Dr. Esway is a great orthopedic doctor. Ive had ankle issues for over a year and he really took the time to go over my injury and why I was having the issues that Im having. He has set up a treatment plan for me, as well ,as explained in great detail, what to expect as I recover. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of his receptionist/nurse that works in his office, but shes amazing as well. I really appreciate the kind and professional way they treat their patients. I would recommend his office to anyone and everyone that may need an orthopedic doctor.

Great Orthopedic Doctor - Ive had knee problems since I was a young kid. Now as a 50-something trying to stay active, he took the time to explain the types of exercise I needed to do to strengthen my knees and the types to avoid. He was very encouraging and gave very good, basic information to help me stay active and healthy. I came away feeling more in control with the health of my knees.

Awesome bedside manner. He took time to explain everything to my daughter and even showed and explained her MRI results and images from surgery. Her office staff was kind and attentive as well. I would recommend him to everyone and anyone looking for and orthopedic doctor.

Dr. Esway and his assistant Susan took great care of our normally very shy to new situations, three-year-old. We didnt have to wait. Plenty of time was given for discussion. They were warm, friendly and informative. It didnt hurt the news delivered was excellent. Our three-year-old was quite happy to be back on the go! Thanks for a great visit!

Dr. Esway took the time to listen and ask questions. His complete focus is on what he can do to help you and NOT how fast he can see you and move on to the next patient. He was willing to research my issue until he found a resolution. His staff was friendly and very helpful. They all went above and beyond to help me. I highly recommend. Thank you!

Dr. Esway was the best doctor I have ever had. He went straight to the problem and listened as I explained what had happened and what was going on. He never found an alternate explanation to dismay my pain, and was quick and effective to deciding treatment. I had surgery on my ankle late February, and its early May and I am walking freely and completely healed! I cannot thank Dr. Esway and Susan for answering all my questions and being with me along the way.

I could not have asked for better care for my injuries! When I was injured I was without hope and Dr. Esway restored that hope. His skills mended my foot back to prior function. He took his time with me like a doctor should. Laura and Susan really helped with the process as well. They are a wonderful team and would recommend them to anyone!

As patients we do have choices and want to be sure we are finding the best and competent providers for our care. My husband is having a great experience with Dr. Jan-Eric Esway. He preformed surgery on his calcaneus fracture and this was his first time having any kind of surgery. Dr. Esway explained everything he was going to do and what the expected outcome would be. He has always taken time to explain the next steps of care and what the process will be to a full recovery. His staff has always been kind and very accommodating .One question I would ask in requesting a referral for a physician is would you send your mother to them and my answer would be YES!

I am a former competitive long distance runner and two time Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier. I run now for enjoyment and to maintain good health and an active lifestyle. This year has been extremely frustrating because of multiple injuries that have severely impacted the quality of my life.I have seen many, many doctors over the past few decades and Dr. Esway has been a pleasant surprise! All of my previous doctors simply told me not to run and take anti-inflammatory and pain medications. Dr. Esway spent quality time with me asking me many different questions to determine the root cause of my problems. In less than one hour he figured out my back was curved (scoliosis) and that I had a leg length discrepancy which was causing weaknesses on one side of my body.Dr. Esway explained that all of my current and previous injuries are related and discussed options to rehabilitate and manage the problems moving forward. For the first time in 30 years I felt like I was part of the process and treated like a real person. I was also extremely confident that we had co-developed a sound action plan for me to recover from the latest injuries and maintain an active and high quality lifestyle moving forward. Dr. Esway has a motto patients always come first and I cannot thank him enough for helping me accomplish my goals!

As unfortunate as it is to break a leg, its a blessing to have had Dr. Esway as my orthopedic surgeon. I broke my ankle doing a spartan race and went to the Spotsylvania ER. I was referred to another physician, but a friend who works for the hospital recommended I try to see Dr. Esway, as he specialized in sports-related ankle injuries. Throughout the initial visit, he wanted to make sure that I was not in pain and that I understood the necessity of surgical repair. I joined a facebook group for people with broken ankles/legs and in comparing my experience to the experiences oh fellow broken ankle club members, I feel that the care and medical advice I received were top notch! Dr. Esway seemed to be very up to date in the most recent medical advances in surgical repair.If you are ever in need of an orthopedic doctor, Dr. Esway is awesome!
