After struggling for two decades with chronic venous insufficiency and its resulting ankle swelling, I experienced the heartbreak of suffering venous stasis ulcers on both lower legs this past June. Treatment(s) over the years by my primary physician and cardiologist had consisted of diuretics and compression stockings which were of limited benefit. All the while, I hoped and prayed the condition would never progress to the point where I would have to endure the leg ulcers depicted in a myriad of horrifying pictures Id seen on the Internet. But it did progress, and my anxiety and dread was overwhelming. I consulted a foot care specialist (thankfully) and he was actually very encouraging. He advised me that numerous procedures exist nowadays that can effectively treat the root causes of vein disorders like mine and, in many cases, reduce or eliminate recurrent venous ulcers and the underlying edema too. He then referred me to Dr. Sanjay Srivatsa, Cardiologist, who operates The Heart, Artery & Vein Center of Fresno (HAV), specializing in the treatment of venous disease..My first visit with Dr. Srivatsa was truly an amazing experience in every way. It was, without a doubt, the most thorough and comprehensive physical exam I have ever undergone, lasting over two hours until completion (during which time the doctor never sat down). I found him engaging, highly competent, and extremely professional. He led an entourage of no less than 6 skilled medical professionals on his staff, each of whom evaluated and concurred on various aspects within their particular expertise, then carefully documented the details. Dr. Srivatsa asked me a series of probing questions, and pointed out physical attributes of my specific circulatory system dating all the way back to my birth, but which I had never recognized as such (and then had those findings independently verified via subsequent CT Scan and Radiologist interpretation). Throughout my exam, his staff meticulously viewed and photographed my extremities, taking precise measurements thereof, while he measured, metered and charted my actual blood flow (in real-time) utilizing state-of-the-art hand-held ultrasound devices and related instruments..Prior to undergoing my first procedure (right leg), in-depth ultrasound studies were conducted on both legs. These sessions were also comprehensive and far more thorough than a perfunctory ultrasound ordered by my regular cardiologist a few years ago. Though I realize medicine is not an exact science, I felt confident that every diagnostic tool was utilized by an entire treatment team, and they were laser focused on my precise needs. I was not disappointed, either. My first procedure successfully ablated my right GS Vein on Aug 11 and I can already see and feel a difference. Any swelling is now far less in the right leg with no discomfort at all. In fact, the whole leg appears lesser in diameter than my left. I couldnt be more pleased with my progress, and I look forward to repeating the procedure on my left leg next month. I never been so unhappy with any doctor like Sanjay Srivatsa MD. he sold me on the stocking to buy several times and all the leg procedures and kept referring me out to other doctors like he didnt care about me . so on my last visit with him again he sent me to another doctor who sent me out to another doctor who sent me to another well known doctor and guess what ! that doctor saved my life . I was 99 percent blockage in my heart good job Sanjay ! I was hospitalized the next day . so anyone reading this you rate him!

First time there a couple days ago and felt very comfortable, nurses are great and the Dr is awesome explained everything. Will be having the veins taken care of in my legs and looking forward to the outcome.Update:: Had my vein procedure done and dr made me feel comfortable. The bruising is ugly but it will look so much better when all done. I highly recommend this dr!!!

My doctor, nurse practitioner and all of the staff at Heart, Artery and Vien Center were very competent, good listener’s, patient and explained everything thoroughly. My surgery went extremely well and I am very happy about my results. I will return if needed and would recommend them to my friends and family!

Save your money and run! All the Dr wants is your money. Did a horrible job.

I have had several office visits within the past 3 months, maybe longer and I have to say that Dr. Srirvatsa is an amazing doctor. He has helped me with issues of my legs and veins. And I could not be happier with the outcome. His employees are all amazing and very friendly and very helpful. Very clean and confortable in his office. Thank you to all the girls and Dr.John as well.

The Dr. is wonderful but the staff is unprofessional. They ignore you at the front desk until they finish their conversations amongst themselves, they act as if you are an inconvenience and not a patient, and thankfully my mother is not a patient in urgent need of care because they took WEEKS to get documents to her insurance after she was told it was going to be taken care of. As a matter of fact, she is still waiting on those documents so who knows if they sent them. If it wasnt due to my mother needing a procedure done with this facility, I would take her elsewhere.

Worst experience, take your loved one(s) elsewhere. The staff is super rude and unprofessional. There was only one gal who was a sweetheart she went in with the nurse practitioner who was also nice, welcoming, and professional. For that I give them a star each or itd be one.

My husband went here as he was referred by his mom. Nice enough Dr however staff never calls you back. Then received a Statement of Delinquency from them stating that their records indicate we have ignored their repeated requests!? This was the very first first letter we ever received advising us of a balance! The staff is awful.

Horrible expierence!!!! Dr Srivasta ordered countless unnecessary test and did not seem to care about my problem. He doesn’t listen to the patient and just wants you to wear your stocking. I went in thinking I could get my problem fixed but came out worse than what I was. He rushes you and does not listen to his patients. It seems like he is just money hungry looking to charge $ and not help. I would never recommend this Dr. To anyone! Stay away!!!!

Horrible experience. The first thing the doctor wants you to do is buy stockings. Then he ordered so many lab work and ultrasound complete unnecessary. They never sent me a bill and called me because my insurance did not cover all the nonsense he ordered. The staff is unprofessional and they never call you back to let you know what is going on with your health. I have this treatment done with other doctors and I can compare. This called doctor only care about getting your money. Scary.
