I live in New York and my elderly parents lived in a rental community in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Due to their health conditions, I needed to take a leave of absence from work to come down to help them and assess their needs. During many doctor’s appointments and two heart procedures later, I knew it was time to find an assisted living facility for them. As soon as I contacted Paramount and spoke with the amazing Parween Nooruddin, I knew I found the perfect place. I cannot say enough about Parween. This was the first time I had the daunting task of finding a safe environment for my dad and step-mom and Parween’s compassion and knowledge made this transition so much easier. What a beautiful, clean and friendly environment Paramount is. The staff, especially Seth, Director of Nursing is so accommodating and compassionate. The care given to the residents is excellent. Most importantly, my parents are truly enjoying their experience there and I feel totally at ease leaving them there in the capable hands of the wonderful people of Paramount Senior Living, Fredericksburg, Virginia.

I am so happy to have my mother at Paramount. It is a beautiful facility with a hardworking staff. My mom calls me frequently to tell me all the activities she is involved in and how nice people are. A lot of her friends and family say they can never reach her on the phone in her room. That is because Paramount keeps the residents engaged so she is not just sitting in her room. The staff has also done an excellent job protecting the residents during the COVID crisis. Great job Paramount. Many thanks from a grateful daughter.

The staff at Paramount is wonderful and caring. They treated my mother-in-law so well during the year that she lived at Paramount. Her final month was in hospice and Paramount staff waited on her hand and foot during that time. Our only regret about the decision to move her into Paramount was that we did not make it sooner. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place.

Absolutely wonderful place for my father-in-law! We had to unfortunately move him out recently due to extenuating circumstances but the staff and management were so accommodating! Due to the restrictions put in place to keep the residents safe the staff went above and beyond by moving our belongings out onto the porch for us and allowing us the time to come and get everything! We cant thank everyone enough for what theyve done for us and my husbands father! It truly felt like being apart of one great big family and were gonna miss everyone there!

Were all worried about our most vulnerable loved ones, during this pandemic. But, SO much of that worry is alleviated, for us, knowing that Mom & Dad are at Paramount. Cant begin to say how grateful we are. Director Cathy Herzog has taken every precaution imaginable to ensure the residents remain healthy & safe! It must be a GREAT deal of worry & hard work for her & her team. But, they make it look easy. The residents are happy & well cared for. Activities Director Gail Ford goes far beyond what one could even hope for in supporting the mental & emotional well-being of the residents. Can not say enough good things about these wonderful people. The good spirit, the dedicated work, from the administrators to the support staff, from the nurses & physical therapists to the medical aides. Please try to imagine the overflowing of my heart in gratitude.

We all know that having to consider moving out of our homes into an assisted living facility can be scary. The moment I walked into Paramount Senior Living at Fredericksburg, I immediately felt like I was at home. From the smiling faces to the warm atmosphere, I knew this facility was going to be the top choice. Did I mention the facility is beautiful. The accommodations are individualized and the food is amazing. I would highly recommend!

What can I say about Paramount Senior living? It was possibly one of the greatest decisions I made for my mother’s health. I realized mom couldn’t live by herself when I came by one day to find that she hadn’t been taking her medication for three weeks and I had noticed she hadn’t had any good food left in her fridge. I had to make the hard decision to place my mom in a community but I had no idea how beneficial it would be for her and I when I did it. From the beginning, paramount had bent over backwards to accommodate my mother and her various needs, the staff has always been helpful and kind to both my mother and our family and it truly felt like just one big family. Recently we had to move her out of the community to be closer to the rest of us, even with the Covid restrictions in place, the staff and management were extremely helpful in moving her furnishings and personal items out front for our movers to load up. If you’re looking for a place for your mom or sad I can’t recommend paramount highly enough!

Paramount Senior Living at Fredericksburg is a beautiful community. It has recently been completely remodeled and has a very warm feel to it. The staff is very involved with the residents and the residents are very engaged with each other in many different social activities including; listening to the Oldies music, dancing.....sometimes even with the staff, watching “Mash” together, fishing, afternoon tea, shopping and outings to local restaurants. The residents seem to be very happy and content.

