This visit was for my annual flu shot. They created a separate space off the waiting room to give patients vaccinations without using one of the exam rooms and eliminating close contact with other patients. As always they were friendly and efficient.

Dr. Hemen Shah is the BEST!! Takes the time to explain your concerns and evaluates all of your testing results and prescribes a unique program for your needs. Have recommended on numerous occasions. Shirley, Dr. Shahs staff nurse is excellent too.From entering the offices to departure all staff are pleasant and very helpful

I have been going to numerous doctors for the past decade looking for answer for my symptoms. I was constantly overlooked, not taken seriously, or given false answers for what was causing my health issues. Jinhui and Hakim were the first to finally take me seriously, listen to my concerns, order the correct blood work, and come to diagnosis. Jinhui was quick to respond and made sure I completely understood my symptoms, medications, side effects, the whole nine yards. I absolutely love this office! Thank you!

My brother moved from NY to MD. He needed to establish a relationship with a new PCP. This practice was recommended to him. First visit was GREAT! Very professional.

First off I love working with Dr Hakim. She takes time to explain and while professional remains personal. Unfortunately yesterday was not a good day. I had an appt at 11a, arriving 1045. I waited one hour in the waiting room and they waited almost a half an hour in the examination room for her to come in. It distresses me to think I was in that room and the nurse never checked on me after the initial visit. That is something that I think needs to be looked into your policies. If Im late for an appointment I get charged however I waited an hour and a half before the doctor came in another half an hour for the appointment itself so I just think that that needs to be brought to someones attention.

I feel so fortunate to have found Dr Hakim. She is the best! She is a very good listener and gives you the time you need to share and explain your health issues and concerns. There are times you may have to wait beyond your appointment time to be seen, but once she enters the room, she is focused on you and does not rush you out. She is worth the wait. Dr Hakim explains lab results so that you understand what is going on with your thyroid and works with you to determine and explain treatment and adjustments to your health plan. Love Dr Hakim!

Ive been seeing Dr Hakim for a number of years now. She is attentive, caring, and always makes me feel like the most important person in her office. She always goes over my lab results answering my questions in ways that make me an integral part of the healthcare process.

While sitting in the waiting room, you never know what is going on behind closed doors, so this comment is regarding waiting.With COVID-19, extra precautions are in place, but the physical area to enforce them is limited at this practice. There are not many chairs available 6 feet apart and when they fill patients are left standing. In addition, new patients are coming in and a line formed out the door.I was there for a walk-in flu shot. I took up a patient seat for 45 minutes before getting the shot.Otherwise, I love the physicians and staff at this practice! The attention one receives is top-notch.

Dr. Hakim treats all her patients very professionally but also shows sincere care and compassion. Shes always willing to hear my concerns and answers all questions and alleviates all concerns. I live 50 plus miles away and she is well worth the trip.

Dr Hakim is my all time favorite doctor. She is knowledgeable, kind, and takes her time with you. She really cares about your overal well being. The front office staff at times has been rude but I can handle that to see a wonderful doctor. The wait can be a bit much too but I know she is a popular doctor and everyone wants to see her so again ill wait for her. Im lucky to have found such a great doctor to help me through my journey.

I am an endocrinology patient, so I can only speak to that. Dr. Hakim is knowledgeable, of course, but she also listens and is very caring. My GP recommended her and I’m so glad that she did! I was also impressed with her PA, Jin (sorry, I can’t remember her last name). Her secretary told me that she was a doctor in China and she also is very knowledgeable and thorough. I would not hesitate to see her for my diabetes and Dr Hakim is following a thyroid nodule. I feel like I’m in good hands with both of them.For internal medicine, I go elsewhere. I don’t like the fact that the waiting room is always very crowded. (Pre-Covid).

The option to have my annual checkup remotely was great! Had a little hitch at first with my technology, but Dr Shah stuck by me and we got through it! Easy talk, mailing the paperwork and done. Saved me the trip and potential exposure. Plus they dont have to clean a room!

The staff and receptionists here are HORRIBLE!! I have NEVER been treated so badly by a medical practice in my life. I wasnt even able to make an appointment thats how rude they were!! The first time I called a receptionist named Karen I believe, picked up, I told her that my gynecologist recommended I see Dr. Hakim about my newly found underactive Thyroid, she then asked me if I was a new patient there and I said yes and then she quickly said You have to tell your referring physician to send your lab results to us before we can schedule an appointment. CLICK. Before I could say anything else she clicked me off to an automated voice messaging system. She didnt ask what my name was and I didnt have the chance to tell her that my doctor had already sent my results and information to their office. So after a week of calling them trying to schedule an appointment, leaving messages and such I have given up. They never called me back and I was never able to get a real person over the phone after that. I have no idea how good the doctors are but if you cant even make an appointment because the receptionists are so rude and nasty I dont think I want to know how the doctors are! Dont even bother trying with these people they are not worth your time and apparently you arent worth theirs

I loved my doctor at FIMES. However, I was never able to see him when I was supposed to. The office staff there is horrible and incredibly unorganized. I was once told that they didnt know where my records were, where my blood tests were, so therefore I was not a patient and they could not help me. Unbelievable lack of organization and people skills. I left the practice when my doctor did and things are MUCH better.
