 8 am in a worry and they took him in right away and looked him over! I was so relieved that they were able to fit him in even though it was a walk in! I LOVE this place! I always feel like my pets are taken care of. Very lovely people!

This clinic worked us in as a new patient 1 hour before they closed after our previous vet would not help us. Our senior dog was in a lot of pain due to a GI issue. Previous vet told us to take him to Vet ER. Like most people we were not prepared to spend $1000 at the ER. Dr. K and staff were very professional and attentive to our dogs needs. No tests were preformed without discussion of cost first. I highly recommend Citi Animal Hosp.

Back in May 2021 this hospital saved my last 2 Chihuahua puppies. I lost 5 fur babies to that horrible disease called PARVO 😔😢 I only had 2 left and needed medicine right away. One was positive and the other negative but he would be positive shortly. They 2 my babies and saved them. It was a 2 day procedure and they treated my fur babies like they were their babies. I told them I just lost my daddy in April 2021 and losing all my fur babies was making me highly depressed. My daddy loved dogs just like me. In fact since I was born we always always had dogs. The staff was just amazing and the Veterinarian Was awesome. They are such a loving staff. My babies made it. Dr. Koothan and the staff here at Citi Animal hospital are fantastic. I had an emergency with my toy poodle. I was treated with compassion and care from the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was quick to respond and reacted with appropriate urgency. Not only was the initial visit reassuring the follow up care has been second to none. I know my fur babies are in capable caring hands at citi. Emergency vet care is expensive but Dr. Koothan and his staff are considerate of budget and explain all details prior to performing services. Dr. Koothan explains everything and gives a realistic prognosis without sugar coating. I have had emergency vet situations in the past that dont compare to the care I received here. Thank you from the bottom if my heart!

Unfortunately, our experience with our pets here was terrible. Front desk staff is extremely unpleasant, rude and unprofessional. The practicing veterinarian and owner doesnt seem to have compassion for animals at all, his priority is definitely the almighty dollar. What a shame. Do not take your furbabies here. Ever. They will be treated as an inconvenience to the staff, and as a second thought by the owner and Dr. Not a good experience.There are plenty of other places to get care for you animals in friendswood. Places that treat you and your pets with compassion and respect.Go anywhere but here.

I took my puppy here in December 2020 under the assumption that her first visit fee was free given the coupon (as of March 2021) currently on their website. After the visit, the vet refused to honor the coupon and said it needs to be removed from the website. Yet it still has not been removed. Further, I asked for an overall exam and they failed to scan her for a microchip. I called after and asked if they could add this to their records and they said I would need to schedule an appointment (and pay a fee) so they could scan her and add it to the records. I also receive post cards in the mail from this place stating my dog is not up-to-date on her vaccines when in fact she is. I have to call each time and verify that I did not miss a dosage or vaccine. Lastly, I was never offered any variety of heartworm/flee medication and was charged for a 3-in-1 expensive brand, not knowing I had other options. They do something similar when they call and ask you to approve the shots they want to give your dog (i.e. there is no clarification what is required and what is recommended). The vet and vet tech are friend in conversation, but this is a poorly run facility that exhibits fraud in my opinion.

We just recently purchased a Goldendoodle puppy and could not get anyone to schedule us for an exam. They were able to fit is in the same day and get our pup screened and check out. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful!

These people dont know how to deal with the public. Very unprofessional. They try to do tests and vaccinations that are not requested so your bill is incredibly high. No wonder the place looks like a castle.

This place was awful. Took 6 hours cause my dog wouldnt pee for a urinalysis. Then they tried to charge me for a test I didnt authorize. Only bright spot was the techs they were very nice. The vet was garbage

I read one review where the Vet was going to call the police on a customer because they wouldnt pay the jacked up bill when the customer signed a fixed cost the day before! Wow, if this is how this vet does business I wouldnt trust him with any of my pets.

I was recommended to visit this place from a dear, pet loving friend. It is clean, neat and the staff is wonderful. They were very attentive toward my dogs needs as well as my own. They are very thorough with making sure they have all info about my pets past and asked questions to make sure we were comfortable. The assistant and the doctor were awesome! You can tell they care about animals and their owners. They tell you the pricing up front, which is very reasonable. They even have treats for the animals to make sure they feel at ease, which quells their anxiety. There is plenty of parking and the business is located in a great area. A win all the way around. 5 stars!