I toured Paramount Senior Living back in July for my grandmother who was recently diagnosed with dementia. When I toured the community they were going through renovations but the feeling that I got when I walked in was a family like atmosphere. The staff and the residents looked happy. Unfortunately, my grandmothers other health conditions prevented her from being able to go there due to her needing more of a skilled nursing environment. If the need arises Paramount will be our first choice.

When we looked into an Assisted Living Facility for our relative we were struck by the dedication of the staff. They make you feel as if this is your in your own home. This started with our introduction to the sales person and then with the other managers, Nursing, Food Services, Maintenance, Administration and Activities Directors. We would highly recommend Paramount to all those considering Assisted Living Facilities.

Cant say enough about Paramount. My Dad became very ill and had to sell his home suddenly this past year. We found Paramount through the help of a senior care adviser. We are very pleased with the level of care my Dad receives and while he would rather not be in assisted living, I think this is the best place for him in his condition.Parween the admissions manager is specifically very helpful whenever a question inevitably arises.

I moved my mom to Memory Care at Paramount from an assisted living facility on Hilton Head, SC where I was becoming concerned about the quality of medical care she was receiving there. The move to Paramount was the best decision we could have made. From the moment I arrived in Fredericksburg I could feel the compassion for my mom and our family as a whole! Parween was so kind while she assessed my mom you would never have known this was an “assessment” unlike the “assessments” she had received at her prior residential facility. The nurses are amazing advocates for their residents in Memory Care!! Jo recognized that my mom needed immediate medical attention for the infections on her legs from being wrapped too tightly by her previous care provider (for which she had been on antibiotics for 15 months). Home Health immediately came in and got the infection and the edema under control. My mom’s cognitive regression seemed to reverse a bit once the infection was gone (2 months now)!!The staff cares for mom like family, and my mom feels that love. She is actually really happy here ... says she is so blessed!!!! This is coming from the woman who used to call her former assisted living facility “disgusting,” despite the fact that it was always clean and seemed friendly ... which we learned was quite superficial. And by the way, the food at Paramount is delicious and healthy. My mom loves it!!All in all we couldn’t have asked for a better place for mom, and we are so grateful for the entire staff at Paramount!!

My husband and I did a lot of research for my parents that were moving to VA from out of state. Paramount is cost effective and close to our home. We were very upfront about the challenges we felt the staff would face with my parents and were assured that Paramount could handle not only medical issues but also the oppostition we were sure they would face. After my parents moved in I could no longer get a response from staff reaching out to Seth and Parween to address concerns both by telephone and email. There were concerns about food allergies for my father that were never properly addressed and my mothers mobility that were ignored. My parents ultimately decided to move out. I recognize that this was during the COVID pandemic and rules were very different and we were willing to follow. We had to fight to allow one family member in to help them pack as both of my parents are not mobile. We were willing to wear mask and have our tempature taken and waited weeks to be allowed in to pack them up (this became a finacial issue as my parents had been paying on a home at this point for two months and could no longer afford Paramount and a home, I was told simply they would not allow my parents to get help packing nor would the staff help and I was not allowed in and if my parents could no longer pay they would go to a debt collector.) On moving day the staff moved my parents items to the curb for movers to come and pick up. Upon arrival at my parents new home we realized there were many missing items. We called Paramount and they allowed me to come back in as they said it was just my mothers clothing. As the pictures show it was much more than clothing. All of the staff watched me go in and out of my parents apartment multiple times to load my car all ignoring me (it must have been at least 5 trips). I witnessed much of the staff not wearing mask and they allowed me in and out multiple times so they didnt have to deal with it (weeks ago they would not even allow me in once and said when I left that was it but didnt seem to have a problem with me entering and leaving and rentering that day. I called corporate to share that staff was not wearing mask and was given lip service and told they would be back in touch but never were. My question is what were they going to do with all of the items left in my parents aparement. There is some wonderful staff at this facility but overall we were ignored and pushed back on at every possible point. I also regcognize that most people do not move out of assisted living and this is a unique experience but I do not understand the resitance and unwillingness to help. Also pictured is nursing staff speaking with a resident with a mask under her chin.

