Dr. Greg Simpson(our dermatologist) is the best doctor around. He is professional, courteous, level headed and friendly and sincerely wants to help people in general. Very thorough and an eagle eye. The staff is also better than anybody else. Thank You, Mark and Robin the Hawaiian.

Came for a visit last week had a great experience with staff and Sheila Mayo. I called back with questions about my medication spoke to medicine coordinator Irene and she was so nice and informative answered all my questions thank you dermatology associates.

Dr Dehesa is the best and so nice. He really takes the time to listen to your concerns and provides the best options for you.

Just the worst. Do not let Luis Dehesa cut you . You will be scarred for life. Very small cyst on my face resulted in a one inch scar. Small ones on my back. Two inch scars. While taking Accutane the drug Raises your Triglycerides. Instead of giving me medication that would cut down. They reduced the dosage that would have kept on it for over a year. More MONEY,MORE MONEY.

I went in a little over a week ago with my son Dallas and had an overall great experience. They called me in before my appointment time and the staff and doctor were amazing with my son who’s normally terrified of doctors. They also seemed to follow all CDC guidelines regarding Covid.

We recently moved to Visalia from NYC. We needed a pediatric Dermatologist but couldnt find one in our area so we searched Fresno and found this place. From the first phone call to the end of our virtual appointment. We received top notch quality care!. My daughter had a rash that flared up and the team was amazing! They got us in asap and from the receptionist to the coordinator to the office manager to the medical staff, they were all extremely competent, professional and accommodating! Dr. Dehesa was great at explaining and diagnosing my daughters skin irritation. We received our medications within the hour. We are happy to have found this gem and have already scheduled our follow up appointment. Thank you University Derm!

Made a rough experience smooth

My wife had asked Dr. Dehesa about the lines in-between her eyebrows he said botox would take care of it. She asks how much he said shed need 30 units at $12.00 each unit he quoted her $300. she was very excited so went ahead and had it done.Upon check out she was told its $360.00 She questioned it because Dr said $300. My wife did not fuss about the extra $60 she went ahead and paid it. (insurance does not pay for it)12 units at $12each. Obviously 12x30 does not equal $300. my wife did not question it while she was in the chair, she was excited to have it done. Dr. said shed see a huge difference in 4-5 days.6 days later no results. She called the Dr. office and said she did not see any difference. Upon speaking with one of the staff ( i will not mention names but the staff said they dont give free botox) i was not asking for anything for free. I had already paid for it. Then she spoke with the office manager. The OM said maybe i need more that i could go in and have Dr. look to see if maybe she needed more. She was not told maybe shed need more, she was told by the Dr that she would see results.Shes very unhappy with the lack of math from the Dr. and from the receptionist telling her they dont give free botox. All she wanted was to see results. Her advice to anyone going for botox who gets a quote for you to do your own math and be cautious because you might not get the results they say you will get. This is my wife first time ever give a negative comment but shes very unhappy over the outcome of the botox and the conversation with the office staff

I called this place over 2 weeks ago, requesting for an appointment. One of the employees took my name, address, phone number and insurance information. That same employee was supposed to mail me, a form to sign to release my health information.I was told the appointment scheduler, would call me to schedule an appointment. No one has called me or sent the paperwork. I have called and no one answers the phone. This place is horrible. I have 100% coverage through my health insurance, to get treatment here. I do not know what the issue is. I plan to contact a manager soon.

It was my first visit. Filled out the paper work and was called to the back. They came right in to talk to me. They are all very nice and helpful. Also good at explaining my problem to me. Had a very thorough skin check. I will be going back as needed.

I have monthly standing orders for my blood to be drawn whenever the medication I am prescribed gets an increase in dosage. But for whatever reason this time, the morning after my 12-hour fast, the lady at the counter told me they never recieved a standing order for my blood to be drawn, and she said she felt bad that I already fasted and came all this way, so she went ahead and let me get my blood drawn and requested a new standing order from upstairs.The very next day I get a call saying my blood work is no longer good because its only good for so many hours and the new standing order just got in... so I have to go back and get my blood drawn again. This never would have happened if they had just put in the order.75% of the time the assistant(s) forget to sign off on the highly regulated medication I get prescribed, so when I go to pick it up from the pharmacy, they tell me that I need to call the doctors office and have them sign off on it; this happens quite often.

I have had nothing but excellent service and a positive experience while being cared for at University Dermatology Associates. The office staff is friendly and makes a point to make you feel at home. I had an unfortunate issue with my insurance and the office manager, Marissa, made a point to take my problem into her own hands while keeping me up to date on the process. She made sure to go above and beyond until she found a solution for me. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a professional, knowledgable, and friendly staff. You will not be disappointed!!!

There is a thief among the staff. Be very careful when paying cash and keep your receipts.Ive been coming here for over 6 months now, and I always have cash or card on me for my co-payment. But someone in the front desk or appointment area stole my co-payment for the month of June. I ALWAYS pay during my visit and NEVER walk out without doing so.I am a business owner and have very good insurance, my co-payment amount is extremely low, but thats besides the point; SOMEONE in that office is stealing patients co-payment money and then sending out a letter requesting for payment that theyve already paid for at the front desk!

I have had a great experience here. They are very thorough when doing examinations. They are efficient with time and do not leave you waiting. Great experience overall. Would recommend.

I grew up on the beach in the Ventura area, where I lived for sunny days, surfing, swimming and fun. Baby oil slathered over my skin helped turn my fair skin to a warm summertime tan. I loved it - and am now paying the price many decades later. I am fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Luis Dehesa at University Dermatology Associates. During my first appointment sun-damaged areas of concern were frozen or biopsy performed. In less that a week I was informed of skin cancer that needed immediate attention and would be removed using Mohs surgery. Dr. Dehesa and his team were calming, professional, caring and thorough. They made the process one of interest rather than fear and without pain. Dr. Dehesa leads a team of professionals, and each has a role that is performed by each with confidence. I will be followed by Dr. Dehesa and his team, and in spite of decades of sun damage, I am confident any future problems will be handled with skill and compassion. And . . . even a little fun!

Dr. Dehesa is amazing he really listens I didn’t feel rushed or like an inconvenient . He listened to everything I had to say and even numerous questions I had. I’ve asked for a specific treatment that other doctors didn’t want to try but Dr. Dehesa did and It worked amazing so much relief. Thank you so much for just caring and listening it goes a really long way.

I have a bad experience with this dermatology. They diagnosed with with antibiotic which I didn’t come for. They gave me minocycline which I didn’t know it was similar to the same medication as doxycycline. I wrote down all of my information of what medications shouldn’t be taken. It’s been 9 month and I have GERD acid reflux due to the medication they gave me. I am not happy about it because they change my life and I probably won’t ever be the same again. I was healthy & now I’m not healthy anymore. I’m not satisfied nor happy. I want to sue.

Overall - Great staff and very clean office. NP Silvia was very thorough and completed the procedure in few minutes. Bedside skill is excellent. 5 stars.

Trying to speak with appointments on the phone is a nightmare. I was on hold for 35 mins and the position on the queue did not change . Hell I was on hold in queue for the 1st spot for 15 mins. And thats after the phone rang for 2 minutes .Then they put me on hold . Completely unprofessional having to wait so long on hold, with no one helping the callers since my position in queue never changed.

Love coming here the Dr is great the girl are nice they greet you when you come in
