My experience was fantastic My doctor is the best! He was patient with me, explained everything so I understood. The office staff courteous and obviously knowledgeable, made check in very easy. The nursing/pa staff couldn’t be better.Don’t hesitate to see these great doctors.

Its been a really good experience so far. They have the softest touch when installing an I.V. in your arm. Ive never felt the sting of one yet. Great place good people.

I like the service I received from the NP. But I would like to see my doctor at the most once a year. I feel as though I am being taken for granted. After my March 2022 appointment if nothing changes, I will find another Doctor. I am grateful that I am still alive after 5 yrs but maybe it is time to move-on. I was disappointed and bothered by not seeing my doctor because I like him and his encouragement. His encouragement got me through cancer.

Mickey at the front desk and carol with the ultrasound were wonderful I got lost and was a little late they were so patient with me. what a great staff. I was impressed. The setting was beautiful and put me at ease. Everyone was friendly and thorough. When the medical technician had trouble doing a blood draw, she humbly asked for assistance from a colleague, rather than sticking me multiple times. I removed one star because of an error that caused me to come back in for another blood draw. However, they worked me in and Uniqua was personable, professional and gracious in her handling of the situation. If needed, I would get care from them again without hesitation.

Everyone Ive worked with is personable and efficient in their care. Ive had several iron infusions at this practice. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing...floor to ceiling windows with a nice view of trees outside. Dr. Maurer spent some time explaining my condition and how the treatment works and helps. Im very pleased with the care I receive at this practice!

Team at Stafford location was fast and efficient as usual. Sheila Gent was clear and thorough when answering any queries asked. Very short wait times for service.

First off, the doctor I saw was great. He listened to my concerns and was confident of my diagnosis. No issues there.Now for the bad: I spent a good 15-20 minutes filling out their paperwork online 3 days before my appointment. When I get there, they don’t have it so I have to fill it all out again.After seeing the doctor, the receptionist takes forever to find me an appointment. They want to see me after a week but they don’t have appointments available. Finally they find me something but it is obvious they don’t know how to use the system. I get blood drawn. 3 days later I get called back to get more blood drawn because they didn’t get enough.At my second appointment they charge my copay of $40 and want to draw more blood because they didn’t get enough (again). I can’t even see the provider because there are no results to discuss. I ask for a refund (receptionist was polite and professional, and was able to process it).They want me to come back after the results are available (3 weeks). Why didn’t they ask me to come in and get blood drawn sooner and cancel this pointless appointment?Now I have to come back a month later. Meanwhile, I don’t have a proper blood analysis to confirm my diagnosis.This is probably the most unorganized doctors office I’ve ever been to. If the doctors weren’t so good I would go elsewhere.

Everyone there from front desk to back workers to doctors are so caring and understanding. A group of down to earth loving caring individuals.

The staff is terrific. When I went to my appointment they were timely and efficient. No unnecessary drama or anything like that The people seem mature enough and just saw me for my appointment. Just a good appointment that did not take too long, and when I asked for a print out of the info the nurse was talking scv bout, she just gave it to me.

From the first moment I walked into Hematology-Oncology Associates in Fredericksburg, I was treated to the very best care. Every one from the receptionist, to the intake nurses, to the doctors and infusion nurses took time, during a most stressful time in my life, to explain the processes and procedures to come. When I found myself in the hospital, I was visited by the on-call doctor in the practice who was not my original doctor. He was wonderful and again took time to explain what was happening and what would probably happen going forward! The Infusion Nurses on Pods 5&6 worked so well together that I felt like they were all in charge of my care! If I had to get cancer, Im so glad I found Hematology-Oncology. They literally are life savers!

For a medical organization this is by far one of the most professional and caring places I have ever been in my 76 years. The Drs, Nurses and office staff bend over backwards to try and accommodate everyones schedule and time.Great place and team. I only wish I didnt need them.

