09/23/21PLEASE READ!!!I know every comment should be taken lightly but I’m sure I can speak for everyone that currently attends.This school has not done anything for me. Every instructor is unprepared to teach the school. Don’t even get me started about the owner of the school. The countless complaints that we have came to him with have and probably won’t ever get resolved. Since I have been here we haven’t even been able to get working toilets!This is all stuff that we realized was an issue later on. From day one we all received “kits” that were supposed to have all our materials for the school year. Good luck finding anyone who actually received a kit with everything we were supposed to have.Now let’s get into more detail about the education. If you like listening to people read off a book all day, this is the place for you!!! Sorry no actual demonstrations on how to cut hair, just pictures in a book. My bad, this school has taught me one thing, how to give facial messages because we do them allllll the time.Unfortunately because I’m almost done, I am going to finish out my “education” here. At this point I’m here for the degree because when you go here, you are going to have to teach yourself.

Arrived at 10am and stay there till 6pm yet they couldnt get my hair to the color that I wanted. And yes I paid full price of $80. I called to see if they are able to redo and the front desk lady said that there will be a additional fee of $5 per bowl of color mixing depending how many bowls it will take to dye majority of my hair. So I never went back again. These photos are the after result on the same day. My color that I was aiming for is charcoal gray.

The students had great energy, though it seems they have very little practical knowledge, the girl working with me could tell me a lot of information about products, but didn’t appear to know much about what to actually do, I know what shampoo and conditioners to use now, but my cut and style was sub par, I think they need more hands on help than they are receiving

My only complaint was I didnt have an appointment the receptionist told me to sit down and she forgot me, luckily the other receptionist when I went back up was great. I gave 5 stars because of Maribel she did a fantastic job.

First off, the students are absolutely amazing, they were so kind, though they seem extremely stressed, I feel like they could use a lot more help than they were getting, there are not enough teachers for the volume of students, and they rely too much on assuming the students understand things, it’s a school, they need more instruction, not just encouraging words

Cant say enough wonderful things about here. First visit was a cut. My future professional was Brenda. She was so sweet and attentive. She took her time, which I really appreciated. I was so happy with the result. I booked my second appointment for color, I cant wait to see how she interprets and executes my vision. Atmosphere is lovely, and everyone is super nice. Love love love this place.

After years of going to the Milan Institute and not being very pleased with the service I received there, i decided to try something new after a friend recommended Paul Mitchell the School in Fresno. Although it is 30 minutes away from my house, it was well worth the trip! The prices are super cheap considering the excellent service I experienced. I got a pedicure with Katherina and she was fabulous. She did such a wonderful job I already scheduled an appointment to come back this Friday for a hair blowout! Definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a good salon with fair prices, wonderful customer service, and overall great work.

Great place! I have been there quite a few times. They pamper you--do great conditioners and cuts! It is a really inexpensive way to get the beauty treatments you need! I recommend you ask for advanced stylists, although all students are good!I am going back before my vacation and may try the super gloss color...I think that would be great for summer! (Cecilia)

First time visiting this Paul Mitchell school, and I was very pleased with my experience. The lady at the front desk was very informative and didnt rush us. She answered all my questions and took her time to explain how the phase 1 and phase 2 stuff works.I just got a hair cut, and the future professional who worked with me was very meticulous and did such a nice job on my hair. She did everything I asked, I even requested her for the next day to return for a color treatment! I will recommend this facility to my friends.

First of all, it had been a while since I was in the salon/school and it looks great! The remodel is very cool. Rose was my stylist and she was wonderful. She listened to what I wanted and I have been very happy with the cut and hope to maintain it. I have my next appointment coming up soon and I am even considering a color change. Yes, they are that professional and I feel I can trust their technique. The teachers are actively present and work along with the students when called on, which I find very reassuring. At the same time, the students are given the chance to grow and use what they have learned. I was very happy with my experience and look forward to returning.

