I dont ever write a review but Ive been so impressed that I actually had to. Been to this place a few times and every time Ive gone there theyve been great! They have a huge selection of glasses too choose from. I brought my 6 yo son to pick out a pair too and was surprised by how big the variety was compared to other places Ive been to and the prices here are very fair. The optometrist who helped me out and was very nice was Rick. Thank you and everyone there at eye glass world for a great experience.

Great service. Eyeglass world went above and beyond to make me happy. They do this mirror thing on clear glasses that is transparent and for me it makes night driving better. The manager Christian worked with me and made everything right. Fresno Eyeglsss world is my go too for glssses...totally recommend

I had one of the “best” customer experiences ever at the Eye Glass World located in Fresno at Shaw & Blackstone Avenues. A young beautiful lady named Sianne. She is the epitome of how a true professional should conduct themselves. I even suggested to her higher ups that she should train ALL of the associates at Eye Glass World at every level. Dont waste your time going here. Take your hard earned money and go somewhere where they value customer service and do what they say by getting the glasses done the same day. This place is scandalous and just as bad as Stanton down the street.

I came in for a recheck for my contacts and they sat me in the optometrist office the lady at the desk didn’t even acknowledge me. I was on time for my appointment and they took several people that showed up after me. The lady was rude when I asked when I would be seen. She stated the Dr was running in time. If you have all day to waste and enjoy being around rude people who are not friendly and offer no help this is the place to go. I waited for a hour to be seen for a min and have to come back in two weeks 🤦‍♀️

GREAT customer service!!! Today I went to eyeglass world in fresno ca on 20 W Shaw Ave Fresno ca 93704, I was helped by Brad and I just want to say he was AWESOME! I received GREAT costumer service from him, ALL my questions and concerns were answered. Brad went beyond on what hes able to help with and he gave me an AWESOME deal on my 2 prescription pair of glasses (1 pair is sunglasses and the other one regular prescription glasses). I need to express how unprofessional this Albert Yao is. Any professional should be able to attend all of their patients no matter what age, race, ethnicity, gender or disability. They should be flexible at what they do. My aunt took my cousin to this clinic and they had her waiting for a long time, when they finally called them he said he couldnt help her because of my cousin disability. If that was the case he shouldnt have had them waiting there as long as they did. Before leaving he still has the nerve to ask that they return with her prescription in hand and then he will help. 😒😡 are you serious!!The only reason I gave 1 star was because I had to. Not because they earned it.

When I made my appointment I made it clear that I didn’t have a lot of extra time and I was told an hour would be plenty for the exam and selecting glasses.The exam was fast and the Dr was nice. However afterward I waited over 40 minutes before I had to ask someone if I could pay because there not enough time anymore to work with a sales representative since so much was wasted. When paying I expressed my disappointment and that it made me angry. The person who was my cashier was very indifferent and when I inquired about no one caring if I was upset or not, she said she just finished vomiting in the back and it was hard for her to care.This was extremely unprofessional. I was very offended by the situation. I had to leave without getting glasses because they weren’t interested in my business.I don’t recommend this place. They don’t care about their customers.

A waste of time, I made an appointment online , received a email appointment reminder even for a text as hosing me there was a sooner appointment if I wanted it. I go into my appointment date and time to be told because I supposedly did not answer call confirmation my appointment was cancelled. They tried calling my cell phone and got busy signal which don’t know how that happens oh but I could wait for another 15 minutes to see if the next appointment comes in or not. What kind of customer service is this? Happy to take my Money somewhere else.

Good place to get your glasses. A professional named Riley is hands down top shelf at customer service! Eyeglass world on shaw in fresno. He helped me out with my lenses on my ray bans.

They do not stand behind their work. I purchased new lenses for RayBans that I had purchased from them two years ago. They made the lenses too large and the frames cracked a month later. When I went to get the issue resolved they said I would need to buy new frames because they could only cover the frames for one year even though it was their mistake by making the lenses is too large.

I definitely recommend coming here. Compared to other places I’ve been to, the customer service is amazing. Everyone is extremely helpful and attentive to my questions. There is always someone asking if they can help which makes the experience fast and easy. James was polite , professional and made me glad I bought my new pair of glasses at Eyeglass World. I have been using Eyeglass World for all my vision care needs since 2001. They are truly committed to providing excellent care to each and every customer. The optometrist is willing to take her time and provided explanations regarding the details of my prescription and my eye disorder. The optician was very professional and made sure to provide just the right fit for my rather unusual prescription. I fully recommend Eyeglass World for quality and service.

