At this time my opinion of Shady Grove Fertility is I would and would not recommend Shady Grove depending on your situation.My wife and I compared different options both domestically and internationally. We decided on Shady Grove due to location, logistics and price. At the time I was a heathy 33 year old with a 29 Year old Wife. For Insurance Federal Blue Cross Blue Shield with diagnostic coverage only!Pros*Delivered one healthy baby girl*Office personal and nurses were polite and friendly.*Facility and LocationCon* Cost excess of 25k* All money up front with no exception. I have a huge problem with this due to not incentivizing work and leaves minor bargaining for less than satisfactory results.*ZERO DISCOUNT FOR CASH,CHECK OR CERTIFIED CHECK. Company rather use credit card and be hit with a fee. Since the Grove prefers credit card use one that allows you to get the points to redeem for gift cards.* Dont believe their odds of fertility. My wife and I were almost guaranteed to have more than viable embryo for freezing. We were lucky to have one make it all the way through. In hindsight with their odds cut their rates in half and call it a day.*None of the diagnostic fees go towards the total cost of the procedure .*Clients are expected to pay for copayments for doctors appointments.*If purchased extra medication dont be afraid to argue and challenge them on how much the medication cost. The IVF medication cost ranges from several hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars that the insurance company will NOT cover.*Doctors bedside manors were lacking.

I went here for local monitoring and the entire staff was great! Super sweet, welcoming, got me in quickly and treated me like I was a full patient with them. I would highly recommend them!

I am very embarrassed and frustrated that after calling 3 weeks ago to set up an appointment for this morning, the front desk woman tells me that they can not process, take in or start me as a new patient because i did not have an order from my wifes OBGYN. When I originally made the appointment, I was asked for some basic information and told that I needed to stop in and pick up a semen collection kit and too bring it in at the appointment time. No mention of an order would be needed. Instead when i did came in, with others in the waiting room, me standing there with my collection, she tells me that I have to have the order and they can not take in the specimen. After trying to explain that I knew nothing about an order nor was told about it when setting up the appointment, she just stated that she and the other girl would have not said anything. There was no offer to contact my wifes Dr and have them fax over an order or anything. She walked me to the back room and pointed to a Bio dispense can and said i could toss my specimen out. For a place that is meant to be about family and help parents or parents who are trying to conceive, this place did not make me feel welcome and instead made me feel very embarrassed. This is already a hard situation for us trying to find out if we can even have a baby and before I am even seen by an actual Dr I am treated like this. Very disappointed. I will be letting others know to include my wifes Dr.

Shady Grove Fertility deserves 5 stars plus. My main location was Fredericksburg VA. Dr. Durso is my doctor and I couldnt be happier with the treatment I recieved from her and her team there! Everyone here is exceptionally friendly, professional and positive! I previously went to Washington Fertility and let me say please never find yourself walking through their door. If you want to have a baby go to Shady Grove Fertility! You will find yourself in true baby making hands that care about you and your family!! The whole process through Shady Grove was perfect, smooth and top notch professional and leading in all lab procedures as well!! We went through 1 IVF process with Shady Grove and Im pregnant! Please if your in need of fertility treatment go to Shady Grove first! If your currently somewhere else I know how hard it can be to make the decision to leave and try another fertility place but just do ut!! If nothing else but to have a consultation with them, you will not regret it. You will find yourself feeling confident and at ease about your fertility troubles and soon you will have the wonderful bundle of joy that you long for!