Absolutely fabulous. Great service and incredible prices. I especially loved how they took the time to as questions about my hair and ensure a cut that will work for me and is easier to style. I came into Paul Mitchell wanting to get my hair done for my upcoming wedding. I was nervous as I wanted some highlights done and I have long, thick hair. In the end I had about three different people working on my hair, with Shauna taking the lead. They worked quickly and had their teachers on hand every time they had a question on how to proceed. They were courteous and overall professional. The best part my hair turned out great. Ive come a few times before and will continue to be a customer even though I live 3 hours away. Yes, they take longer than a regular salon, but Ive always come out with great hair. So its worth the wait. Come with ample time, especially for hair coloring, they will treat you well. They are also super affordable!

In my first visit ever to Paul Mitchell The School Fresno I received a amazing haircut. I decided to cut more than 10in because I wanted to do something different to my hair. I walked out of the building feel fabulous, I absolutely loved how Brenda was attentive to how I thought about my cut as she continued, she cut it exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend going to Paul Mitchell The School for any hair needs! Today I did the pd test and it was a quick and easy process. I was in and out in no time! Also, it is an extremely friendly place :)

I had the most wonderful person ever to cut my hair! She did such an amazing job and I felt super comfortable there. Plus my hairstylist gave me the best massage while she was washing my hair. I could have fell asleep. They do a great job for a great price!

This place is amazing! Not like other beauty schools where the atmosphere leaves something to be desired. This place us upbeat, clean, and professional. I love my cut and color and would highly recommend Michele Petersen if you are looking for someone to listen to you and do exactly what you want, or she will give you her input to bring your style up to date. Love Love Love my haircut! Dominic listened to what I wanted and my hair turned out perfect. He was careful about following my previous cut, which was exactly what I wanted. Ive recently visited the school to get my hair lightened for spring/summer and I must say both the ambiance and future professionals are great. Angelica, the student who did my hair was nothing short of professional in both her mannerism and I loved the end product! She took her time and asked what I liked and truly assessed what I wanted in order for me to leave as a satisfied customer. They communicate well with customers and do their best to get you in and out in a timely manner. I will definitely be in for more services in the near future.

I purchased a Living Social deal for hair services and loved it. My beautician - Stevie, was very sweet and she did an excellent job on my hair. the services take a little longer, but that is to be expected as this is a teaching institution. The prices are great and they offer a wide range of services. Paul Mitchell The School Fresno is now my favorite salon; Loved the yang people and the attention, politeness, and professionalism. will definitely recommend to my friends.

I had a great experience today at the Paul Mitchell School. Went in for a color and cut and was not disappointed. The staff were all welcoming and friendly which gives it a wonderful atmosphere. I figured I would give them a try since I have not had any luck finding a stylist who does razor cuts. The student who did my hair was terrific he was attentive and professional the entire time. The coaches that work with the students were all very friendly and attentive and wanted to be sure you were getting the service you requested. My color and my haircut turned out great and I want to thank the whole staff especially Javier for such a terrific experience. I know I will be coming back - Great Job!

I have been to this location twice now. Once for myself to get a whole new cut/style and once for my daughter. The staff is pleasant and the environment is nice as well. The wash station was a pleasant surprise with the serenity of the room. I cant wait to go back for color. Sara is fabulous and truly cares about making her clients look great and feel good. I would recommend Paul Mitchell to friends. Just be sure that you arent in a hurry. It is a school after all.

