Worst possible place for your loved ones to be.They do not call you back,They do not follow up on anything they say theyre going to do.When you call them no one has answers to anything. They are absolutely horrible If you care about your loved ones do not place them in this facility. It appeared as if they used Covid as a cover to not provide adequate care to the residents. My sister went to visit my mom THROUGH THE GLASS WINDOW.They brought her out with no pants and disheveled hair. Wrapped in a sheet

My siblings and I were initially very concerned and very worried about allowing our mother to be placed here at Golden Living after reading the negative reviews. But, our interactions so far with the staff here have been very positive. I usually stop by unannounced to visit my mom and each time Ive witnessed staff members performing their duties professionally and caring for my mom. Mai is very courteous and professional. She took time to answer all my questions regarding my mothers condition. Ena is very nice. Shes very sweet towards to my mother. Thank you Ena and Mai for your kindness and professionalism.

Anyone giving this place a good review is either being paid or doesn’t care about their parents. Residents are neglected because there aren’t enough CNA’s. There aren’t enough CNA’s because they are thrown into the facility with no guidance as to where everything is and how things work. The RN’s mistreat them & the residents lash at them leaving them to quit. On my first day I found an older woman laying in her own throw up. I cleaned her up & dressed her & saw that her hair was completely matted from lack of care. I reported it & was told to just cut it. This being my first paying job as a CNA really opened my eyes to the horrors of retirement homes. Take your parents home & hire an at home caregiver or look elsewhere. I can’t live with myself if I don’t report what I’ve seen.

We have filed a complaint with the state of California after my step father died unexpectedly in this facility. He was there to recover from a surgery for a broken femur. He did have other health issues but none would explain sudden death. We had brought several behavioral issues to the attention of the staff in the days leading up. We had to discuss medication levels with his nurse because he was being medicated to a state of complete confusion for the first two weeks in their care. He had been moved from one room to another and left in a room with the wrong information on his medical board in the room. We advised the nurse on duty that the information on it was incorrect and we wanted it changed to reflect my step fathers needs and information. We had a nurse tell him to shut up and another threaten to leave him on his bedpan to adjust his attitude and another neglect to check on a leaking catheter which we feel may have caused health issues. When he passed away the people at the facility did not know why he died or when. When we pushed the cause of death issue they started guessing several causes and then clammed up. We are not requesting an autopsy just wanting to know the cause. We are not blaming them for his death but we still need to know what killed him. The administrators told us when we met with them that my stepfather had several health issues but none that caused him to need constant monitoring and then turned around and told us one of his health issues could have caused it. So why wasnt he monitored more closely then. The bottom line is, my family is devastated and feel neglected by this money collecting greedy place. Keep your family members at home and get an in home care nurse.

Golden Living Center - Fresno is at the forefront of elevating the standards of care for skilled nursing facilities. They have various programs that enhance patient safety such as a CHF program to improve disease management. In addition, their nurses are ACLS certified and provide compassionate and competent care to residents. With regard to cleanliness, the facility is reminiscent of a hotel-like environment. Wherein patients will feel safe and comfortable. Thus, I have no reservations in recommending Golden Living Center - Fresno to my loved ones.

Memory care is deplorable, people wander aimlessly with little stimulation or treatment. Unsafe residents are put with vulnerable people not in position to defend themselves.Station 1 is routinely understaffed and has not met required staffing numbers in weeks. Mgmt plays games with reporting, use numbers that reflect entire facility, not specific stations. New staff receive very little training and are given too much responsibility too soon.Safety for things such as falls or infection control are rarely adhered to, masks while sick, washing residents hands before they eat even for those known to put hands In unsanitary places rarely takes place, and residents not able to speak for self are left in their beds for days, weeks at a time unless family is able to provide care.Do to water concerns residents went for 6 weeks without showers and many didn’t receive bed baths either. When family brings concerns to administration guidelines are set, only to be revoked when staff are reported for not following orders.State appears to have little to know ability to make long term consistent change. Retaliation is rampant. Social services do not provide support to most residents or families, but rather operates as a punitive arm of mgmt.Development of support systems between families and residents are discouraged and even sometimes used as threats instead of encouraging likeminded individuals to support one another through end of life situations with their loved ones.If you choose to place family members here make certain you have time to supplement care as staff routinely call off shifts leaving coworkers burdened with ratios of 18:1 several times a week. The more your loved one needs will directly correlates to amount of time you will need to be available. If you are looking for memory care, STAY AWAY!! Nothing on brochure is true. However, GLC/Dycora does have another facility ran by two great people Carmena and Angela. On a positive note there are some good staff that will go the extra mile to help. Unfortunately they become overworked and under supported.

This is the worst place Ive ever been. The staff are rude especially the rest Indian rns. They have issues giving out pain meds as well as general information. They have no care if you need bathing and your on your own if you need potty assistance. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy.
