Dr Vu is an excellent dermatologist. She has successfully treated me time and again. I would recommend her over any other dermatologist I have ever seen.

My son has been going to this office for the past few years. Dr. Vu is an excellent doctor!! Unlike many doctors she actually takes her time with you, answering any questions you may have, and makes you feel that she genuinely cares about her patients. I highly recommend her!!

I swear by Dr Vu. She really knows her stuff. Very knowledgeable and very thorough. My sons been seeing her off and on for various stuff for a few years now and We’re very thankful for her and the staffs help.

I left a review back in 2019 that I was just asked to delete after having a very negative experience with this doctors very rude staff back in 2019. I need a mole looked at so I decided to go back and give them another try. The receptionist told me she saw my negative review and would not book my appointment unless I removed it.Seriously?? How about not be rude in the first place that gets you bad reviews.No thanks. I am leaving a new negative review, and finding a new doctor. What a shame....I feel Dr. Vu is good, but her staff is driving patients away. I was also going to book an additional procedure but that will now go to another doctor.

Not sure why all the negativity but my husband was seen this week and we have nothing but good things to say! Dr Vu prescribed him some cream for his eczema and he is already looking and feeling better. Thank you Dr. Vu.

Dr. Vu is an excellent physician. She takes her time and thoroughly explains everything. Her staff is very friendly and efficient.

UPDATE: I received a letter asking me and my immediate family NOT to return to this office.(Obviously, not that I planned too) I guess because I posted a negative review....hmmm I see a pattern here with the most recent review that was posted. If you havent read it do yourself a favor and do that. It also seems, all negative reviews have a response from the owner with some sort of number possibly that references this letter being distributed. What a joke.DO NOT GO HERE OR TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. I usually dont even write reviews but this office and dr are HORRIBLE. She was extremely rude to me about taking my kids in the office and made several comments about them using their inside voices and being too distracting. She didnt want to take a biopsy of my daughters mole because of my other kids. NOT HAPPY there were so many rude and uncomforble things here I could go on and on

Even though I don’t live in Friendswood anymore, I come back for Dr. Vu because she is extremely honest about cosmetic procedures. When I’ve come to her ready to spend thousands on cosmetic procedures I’ve read about, she’ll tell me she can do them but she doesn’t think I need them and they won’t be worth my time and money. She follows the science and does what’s been proven to work.So I get my mole check, a little Botox around my eyes, and a prescription for Retin-A. I’ll come back every year and ask the same question, approaching my mid 40s I expect her opinion to change eventually, and when it does I’ll know I can trust it’s time.She seems to have a strong medical base at her practice, so I suspect she’s not as motivated as a dermatologist with a mostly cosmetic based business, to suggest unnecessary procedures.

I have spoke to the girl who answers phone twice now and she is extremely rude and not helpful.

Very friendly people, quite and comforting atmosphere. The doctor is really kind and helpful on diagnosing your problem and is precise in knowing your solution would be.

First, I really did appreciate the doctor, so I regret having to leave a negative review.However, others should be warned...This office does not respect your time. I brought a happy, well fed baby to the office 15 minutes before her appointment time. An hour later, I had a cranky, tired, hungry baby. I had showed her every flower on every painting, emptied my purse for amusement twice, played 15 rounds of peekaboo, and 20 rounds of this little piggy before called back.How can you wait over an hour for a scheduled appointment? Thats just not right. I understand that a doctors time is valuable... But that does not automatically mean that the clients time has no value.I called again today, willing to give them a 2nd chance. I was polite as I explained my prior experience and asked If they could schedule me at a time I was not likely to wait an hour. Her responseMaam Im sorry but I cant tell you how long youll have to wait.I replied You are saying you can not assure me that I will not have to wait an hour again?She repeated Maam I cant tell you how long youll have to wait.In looking at their reviews, as a client and as a co owner of a doctors office...I highly suggest they make reduced wait times a priority. Let me know when youve got wait times down to critiquing one flower painting, one purse scavenger hunt, 2 peekaboos, 1 little piggy...And Ill bring the next kid in.Thank you.Sarah

I have been a patient of Dr. Vu for a few years now, and have been very satisfied with all manners of her operation. So much so, that upon my high recommendations, several of my relatives are now patients of hers as well. Dr. Vu detected a cancerous growth on my face only days after another Dermatologist had completely missed it. I am grateful!

