I give this office a five star review. I have had to go twice in two years for separate issues and all of the doctors and staff were tremendous. Top notch experience all the way around. If you are looking for a foot and ankle office, look no further.

Ive never felt like Dr. Girvan has rushed through our appointments. His Wonderful Staff, have always been kind and friendly. This has been doctor/office and will continue to be.

My father has been seeing Dr. Girvan for a few years. Dr. Girvan is amazing. I had a misunderstanding with one of the receptionists, but was able to speak with the Office Manager to resolve my issue. I appreciate the prompt response to my phone call. Looking forward to seeing Dr. Girvan with my Dad in a couple of months.

Great practice with caring doctors and a wonderful front-desk staff. I just worry because they seem overworked and a little overwhelmed sometimes.

I saw Dr. Gervin. He was a wizard! I had a microscopic piece of glass inside my heel, from a puncture wound, and he found it! Were talking artistry here!

I went as a self pay for plantar warts I’ve had for 3 yrs now and have already been to a foot dr in Florida who did a biopsy to verify they were plantar warts. The medications and creams I’m often given cause my skin to peel an crack. The DR I saw(a lady) acted as though I did not have plantar warts but had psoriasis on my feet. She then prescribed medicines that she sent the scripts in to a ‘mail to you’ pharmacy knowing my record and our conversation is that I’m self pay so I would never get the steroid script for lack of insurance billing. Then the sample steroid she gave me in office only made the warts worse. So for all she did I could have saved my money for a Dr who was going to treat what I came for. Super frustrated

Very happy with my experience at the Fredericksburg Foot and Ankle Center. I had issues with both my feet and was able to get an early appointment. From taking my initial call for an appointment as a new patient to visiting for the first time, the whole process was extremely effortless. I was seen by Dr. Girvan who diagnosed my condition and we made a follow-up appointment to review everything after two weeks. My condition is much better now and I am very satisfied with the professionalism of all staff. I only wish all other providers could be just like this one! Highly Recommend.

I wish I could write a review for the doctor and front office staff separately. I liked that the practice was able t get me in quickly and walked me through / scheduled all the next steps. Dr. Buck is amazing. She answered all my questions and thoroughly looked at my foot and ankle. It also helps that shes a runner, so she has plenty of first hand experience.The front office though... I had a morning appointment. Came in, signed in, gave them my ID. But after 30 minutes of waiting and noticing everyone in the room was getting called back I asked if there was an issue. The receptionist wouldnt give me a straight answer when I asked if I had been skipped. I was told that I would be next, and after asking again she indirectly stated I had been skipped in error. I felt like I had to push to be taken care of. Wasting my time.

Dr. Buck was amazing, I felt like she really knew what she was talking about and she was very precise and caring towards me. I was petrified about what they were going to do or say, so having a Dr as sweet as Dr. Buck come into the room made things easier. I will definitely share my experience with everyone and if someone is looking for a podiatrist, Dr. Buck will be #1 on that list. The staff is just as kind, they really take their time and don’t rush your appointment.

Dr Girvan was friendly, efficient, and calming when my sons toenail was twisted and needed to be cut. All those qualities played a huge part in the treatment my son received. Appreciate the empathy!

They were able to get me in quickly and I didnt wait long in the lobby. The staff took me back and got an x-ray right away and were very nice Dr Buck was personable, efficient and explained things in a way that I understood.

My girl needed to have ingrown toenails removed. She was scared and not being the best patient. Dr. Buck was patient, kind and worked efficiently. She had an excellent bedside manner, even with a difficult patient. My girl is so much better for having had the procedure. During her follow-up visit she was all smiles and very thankful to Dr. Buck. Thank you Dr. Buck and staff for a great experience!

Dr. Buck and staff are just fantastic. Easy to talk to, they explained everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable walking out. Great accommodating last minute appointments, easy to get to and park. Highly recommended.

Dr. Girvan and his staff were amazing in taking care of my grandsons feet.

Dr. Girvan has a terrific manner with children and adults. He has seen my son for an ingrown toenail and my daughter for foot pain. He has also dislodged something from my daughters heel in a fashion that caused her no discomfort. Were now taking our last child to him for a birth defect with her foot. We trust him and his staff. They are all very friendly, caring, and professional. Everything hes told me has proven to be accurate and helpful.

I had a super sore toe keeping me away from the treadmill, so I made an appointment with Dr. Girvan on a recommendation from a family member. So glad I did. Got an appointment within just a few days and Dr. Girvan took care of my sore toes in a jiffy. Aftercare has been great - A week later I had questions about what things should look like and I get answers fast. 10/10

I would highly recommend Fredericksburg Foot & Ankle Center to anyone in need of foot and ankle care. Dr. Girvan, his nurses and the office staff are fantastic! I continue to be impressed with the quality of care and level of attention I have received from my initial consultation appointment through post-op recovery. During each visit, I feel that I have time to have every question/concern addressed and a personalized game plan is developed based on my needs. Additionally, Dr. Girvan responded in a timely manner when I called the on-call service outside office hours and he had me arrive first thing the following morning to address the concern.