The service at Paul Mitchell is great and the people there are awesome! I love the staff,Ive been here a couple times and so far Ive had nothing but good experience. This place is great! My hairstylist is Michele and she takes her time to really listen to what you want and what fits your lifestyle. Then she adds her own magic to the mix! The teachers, such as Stephanie, are great too, and are always around to provide support when needed. I always feel happier and lighter when I walk out! ☀️

Ive had several services at Paul Mitchell Fresno and each has been great. Staff is wonderful.. Very friendly and so helpful. Students are eager to please and seem to really enjoy their environment.Haircut by Future Professional Emily was really good... Ive loved the shape and Ive been able to produce good looks each morning at home. Emily provides a wonderful pedicure ( Ive had 3 ) and manicure. Anthony has cut and colored my hair and has done an awesome job both times! Hes extremely knowledgeable and friendly and he knows exactly what I want. As long as Anthony is with Paul Mitchell, I will continue to make appointments with him there, then I will follow him wherever he goes. I had a great experience at this school. Aurora was really nice and friendly and the girls who helped her do my hair as well were friendly. Great experience at The Paul Mitchell School. I had my hair lightened by April with close supervision of the instructors since it was her first double process and it turned out really well. I also got my hair cut, a basic blunt cut, but she used a very cool technique. Im looking forward to my appointment tomorrow to do something different with my color. PS. The wash house is pretty fantastic.

Had a terrible experience. My girlfriend was able to convince me to go with her to get a haircut since she found a groupon that brought the total price under $12. I normally go to a barbershop but thought I would give it a try, but that was my first mistake. I will not be returning at all. The hair dresser who I was put with seemed unexperienced, I get it that this is a school for students learning to become hair dressers, but she was unable to do a very simple hair cut. She left my hair uneven and it looks like I have a bush on top of my head. She called over the instructor who was unable to help her correct her mistakes. Eventually she told me that she was all out of time and was unable to continue the hair cut. What really got me upset was when she told me that she was unable to cut my hair due to not having the same equipment as a barber shop. If students are unable to complete a simple hair cut then maybe instructors should think twice about allowing them to work on paying customers.I will definitely not be returning and would rather take my service else where.

Paul Mitchell of Fresno has such a positive atmosphere! Every time I go there I am satisfied with my services. Haleigh Brink is someone who is attending there right now and I highly recommend her! Everyone should go there if they want a good service for a good price!

They are students so it takes a little longer than your typical beauty shop but they always do a good job under the supervision of excellent learning leaders. My best friend goes to school a Paul Mitchell so I started going to give her support and a head to work on. Ever since my first visit, I come in approximately 3 times a month for various things and also experience the way other students work. I went in to fix my diy bleached hair and I received a free consultation. I met with Hannah, she was very honest and well-educated about what could be done to my hair without damaging it further. She consistently verified her ideas with the instructor, Joaquin, who was also well-educated. They even did test strips at the consultation to clearly see how my hair could be corrected. Maintaining the integrity of my hair was huge concern throughout the visit. So I will be returning to get a color correction. Overall it was friendly and quality service

She styles my hair so amazing when you get your hair shampooed you go into a room where it is so relaxing very spa like and when she washes my hair she doesnt scrub she massages my head. LOVE IT!! I was super hesitant to come to Paul Mitchell the School to get any services done, because they are of course students but I can now say that I will be returning as a regular for now on and recommending as many of my friends and family as well. They are completely professional, make you feel so welcome and comfortable. The student who was helping me, (Amanda), knew right off the bat what I wanted and what she was going to do. She even went into depth and explained the process and terms. I feel so at ease knowing that I will be in good hands.

I recommended the school to a family member and she is stuck on it! She has been to 5 stylists there and just love the hair products!We also love the savings as we would rather get a really good haircut at Paul Mitchells and have money left over for a movie! Cant get better than that!We also had a small problem with the color..it just wasnt exactly what I expected, but they are fixing it at no charge and I have had no other problems.I should look great by Mothers Day!

I scheduled a facial for myself and granddaughter and arrived at the appointed hour. After being ignored by the girl at the desk for 5 minutes I flnally asked if this was where I checked in ? After another hour, now I must interject, I arrived and have been seated on a mobility scooter this entire time and have moved back and forth to the counter so these folks can plainly see I cannot walk,we are escorted to a set of stairs leading downstairs? These women looked at me in dead surprise when I told them I couldnt use said stairs unless they cared to carry me up and down. I stated that my scooter was not merely a fashion accessory I REALLY need it! They said they were sorry but all the rooms they usually used for facials were being used for other things?!? I have never been treated with less care in my entire life! Complete disorganization.

