I’ve been to Dr. Suthar twice in recent weeks and each time I left thinking “I really like this place”. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Dr. Suthar explains what he’s doing so you can fully understand the problem and the solution. He is proactive with his referrals and both times I’ve truly felt like they care! I’m so glad my PCM referred me to him. Now I understand why he’s listed in the NOVA Top Doctors magazine for at least the last 7 years!

I have been going to Dr. Suthar off and on for 10 years having various types of injections on my back. He, Merdith Chappel and the rest of his staff are outstanding in every way, courteous, friendly and efficient. He takes time to make every visit feel like you, the patient, the most important person he sees. I would highly recommended him to everyone who suffers from pain in their back or anywhere else in their body that an injection would help.

Dr Suthar is absolutely amazing. I love the fact that as a pain management specialist he did everything BUT through some narcotics at me and wish me luck. During each procedure he talked me through it and ensured my comfort. I would HIGHLY recommend and if youre not in the area, definitely worth the drive.

Well I have been seen by P.A. Heather Brown and Dr. Suthar to help with my pain management and by far these 2 are the best in the field. I have always been treated great during my appointment times by all staff members. Once Im in the patient room, I am their main focus. You can tell that you come first in their eyes, especially from Heather Brown (you are awesome)Thank you both for taking good care of me.

Dr Suthar is by far the best doctor in his field. Ive been dealing with an issue for almost 3 years which was largely a mystery. I went to the Cleveland clinic, Johns Hopkins, and VCU and they couldnt figure it out. Within the first visit he was able to identify the possible issues and come up with a get well plan. It was a very common sense approach and low impact. His staff has all been on point and very helpful. Highly recommend!!

I have been seeing another doctor for my back. When I was referred to see the pain specialist within the practice I was scheduled quickly and with out issue. Unfortunately there was an illness in the office that created a bit of delay in getting a make up appointment. My doctors referred me to Dr. Suthar in order to get my appointment quicker than would be possible in practice. Dr. Suthar and his team were able to work me into what I could see was a very busy day. (Oh yeah, it was the day after I was referred! Amazing)Once in the exam room I figured there would be little actual exam since Dr. Suthar was mostly just doing a “favor” for my normal doctors. Man was I WRONG. Dr. Suthar gave me a detailed exam and explained a number of items relating to my injury, the procedure I was getting, and the medications I was taking. I cannot say enough about the professionalism, quality of care, and upbeat and knowledgeable service of Dr. Suthar and his entire staff.Being injured is certainly not a fun time but having great doctors like Dr. Suthar and my regular orthopedic doctors is certainly helpful to maintaining a good bearing.

The Fredericksburg area is very fortunate to have an extraordinary pain management specialist of the high caliber and compassion of Dr. Suthar. My son suffered with a complex problem for many months. Dr. Suthar used his vast experience to point out and explain new medical details that helped give us a much fuller picture of my sons condition. All of this information was delivered by Dr. Suthar as he fully answered our many questions without rushing us in any way.Dr. Suthars followup explanations and actions made us understand that he truly cared about my sons situation. Dr. Suthar went out his way to calmly provide the kind of personal attention that every patient wants to receive. It gave my son both relief and hope for the days ahead.

Dr. Suthar has a great bedside manner; unlike other Doctors in this area that seem to rush to get to next patient as if we are the herd to milk for every last dollar he actually cares. Took the time to thorough explain my injury, empathetic, very knowledgeable and professional.

I would have to say...Rude nurses, rude receptionist. I understand that in their position they see all the time, patients who are complaining. ..who hurt. Dont know what happened but once upon a time , all was good. Changing of the guard so to speak was a bad mistake. I feel that I am bother to show up or trying to make an appointment.

Good luck with these clowns. When I called the receptionist she told me I wasnt allowed to make an appointment, my referring Dr had to. Never heard that before, but before they would decide to treat me or not they would have to do a complete review of my history. So I called my DRs office and had them send my info. Not good enough for Dr. Suthar (keep in mind I was referred by my primary care Dr. who has been trying to get me to take pain management shots for years, I have avoided them instead trying physical therapy, changing my lifestyle, using a local pain killer, etc). Dr. Suthars receptionist noticed in my records that I saw a specialist Dr. once, a year ago. They called me looking for that record. I dont remember the name of the Dr, nor did my primary Dr keep the note of who it was. Because I couldnt produce the report (BTW the specialist gave me x-rays, which Dr. Suthar has) of what that specialist thought of the X-rays, Dr Suthars office wanted me to wait until I remembered who my specialist was. I decided at that point that I would find a specialist who could read x-rays, not one who appears to exist only to write prescriptions.

I have been seen in this office multiple times for the same issue. Today, I tried to schedule an appointment, as an existing patient, for back pain that I have been treated for before and they cant see me until December!! Absolutely INSANE!! If you have a 2 month wait for existing patients then maybe you should take on less patients!! When asked what I should do between now and then they told me to go to the ER! WTH is the ER going to do, dope me up on pain meds for 2 months? Not happening. The healthcare system is the biggest joke eve ever dealt with!