Very easy to find and access the vet clinic. The facility is clean beautiful and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The vet dis not try to run up the bill, answered all questions and offered options. A very reasonable rate also.

I live in sugar land and make the drive to see Dr. K, only because I cant imagine a better doctor for my two fur babies. Dr. K definitely acts in the best financial interests of his human customers (he doesnt look for procedures your dog needs like Ive had experience with at other vets) and does whatever he can to make you feel comfortable with your dogs visit and situation. I wish I could give ZERO Stars, this vet is a SCAMMER. I called and asked if they did Blood serum progesterone tests in house, I am a very experienced breeder, my female was staying with someone else at the time and I needed them to take her into a vet that could do an in house progesterone test so that I could find out how far she was along in her heat that day. The receptionist told me yes we do them and in about 1-2 hours youll have your result. My vet does in house progesterone tests and give me their exact number in about the same time frame for $42. This was going to cost me $79.97 but oh well I need to know her number. I told the lady on the phone that the people bringing her in know NOTHING about Breeding and to refer to me with any information or questions. They take her in and do the test. I call back hours later to get the number, they say its approx between a 3-10 um what? Approximately?! I thought that I was going to get an exact number, as I should?? nope 3-10, still tells me absolutely nothing as that is not accurate enough to tell me when to breed or if its too late to breed by time I can get to her.The vet tells me the people who brought her in agreed and understood that if they wanted an exact number they had to send the test off to the lab. NO ONE TOLD ME THIS WHEN I MADE THE APPOINTMENT. And once again the people who brought her in had ZERO idea what he was talking about. I WOULD NOT have made an appointment or gotten the test had I known they would not give me an exact number. The test they did cost $10 to buy and I could have done it at home. ALSO I took her to my vet on Monday (the other test was done on Friday), paid $42 to find out she is in fact only a 1.73, if you know breeding you know that there is no way she was between a 3-10 3 days before if she is a 1.73 today. Their test that I didnt want and they charged me $80 for was WRONG. Not only that, this so called reproductive vet told me that the exact number doesnt really matter um YES it does, IF I had bred her based off of those numbers as the vet said I should. She would NOT have gotten pregnant as it is way to early and she has NOT ovulated yet. He literally would have cost me THOUSANDS of dollars for his inaccurate scam of a test and they REFUSED to refund my $80. Not only was it a test I did not want and would not have asked for if they had told me what it actually was but it was WRONG and they still would not refund me. Obviously I am furious, they are operating a total scam by even offering those tests, the vet should KNOW those tests are not accurate and they only offer them for a quick $80 without even actually caring about what that does for a professional Breeder. Hes running a scam, if youre a breeder save yourself a ton of money and find an actual credible reproductive vet.

Initially I gave one star but decided I have been too harsh. Overall Citi does a decent job and the hours are good. My concerns are mostly focused on some of the diagnoses Ive received over the years. For my cat which began having skin problems I was told its probably a food allergy and they recommended the food they sell. We tried it, it didnt help and eventually the problem just got better.I took our dog in for a skin condition which came on kind of suddenly and was told once again that its a food allergy. Since he has been eating that food for quite a while (we have several we rotate between) I was hesitant to buy an expensive new bag of food from the vet and asked if it could possibly be anything else. I was told it may be either a fungal infection or a bacterial infection and he was prescribed medications for each. The medication did the trick.So what made me upset was that I was going to be sold a an expensive bag of food right off the bat. Once I rejected that I was able to get him medicine which cleared it up. There was no point in trying to sell me the food. Why not just prescribe the medicine and skip that step?The other issue Ive had is that one of our dogs is scared of rain and sometimes must have a mild tranquilizer during storms due to extreme anxiety. We got notice that bad storms would be blowing through that night and realized we had none. My wife called and asked if they could prescribe additional pills for pickup, and they said yes. A while later when she went to pick them up they said they would not prescribe because they wanted to do an exam first. This was at business close on the evening we were going to be needing them. Its an extremely mild sedative and she had been taking it for years prior. She asked if they could just prescribe one for the night and we could get her in for an exam the next day and she was told no. This could have been handled if someone had just called earlier.Eventually she was able to convince them to give me a few minutes to stop working and take the dog up there. I just happened to be home and we only live a few minutes away. They did the exam and we got the medicine but it took way more fighting than it should if youre concerned about the extreme anxiety the dog would suffer that night.We dont use them for this medication anymore due to that incident.Other than my suspicions on food allergy as a generic answer and the tranquilizer incident they have done a decent job and they are very convenient. Staff was polite and seem to care. Just ask questions before you buy the food.