Went in for the first time for a cut and absolutely loved it! The service was amazing and with cut is included a wash (aka a super relaxing head massage) and style. My stylist did a wonderful job and I will be going back for color. Such a great deal!

Awesome experience! I got better care here then I ever did when I went to the salon. My stylist, Taylor C. was wonderful!I started using Paul Mitchel products many months ago and I wont go back to what I was using ever! Paul Mitchell products leave my hair feeling clean, soft, and manageable.

Ive been coming to Paul Mitchell since I was in high school. Every single time I come I always leave super satisfied. The staff is always friendly, and my hair always looks/feels amazing when theyre finished. Theyve made really awesome upgrades within the last few years, including a room specifically for washing thats very relaxing. I highly recommend trying Paul Mitchell out!!!

I saw that they accept walk ins but every time i went i couldn’t get a haircut because it was “students time” and i wasn’t mad after that because they’re just learning new techniques on how to cut and style your hair better but it’s better to just call and book an appointment. When i arrived to my appointment i went early and waited about 7 minutes until i was attended. When i was attended she started blow drying my hair and earlier the lady at the register asked me if i wanted curls and i said yes and i thought that meant that after she cut my hair she could curl it but i was wrong. I understand that a part of that was my fault and i should’ve made it more clear but when she was done with my hair i realized she just curled it SHE DIDN’T EVEN CUT IT!! I paid money for a curl that would last me a few hours... But i will say she did curl my hair fairly well. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t go here i’m just saying to make sure you explain and specify what it is you want. :) Update: I dared to go back and even though it took a little while she cut my hair well and made me feel comfortable and we talked mostly throughout the whole process. I asked for her student id and i will definitely be going back for my next hair cut.

My stylist was very professional and did a very good job for a beauty school. She put in 200 foils in my hair if not more and they were all very precise! It took a little longer than a professional salon but worth every penny! I will continue to go back!

The experience I had at Paul Mitchell in Fresno was absolutely amazing. I recommend anyone to come here and try it out. Especially when they wash your hair, I pretty much fall asleep every time they are that good! The students are very professional and very friendly. They make you feel right at home.

When I got there the workers in the front were real polite in welcoming me in. Didnt take long to be seen for the test. They even told me the truth on the cost for how thick my hair is will be extra. That is really professional. Just Wish I remember the the Young ladys name. So 5 stars for you.

I was always scared to venture of an do different things to my hair, but seeing how one of my friends is a student and how many things she does to her hair made me want to make a change. I set up my appointment and cut my long hair and I loved it! I love the atmosphere and how fun and up beat everyone is. I will defiantly be going back.

Hello,I went in this morning for a hair cut, I loved the outcome of it. I enjoyed how beauticians worked together to give me a fabulous look. I loved how gently my hair was washed. It was very relaxing. In all it was a very enjoyable experience.

The students are wonderful but I feel as though they are not getting nearly as much education as they need, the teachers appear to be doing a sub par job with the education being given, such a shame.

I personally like Paul Mitchell the school, Fresno because its more convenient and cheaper than a salon but this last time that i went--i spent hours sitting and waiting for my hair to finish. it was not a pleasant feeling and to top it off, i had 4 girls work on my hair. I cannot begin to understand that. My regular hairdresser is great, but the other girls who finished my hair were very unprofessional. They did no converse, they were literally pulling my hair when they blow dried it. I honestly do not want to go through that ever again, but i love my girl Priscilla Morales because she knows what she is doing and I want to continue going there.

Great experience; everybody I interacted with was inviting, accommodating, and warm. The atmosphere is very friendly and professional. I went to Kelsey for a haircut and loved the result. She was more than happy to adjust the cut when I wasnt sure about the bangs, and by the end I was ecstatic.

