As any good Local Guide ought to do, I wanted to revisit here to see what may have changed. My original review was completely biased as I was a current employee at the time. That review was what got me into contributing to Google Maps. Screenshot attached.I called and asked if I could come in and look around, see if anyone I knew was still around. I was told it was fine by staff. The main entrance is closed and the entrance to the assisted living side is the only way in. I decided to wait a day before visiting as I had other business.I arrived and pulled into a parking space outside the assisted living entrance. They screen all persons who enter the building for Covid-19 symptoms. Completely appropriate and they have a QR code system for added security. I asked for help and was allowed inside. When I thanked the Community Service Specialist, they said, Your welcome. I continued on a couple steps and stopped. I went back to ask them, Shouldnt you have said, My Pleasure? They looked at me and shrugged their shoulders. It is a Trilogy Service Standard™ that when the words thank you are heard, the response is always and only supposed to be My Pleasure in a friendly manner. Ask them and they will confirm this. Usually.I proceeded into the health care side of the building. It was during lunch as everyone was being served. I saw a face I recognized, approached and spoke to the person. After a brief re-introductory and catching up chat I went looking for other faces. I found one and went through the same experience as the first person, but I expected that. I was approached by Joni, the human resources director, and was told that visitors arent allowed in the dining room at meal times. Not even family. Its a precaution for Covid-19. I doubled back and was greeted by Marsha, the social services director. After a very brief chat she continued serving lunch and I turned back around.I walked further into the building to see who else was still in the leadership team and stopped Jodi, the MDS director, to inquire about a specific person. Her answer was appropriate and I was satisfied with the answer. I continued walking and looking around, saw a soda fountain and remembered that their hospitality service standard is to offer visitors a beverage. I saw the former director of clinical services, Paula, and asked her if I could get a beverage. She told me, I dont know. We arent even supposed to do it.I continued back through the divider doors to the assisted living side. I was headed out of the building and was stopped. It was Phil, the director of plant operations. Like a cop he started questioning me. Phil told me that because of Covid-19 it is against their policy to allow people admit visitors unless they have a specific person to visit.I asked him why I was told yesterday that I could come in and do what I just did. He said, Theres a lot of new people around here and some dont know. This, again, goes against Trilogy Service Standards™. Everyone is clearly educated on every policy change and their understanding is logged.I reminded him of this and that it is a Trilogy Service Standard™. You know better, Phil. I turned and continued to exit the building. I hear an insincere, You have a nice day. Without stopping I reply, You too, Phil. Its been a pleasure.I read my old review, knowing what my condition was when I wrote it, and knowing that I had embellished. Looking back, they used to have the best nursing home food you will ever find. Many therapists from their rehabilitation group have left. Ive seen them at another therapy group and was told that others had left as well. Every staff member is NOT friendly or helpful.UPDATE: Because they failed to communicate, they decided to call the local police department. Im banned from the building. Childish of them not to reach out to me themselves.

Ive worked at valley view for almost 12 years and I think its the best facility around. The food is much better than most restaurants, the therapists are amazing--they work miracles on our residents. The staff all care about our residents and take time to get to know them and their families. Most of us are friends outside of work and we all work together. We try and take care of each person the way we would want our own parents taken care of.

I have worked for Valley View for 6 years now and it is the BEST place to work. When you care about your employees, they care about the residents. We have a strong focus toward providing quality care and excellent customer service and that is what I love about this place. I started in this profession because of my grandmother. I wanted everyone to be loved and cared for like I love and care for her. I am happy to stay that the residents and staff at Valley View are family to me.

Great place to live and work. Residents are able to make choices, keeping their routine they had prior to moving in. They have many meal choices with a great cafe menu. There is a manager on duty until 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and weekend managers as well. We have the opportunity to take the residents out on weekly trips. Trilogy will pay for summer filed trips, to ensure residents have the opportunity to experience their communities.

I surely hope that this new place is better than the old one on June Street. I worked at that one and it was a dump!!! I wouldnt of put my dog in there! I loved the older people but the staffing was terrible. Never enough help (like alot of nursing homes) people neglected sitting in wet diapers because you cant get to them there is so much work to be done because of being short staffed. There was even one time a man didnt get his dinner fed to him until 7 oclock because we were so short staffed someone forgot to feed him. There his traysat in his room until it was discovered. The rush and push to the employees was imense. The director at the time could have cared less. Their opinion was that aides were a dime a dozen and anybody off the street could do that job. NOT TRUE! Look and think twice about putting your loved one in there. It may look good on the outside but investigated further!