Had great appointment with Dr. Buck! I am a runner and suffer from reoccurring shin splits and finally made it to a podiatrist. Dr. Buck was very knowledgeable and friendly and shared a lot of information with me as to the cause of the shin splints and provided specific plan for getting them cured. So thankful to finally find a podiatrist that understands that runners want to run!!

Selected this practice based on the good reviews and made an appointment. I was very disappointed to learn that my SSN was required to see a doctor. Since I balked, I was told that I could just give the last 4 numbers. Then I was told that I could pay $200 out-of-pocket to be seen without giving them the information.The only reason they want the SSN is for collections but they have no legal right to ask for this sensitive information.I left without a seeing doctor and have already made another appointment with a different provider.Response to owner: The office manager that I spoke with said that the only reason the SSN was needed for collection.

I was going to another foot and ankle specialist when my insurance changed. I was apprehensive about going to another doctor, but Dr. Buck was very kind and patient. She has a great attitude and actually to the time to listen to my concerns. Now Im finally able to take care of a problem on my toe that I have been dealing with for years and my previous doctor avoided. I cant wait to heal and get my life back! I will forever be grateful to Dr. Buck and her staff!

I love Dr. Buck and her staff. I have been having real bad pain in my feet for a few years now and Dr. Buck didn’t give up. We did tests and surgery and found I have diabetic neuropathy as well as planter fasha. Now I’m as pain free as I can get thanks to her.

Dr. Girvan initially seemed competent enough, but his demeanor turned very cold when he asked and I disclosed my medical history, whereupon he promptly rescinded his previous offer to refer me to an orthopedist. He is NOT friendly toward transgender people. If you are LGBT, I recommend going somewhere else.

Dr. Girvan took the time to understand to problem I was having with my foot, had additional test performed and went out of his way to explain the results in details, my options and his professional recommendation. His solution was not to jump in and do surgery, but give it time, use over the counter medicine and work back to my normal exercise routine, which all worked! His staff was also professional and friendly!

Dr. Girvan is an amazing doctor who asks the right questions, follows up when he said he would and did a great job in making me feel comfortable before and after surgery.

Dr. Girvan performed surgery on my broken ankle. Once the bone was healed and the cast was off he was just done. He did not communicate to me that there was a long rehab process before me. I knew that I would need physical therapy and asked him for a recommendation for a P.T. The P.T. he recommended turned out to be a factory type P.T. where aides push (really push) patients through exercises with out the P.T. even being present. In this process I was injured and it set back my recovery by months. Dr. Girvan really did not know how this physical therapy group worked. He had not done careful research. In fact instead of apologizing and stating that he would not recommend these people again he said, That just goes to show how out of shape you are. Of course good physical therapy should take into account the age and condition of the patient. Each patient is different and a physical therapist or a physical therapy assistant should be present when the patient is put through the exercises. Dr. Girvan unfortunately seems uninformed and I must say unconcerned about what is good state of the art physical therapy. His reference for physical therapy seems to be his own experience as an injured teenage athlete . What works for a teenager is not going to work for the rest of us. He doesnt seem to know one physical therapy group from another. And there is a big difference between groups. Also he doesnt make clear to the patient that there will be a long recovery process and that good P.T. really could help this. He is just sort of done. The cast is off , you can bare weight and goodbye. If he doesnt want to provide his own P.T. or to do sincere , careful and responsible research into P.T. groups then he should just tell his patients to do their own research or get a recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately I trusted Dr. Girvan completely and he let me down. He is acting irresponsibly by not helping , guiding and informing his patients who are recovering from surgery and broken bones through a high quality rehab process. It is like doing half the job by just healing the bone and leaving it at that when of course there is a long process ahead for the patient. He should have the best interests of his patients at heart and take full responsibility for their recovery. I also wonder since his recommendation for P.T. was so wrong whether his recommendation to perform surgery was correct. How do I know he wasnt wrong on both counts? He needs to be consistent and responsible across the board. He lets himself off the hook by not taking responsibility for his patients rehab and he did me great harm by this irresponsible approach.

Dr.Girvan performed surgery on a heel spur on my right foot. The visits prior to surgery, he thoroughly explained my prognosis and what the procedure would be like.He also informed me of my tendon needed repair. I am extremely particular about my doctors. Dr. Girvan did an excellent job with a very caring bedside manner. Before and after the surgery, he made me feel like I was a First Lady .After the cast was removed, Dr. Girvan did several follow up visits and expressed the same special care. The heel works like new. My left foot is now giving me trouble, Im greatful to God to find that he still practice in Fredericksburg.Ill be back! Thank you Dr. Girvan! 🙏🏽
