I dont usually pamper myself due to me being a busy mom. But I love Ulta and any chance I get to go its always fun. This season of our lives has been very challenging at times but we find ways. Ordering online and store pickup isnt very social but this staff at this location is very friendly. My son and I picked up my birthday gifts that were chosen online at this store as soon as we opened the door we were greeted by two friendly staff. I love all the products I received and very thankful for such kind spirited hard workers who go above and beyond.

Everyone at this location was helpful, kind, and patient, no one judged me for not knowing basics for choosing foundation. This location was wonderful! Thank you to the lovely ladies who helped me out!

I made an online purchase and came in the store to pick it up. I decided that I wanted to purchase a few more items. I was in the fragrances and walked around several times and tried 3 scents. I was never acknowledged or asked if I needed help. Other customers came into the section and were created. I went to return my online order but the gentleman that was helping me at the register was extremely nice which is why this is reviving a 3 star instead of a 1 star rating. I literally purchased several more items being in the store today but I am truly disheartened by the lack of customer service provided by some of the workers.

Jennifer with the blonde hair and cheetah print shirt tried to force us into a membership without even asking, after we said no at least five times, she asked for the phone number of the guest next to us and used our purchase to give her rewards without our consent. I’m sure the management is pressuring employees into getting more memberships but this method is not working. I felt very uncomfortable and don’t plan to return.

I was ignored and passed off when I needed assistance and even asked fir it. I only gave 3 stars because the young (African American) lady volunteered to help and was very helpful and polite. The rest of them need training.

Very satisfied with the service provided on fathers day. Every employee I encountered was pleasant and ready to help me with what I needed. I got my hair dyed and cut. Great job! Will be back.

Store is very nice . Shelves are stocked, staff is very helpful in finding specific items . The staff at cash registers need attitude adjustments. Very snooty and condescending especially the little non-white girl . I had the displeasure of being attended by her twice and both times had an attitude which left a distaste . I do NOT need an account or free birthday gifts or coupons or emails. And it is MY prerogative NOT to sign up and that is OK. I am not obligated to sign up for anything.. it does not make me a bad person or be demeaned. But both times she insists and when I refuse her body English changed to rude and standoffish. She just stopped responding . Just stood there staring daggers. I picked up my stuff and left. Wont be shopping here anymore .Plenty more stores around .

Some of the employees definitely act entitled and kinda b****y, but I would say 90% are super nice and knowledgeable.

I made an appointment over a week ago for a brow wax and tint. When I called to confirm the appointment I was told it would have to be moved to another day. So I was fine with that I confirmed the appointment with her. Today I show up for my appointment and no one can even find it. Turns out it was canceled but not rescheduled like they said. I took time off work to make the appointment. Really disappointed, Ive been looking forward to this for a while.

Go somewhere else...they make appointments and dont keep them and dont bother calling to inform you. This has happened to us numerous times. Not a good way to do business!

Busy stocking, one person asked to help as you walk in but hard to get help past that. Checkout was seamless!

We arrive 20 minutes before closing and I believe it was the manager or supervisor can, didnt ask her name but she had keys to the store. And she was very kind and took her time to show us the best products and gave us advice for my girlfriend about skin care. The entire time we were there she helped us with all our needs. We love this location and this store. It was a great experience.

They have a lot of cosmetic brands. Premium brands are usually not covered by the coupons. They have perfumes, hair, nail, bath, skin,lips, eyes, brushes and trainers and dryers, cosmetics plus a salon. They carry their own line in all areas. They also carry a big inventory of the regular over-the-counter related items. Service not so good. Small staff and I dont think they really HELP people just direct them to an area of interest. So 3 stars. Parking lot. Baskets for merchandise. Well lighted for trying on makeup. Never used the restroom there so its a toss-up.

I made a terrible mistake for my life and got the store credit card, but its been enormously helpful at the same time.The employees are always tremendously helpful and willing to look into things for me, or even offer to ship things to my home if I need them. A good number of the employees are knowledgeable in makeup outside of typical... like... Intagram stuff, which is helpful.I think my only REAL complaint comes from having had questions in the past about the credit card, but the employees were not equipped with the knowledge about the card to help me out.Otherwise, its always a good experience!

I have been going to the brow bar at this location for about 2 years. Heather is who I regularly see. She is absolutely amazing. When I first started coming here my brows were different shapes and different in thickness. Heather has helped them even out. I messed them up plucking them so it will be a couple more sessions before they will be normal again. Im so grateful. I have people always asking if they are mine (which they are mine). When I leave her chair I always feel better about myself. Other than that everyone is very nice. The store is always clean and well organized. Overall experience with the Fredericksburg location is great.

