I see that there were a lot of negative reviews. It seems there were different doctors or staff there maybe before. We have been going to see Dr. Campbell (current doctor on staff there) since January. She is fantastic. Yes, there are some front office staff that are more people-friendly than others. But honestly, I dont deal with them much. The people who I speak to in order to make an appointment over the phone are super. The nursing staff are fantastic. I cannot say enough about how much Dr. Campbell is a terrific fit for our whole family. It is very important to us to have our whole family see the same physician, so she sees my 2 kids as well as my husband and I. She has a great demeanor and explains things at each persons level. She also makes small jokes to put my nervous ones at ease. All in all it has been a terrific experience. For those who used to go in the past and switched to a different MW doctor location, you might want to come back and give Dr. Campbell a try.

So in all fairness I have to say that Erin, who runs the walk-in clinic, is fantastic. Except for one appointment three or four years ago shes the only practitioner that Ive ever actually been able to see at this practice though. I have been trying to schedule a physical appointment for several health problems since June of this year, and it has now been canceled four times. This last time I was told that I should have gotten a voicemail, but the only voicemail I got was their automatic system confirming the appointment for me. So I showed up what I expected would finally be my appointment only to be told that of course I would not be able to finally see a doctor after 6 months. Theres no point trying to go here because youll never get to see a doctor. Please dont waste your time.

Been coming to RFP for a few years with a family of 6. Most of us go to Dr. Tran up on Garrisonville Rd. However, I have had to schedule the one down at Chatham Square with Grillo. Grillo is great and so are most of the staff. Dorothy however, gave smart and condescending remarks being I did not bring my insurance card to the visit. She went on to scold me that I have to bring it to every visit.Just so all are aware at the new mary washington group at Chatham Square..some of us are quite used to the electronic method where we do not need the front desk to check in and after this visit I was thanking God that there is a way to bypass rude front desk associates like Dorothy!Shout out to Will on Garrisonville rd for outstanding service all of the time!I will probably seek to transfer services to garrisonvillr rd as I was really offended by her behavior. Also sat and waited 45 minutes past appointment time while some serviceman with his mask around his neck, breathing heavily, moved a fridge from the back of the office through the waiting room. Everyone has the right to do their job but this was really unnerving being we are in a pandemic. I am at this point I guess used to waiting in my car until called in. Really awful experience all around.

I love my Family Nurse Practitioner there. She is great and spends time answering my questions. She is patient and kind. I really appreciate how much she seems to care about my health and well being. What I dont care for is the customer service that I get on the phone when calling in to inquire. I get a sense of rudeness and that it is a hassle to deal with me from the person that answers. Its very frustrating because I wish that the same care that I get from the doctor is the same case that should be given from start to finish. I can tell you thats not the case. I feel there is a lack on compassion that should be there from whoever answers the phone at a doctors office. The nurse practitioner I see there though, I give ten stars!

My experience with this practice is the worst I’ve ever experienced. From the moment I walked in to have a physical, the receptionist asked if I could leave a urine sample, said “you have a balance, see the billing department before doing so”.When I walked through the door to the billing department, I was greeted by a women who pulled up my account, told of an outstanding balance for over 80.00 for a flu shot, and tetanus shot that was told to me Medicare would cover. They didn’t and when the “manager” chimed in, I explained Medicare told me to pass a message to resubmit with a modifier and she said “for you, no”.I walked out, asked to speak to the manager and explained the situation. Told again to leave a urine sample. Left one in the bathroom. Saw the NP, Erin Stewart, who seemed inherently cold. Gave my history and physical, and she suggested Wellbutrin and then proceeded with a Pap smear. I wondered where the EKG, and usual blood work, CBC, Chem Panel, etc... nothing. Two weeks later, I had to call for results. The urine was never processed. (No explanation why) The billing department never resubmitted a modifier for the procedure code. Still outstanding balance. Told pap was normal. End of communication. The manager was again contacted and the flu shot, and tetanus was taken off bill due to “office error”. (Because I was told it was covered by Medicare) (Billed incorrectly)Two months later I get a past due notice from Lab Corp for 179.82 for HPV Test added to pap. I’m a 54 yr. old single, low risk individual and I didn’t consent addition add on to a Well Women’s pap exam. I’ve been fighting it since November 2019. Medicare finally opened a fraudulent billing complaint against Rappahannock Family Practice.Fast forward to June 2020. In all that history and physical questions in person and over the phone, I had to schedule an appointment (170.00) to get migraine medication. Upon arrival they were already behind, past my appointment time, and left me and another patient standing outside. Once inside and put in exam room, vitals taken, NP walks in asks why I’m there, and tell her you wouldn’t write a script without a 200.00 appointment. Immediately goes into offensive responses, even stating We don’t need consent to add a 179.82 test to a consented Pap test. If you want it paid for you do. Medicare has finally opened a fraudulent billing complaint since last November. “You seem very angry” she says. You think?! You’ve done nothing right since I’ve been coming here. And you don’t do COVID 19 antibodies testing, I told. No response. I need to go to work, you’re behind, I need my script and are you giving refills? No she replied. “you need to see a neurologist”. Should have told me that before telling me to come here.Never going back.Run, don’t walk...... to ANY OTHER PRACTICE.

Great providers! Not so hot office staff - they cancelled on me twice in two weeks with not so much as an apology. (Once was only one day in advance!) They sent me texts and emails confirming my appointments, yet they had just cancelled them a couple days ago, so I had to call and clarify all that. The NPs that I have seen have been fabulous, but if you want to see them you have to put up with the office staffs shenanigans--so its kind of a gamble.

Dr. Alexander is wonderful but the customer service of the staff leaves a little to be desired. I would not allow Ellen to answer the phone anymore until her attitude improves. But please dont let the staff deter you from going in to see a great doctor who is kind and thoughtful

I agree with the others about Ellen. She is rude more often than not. I really loved it when I started going but I think Jennifer W. maybe got overloaded with patients and the follow-up care started to dwindle. They have since added Dr. Alexander and she seems nice. I would still recommend it to others but Ellen should definitely be reprimanded

Doctors are good but the billing department is very bad. I have been going to the group of doctors for over 11 years. I showed up at the facility only to be refused due to a said balance from Jan 2015 that went to collections. I never received any bill from them or a collections office. They provided me with a billing statement but it did not reflect her claim, but the lady from billing insisted she was correct, I told her that the documentation didnt reflect that, she stated, that is what you owe. Turns out these claims are for a co-pay which are collected before you even see the doctor. I have went to the doctors at this facility 9 or 10 times minimum over the last 3 years, and nobody ever mentioned any balance until now. This kind of service has made me realize, it is time to find a new doctor.

Called their man office, told them I️ was a new patient trying to get an appointment, they told me they were booked but I️ should go to their walk in clinic, so I️ drive 45 minutes to the clinic, only to be refused service since I️ was not an established patient. Ridiculous, would give zero stars if it was possible.

After visits, no check in from doctors. Called every month to fill prescriptions and was never reminded of small balance owed. Was kicked out of the practice and am being sued for small balance that I wouldnt have had a problem paying. Bad customer service.