I moved from Arkansas to Fredericksburg, Virginia, a year ago and the first task I did was to look for an oncologist that I would feel comfortable and trust. I researched all practices in Fredericksburg extensively and I followed my gut and contacted Dr. Menachery of Hematology-Oncology Associates. His practice did not disappoint. He listened to my concerns as a breast cancer patient and answered all my questions and made me feel at ease the entire time. His staff are all very helpful, particularly his Nurse Practitioner Linda. She is very gracious, helpful, and has a very calming personality. I highly recommend the practice if you want a top notch and knowledgeable oncology medical team to guide you in your battle with cancer.

The doctors are great and the staff is wonderful and caring. My usual nurses Melissa, Shimika and Amanda are absolutely fantastic. Great positive attitude and joyful heart.

I absolutely love Dr. Boonie Moore. When my original hematologist, Dr. Leroy Eddie retired, and I needed to find another doctor and went to the webpage at Hematology Associated of Fredericksburg, I was drawn to Dr. Moore bio where she said her family was important to her and she strives to treat her patients like her family. That resonated with me because I have never had a doctor who I felt treated me like that. So I became her patient. She is awesome, outstanding and very knowleadgeable, she advises me on whole body health. The best to you and your family Dr Moore.

Have been going here for several months for chemotherapy. I know its thier job to make you feel special but this group of people go beyond that. I usually am taking care of by Traci and Jen which are the most wonderful 2 young ladies to be in the care of. Jen is pretty much my regular specialist and she is so pleasant and warm hearted. Always asking if there is anything she can do, above her job expectations. Totally an asset to have as an employee. No one wants to hear the words you have cancer.. I was referred to Dr. Bonny Moore from another doctor. That referral was a God send! Dr. Moore and her nursing staff were very caring and compassionate during the course of my chemo treatments. The nurses always greeted me with a smile on each of my visits and offered words of encouragement that helped get me through it all. I can not thank Dr. Moore and her staff enough for their care during my cancer treatment! I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Moore!!

Dr. Menachery has been my oncologist since 2014. He, along with Linda Hazelgren and the entire staff have been wonderful. What my family appreciates about Dr. Menachery is that he spends the time talk to us about my cancer, the research, and explain the treatment course. Thanks, HOAF!!

Dr Simmons is awesome. She is very thorough and kind. I had been having issues that other doctors had not taken the time to explore. My white blood cell count was high. She listened to me and my symptoms. Ordered abdominal ultrasound and I had gallstones. I had my gallbladder removed and now I am doing much better. Great doctor!

What can you say about a team that saved your life? I had a very rare cancer and Doctor Whitehurst researched heavily different treatments and sought out multiple additional expert opinions from several different approaches. He clearly explained every option and gave me great control in the decision making process. The entire practice is dedicated to making an awful experience more bearable. The simple caring touches and the emotional support given from the nurses and support staff is incredible. My favorite nurse Morgan took such good care of me during my initial chemo visit, that it gave me the strength to face the next 9 months. If your life depends on choosing a doctor and a practice, this is where you want to be.

This was a kind, compassionate place to be during a very difficult time. Dr. Bonnie Moore always listened and modified the procedures when she felt it was necessary after hearing my concerns. The entire group worked efficiently by schedule. I felt very fortunate to have been directed here by Dr. Ma. Last, but not least, the facility itself was clean, spacious, & relaxing with large windows overlooking the woods. Fredericksburg is fortunate to have such a facility.

Exceptional experience. The Doctors and staff at Hematology-Oncology are first rate. They employ the latest techniques and technologies. I had an extensive read out of my blood work within minutes of the Nurse who drew my blood. Dr. Maurer is one of the finest individuals and medical professionals that a patient could have. Thanks to all of these folks who take so good care of me.

I started seeing Lisa Simmons on the15th of June. I saw her next on the 22nd and the 29th. The 22ndd and the 29th, were both Iron Infusions. Both times, I asked, What will be my co-pay for these ? Do not worry, I was told. Each time, I offered to make some payment toward it, and was told, do not worry about it. When I finally received a bill, I told them I could not possibly pay for it by the date they wanted it. Again I was told, Do not worrry about it. I wound up having a heart valve replacement, at Mary Washington Hospital on August the 11th. I had to stay for 2 days. For a Co-pay of $590. Which wiped out most of my savings. The service that I received from HOAF, was great, the staff was very caring and kind. I wish that they had been more helpful with my billing though. I was unable to pay them in August, but since then I have made 2 large payments in September. I will pay the balance in October. Since they or their billing department, deal with these things every day, I feel that they could have given me a estimate, of what my co pay would be or where to call for an estimate. It sort of blind sided me. But the care they gave me was very good. I might need more transfusions, but I will try to save the money for it before I agree to receive another Iron Infusion.