I recently got my hair colored there and I loved the result!! First, everybody was so nice. I got my hair color by Page P. and she honestly did such an amazing job with it that Im going back to get it retouched :) ombrés can be hard to do but the end result was exactly what I wanted, and for her to just be a student, I was really impressed! Definitely would go back to get my hair done there any day! I highly recommend Page, too!

Got a hair cut by Emily Richardson, she did a fabulous job on my layers and bangs. Took a little bit longer than a regular salon, but that was because she had to check everything off by someone. Besides that she was awesome and friendly. Plus no one can beat a $10 hair cut and style!!!!!

My mom and I came by today to use our Living Social vouchers and we were not disappointed! Everyone was super friendly, outgoing, and really knowledgeable. The mentors worked with the stylists in training and provided them with constructive feedback on their techniques.I went in there this morning with only a faint idea of what I wanted to do with my hair...something purple. I have naturally golden-yellow blonde hair, so there was a little bit nervousness with my excitement. Mia (#2033), my stylist today, was amazing! I showed her pictures of what I was thinking, she discussed her thoughts and concerns with me, explained her ideas, and then sounded them off with the mentors. Mia was so much fun...I felt comfortable with her working on my hair because its obvious that shes passionate about her art. Ill be going back in 6 weeks to have Mia do some more coloring. :):)

I have been a customer for Paul Mitchell for the past three years and the professionalism always impresses me. This time, I got a trim and scalp treatment. Danielle did a great job, paying attention to detail and not rushing even though it cut into her lunch break. Ive noticed this with he other student tending to me. I will definitely return again.

The service is great every time I come here, everything from the receptionists to the person actually doing my hair (Brittney). They all take great care of you and make you feel comfortable and relaxed. I love going to Brittney, shes always done a great job on coloring my hair and its always turned out so good!

I went to the school of Paul Mitchell the other day, I loved the salon. I did not expect it to be as big as it was and very clean. The staff was professional an friendly. I did not have to wait long to get service. I am going in today to get hi-lights! Brittany was so sweet when I came in the other day! Im going in for ombré hi-lights today! Brittanys hair looks Great so Im confident it will turn out good, but nervous!

I went in for a color correction because I colored my hair myself and didnt like the shade it came out and Nancy was very sweet and helpful with her suggestions and always went to her instructor Stepanie to verify any thing she wanted to do to my hair prior to doing anything which made me feel very relaxed so I could trust what they were doing. She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and really listened to every concern I had. The massage at the shampoo area was so relaxing and the color results came out much better than when I walked in. I made an appointment to follow up with Nancy as I really liked her services and the Paul Mitchell products. And the bonus of course is their prices are very reasonable!

Its always been a great experience here! I have got my nails, hair treatments, facials done. I wasnt satisfied with waxing my arms and legs but I understand the fact that they are still students. Overall love it and perfect price!

I went in for a hair cut and a deep hair treatment on a Friday afternoon. The girl who worked on my hair, Melinda did a great job. She knew I didnt I want to take too much off so she gave me a hair trim and took her time on the hair treatment. Paul Mitchell is a wonderful hair company and their services always exceeds my expectation.

I really love this school I would rather get my hair done here than go to an actual school. My friend is the one that always dose my hair and I am so pleased with the outcomes of my hair every time I go in. They have some great teachers. Plus the people there are so nice.

My experience was exceptional. My stylist was Bonnie Little. I explained the chemical processes that my hair had been exposed to. Bonnie listened and consulted her mentors. The results were amazing. The color match was perfect, the fading highlights were removed, and the shine was restored. I could no longer afford my prior choices and I needed to go back to natural. I tried to correct the color at another salon before I approached Paul Mitchell. Unfortunately, the competition turned my hair brassy and fried. I was scared to try again, but I am so happy I did. Its 6 weeks after my last appointment and Im going back for more on May 8th. Thanks Paul Mitchell for making me look like a professional again. Another thing I enjoyed, is that my stylist knew the importance of customer service. I was worried that I would frustrate her with all of my requests, but she listened like a sister. She is MY new stylist and I am HER client.