I had a large raised brown area on my nose. It was becoming very noticeable.Dr. Vu diagnosed it as seborrheic keratosis, a common non-cancerous skin growth that is actually on top of normal skin. She used liquid nitrogen to freeze the growth, No anesthetic was used and it was only slightly stinging, not really painful. The growth turned into a large black scab and fell off within 7 days. My skin returned to normal in around two weeks after a slight reddening disappeared. Dr. Vu is very professional and their facility is ultra clean. Highly recommend her!

Should have read reviews- made an appointment time and showed up- front desk said I wasn’t in the system. I checked my call logs and yep- I had the time and date of when I called their office to make the appointment. What a waste of time since I had to find childcare and had set another dr appt for the same day. All the girl at front could say was - you’re not in the system so to repeatedly make it as though I was at fault...beware...double check before you arrive. 🤨

Love Dr. Vu! She is very thorough, knowledgeable, and always try’s to help with prescriptions being reasonably priced based off your insurance.

Dr. addressed all concerns and provided an educational experience, which helped to dispel information provided by online searches.

There was construction on the road blocking their entrance that made me 12 minutes late. The looks that I got by the receptionist and the snobby stuck up attitude was very unprofessional and uncalled for. I was told I would have to wait which I agreed and was willing to pay and fill out all new patient paperwork while I waited but she went in the back, came out and said I’d have to reschedule. I just walked out because I don’t have to deal with their crummy attitudes. Had I read the reviews ahead of time I would have gone elsewhere. If you read this you should too.

Love Dr. Vu! Takes time to make sure youre skin is healthy! Staff is very nice, and the front office staff is great! Appointments are timely and efficient.

I have never written a negative review but here it goes. I was told over the phone that my consult fee would be 80 dollars and was charged 104. I decided to go with the small procedure since usually your consult fee goes toward the procedure (here it does not). I was told in the office that the procedure would be 350.00 since my deductible was not met. I showed up and was told over 500 then it was corrected to 480. I explained that I was told 350. I was told it is because of your insurance, since when does insurance judge the price of a procedure. I was already not feeling comfortable here. Needless to say I am going somewhere else . If you go here be prepared to bring extra money.

The front desk person receptionist is very rudenot professional. She forgot that I had appointmentAnd not put it in the system. It wasting my time andDays that I had to waited. I showed her my text message appointment and she said it is not in theSystem. Very rude person and slamming her glass door on me.

Rude staff , staff manager, never send prescriptions to pharmacy, I had to end up going to emergency because these staff seat around Facebook or on there phone.staff manager just told me he would take my money because they need it. If you have skin problem go see a professional.

I normally wait to review until I go for more than one appointment, but as i was going for my 5 year skin check, it would probably take 15 years before i could review.I like Dr Vu. She did a very thorough skin check and was very nice and personable throughout. I got an appointment within a few days and did not have to wait in the office very long. The front desk people were just fine.I read some of the negative reviews (As I do whenever I review any business) and found that a lot of people dont understand insurance at all and they blame the Dr. for things that are out of both the patients and Drs control. Some are apparently not insured and others have junky insurance, which isnt the Drs fault.OK, Ive now seen Dr Vu sevral more times and she is really great. Highly recommended!

Prior to my two year experience with Dr. Vu, I had a fourteen year relationship with my first dermatologist and a twelve year relationship with my second. After two years with Dr. Vu, I’m leaving. I found the office staff borderline tolerable, and while Dr. Vu was reasonably competent, I did feel she was overly aggressive with requiring a follow up visit, resulting in an additional copay and insurance billing. Why I finally left was due to a forty-five minute wait time and the staff’s inability or unwillingness to tell me how much longer my wait would be. I walked out on my last appointment.

Dont even bother coming here because the dermatologist clearly malpractices. I came here because I was concerned about a small itchy red bump on my neck which I thought was ringworm from my new cats, but wasnt sure. I figured a dermatologist, a doctor who specializes in skin, would be the most knowledgeable about something like this, but wow was I wrong. I even told her right from the beginning that I thought it was ringworm. She took a skin sample and I dont think she even checked it before prescribing me medicinal cream for eczema. At the time, I thought the cream was for ringworm, but figured out that it was for eczema after 1 use because it made the ringworm 10 times worse. I called the next day immediately saying that it got worse and she said to just use it for a few more days before going back in. I trusted and waited one more day, but after that I couldnt wait anymore because the itchiness actually turned into pain and didnt even allow me to sleep. When I went back in, it was so obvious that it had gotten so much worse just by the looks from their faces. She actually wanted to do a biopsy on me, but thank god I put my foot down and told her to take another skin sample. She made me wait half an hour while she treated another patient even though all she had to do was look at the skin sample through a microscope and send me on my way. Im still extremely angry about this experience since they didnt refund me the amount I spent on the medicinal cream for eczema nor the fees they charged me for the visits, not to mention that it was the week of my birthday. They actually sent me a letter a couple months later charging me another 200 dollars for no reason. You have been warned, do not bring your skin issues here. Find a better dermatologist.