Dr. Vaughn is very patient and takes time to talk with me one to one. Doesnt seem rushed to get to his next appointment, and was very helpful with understanding my radiology results. He was also supportive of my treatment choices. Very comfortable atmosphere, a little bit of wait time but not too bad.

After my Esophagectomy I needed to have 4 rounds of chemo. Dr. Vaughn was outstanding. He answered all of our questions, we didn’t feel rushed and he was very friendly and informative. The staff is just out of the world fantastic, the facilities are always clean and it’s an awesome setting. While I was receiving my chemo treatments my wife was able to be right by my side. My recovery is going great. Many, many thanks to Dr. Vaughn and his staff!

I have been very, very pleased with my care. The healthcare professionals have been extremely helpful and supportive on my journey to health. The nurses have educated me and have allowed me to educate them as we discover treatment options. Kudos to the entire staff. None have treated me better. I feel very lucky to have found all of you.

Due to the nature of my condition, I have blood drawn and analyzed once a year. I arrived at my appointment early was seen as soon as they were able to draw blood. Dr. Menachery reviewed the results with me and I was on my way. Overall an excellent experience.

HOAF is amazing! Dr. Vaughn, Sheila, Rebekah, Ashley and the gentleman up front (whose name escapes me) are all ready and willing to help. They use a portal and are so responsive. They are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They will never know how grateful my family is for helping my father.

There was a mix up of dates so they were able to work me in to get my injection anyway. I appreciated their making it work. They also rescheduled my appointment with the PA for a later date. They were pleasant and caring in spite of the confusion. Thanks to all.

Had my first visit with Dr Whitehurst based on a referral. Both my wife and I found the practice and staff outstanding. We were the center of attention, every need was addressed and every question thoroughly answered. We were not rushed out of the door.

I’d give it less stars if I could. From day one, which was even before I got my grandfather in to meet with anyone, it was a total nightmare. Unbelievable how we were treated with total rudeness, dismissiveness, and condescension by most of the staff there. And don’t get me started on how many times we could’ve filed lawsuits against them for SO many different things. It’s amazing to me that they’re in business at all! The one relatively decent experience we had was when I was FINALLY able to speak with an actual doctor after everything was far too late anyway. I can’t remember his name, but he was polite and genuine, sounded sincere, and actually listened to my concerns. Thank you doctor whoever. The rest of the experience was pure garbage.

I was referred here by my hematologist, in Manassas, after I moved to Fredericksburg. Going to any Dr. is not usually something anyone looks forward to. However, I have been very happy being a patient here. I have genetic hemochromatosis-(iron overload.) Its never going away. All we can do is keep tabs on it, and keep it under control. From the very first visit, I felt welcomed, and confident in the staff. They are polite, caring, and professional. Dr. Whitehurst, and his PA, Krista Hobbs are also very caring. They take their time, listen to any questions or concerns I have, and explain the answers to me in terms I can understand. I feel confident that I know whats going on with my condition, when I leave. The office staff, and the people at the lab are friendly, prompt, and also answer any questions I have. They have been helpful in keeping me healthy. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of Hematology-Oncology for the past year. i was referred by my PCP of 20 years when a rare protein showed up on bloodwork. I was fortunate to have gotten Dr. Whitehurst. Due diligence on his part is a GROSS UNDERSTATEMENT. He has done everything medically available to manage my hematologic medical issue. My only regret is that, due to medical problems, I have decided to sell my home in order to move closer to my family in Pittsburgh, PA. Unfortunately, I cannot take Hematology-Oncology with me. I doubt I will be able to find such a competent and caring hematologist there but here is hoping.