I just want to Thank Felicia for doing my hair, right from the beginning she had such an upbeat personality. My hair was a disaster and I needed a salon specialist to work miracles. Felicia, is your go to girl she not only handled this 3.5 hour project like a true champion she gave me the look I was really trying to go for. She has the most amazing energy talks and engages everyone around her and still manages to make my disasterous mess turn out phenomenal! I almost cried! I went to Ulta yesterday for an item that is currently not in stock at this time and instead of letting me leave not happy, Jonathan stepped in and took wonderful care of me. He made some foundation recommendations, to include trying several colors until we found a perfect match!!! What a wonderful young man. A very patient and kind young man!!! I will definitely be going back and also recommending my friends to go pay Jonathan a visit!!!

Scheduled a hair appointment a week in advance with Ashley. Requested off from work and hired a babysitter for the planned day and all. She was over half an hour late and I had to cancel. Management treated me like I was the ridiculous one and still expected me to wait and pay full price. If I could give negative stars I would. This was all that I was looking forward to. For nothing. Dont go here.

They had what my wife needed. A couple employees walked by us without saying a word or even looking at us. So know exactly what you are looking for when you go here and dont expect customer service. Has a very up-tight, bougie feel to it. They have a very large selection of stuff though. So Id say I liked it.

Went in for a bayalage and my hair was completely ruined. I had spots in the back of my head. She let me walk out without saying anything to me about the havoc she had done to my hair. My stylist was Lisa.

Got hair and makeup done for my nieces wedding. Have the Lancome lady do your makeup though the cosmetologists at the salon are not that good. Plus it is cheaper to buy two Lancome products that you will get use out of and she does fantastic makeup!

Most of the associates are very nice and helpful.... when Im dressed in regular clothes. When I go in there in my work uniform that has gotten dirty and Im not done up, I get ignored. Rarely do they ask if I need help unless my hair and make up are done. Little do they realize that I spend hundreds of dollars a month in there, regardless of how I look. 5 stars for selection, 2 stars for customer service, so 3 stars total.

I just my hair done by Kiera and she has done a Wonderful job. My hair is exactly the cut I wanted and she spruced my color up which I was desperately in need of. Thank you so much!!!!!!

Lady definitely messed up my hair but considering Im moving I cant get it fixed so Ill have to go somewhere else and get it done. Disappointed for a 40 dollar haircut after I washed it.. it looks choppy and terrible I believe Allison was the person that did my hair.

Got my hair done here awhile ago, I would not recommend going. I was set to get bangs. I am insecure about my forehead and really REALLY wanted bangs. She tried to convince me not to get them and that I would look weird. She told me she didnt want to give me bangs because of my hair line too; I have a widows peak AND a cowlick at the start of my hair in the same place and she said I couldnt get bangs because of it. It was so embarrassing/disheartening because I truly wanted them. I settled for a long fringe that was choppy and uneven, and paid FIFTY THREE. 5 3. dollars for it. Unbelievable. I did end up getting bangs by a small-business salon (Beautiful You) and she had no issues with my hair line at all. Seriously, the makeup and staff here is great but the hair styling section is horrriiiid.

Very rude. I had been waiting patiently 15min in line while on lunch from Mary Washington to get a few items before leaving out of town. I had waited while a group of women walked up and started to chit chat ( not in the line section). Then when they called for next in line the women said they were due to go ahead of the people already waiting. I politely said the line was here and I was on lunch break and had to leave if i could go since i had already been waiting. They didnt care and took the women who didnt wait in line causing me to have to take a second trip after work while exhausted. Thanks. Maybe next time Ill barge up front and just demand to be seen.

I feel as though every time I go there Im not treated well. I dont want to chalk it up as Im a black female but....My $$ is as good as anyone elses.I was using Fashion Fair but they are out of product going out of business so I basically was in need of makeup and came across ulta.For example: today I bought foundation and before the receipt was printed she walked to the next register to help with a white customer and told another lady to hand me my receipt...no nothing of thank you before I walked out...Im hoping to find another make up line soon. I was treated badly.

I have been to two different states TWO (traveling from va to nc and I have went out of my way to four different locations in search of lime crime hair dye as advertised) and all locations not only did not carry it, but when I asked about it they acted as if they had no idea what it was. My problem here is not with any of the staff, my problem is with Ulta itself. DO NOT ADVERSTISE PRODUCT IF YOURE NOT GOING TO CARRY IT. I’ll just order directly from limecrrime themselves and give my business to sephora. It’s ridiculous. Two separate states... hours out of my way. Poor staff ran all around looking for it and y’all dont even have it and if you’re rolling it out you sure failed in telling a lot of them.