I had an appointment today at 5:15 with Dr. Yao. Dr Yao helped with my blurry vision and Tina my rep helped me with a smooth experience. She was very nice and friendly. I definitely recommend to see Tina for any of your service here.

Great service, and I saved a lot of money. What I love about Eyeglass World is how affordable they are. I used to go get my glasses at Kaiser, but left when I got sick and tired of their extremely high prices. Even if you dont have insurance you save a TON of money. For an eye exam and two pairs of glasses I only had to pay $68 using my insurance, and without insurance, I would have only had to pay $250. Still a great deal, Im so happy I get to have two pairs of glasses. My one downside: place is really busy so wait time is long.

There was a female employee who’s name started with an M that was not wearing a mask and sitting on top of the work desk chatting with an employee and they were not even close to practicing social distancing. Everyone was available to answer questions and extremely helpful and friendly.I was able to take my seeing glasses on the same day. The 2nd pair for which I chose transition lenses is going to take 1-2 weeks to arrive. I would have really appreciated having both glasses on the same day. Considering that we are in a pandemic I think this is ok.

Please update web hours, went on Sunday after 12 to locked doors and no answer.

Very disappointed. I was recommended by my eye doctor to come here to fill my prescription. Very wrong. At first all seemed to be going well, then when I received my glasses they were wrong, had to be shipped out took 2 1/2 weeks to receive them I call in asking for an update. They couldn’t find any record of my glasses, then finally found them and said they have been shipped will arrive in two days, two days later I call in, a young female answers and explains she “got info” that there was a manufacturer error and would take another week then calls me the SAME day to say they’re ready. She sounded so lost on the phone. I go in and yet again WRONG. I tell the guy helping me they are wrong, do not feel right. He starts cussing F this F that. SUPER unprofessional. Tells me oh well nothing we can do to further assist you, take them for the day if not bring them back. Exactly as I did, brought them back. Got my refund. Atleast that went well.

This place probably has the best customer service out of anywhere in Fresno, and that includes places that dont even sell glasses. They know what they are doing, and theyre so accommodating and friendly. Im very sensitive with my vision, and they were very patient with me and made sure that everything was perfect. This place is the place to get your lenses/glasses, I wouldnt go anywhere else.

The young man who helped me when I picked out my glasses was very helpful. The pick up not so much because she just handed me the glasses and that was it.

Made getting glasses SOOOO easy. Went to like 4 different eye doctors and none of them were as friendly, as helpful, as clean and quick as they were. I was amazed at their customer service. Felt at ease the entire time. They were very patient while I took my time to choose which glasses I wanted. They informed me how much my insurance covered and how much I would pay out of pocket to help me decide. The eye exam was quick but not rushed also. Their prices out beat the rest of the eye doctors also. I paid absolutely nothing because of my insurance. HIGHLY recommend.

Poor business practice, the people they hired fail to check proper identification and gave my glasses to someone else with the same name. Im being ask to wait another 2 weeks for a re-order. I shouldve asked for full refund and go to a different provider. This is my 1st and last with this provider.... PHI violation!

We had a pair of glasses break right down the middle and needed a new pair fast. I called from home around 3pm asking If they accepted walk in appointments and they said yes.By 4pm we were being seen by a doctor and by 5pm 2 pairs of new glasses were ready to be picked up, all for about $150 (no insurance).For everyone else who has had to deal with long appointment times and even longer waits for your lenses to be made, you know how terrible going to get new glasses can be. My experience here was fantastic and I am so grateful I went here instead of the other places nearby for fast friendly service.

Very friendly staff. I have my glasses repaired many times without a problem. I recommend an appointment to see the eye doctor. He is good and the eye doctor office has been full every time I have gone to see him. Been going there since before 2005. They also have a good selection of glass frames.

Garbage company I scheduled an appointment weeks in advance 2 days before they sent me a text asking to confirm 2 hours later I get a voicemail saying the doctor won’t be staying that late so to reschedule or cancel. So unprofessional why schedule someone if there won’t be a doctor. Especially irritated because I took that time off of work to be there.

My boyfriend and I called to schedule an appointment on Tuesday at 5:15pm. The receptionist thought maybe my appointment was in another office, because she said sometimes the doctors are not located in the store. They asked what number I called, but I didnt have one because when I called the Eyeglass World location they transferred me. They said my name was not coming up on their computer for an appointment, but they would squeeze me in anyways. Dr. Yao performed my eye exam and gave me my new prescription. I picked two pairs of glasses for $78. They told me my glasses would arrive on Thursday for pick up. Later, my boyfriend checked his recording system on his phone and looked up the phone call. The lady said my eye exam would be inside Eyeglass World and not at another location. She also said in the recorded phone call that it was scheduled for Tuesday at 5:15pm. I dont know if they just forgot to schedule it or if they have computer issues, but something needs to be resolved... Other than that, I am happy with my eye exam and eye glasses that I purchased and cant wait to pick them up.