Citi animal hospital is by far the cleanest, most professional and well-staffed animal hospital I have ever seen or heard of. The veterinarian at Citi Animal Hospital is all focused, up to date on the latest technologies and clearly loves what they do. Dr K spent lots of time with my dog Coco, was very thorough with his examination, asked me lots of questions and gave me lots of options for treating his variety of issues.

Very meaningful experience. The doctor and the team are very attentive, caring and compassionate.The hospital is clean with all the necessary infrastructure and the competitively priced. The doctor is well experienced and easy to deal with.I would go back again and will be happy to recommend this clinic to anybody.

I have been bringing my two cats to Dr. Koothan for several years now. I love that they are open 6 days a week, including Saturday and Sunday. They generally do a great job, and the prices are very competitive. I have read thank you cards inside that thank the vet for opening outside of business hours for emergencies. Prices are competitive. Desk staff seems to have quite a bit of turnover, though.

I took my baby there , since I didnt run up a series of tests that would have been very costly , I was given very little attention for him, I had to ask the vet or more like suggest what prescription he should have after we left since I felt more could have been done and I thought on my own what I could do to make him feel less anxious soo I had to call after we left , i feel he could have been more supportive but I guess it was all about how much I was running up bill I was going take him back to have tests run he suggested but my gut feeling was telling me this wasnt the best place , I took my baby to another vet that was recommended, much less costly but the compassion attention and concern was at a much higher quality, they recommended what I should do and prescribed what he needed and should have been given since day 1 , Im sorry but I cant recommend this place, Im sorry for staff because they were more helpful than vet

It was a nice place and the techs were nice but the vet was scared with my dog. She was already nervous cause it was her first vet visit and then he made her more nervous. Other then that it was a great place I just want my vet to make my pup feel comfortable not scared.

My pet was brought into an exam room within minutes of walking through the door. The vets were friendly and helpful and didnt mind having to stay late to give my dog stitches.

Not a good place at all. I called and told them my dog had a ear infection can I use the free coupon visit and was told yes. When I checked out I was told no cause my dog was not healthy. And Dr K didnt even exam my dog just walked in shook my hand and said your dog has an ear infection that will never get better because she is old and its humid here. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone else. If anything will suggest not to go there. The staff was nice and helpful but the Dr didnt seem to care at all. This is the first time my dog was there so they had no records of our dog so he should have done a checkup but he never touched her or talked to her. Any vet I have been to the doctor has always done an exam even if the assistant did one to verify what they thought. Not at this place.

These people are absolutely awful. Took my sick pet there in an emergency and was made to wait more than an hour after my appointment time. After bringing them the sample needed later they shoved us out of the door and refused to see our pet or provide medicines. I would recommend anyone to go elsewhere, this place cares nothing for your pets well being or your time for that matter.

My puppy was 6 weeks when I took him in for his first shots. He got his shots and was given medication for worms. The doctor and the techs were very nice and friendly. Fast forward 2 weeks later, puppy got sick and took him in on same day of his appointment for his second set of shots. Puppy had an infection caused by the worms that should have been treated. Was given medication for the worms again and medication for his infection. When the tech gave me the medicine I told her I thought that didnt look like enough medicine for a 7 day supply of .6cc every 12 hours but she promised me it was. I accepted, paid $250 and left with my puppy. As predicted called today as medication ran out and he still has 3 more days to go. Per doc, I will have to pay if he needs more. Why would I have to pay again for something I already paid for. You either cheated me of the medicine or gave me the wrong dose. I feel very cheated, I feel somehow they want to keep me coming back with a sick puppy to get more money out of me. Its been a month and I dont understand why we are still having a worm issue. I WILL not return to this place ever!
