My review is long overdue!I first saw Dr. Brown in Sept 2020, and it was determined that I required surgery to fix my inguinal hernia. I came to Dr. Brown because I was particularly interested in a non-mesh repair. He performed the surgery in October 2020 and everything went perfectly.I was most impressed with his follow up care. I was able to call him anytime and he always answered or responded within a couple hours. He was happy to answer all questions and concerns, and the recovery went well.Thank you so much for your care!

Really very happy that I did the research and weighed the evidence on the different hernia repair techniques. Dr. Browns website explained it so well and when I called to make an appointment, their courtesy and manners served to confirm my decision. Dr. Brown answered a few questions personally. When I traveled there for the surgery and met him, I found him to be very pleasant and humorous. He detected that I indeed did have a double hernia - something a CT scan did NOT show. 6 weeks after surgery I was running 10 K regularly. Absolutely zero pain or sensitivity now.

Great guy and doctor! Whereas other doctors could not find anything wrong with me, Dr. Brown found two nerve entrapments wrapped around my spermatic cord and several small hernias. Heck, even his secretary is insanely nice and knowledgeable!

I want to thank Dr. Brown for solving my most bothering issue of 2020.I got a hernia in December 2018 during three days winter backpacking trip at Tahoe mountains. I wont tell you how much fun it was - probably the most suffering experience of my life. Carrying the backpack up and down the mountains through the deep snow in cold weather with the constant pain in your stomach – was unforgettable!Earlier, I also felt the pain after windsurfing practices, but I didnt even understand what it was, so I didnt do anything about it. But coming back from Tahoe, Ive decided to address the issue. I went to PAMF here in Fremont, CA. At first, theyve ignored me, dismissing the hernia diagnosis altogether. After it was confirmed by ultrasound, the PAMF surgeon still has never get back to me. I let it go at that time because it got better and didnt bother me anymore. Then it became worse again in summer 2020. First, I couldnt do push-ups, then I stopped running; it was too painful. Later I couldnt even walk for a long time, got tired quickly. It was so unusual and uncomfortable, so I finally decided to fix it. I had enough of PAMFs ignorance, so I searched online and quickly found Dr. Brown 10 min away from my home. It was around mid-November 2020, I didnt want to completely miss the ski season, so I pressed it forward.By that time, Ive studied a few websites on the topic, including ones from the top medical institutions – UCSF and Stanford. The main idea Ive got from my research is that it is not a complex surgery, if doctor does it regularly. Its essential to find someone who focuses specifically on hernias and does hundreds of procedures a year. I thought Dr. Brown fits that requirement for the right professional. Ive also trusted his experience with mesh/non-mesh choices; his explanation on the website sounded reasonable to me.At the first visit, Dr. Brown confirmed the diagnosis and proposed the surgery. He also explained how it works, how to get ready, and what happens after. Weve scheduled the procedure a week later - in early-December 2020. In total, I spent about 6-7 hours in the surgery center in Fremont, mostly waiting. I have quite busy and stressful work, so it was a good relaxing time out off work, and I took a nap for an hour or so. Since surgery is not something I often do, it was a unique and exciting experience. Everything went well, and my wife picked me up around 5 pm the same day.The next few days were somewhat rough and uncomfortable, but not even closely comparable to my Tahoe trip. Ive never found enough reason to use strong pain medicine, which was prescribed to me. What was especially surprising is that every morning Dr. Brown called my wife or me to check how I feel. It was very kind and unexpected. Every day I felt better. After two days I was walking for 30-40 minutes, in two weeks I was riding a bicycle, and in a month I was skiing (carefully, with kids :)).Now its been two months, I feel great! Im back into push-ups and running and hope to go backpacking sometime soon. 😊I feel very thankful to Dr. Brown for the great work he does!

Ive been having debilitating chronic pain for 16 years due to prior hernia mesh surgeries. Dr. Brown successfully removed two hernia mesh plugs and an mesh On-lay from my right inguinal side which were entangled with my spermatic cord and nerves. My surgery was very long, difficult, and complicated. He showed me the pictures and I honestly dont know how he did it. He is a very careful surgeon and his followup with me was above and beyond. I had a few complications after surgery but honestly, I feel 100 times better than I did prior to the surgery (even though Im still recovering). Im only taking Tylenol for pain and my chronic pain is gone! Tylenol never eliminated my pain before so I know he just gave me my life back! In my opinion, this guy is not just a surgeon, hes a saint! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Dr. William Brown!

He has also grown to be my very close friend. He does 200+ hernia surgery’s a year. If you ever need surgery and want it done THE RIGHT WAY. I had a bad experience at this office, I went in to get Kybella which is very expensive to begin with but I still wanted to try it out. I didnt see any difference after getting 6 vials and I paid almost $3000. I talk to them about it and they say it sometimes takes 6 treatments which was not informed to me earlier. I just feel I wasted my money and get no result. Also I was suggested to get Cool Sculpting after all I paid. I am just very disappointed with the doctor office

Dr. Brown gave me my life back. At age 23 I was unable to run, and in constant paint from two failed inguinal hernia surgeries. When first diagnosed with an adductor tear and two sports hernias I opted to go to Germany, and was operated on by Dr. Urlike Muschaweck. The first surgery attempt failed. Second surgery was done by Dr. William Meyers, in Philadelphia, also failed. Dr. Brown is hands down the best doctor when it comes to fixing adductors or inguinal hernias. I have not had one single problem with my groin since being operated on by Dr. Brown. I would highly recommend going to him if you are suffering from inguinal hernia problems, or adductor problems. Thanks Dr. Brown for everything. Truly gave me my life back.