Had an appointment and was late, was offered to wait and see if later appointments missed and they could put me in instead, wasn’t able to get in after all which was fine. What was annoying was the fact that they pulled authorization from my insurance which delayed me while trying to get my exam elsewhere. If they knew I couldn’t be seen that should have never been done or if it was the authorization should have been voided when they seen me leave, not make me to have them so I could use my own insurance

I came here in a rush, Thursday evening about an hour and a half before closing. They were very very nice, incredibly helpful and even rushed my glasses because I needed them asap! Well turns out, Stanton Optical actually got prescription wrong! So I went back to Eyeglass world the next day. They got me in as a walk in, discounted my exam, and had my glasses done within an hour! Amazing staff! Great selection of glasses! I will definitely come back!

Other then almost paying 300$ they promised my 2 pairs of glasses will be done the very next day... Sadly after a 2 hour trip there and back they gave me another dateThey gave me an improper test.

I have always had the very best help, and quality glasses and sun glasses made here. They have the best coupons, and offer the best repair service around. Thats why I have been a customer for over a decade, even now when I have moved away!

2 different things I wanna say about this store.#1. Ive been there multiple times and have never bought. I like going in to browse so I can see what their new stock is. Every single time Ive gone Brian takes care of me. Hes given me multiple quotes and has been great with his customer service. I know Ive been a pain to work with but hes pretty much the only person Id consider working with there.#2. Theres this associate named Jerry or James or something who just sits in the back and looks at his phone and or book. I spoke to him a few times and he is rude. Hes also not in a white coat so I couldnt even tell if he was an employee or not. Ive been there when its busy and I noticed him just sitting there not doing anything. No answering phone calls, or helping out with anything while all the other associates are running around doing a lot. When he does get up I just hear him shouting commands to other associates. If hes the boss then I dont know what this company is thinking. This is the reason Ive giving it a 1 star review.Brian is a great associate who Ive seen run around doing everything. Hes always being called to help out with something and Ive actually even seen him working in the doctors office. He should get a raise and or a promotion. Id recruit him to work for me if I could! This company should appreciate employees like him while they could before they lose him.

The consultants were all really nice and helped us out. The collection is huge and its buy one get one free for designer glasses(you pay for the more expensive one). We were low on cash so they helped hook us up with a credit card for medical expenses that we can pay off in 2 years, no interest.

Worst customer service ever!!! Do not use them. I order my contacts and asked for a specific color, even told them several times over the phone I wanted to switch the color they even repeated the new color back to me. They call me back to confirm the amount of contacts I was purchasing, I again reminded them I am switching the color. Close to the end of the phone call they ask if I was going to pay over the phone, I asked if I can pay when I pick up. Someone else gets on the phone with an attitude saying they couldnt order without payment. I paid no problem, I go to pick them up, lady at the front desk, not friendly at all. Someone else comes to help me, they bring my new contacts out, and they are the wrong color. The unfriendly lady then steps in with her bad attitude saying she personally confirmed that order, and it was correct. I try to tell her several times my side and she was just to overbearing. She said I was stuck with them and the only way I can get what I ordered was to purchase more. Absolutely the worst customer service ever, I left there feeling disrespected, angry and embarrassed. I have been using this place for about 5 years, I have had issues with this same individual a few times in the past being rude but this was by far the worst experience. It bothers me the most that she couldnt even apologize for it, or even admit that she made a mistake. She basically said shes right and Im wrong and there is nothing anyone is going to do about it. Its upsetting that I had to pay over $80 for her mistake, and keep something Im unhappy with, that I didnt even order. its also upsetting how she can talk down, and raise her voice at a costumer/patient in a waiting room full of people.

Well after choosing all the stuff and ordering everything and told them we would be in to pay later which they said was fine they called and said if you dont pay right now we are putting everything back...no amount of dialog seemed to fit. The management there is BAD! I had referred a friend there and now I am said. Save your money and go to some place with integrity and good selection. THEY SUCK! -star!

I went there to get a prescription and had a pretty bad experience. When I reminded the doctor that 5 years prior he tried to fit me with hard contacts, he said he didnt have it in his records.I have a rare eye condition, so I know who Ive seen. Id only ever seen two doctors for my eyes, and he was one of them. In both instances both doctors tried to fit me with hard contacts and neither could. Its not that hard to remember something like that.So please believe me when I say that I mentioned only in passing about the contacts. If he didnt have it in his notes it wouldnt have mattered to me. But no, he had to turn it into an argument and INSIST he was right. He tried to turn the tables on me and say I was being combative.Then later in the visit I asked if medication I was on had any effect on my vision. He was still upset about the whole contact thing and acted very bothered as if I was asking a stupid question.I had such a horrible experience Im not going back there ever again. He did what doctors often do, when they dont have their facts straight they turn around and blame it on the patient.

