The Dr. helped me when I came into the hospital with spinal pressure from a mass. The clinic had me do radiation as a treatment. The staff made it hard to follow up and made appointments then cancel after I showed. Had another cancer show up and was in trouble only to get sidelined many times. Finally said they don’t except my insurance and by the time I got help from another place I was in serious trouble needing help a lot sooner. LEFT HANGING!!!

I have been a patient at the Center for 16 years. Dr Young has been my oncologist for all those years and Dr Reddy has been my oncologist for 2 years also. I found Dr Young to be kind and compassionate. She is so very knowledgeable about breast cancer and she actually shows you on paper what stage your cancer is and what treatment would be best for you and what your survival percentages are with and without treatment. If I had symptoms she ordered tests to eliminate the chance of any more cancer, that’s how thorough she is. She listens to me and I feel she understands my fears and concerns, and she takes all the time I need to be seen.I see Dr Reddy because of some blood tests that might indicate another type of cancer. Again he has been thorough and compassionate, especially when I express my concerns and fears. He has also taken care of my husband who had lung cancer. When he had lung surgery Dr Reddy visited him in the hospital every day.and saw him regularly when he was doing chemo. My husband has had regular appointment and scans. Dr Reddy had taken excellent care of him. The chemo nurses and the radiation oncology staff were great too.I also worked at the Center as Dr Young’s Patient Navigator for six and a half years. She is so brilliant and a great educator. I loved helping patients through their journey with cancer. But I also got to see behind the scenes the care and compassion all the doctors, nurse practitioners, Chemo nurses and MAs have for their patients. The Center has many support services too like massage therapists, psychologists, dietitians, social workers physical therapists and financial counselors. The navigators are a great asset and a connection to the doctors and support services.I’m sorry this so long, I just had to share my experiences as a patient and a navigator.

MISTREATMENT & INDISCREETRude and unprofessional. Go elsewhere. If you have been mistreated by these people you have the right to file a complaint with the state. Don’t be afraid to exercise that right by doing so. You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect. You have the right to bodily integrity. This place operates more like a prison than a place any type of care. Don’t let them bully you. They will try.

I love this place! The infusion staff is amazing, Ive been a patient here for about 3 years and those girls have gone out of their way to be kind and patient with me. Ive seen them be kind to even the rudest patients. Dr Young is fantastic right along with Helena! From the other reviews I really dont understand how yall can say Dr Young is unsympathetic... the first time I talked to her it was a very matter of fact and she started delivering information completely different after I asked her to sugar coat info. After that, her bed side manners were perfect for me! I think a doctor who can do that is fantastic. Helenas equally as amazing, she really cares for her patients as if theyre her family which I love about her. She makes the cancer process very smooth and enjoy every visit I have with her. Some doctors would rather have me go to a separate doc for any issues I have other than cancer and Helenas not like that, shed rather hear all my issues and take them into her own hands. Very admirable. If you are considering coming to this center, I say DO IT! I love having all my needs met in one place such as, finances, imaging & scans, therapists, massaging, acupuncture, pharmacy, navigators, and have even heard they are bringing in physical therapists.Unfortunately, Im moving states and there will be a massive spot in my heart missing from leaving this place. They have become my family and have seen me go through a lot and really make me feel like they genuinely care. I feel as if I have a whole team of support besides my family, which is all you can ask for sometimes! :) If the centers reading this, thank you for everything, I will miss you so much, and I love yall!!! ❤️❤️

Poor communicators, options for chemo were minimally discussed, NP stated that the group did not like oral chemos because of side effects and the only option was IV chemo, doctors and NPs do not examine you, and are not supportive of life decisions. MAs and nurses do not call you back when messages are left, no assistance with costs of labs and tests, doctors and nurse practitioners are adversarial and condescending. Left the practice essentially dying, found another hematologist and was placed on oral chemo with a white count returning to normal. I do not suggest this group for hematology care.

I am thankful for the providers and staff at The Center who cared for me throughout my treatment. From the moment you walk through the door it is clear how committed they are to making the patient experience a positive one...from the friendly staff who know you by name to the convenience of receiving most of your care under one roof...I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The nurses in the chemo room are amazing and make you feel like you are their only patient. Their focus on my overall well-being included massages from the massage therapist and an appointment with the dietitian. It is amazing how diet and relaxation improve the overall treatment experience. The Center and Dr. Page have been such a blessing. I cannot imagine receiving cancer treatment anywhere else.

I worked with all location and physicians at The Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders for nearly 10 years. From a behind-the-scenes view, the staff truly cares about each and every patient, each and every caregiver. I have seen huge smiles from nurses, doctors, and admin staff in celebrating milepost victories for patients and witnessed tears for those who finished their life journey in our care. Always proud of my time with this group of fine men and women.

