My wife has had Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) since 2014. This is a chronic disease, it has no cure.She has visited different rheumatologists and tried several medications. Now she is using Humira.RA is an autoimmune disease; like having the immune system too sensitive. Humira makes the symptoms of RA to diminish by depressing the inmune system.In addition to depress your immune system which is not great news, the list of side effects is so scary that you wouldnt use it if RA wouldnt be so bad.There are actually people that prefers having bent joints which is incredibly painful and damaging rather than using those medicines.My wife, at least wanted to take as few doses as possible.She started visiting Dr Ding-ming Liou on December 2019 and after the first visit she noticed an improvement. I realize that it sounds too good to be true, and I was kind of hesitant to accept it, maybe a strong placebo effect?To be honest, I dont care much, after less than 3 months she has gone from using the Humera every 2 weeks to every 4 weeks; this makes a huge difference for her.It seems that the anti inflammatory diet is the most important part of the treatment and that acupuncture acts as quick relieve and support.The diet didnt make much sense to me in the beginning, but I think it really works because my wife had tried acupuncture before and, although provided some relief, the effects didnt usually last long.I dont know if this would work for everyone or if we were just lucky, but its definitely working for my wife, so we feel very lucky for having found Dr Ding-ming Liou.Also the supporting staff, Sue and Eva are incredibly kind and professional so you really feel at home with them.On the minus side, its not clear if they are in network or not with my insurance provider.But overall I give 5 starts and would give 5 more if possible.
