BP 188/100 and they still wont call in my refill for my meds after 4 days of calling. The receptionist just tells me that they will put a note in. My pharmacy has even faxed and called, still no refill. Put a note in must mean put it in the trash can.Another day, no meds. Current bp 172/107. Not to worry, the receptionist assured me she put a note in

The Fredericksburg Christian Medical Center, under the direction of Dr. Stinar, has been treating my wife for several years for her advanced stage Parkinson’s disease. Although she is also cared for through home health, Dr. Stinar always responds to any calls from the home health nurse in a timely manner and is understanding and responsive of the urgency of our calls. He is always very compassionate and patient when meeting with us. He provides quality care through his kindness, professionalism and knowledge. Additionally, his staff members are always friendly and work diligently to take care of the needs of my wife and I whenever we call the office.

If you care about getting excellent care, in a reasonable amount of time, this doctor’s office is not for you. Their staff is not on the same page communication-wise at all, the wait times at appointments are 1 to 1.5 hours, several times I have been and they have wrong information for me and what I’m being seen for, and they are in no rush to get your referrals to the appropriate specialists. I have been waiting over 2 weeks to get a referral to a specialist to get a biopsy. Their coordinator was out for a week, and they have no back up plan. So I, and countless others, have not been able to get the care we need due to their lack of staffing and all around competence. I’ve called almost daily and they just refuse to get it ready, or come up with a plan, and are in no rush to do so - so, as a patient, you basically have to constantly advocate for yourself. It’s exhausting. I am switching practices ASAP, I encourage others to do the same, or don’t even step foot in here if your health is a priority. The time I have spent with them is beyond frustrating. A place that calls themselves a Christian practice should be giving excellent care, and unfortunately, they are the worst.

Thank you soo much for help to all the staff there. They are so kind they give you health care that you need , they treat you like human thanks for receptionist and doctors and nurses also they even help with food pantry for people who ask for.

I always have an excellent experience with them. Their staff is awesome and very caring.

FCHC has been the primary healthcare provider for my toddler for about 1 year now. We dont have insurance still so we are through the uninsured program and I am so grateful for all the care we have recieved from them. On occasion there has been a delay in being seen but generally we are admitted pretty close to the appointment time. I have also been able to do same day appointments when stuff pops up suddenly. I am very happy with all the doctors and staff weve interacted with and appreciate all their hard work!

100% dissapointment. I have had multiple bad experiences. Now I have a family member who has been seen in that office for years who was laid off end of August therefore lost health insurance. Now he had just done blood work earlier that same month. So he could not do his follow up apt to go over his labs, he called office and explained this. He is working a contract to hire job now so still no benefits, he called because he is a diabetic and needed a refill on meds. They did 1 refill so a month, called back this month explained again the circumstances. The office is refusing his diabetic medications because he cannot afford an office visit of several hundred dollars but what they do know is he has been a patient for years and has taken the same meds. Yes blood work is essential in giving correct amounts but he has taken the same dose for years never been changed . So for him to just plain stop the medication is a dangerous game. I can not express my level of dissapointment and concern. They claim to be Christian but I feel that is more of a cover up than anything else. He has always had insurance until this recent event and as I said been seen there for years I can not believe they cant offer a discount for self pay or anything to help so he can get his medication after all this is temporary until he goes from contract to permanent hire and can get insurance again. It makes me sick, Im so worried over this.

The drs are good but the receptionists are so bad it is unbearable.

These people are NOT Christians and they shouldnt be trusted with anyones life. My boyfriend made an appointment for this morning to renew his insulin prescription. When he arrived, he was told he owed over $200 for a previous deductible that went to collections and he would not be seen until that was paid. First of all, he didnt have a deductible with his previous insurance policy. Second, why wasnt this mentioned when he made the appointment over a week ago? And finally, how can a Christian medical center refuse to see a patient who will DIE without their medication?! The people he spoke to didnt seem to care at all. Hes trying to make arrangements to see another doctor in the area before he runs out of insulin, which means more time off from work, more stress, and less insulin to get him through. Find a doctors office that cares if you live or die. This one does not.

Terribly incompetent office staff. Dr. Powell would not be pleased with the current state of affairs and Dr. Stinar needs to do something to change the culture or pass it along to someone that will.

They are very bad in the service my appointment was at 1:30 am they attended me 2:20 to hold apoiment if they do not respect the patients time I do not recommend this clinic