NOT very happy with the service that I have received here since I started treatment. My doctor NEVER has time to stay in the room with you to discuss anything. My first visit to discuss treatment, she was rushing my to get there after I informed her that I was at another appointment. Case Manager (Sherry) was not nice when I first started treatment. I would call with side effects & advice on what to do & she had a bad attitude, so I stopped calling. I started called the nurse triage line...well that didnt take long. She became rude & stopped returning my calls. Have not called them in months because they are just not nice people, but called today to inform them of a rash on my face from the meds Im receiving & was told to call my PCP or my dermatologist! I AM UNDER YOUR CARE, YET YOU CANT HELP WITH SIDE EFFECTS??? I will be speaking with my surgeon & if its not to late in the game, I will be finding a new MO office. No compassion for cancer patients at all.It has NOT been a while since Ive been there...I was there 2 weeks ago! AGAIN, I was there recently! Thats another issue that I have; you cant even get your facts straight. I was NOT even a patient in August of 2017!! I became a patient in 2/2018 & am still a patient AND have NEVER cancelled an appointment. Last in on 8/17/18. What good is speaking with Scott going to do???

My daughter, 29 year old, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in February/March 2016. Her care was referred to CCBDFW. The doctors, nurses, and staff that handled her care were awesome. They allowed us to discuss our faith and assurance that cancer would not win. My daughter began her chemotherapy and radiation in late May and her last treatment was in August. In October when she went for her checkup THE CANCER WAS GONE!!!You may not believe in God but I can tell you that He is a rewarder and a healer! We know that all sickness is not unto death, and that includes cancer. God allowed my daughters body to be stricken but He was with her the whole time.We are thankful for the team that God had in place for my daughter and that they encouraged her! They are awesome! If you have been diagnosed, this is a great facility to receive treatments.

I would of given a good review an hr. ago. My husband is being treated here, he has a 7 hr in office treatment and 46 hr home pump treatment to be done bi weekly. I was told I could stay with him for his treatment. I did for the first hr and a half, then was informed I could not remain with him. Not everyones family members had to leave and imagine my surprise when they walked by several to pick me, in the back to be first. I dont know why, perhaps because we came in last, perhaps because he was the only patient with a permanent tan in the area. I dont care why, we have been married 30 years and I intend to be with him thru this and I am furious that they wont let me.

Dr. Potluri was unable to accurately dose chemotherapy for my father. He was given large amounts of chemo and as a result he was dead about 2 weeks later. Dr. Potluri did not assess the patient in conjunction with diagnosis to provide for the optimal treatment. Always get a second opinion if you are faced with serious treatment plans.

Stay away from this place. Theyre all about money.I was a patient here and Dr Reddy was my oncologist. He ordered 8 hours at a time of chemo.I lost 50 lbs., could not hold anything down, could not stand on my two feet. I was in the hospital for 13 days.Dr Reddy came to the hospital, screamed at me saying I could not miss my chemo. I refused to do anymore chemo. Got a scan and was cancer free. I know if I kept on doing chemo, I would have died.

Sigh....... what a nightmarish ride this has been. I am giving the center 1 star because I feel as if the doctors are very knowledgeable. However they do use coercion to try and make you use treatments that you are uncomfortable with. I get that they are trying to save your life. These docs don’t listen to your concerns or try to get from point a to point b by listening to the patient and working on a plan together. It’s their way or the highway. I know because they “fired” me for not taking a maintenance medication. My quality of life was suffering. I told them many times and asked for some compassion. I explained that i was unable to care for my children when taking the maintenance meds. I was screamed at and told I was non-compliant. Other times i was told i would need scans or tests. I would go home and wait for the call telling me where to go and what time. Most times the calls never came. The support staff is lacking. They would drop the ball and never make the appointments. I know numerous other patients that have had the same experiences. Correct me if I’m wrong, this is my life, my body, I thought i had the right to advocate for myself and ask questions. A persons health should be a team effort not a battle. My mother is also a patient here and has had similar experiences. Dr Robyn Young tried to force treatments on her that were deemed unnecessary. A surgeon outside of the center sent her to a tumor board and they did not agree with Dr. Young and my mother ended up not doing the treatments. She is doing fine........I do believe some of the reviews on here may be accurate. It is all about the money. It is a business after all. Please keep these things in mind when making a choice for your healthcare needs. Check in to the Moncrief Cancer Center down the street. They are compassionate and caring.

Robyn Young is hands down the rudest person I have ever met. She shouldnt be a doctor much less an oncologist. What kind of sick person shows no compassion when speaking to a person diagnosed with breast cancer that day? What kind of person makes a newly diagnosed cancer patient cry throughout the appointment because they are treating them like crap. Yeah, that is what Robyn Young does. She could care less about her patients.

Bottom line for this place is money--all about money. My father was treated there for lung cancer, the doctors knew from the beginning he did not have a chance for cure or longevity. But they scared him into taking radiation treatments and drained his insurance before he died. They were cold and uncaring to my father, and from the radiation waiting room we saw staff was throwing paper wads at each other and clowning around. Very unprofessional behavior. Both the radiation and medical doctor kept referring to my father by the wrong name, I corrected them but they still continued to address him by the wrong name. My father died soon after treatment, they made over $30,000 from his insurance. I found out soon afterwards, Dr Jordan had new counter tops installed at his second home in Colorado. We never received a thank you note.
