I was evaluated by Dr Yalda and her team for a tooth implant. Dr Yalda was very clear in her explanations of how best to proceed. The office had wonderful cleanliness protocols everywhere from the moment I arrived. The staff was very friendly, clear and thorough in their procedures.

Candace, was wonderful doing my deep scaling cleaning. Really enjoyed her and was the most comfortable I ever felt at a dental appointment. 🤗 she even called me after I left to see how I was doing.. that was special. I highly recommend this office for all your periodontal needs. Thank you 😊

Consultation & procedure went great with Dr. Akthar. She is highly skilled and helpful in explaining what to expect during the procedure. Unfortunately, I received a surprise bill that was 3x the estimate from the billing department. When I called to schedule to the appointment, I had Unum dental which later switched to Guardian but Dr. Yalda is covered under both. The entire time I was led to believe I would be seeing Dr. Yalda. I was surprised to meet Dr. Akthar on the day of the consultation since I had not heard her name or seen it before-- she may even remember that I asked her if she was Dr. Yalda because I thought I heard her name wrong.On the day of the surgery, I was told there was an insurance issue but that they would handle it -- turns out the front desk staff didnt. The issue turned out to be that Dr. Akthar was out of network for the insurance, even though the staff had said they confirmed coverage on the first visit. So if you go here, make sure you check the insurance, and insist on only seeing the provider that your insurance covers. There is also some strange rule that they will only accept certain insurances in their Gaithersburg office but not the Frederick one, but nobody at the front desk wants to tell you that prior to your appointments. All in all, Dr. Akthar did great as a Doctor, but its a shame her front desk team cant properly serve customers.

This office is a great place to be when you need dental work. From beginning consultation appointment to the day the work being performed, this office contacted me with information and instructions as to what to expect. I even had 2 calls asking if I would like to move my appointment to an earlier date. I had an unfortunate incident where another tooth broke off. Today’s procedure was an attempt to put 2 posts in my mouth. After evaluating my situation, it was decided to just build up the 2 areas, let that heal and then proceed. Follow up appointment scheduled next week to take out stitches and what to expect next. Thank you to all who work in this office with their friendliness, knowledge and professionalism with anyone they care of.

I saw Dr. Akhtar and she was very thorough and professional. She explained the procedures she was recommending and made me feel comfortable moving forward. The other dental and administrative personnel I interacted with were also courteous and professional. I will definitely recommend this office and especially Dr. Akhtar.

Staff and care are excellent. Wondered about the pre-visit Civid disclaimer however. Contained a statement that vaccines are not available, which is not true. Covid Vaccines approved by the FDA under emergency use authorization are readily available.

Dr Yalda was been my periodontist for over 15 years. I have received absolutely superb care during all that time. I visited her the first time after I had my wisdom teeth removed by an oral surgeon, and he didn’t properly clean the open wound, causing an infection. Dr Yalda rectified the problem and since then I’ve been her biggest fan. I cannot say enough good things about her and her courteous and professional staff.

I can highly recommend Dr. Yalda. She listens well, gives you the benefit of her experience, and lets you make choices about your care. She feels like a skilled partner, not an arrogant or worse, flakey, medical professional. I also greatly appreciate how their waiting room process allows for safety/social distancing due to Covid-19. Only one person was allowed in the waiting room. They called me from my car when they were ready, then took my temperature. I have not had a similar experience in any medical office. Definitely a Frederick treasure!

Visited office today for a consultation regarding a long-term dental implant problem. Was helped by several staff members. Each was kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Akhtar examined my problem tooth and ordered a CT scan in the office before offering a robust and plausible surgical solution. Its a great thing to find help needed and quiet confidence with evident expertise.

This morning I had a procedure performed by Dr Yalda. The entire visit was done in a professional, respectful, COVID conscious manner. The front desk team were helpful and made sure I had everything that I needed to do before I entered the operatory for the procedure. The Dental Assistant prepared me for the procedure explaining ever step that would be taken. Dr Yalda was friendly informative and especially concerned about my comfort. Dr. Yalda is a phenomenal dentist and does exceptional work in oral surgery and periodontal care. Dr. Yalda did my gum surgery in 2015, and I returned to her in 2020. The staff is experienced and the quality of their work is a true asset!

I have been the fortunate recipient of great periodontal work performed by Dr. Yalda with the assistance of her staff. She exceeds any standard of competence I ever had for a dentist. Even though it requires a 60-mile round-trip to see her, Ill be seeing her again next week, and on into the foreseeable future.

I absolutely hate dental work. Dr Yalda and her staff makes you feel comfortable and understands their patients and knows their exact needs. I had major extractions and gum work done after another dentist tore things up, and she fixed it along with another dentist at another office. I am very satisfied with what she has done. I am confident that when I see her that the work will be done right. I wish she did general dentistry so that I could see her for everything. Very professional place to do business.

I only had my radiographic images there and when I checked my costs they charged my insurance for works that they didn’t do for me. They were asking me at the end of my appointment for additional amount, although my insurance covered my radiographic images! Like how much you can pay today?? Dishonest, the Indian dentist was very rude! Avoid this place and go find a real good dentists !

It’s certainly not often one would use the word “pleasure” and “accommodating” when referring to your Dentist; but I wanted to ensure I took the time to inform anyone reading that Dr. Yalda and her staff are just that. Given my hectic travel schedule at work I had no time to slow down to have a post implant placed by Dr. Yalda. I was extremely uncomfortable and not looking forward to the experience. In fact I informed Dr. Yalda in advance of the medications I would like to be prescribed to ensure I felt no pain. Upon my arrival (20 minutes early) I took a seat in Dr. Yalda’s quite busy lobby. I thought for sure I’d be waiting forever to be seen; but I was promptly called in for my procedure to begin. The clinching of my interlocked fingers were quickly observed by Dr. Yalda and she with great ease and comfort informed me that placing my post would be quite the walk in the park. My procedure was complete within minutes and I must say never needed the Percocet I so anxiously informed in advance. Dr. Yalda’s demeanor and ease with which she informed of the steps she would take “prior” to even beginning allowed me to become one with the experience and I was totally relaxed and extremely pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr. Yalda and her team.