Last Friday - January 11th I had my makeup applied before a professional interview as I had recently had surgery and was not physically able to put makeup on myself. When I made the appointment I asked for a very natural, nuetral color look. Upon arrival I again specified a very natural, nuetral look. The experience sitting in the chair was weird, the staff gathered and were talking about their other coworkers in an unpleasant way.Unfortunately I did not have the time to go back in and ask them to fix it. First my face was all different types of colors. I wasnt facing the mirror and thus couldnt see what was going on. The dark purple/pink lip stick was over drawn on my lips, like it was not how my lips were naturally. I immediately took it off. My eyebrows were so much darker, almost black, then my hair (Im blonde) and she reshaped them so I had random hairs that stuck out because she did not fill that those areas in.The worst part was the mascra, as you can see in the photos my eyelashes were clumped together, the mascra did not reach the roots of my eyelashes. Also no use of eyelash curler. I could not get them apart. The makeup artists, while applying the mascra, said that she would never use this again because it was dry but continued to use it. I had Dominque whom said she had only been with Ulta for a couple months.For the hefty cost of $45 dollars not including tip, I thought I was going to come out looking better then I could do myself instead it left me feeling self conscious and insecure. Definitely would not recommend using their beauty services.

Everytime I go here I end up realizing when I get home that I’ve accidentally bought something that’s already been opened. This should not happen everytime. They obviously do not do a good job of looking at their inventory.Today I went in and the cashier noticed that one of my items didn’t have a barcode. She made me go back to the aisle to find one that did, and instead of taking the item without the barcode (hence, already been opened and used) and throwing it out, she puts it in my bag while I’m not looking and sells it to me instead. Very upsetting and inconvenient.

I love my local Ulta. There are maybe 1 or 2 ladies there who have been really rude to me and walk around there like they have the personality of a wet rag.. But other than that all the other ladies are so nice. Most of them know me Im there alot.. Became diamond status within 3 months (unfortunately for my wallet lol) and was waddling around there nunerous times a week pregnant as can be but its nice to go there and be greeted and talked to like they are my own friends. The ones who ive mentioned being helpful and nice are very helpful and informational and ive had a few girls literally go out of their way to go in the back to grab one item for me that wasnt out on the floor.. Etc.. So for the most part this is definitely a 5 star store for me.

Went in to have hair cut and highlightS / lowlights end up with gapped up and pretty much one color. Call back to them i was unhappy did not want money back just fix my hair. Showed 2nd person the same pics i showed the first girl my hair still was not want i wanted. The cut can not be flat ironed or you see the chopped up layers i wanted blended layers. Called Corporate office told them i could have got this color for 8.99 out of a box and that at this point i wanted my money back so i can go somewhere that knows how to do hair and fix this mess.Lady from corporate stated she would contact the store and the store manager would get involved. That was a week ago have not heard a word. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.

I love ULTA. There are regular staples in my makeup, skincare and hair collection that I purchase from there. However, I really hate that this is my local store. Multiple times Ive gone, the staff is very rude. I constantly feel ignored. Staff will walk right past me. But Ive seen them ask other women if they need help. When I do get ahold of someone, Ive recieved multiple conflicting answers to the same question. I asked a woman at the register, she said the collection wont come to store and then another employee gave me a date the same collection was coming. And for a place thats all about beauty, the staff gossips about the customers. Ive been standing at the register, and the staff on the other side will talk about women coming in. Oh my God what is she wearing. Its horrible. This staff gives ulta a bad impression. This location makes me want to get over paying for shipping and purchase online instead of go in store.

I went to the salon at Ulta and wanted to trim my hair just enough to get rid of the dead ends. I was charged $62 for a TRIM. Less than one inch was cut and my bangs werent even touched. They are overpriced and they dont tell you the correct price upfront. Needless to say I was very upset and I wont be going back.

Made a hair appt. on the computer at 11a.. For 4 p.m. Got to ultra at 3:20 p.m. And the salon manager said we are running way behind...I dont know what to tell you as to a time . Can we move you til tomorrow? I drove 1 hour and 15 minutes to be told that and had made my appt early. My daughter had one at 5 and we cancelled both. Will never use this salon again and will be sure not to recommend to anyone(including friends who currently use it).Needs better appt planning or management