Everyone there was incredibly helpful (on a Saturday) and I was able to get everything I wanted.

Two years in a row taking my glasses from the store plus recommended it for three of my friends. Great costumer service; however, the eye clinic front desk service werent as good, they had lost my old eye exam and had to do it again but no charge.

I have given a separate review for Dr. Yaos office due to his exceptionally rude receptionist Martha.. This review is not for Dr. Yaos office though but for the store.. Christina the young lady who helped me with my glasses is a shining star. Her mannerisms exude grace and charm and a genuine desire to give excellent customer service. I was very pleased with her. She went out of her way to help me not just pick a great pair of glasses but helped me to find the best deal for me incorporating my insurance. Rude staff, we almost felt like we were bothering them. Said no walk ins however a sign stated otherwise. We mentioned the sign the gal rudely said well then we can only see 1 out if the 3 of you and its going to be a while and the doctor needs his lunch still. No eye contact which I cant stand. Location is Shaw and blackstone in fresno..

So i have purchased an eye-med plan, searched, received quotes from over 12 vision places local and on line. On jan.3rd. I walked into Fresno location received beyond great customer service. At first I could not find a pair I was happy with Im extremely pickey and have fine wine taste on a two buck chuck budget. So just before I was ready to try another optical place. A nice lab tech brought me an Oakley pair to try on they where clear framed, and I have placed a order. They are transitions with HD vision . I opted for no line bifocal progressive lens sounds super expensive,? Yes I had received some costly Quotes over time. So a week later I was called to come pick up. They looked great and my vision was awsome. Great to read small print again, great to see street signs. Colors pop. I have worn 4 days and received compliments all over internet, FB, in person, at school, in church, at work, I even took them out on a date. Im extremely happy you must stop by and find your new you!

Went here because I was in the store Eyeglass World to buy new frames for my daughter and she was due for a yearly checkup, so out of convince I had her yearly eye exam done here. However, not Dr. Yao but rather his assistant preformed the eye exam which was not disclose to me until I returned to pick up her glasses and I had an issue because he of course got the prescription wrong. After buying two name brand frames and lenses at the fitting my daughter could not see out of the glasses so we had to do another exam this time by Albert Yao. After learning he is the professional and not the previous examiner I was confident the next prescription would be right but I was so wrong. After waiting days and having to drag my daughter in there yet again to try on her glasses she still couldnt see well out of them. I was told we would have to do a 3rd exam and again after a month and 4 exams her prescription was still wrong. I then went to Lens Crafters (where she usually gets her glasses and always get her exams and they preformed a more in depth and thorough exam and a few days later when going to her first fitting at LC to my relief the glasses worked out perfectly and she could see better than ever. I went back in to Eye Glass World to receive my over $400 refund and then went into the eye exam office to request a refund from them as well seeing I now had proof by comparing both exams that Albert Yaos exam was extremely inaccurate and greatly differed from the successful exam we had at LC. I was refused a refund for the exams and told that it is in the contract that under no circumstances does he return your money! He is ripping off people who go to him because he makes his money off of people who assume he will give you accurate results just because he has an office, examination equipment, and located inside of a popular eyeglass store.

I called a half hour before coming just to pick up my prescription and when I get here it’s not ready. Then they’re so backed up they’re rescheduling people for the next day who’ve already been waiting an excessively long time and the customer service is not good either. Seriously don’t recommend and I won’t be returning here.

Waiting forever

I went with my sunglasses to get my prescription and I asked the lady who attended to me to please keep my original (glasses / glasses) (they had a lot of $ value) to which she replied yes. When I went for them, a different person attended me, everything was going well until I asked for my original (glasses / glasses) and he replied that they were probably in the trash and at that moment I was very upset since the lady who attended me the first day I assure you were going to keep them. Anyway, if they threw them and the only thing they did to fix it was to give me others (glasses / glasses) without a prescription. It bothers me because the lenses are not from any store, because they know that what is worth more $ is the lens and according to them they leave with that they throw them because nobody wants them. If I wanted them, I told them and they still threw them out ... I was their client and always recommended them but not anymore 👎

I went because they advertised an offer in Frames for lenses and when I was already there No one knew anything, nor did I receive any discount. For me it was a bad experience