I have been here quite a few times now for my highlights and Im always happy with my results, the instructors are very helpful with their students and the students always help each other out as well. I plan to come here on a regular basis. great service and a great school!

I really enjoy going to Paul Mitchell for the Awapuhi treatments. The staff is so friendly, the location is perfect and the prices are really nice. My favorite is their Wash House! What a treat, and very relaxing. The facility is very clean. Sometimes there is a long wait to get started, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Ive been to Paul Mitchel school a few times and each time my experience has been great! From the front desk to the future professionals my experiences have been exactly what I would expect from a professional salon. Ive had color, scalp treatments, hair cuts, completely different styles and have been happy w/ each service. I highly recommend Sawyer Sprague who has been my stylist since day one. Shes great!

Today I went to Paul Mitchells to get my eyebrows waxed and Javier did a great job! He made me feel comfortable and the instructors that were there are friendly and reassuring. The atmosphere is awesome!!! I will definitely be going back for more services.

For a school i enjoyed the experience. jenne is extremely talented and passionate about what she does. She is most concerned that you are happy but is not afraid to give you ideas and suggest what she thinks would look best. My advice- trust her! She knows her stuff, her cuts and shes great. I always look forward to my next appointments. it being a school is a huge part of the experience.

I went to this school back in 2012 to get the famous ombre look. I was really hesitant at first because theyre students, however, I am happy I went. I loved the way my hair came out. The girl that did my hair took her time and they had to follow steps which an instructor would have to check off each step of the way. I also liked how professional they were and the environment overall.

I love this place. Their customer service has been a great experience and my hair color, highlights, and styling have been superb. My daughter who is very picky with the final product of my hair, appreciates it. I will always go to Paul Mitchell School in Fresno. Thank you!

I have been to Paul Mitchell The School a couple of times and had a wonderful hair cut by a future professional. My last visit was with future professional Ashley and I had gel nails. She did a super job they are so pretty. I would recommend Paul Mitchell The School to anyone and I will be back for all my hair and nail needs.

The students do a great job of taking their time and asking a lot of questions to make sure they give you exactly what you are asking for. I have been to the salon 3 times, and each time I have been completely satisfied. The prices are affordable and the service is great.

Been here a couple times always receive fast and friendly service.My last experience was great. Phase 1 student wasnt sure on something, asked her superior and she helped her figured it out while teaching. Great to experience.I was hesitant to let students cut or do anything to my hair but I definitely recommend them to anyone!

I had Erin in the evening. .. a first year student... she was awesome.. friendly knowledgeable and professional... but the BEST of all was the hair wash room... I come in to have my hair washed anyway.. so the whole environment was soooo relaxing!! 5 stars for the hair wash experience!! I liked how the students helped each other and that the instructor came around often. thank you

Organized, the layout is neatly arranged. Gives off a nice, inviting atmosphere and I noticed how happy the students looked with each other (so much that they were willing to share their Sour Patch Kids with each other) and with their customers. Amber was pleasant and attentive to my needs.

Ive been here a few times and always had a good experience. I was hesitant at first to let students cut my hair but they are great. I highly recommend giving a student an opportunity to learn and give you a fabulous new hair do :)

I went in for a pedicure but received much more. The customer service is great!My manicurist was nice and very gentle. They always do a great job here.

I went to salon bc someone with me needed a hair cut it was out first time. The lady in front was very rude, we asked for cosmetologist and she did bring a barber and said”he is a barber and also bilingual which might help with communication”. The barber knew Spanish and English I think. Her tone was very rude and racist. I do understand guests might not get the most professional service in there but at the very least we expect the staff to be polite.

I got my hair dyed by Caci , and it was amazing! Everyone is super nice and they do exactly what you ask for. The students make sure you are taken care of like any other salon and the teachers are close by for help. The wash room is super relaxing. I will definitely be going back!!
