This is the best salon I have ever been to. The staff is wonderful, the owners are even better! Sara did an amazing job, not only did she fix the botched color a previous salon had done, she took the time to make my hair perfect and listen to my every concern. I was also very happy with the professionalism and helpfulness of everyone, Katherine took time out of her schedule to help and make sure I left the salon with perfect hair. Im obsessed with my new color and will definitely be back for more! I am beyond happy with my results! This was the best experience I have ever had getting at ANY salon! Go here; just do it! Going to the same place for years, I decided to try a different way with my old hair; chose Carters because of good reviews.They were all right. Great place. I asked Sara if she could give me a Caesar cut: she said, sure. She did it and it has worked out just fine. The owner, Francis, is a most agreeable fellow. As I said: Go here!

Ive been a very long time customer of Carters. They have always been very attentive and listen to both my concerns and wishes for my hair. The place has a great atmosphere and all of the staff are very caring, talented people. Highly recommend any of the designers!

This is the only place I go in town to get my haircut. The entire staff is family-focused and some of the most welcoming people in downtown Fredericksburg. They always do their best to fit you into a good schedule and I have never heard anyone I know go there and have a complaint.

My friend recomended Gage to cut and color my hair. The results were phenomenal, he has perfectionist percision and a mastery of lightening dark hair. Not to mention his ability to create amazing color depth. He is very knowledgeable in his craft and was able to show me how to style my hair and what products to use. I honestly dont know where he has been my whole life, my hair has never looked this good. The entire salon is warm, polite, and fun to be around. Best experience Ive ever had.

Hands down the best salon in Fredericksburg, and maybe all of Virginia. The prices are reasonable. I always walk out commenting to myself wow that was WAY less $$ than I thought it was going to be. The quality of the color and cuts they provide is unbeatable. Kathryne is who you want to go to for blonde: she has mastered that art. Sarah is fantastic for updos. Gage is awesome for cuts and fashion colors.

Came for a balayage ombré and my hair just looks black at the top and then copper the rest of the way down. It doesnt fade or blend at all and it was over $200. When I asked if they can help me and fix it or refund half of it, they just wanted to charge me another $100 for another application of toner. Bummed because I heard a lot of good things about this place, but experienced this.

One of the worst haircuts I have ever had. I left with a gapped up and unsightly cut.