My mother lived here for less than a year but in that time she was lovingly cared for by every single staff member. They made my mother feel right at home and very loved. I never had to worry about wether she was being taken care of and fed. She was routinely checked on to make sure she had every thing she needed. Seth, Rebecca, Kathy and all the wonderful aides made it so I never had to worry about my mother’s care. I highly recommend Paramount. You can have all the amenities you want but if you don’t have a competent , caring, and compassionate staff all that other stuff means nothing. Thank you Paramount. I will always be thankful my mother spent her last days in such a wonderful place.

After much deliberation, I decided to place my mother/best friend in Brookdale. I chose this facility because the staff genuinely seems to care for its residents. I did not see any issues with staffing on any of my visits and I have been visiting this and other similar facilities for close to a year. The cost is steep but comparable with other assisted living residences. The place is clean and has decor that would appeal to the elderly.most importantly in all my visits the residents seemed happy and content which is the ultimate test in my book. I will post a follow up after about a month for those who may be interested.

I chose Paramount for my 89-year-old husbands care and needs while he recovered from complications of earlier surgery. This turned out to be a great move on my part. He was cared for by nurturing staff and management who made him comfortable yet kept him active and engaged to achieve the recovery I hoped to see. Hubby was only there for three months, but thrived there except for being homesick enough to come back home to stay. If the need arises in the future, Ill make Paramount my first choice for his care. We live 35 miles away, but the drive is worth it. The cost is fair and less than other places I saw. The quality of staff, food and facilities are quite high and healthy choices, so I consider the Paramount adventure to be well worth the time and money.

My mother became a serious case of self neglect and it was finally time to make a decision where her new home would be. I was referred to Paramount by another Memory Care facility that could not meet my mothers immediate needs. The Admissions/Marketing Manager, Parween Nooruddin did a phenomenal job answering all my tedious questions and from the first tour, I was sold. Parween introduced me to each staff member we walked by, she knew each resident by name and they all knew her and most importantly, they were happy. This was crucial in our decision for my mother’s new home, knowing she would be surrounded by people who cared for her and had her best interest at heart. She even went the extra mile to provide additional tours to my other siblings and answer further questions. Her dedication and passion for the senior community is truly inspiring. The care plan for my mother was thoroughly reviewed with my siblings and the Director of Wellness and Care, Seth Wirekoh, who stated, “your family is now part of our family”. It’s an immense relief knowing my mother is being cared for by a genuine and compassionate staff from the administration to the nurses. I have absolutely no doubt Paramount was the best decision for my mother and I’m eternally grateful for the help and guidance the administration provided to make my mother’s transition as smooth as possible.

Im writing to thank the Paramount staff in Fredericksburg for looking after Mom so caringly. We were hoping that she would recover from her most recent illness and I know that her careers there did everything that they could to help Mom and make her as comfortable as possible. I know that many people helped there but in particular, Id like to recognise Carol, Lisa, Renee and Seth, as these people always seemed to be there when either my family or I called. Id like to thank these people in particular but Id also like to thank all the staff there. It was a team effort.

Paramount was my top facility for assisted living for my mom, and a lot of the credit for that goes to its amazing Admissions/Marketing Manager, Parween Nooruddin. She has been incredibly responsive and helpful from day one. Indeed, her dedication to the job and her genuine enjoyment of the residents has been apparent from my very first tour; it has been a true pleasure during my daily visits to see her and to witness her congenial rapport not only with her residents but with the staff and with visitors as well. Her enthusiasm seems contagious, as you may find it all over Paramount, from the Director of Care Seth Wirekoh and his gregarious emphasis on family right on down to the friendly personalities and winning smiles of the front desk staff. I am very appreciative of all of the many ways Parween and the rest of Paramount have worked with me to ensure my moms transition to assisted living, though certainly anything but an easy one, could ultimately be successful.

