I really like this clinic. Staff is friendly and doctor is very personable. I have been bringing my grandma here for over a year and she is very happy to be here. She is a frail elderly lady with various aches and pain that seem to move about the body on any given week. This clinic really helped my grandma to the point where she is noticeably moving around at home more (ie. participating in cooking prep). I sit with my grandma on each of her office visits and these are my thoughts: this is a pain management clinic but this clinic does not push medications/narcotics (like most other pain specialist we have tried); nor do they push pain management procedures such as epidurals and injections. Rather, the doctor took the time to explain to us the various treatment options often used to treat my grandmas problems and we ended up picking the most conservative plan. Just FYI my grandmas specific treatment mostly includes strengthening therapy, massage therapy, and the occasional injections by the doctor. Grandma is happy because the treatment plan actually works and my grandma likes to be around other Vietnamese patients participating in the clinic. I think the biggest difference between this clinic and most other medical clinics in the area is that the doctor (he is fairly young!) makes my grandma feel heard and seems to understand the various cultural nuances that make us feel at home.

I had a great experience being a patient at UMC clinic. Everyone was really friendly. I felt pretty welcomed here. Everyone acknowledged me. I was treated by Dr. Truong whom was so professional, empathetic and caring. He took his time to listen to my problem.

DO NOT GO HERE. This place iS a TOTAL RiP OFF. The MOST expensive 3 month back rub I ever had in my life. I was rear ended in an car accident(2,9,2017). Dr. Michael refused to sign me up for my temporary disability and or help me with my Permanent Disability... Today is 6.6.2018 2a.m. and I am still in pain. On 2.1.2018, I went to another Dr. and started to file on my own... I do not qualify because I filed it too late. So now I can not stand up for 20 mins. Cant walk for more than 15 mins. Cant bend down, even with my knees bent without balancing myself on a car table chair or another person. Dr. Michael wanted me to get injections... So I ask him what is it? What kind of medicine is it? His reply Everyone gets it. To this day I still do not know what medicine with the name everyone gets it I asked every Pharmacist I know and they dont even know. So I asked Dr. Michael again, is this a pain killer or steroid or what is the medical terminology of it? Dr. Michaels reply oh, yea, its a steroid I also asked every Pharmacist what kind of medicine is oh yea its a steroid... I asked what kind of steroid is it? Dr. Michaels reply its for your pain, for the inflammation I asked my Pharmacist what kind of steroid is its for your pain, for the inflammation and what does this do to me, who makes it, the origin of the steroid and how long has this been in the market and how long was the case study for this drug how long it took for the FDA to approve this steroid called everyone gets it... Now Im stuck in limbo... I can not get my insurance payout for the car accident for 2.9.2017 because, I am being charged $11,972.63 for 3 months of visits, 24 chiropractic visits ( lay on massage bed, get a 10 min back rub and what adjustment? LoL touching someones back is not considered a chiropractic adjustment. ) Argument with Dr. Michael 3 times for 5 mins each... So, $12,000.00 what did you do to relieve my pain Dr. Michael? My insurance total payout is $25,000... Ambulance ride to hospital $5,700. Emergency room wait, I didnt get any treatment there at all, 3 x-rays, 4 hours sitting in chair so I layed on the ground, then they released me from hospital $9,650. Doctors bill for reading my 3 x-rays $3,750.00... $2,900 for 8 Psychiatrist visits that Dr. Michael Prescribed for me... My head dont hurt, I dont hear any voices in my head to tell me do things but there is constant ringing in my ears since my car accident... So far $21,700 for hospital bill and doctor bill plus Dr. Michaels fee of $12,000.00 is $32,000... But the insurance only covers $25,000 total for the accident... So now I get nothing and no help and end up with free medical bills and still hurt. I found a new Chiropractor that charges $35 per visit I will be going there in the morning at 8a.m. i will leave a review there. I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE. It is a TOTAL RiP OFF.