I just saw Dr. Vu today as a new patient and had a wonderful experience.I showed up five minutes prior to my scheduled appointment with my paperwork that I’d printed from the website already filled out. That was convenient.I waited only five minutes before being taken to an office. After answering the assistant’s questions I was seen by Dr. Vu just moments later.She thoroughly explained my options to me (I was there to have a cyst looked at) and asked me how I would like to proceed. I told her I’d like to have it removed and to my surprise she said we can do it now. Just moments later she performed the procedure. It was fast, easy, and I felt no pain.I’m very impressed with Dr. Vu. In addition to finding her to be very professional I found her to be quite personable and pleasant to be around as well.She treated me like a person, not just a patient. I’d recommend this doctor to anybody.

PSA : DON’T come here unless you’re trying to blow money like it grows on trees or falls from the sky.Didn’t get what I needed done properly the first time and then they tried to charge me all over again JUST so the doctor can look at something that she was suppose to get done correctly the first time. They were RUDE and I will never understand why I would have to pay all over again for something the doctor messed up on.Sounds like such a scam to me . Now I know where they make all the profit; by doing things wrong and then charging the patient to come in for ANOTHER doctors visit on top of MORE procedure fees/biopsy/etc again and again when I wouldn’t need to come in again at all if she would’ve done her job right as a doctor in the first place.This is why some people have trust issues. Disappointment and frustration in situations like this.

Not a fan at all. Went in for my son’s eczema. She told me to do all of the things I already do to help his skin. Prescribed my 2 year old anti anxiety drugs after me asking her NOT to! & prescribed another topical med that I told her not to prescribe since he had been on it in the past

12-5-15; First thing, if they dont give me my money back, I am going to every site I can, and tell the truth about the bad service I received, including BBB and state,I was told on the phone they could take care of my issue, then I get there and pay $135 up front, and she tells me , these bugs on me are in my head and bugs are good, everyone has bugs in and on them , part of that is true , but I have some type of parasite on me, possible mites , I dont know, I said when I was walking out I wasted my money coming here today since they told me they could help me and did not, I think they should give me my money back,DONT BELEIVE all the good posts they can pay a company to post good reviews, she is the type of Dr, that says what do you want me to do I pay to go to the Dr, for them to tell me what I need to do. !!! I hope some of these bugs fell off while I was in the waiting room or one of the rooms while I was waiting for her. And get on her, Then maybe they will believe me, if they give me my money back, then I hope they didnt fall off,

Struggling with acne for so long and the insecurities that come along with it, when I first decided to come to Dr. Vu I was at my wits end and was praying for a solution. Since being a regular patient here my skin has never been in better shape. I owe it all to Dr. Vu and her recommendations and plan of action that shes tailored specifically for me and my unique skin type.I am still going here and recommend to everyone, such great customer service and hands on care. my skin was said to have to really see results at least after 9 months of treatments and its my 4th as of right now and my skin is flawless and very healthy.

Would give this office 0 stars if possible... I went in to have some redness around my eye and cheek checked out and the doctor could care less. Dr. Vu named 3 different things that the redness COULD be caused from but did not look further into it or ask any questions to try and find out what it was caused from. She then went on to ask what else I was here for....completely disregarding the ONLY thing I made an appointment for... She talked to me as a patient, not as a human being which really bothered me. She seemed like a robot and I felt like I was being judged for not having a perfect skin care routine. Do not go here if you are wanting some real help! I paid around $100 to practically get told to buzz off.

I highly recommend Dr. Vu. We have seen her for basic things ... warts, poison ivy, etc. She is thorough and explains what the treatment is.

Had an issue for over 10 years. Tried everything. Dr.Vu treated and is clearing up finally. She took the time to talk to me and answer questions.
