Our family switched to UMFS after previously fostering through the state. We were able to complete the majority of the approval process, including the training classes, online and at our own pace. The staff at UMFS has truly gone above and beyond to support our family and the children placed in our home. They have demonstrated that they are passionate about their work and genuinely care about the families and children that they serve. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone that is considering fostering or adopting.

I worked as a Contact Home Study Author. Not working often, only when needed, I had only worked on a few cases. I had never experienced concerns and felt supported and respected, until my last contracted case.I am not sure what occurred but I was suddenly questioned on the content provided by the potential family that was interviewed and felt discredited by my supervisor and other individuals whom I have very rare contact with.I kindly separated myself and was respectful regarding my decision. I received nothing more than “well wishes”.This is very disheartening, as I felt very different before this last case and am at a loss for what occurred. I would be mindful looking for work with UMFS and feeling a part of a work community of having your peers be open to constructive feedback with you. I’ve never felt more excluded and invalidated. Very disappointed.