Im sold! We had convinced my 94 year old uncle that he should move someplace where there was more care than the over-55 apartment complex in which he lived. The VA hooked him up with a Care Patrol who showed him some prospective places, starting at Paramount. Apparently, he liked it enough to not even check out any other homes. I learned about the Care Patrol and Paramount from Parween, Paramounts Admissions and Marketing Manager, who reached out to me. We are his only family sort of in the area and she wanted us to be aware and weigh in.I arranged to visit Paramount with my mom (his sister) and was really impressed. There was just a lively, friendly, happy vibe at Paramount. The staff that I met (Seth, Diane and finally Parween) were obviously very caring and conscientious. I usually dread going to senior homes as they can be depressing. I didnt feel that way at all at Paramount. The residents were about to have lunch (soup smelled delicious) and were spilled into the front common room.Seth and Diane took us around a little bit until Parween was available. After showing us the rest (including the unit my uncle would be moving into) we stopped in her office to discuss finances and any other concerns we had. She answered all of our questions. She gave me her email address and phone number. She remained in contact with me but more importantly, with my uncle. She was immensely helpful to my uncle as he navigated the process of moving out of his apartment and into Paramount. She went WAY above and beyond in all her efforts to assist him and make things as smooth as possible for him.I also thoroughly enjoyed meeting Seth and Diane and felt like they were just good, decent, caring people who really wanted the place to be a home for all who resided there. Loved that that is also how they spoke about the owner of Paramount. They mentioned that the residents are like a family and I got the sense that was the case.My uncle has some health issues and it was clear from the get-go that they were anxious also to get started on helping him resolve and monitor his health issues. He just recently moved in so this review is my perspective as a family member and my impression of the place and the character of its staff. A++ So happy this is his new home! Thanks, Parween and Paramount! Looking forward to visiting him in his new digs!

In October 2019, we had to make some hard decisions regarding moving my parents from SC to a Virginia Assisted Living Facility. We toured 6 different facilities in the Fredericksburg area. Keep in mind, we are very thorough when touring and interviewing facilities, checking safety, facility practices, procedures, cleanliness and the staff (nurses, aids, facility administration including the Admissions/Marketing Manager. After narrowing it down to 2 facilities, we ultimately choose Paramount Senior Living of Fredericksburg because of the size, care provided and the willingness of the Admissions/ Marketing Manager (Parween Nooruddin) to work with us on move dates, personal safety issues for my father who has mobility issues and ensuring that the monthly contract accommodated our situation. It is now January, and my parents are finally settling into a new routine, receiving PT and OT for existing conditions and loving the 3 meals a day that they receive.Parween has gone above and beyond to make sure that my parents transition went smoothly. When we ran into issues, they were addressed with Parween, and she immediately contacted the appropriate people and they were resolved. She aided in insuring that modifications were made to their permanent room to help with our safety concerns for our father who has mobility issues. When we needed to move up our move in date, Parween worked out an easy transition from my parents home in SC to a temporary room at Paramount of Fredericksburg and then a month later moving them into their permanent Apartment. The transition itself has had it’s hiccups, but the support that we received from Parween along the way has helped us get through this hard time and know this was the right decision. We would highly recommend contacting Parween Nooruddin when looking for a permanent Assisted Living facility.Parween, thank you for your support and for making a difficult time less painful!!

My wheel-chair bound mother has been there for 1 1/2 yrs. They have had a huge turnover amount of personnel; directors in 1 yr; 2 Dir. of nursing; only 2-3 waiter/waitresses to feed 60-80 residents. Scheduled housekeeping/laundry services are not on a regular basis, the CNAs are mostly friendly but are overworked for the facility is understaffed. You pay close to 4K for all the amenities yet they charge you $5 a tray if meals are brought up to you. What is included in your Level of Care Plan was never pointed out.
