I used to be a patient here, known as Eve, and this place really helped me get through a lot. I know the term “mental hospital” seems scary but outpatient wasn’t that bad to be honest. It’s kind of nice. I hope others had a moderately good experience here as well.

My son was here for weeks, which were basically a waste of time. When I talked to a nurse she told me that they dont see his behavior issues at the center (therefore they dont exist I guess??). My son is very good at masking his behavior in certain environments and he takes all his frustration out at home, which I told them. They, in a nutshell, invalidated that he needs real help. I liked his counselor overall and I think he felt better in some ways from the counseling sessions so that is why Im giving them 2 stars instead of 1. Otherwise, it was just a big waste of time.

This was just an extremely bad place to attend. The staff attempted to put me with children much younger than me at first, I was nearly 15 and the rest of the people I was with were just starting 7th or 6th grade. Those kids encouraged self harm and the counselor did nothing about it. When I got out of that from a lot of begging, the experience did not improve even with older patients. The counselor had little to no advice on things regarding more serious topics such as suicidal idealization and would just write you a slip and talk to the next person about a very minuscule short term problem for 30 minutes. I could go on for days about my poor experience at this place but these words dont mean much coming from someone who they deem mentally unfit, right? Please do not send your child here if you have the option to look elsewhere.

Taylor was a life saver for my daughter! All of the staff was friendly and super helpful. The coping mechanisms that were taught to Bailey were so helpful. I would highly recommend Innovations. My daughter doesnt want to leave because shell miss Miss Taylor 💕

I was a patient here 3 years ago. I was struggling with depression and anxiety. I honestly dont even know where to start. I hated going here, and I became more depressed and anxious. The other kids who were doing self harm inspired me to try it myself. I felt that I was treated like a baby, and I was in a class with children with anger issues while I had depression. The first day there I was put in a class with 5-9 year olds even though I had been 11 years old. The schooling was an absolute joke. The teacher just gave us random worksheets and didnt really know what she was doing, and we rarely ever did school anyway, and when we did it was only for a few minutes. I was lucky enough to be able to get out of there early, and my depression and anxiety improved immediately once I left. Going to Innovations was definitely the worst period of my life and I would not recommend it to anyone. My experience was 3 years ago, but based on the other reviews I have seen nothing has changed.

I was a patient here and Mr Brandon was my therapist and he is a truly wonderful man. Words cannot not describe how thankful I am for him and how much he helped get over my addiction. This place is extremely beneficial and highly recommend this to anyone looking for help. This man definitely deserves a raise or something because he is changing lives and he definitely changed mine

Mrs. Kaylee is such an amazing therapist who not only listens to me, but challenges me too. She puts me out of my comfort zone, yet keeps me safe at the same time. I really want to continue individual therapy with her because she is so great! I highly recommend! :)

My childs experience here was life-changing. He went in angry and violent (a symptom of anxiety mixed with depression plus a medication that wasnt the one), having been to his therapist WEEKLY for an entire summer with no improvement. He was a danger to everyone around him as well as himself. It was really scary. The first two or three weeks at Innovations were rocky. I didnt see a lot of improvement and I was pretty sure it wasnt helping but I decided to trust the process. The process is a process! It takes the time it takes and not a minute faster or slower. By the fourth week, my son was sharing his feelings in group, participating in the activities, being kind and patient with his siblings, holding my car door open, kissing my cheek and talking about how he was feeling about things. The change was drastic. The new medication was a key and the different therapies and activities were all a key. Like a giant puzzle that needs all the pieces. Is this place perfect? No place is perfect. If you look for it you will find that people are human everywhere. But they are well trained and they did everything they could for my child. We resisted this option for months. But we found our miracle here and will forever be grateful to the staff.

I was a former patient of innovations, and honestly none of these parents who are complaining can truly understand what goes on behind those walls. My experience was tremendously helpful. The staff is beyond wonderful, and the care I received during my stay was efficient, personal, and produced actual results. I am now 19, with a full time job, I plan to become a therapist, and Im very much alive. And its all due to this establishment.

My daughter has anxiety and had reached a point of feeling overwhelmed, unloved, and hopelessness. Even though we are a close family, the concept of being adopted led to this crisis no matter how hard parents try to show love. At innovations, they were able to teach her strategies, understand her own thought processes to be more positive in self talk, and to communicate with friends and family when shes overwhelmed. She needed 4 weeks of guidance, intervention, and a small medicine regimine. My daughter reports, and truly scts like a joyful person again. Her heart breaks for the suffering her peers are experiencing thpugh. I have experienced mind above matter with a different child, slso adopted, but innovations out ranks them all around. My son lost an entire semester bcz of the lack of academics at MAM.

Their supposed assessment has one intended outcome - get you to participate in their program, not to help you identify possible solutions. The front desk staff was rude, and was not shy about showing their displeasure when you dont agree with the overreaching terms and ask questions. This was by far the most unprofessional conduct in such a business I have personally experienced.

Inappropriate friendships with minors dealing with substance and behavioral issues know for running away. Joy riding with van driver, dropped off a hour after the drop off time to listen to music on Friday conveniently missing a important Dr appointment. Poor experience with all staff from this location when reporting.

This place is a joke from the moment you walk in for the assessment to the moment your child walks out the doors. If youre looking for real help and change for your child look elsewhere. The psychiatrists are constantly changing, the counselors dont do anything productive, group time is just time to socialize with little to no oversight. School? hahahahaha not even close. They talk big about the program to start but its not worth the time or money. They dont listen to concerns, they push meds for what? my child attended for 8 weeks and was given diagnoses that contradict each other and the meds they prescribed. Our psychiatrist outside of the program was dumbfounded by the mess they made. In short, AVOID THIS PLACE. AVOID MESA SPRINGS COMPLETELY.

If you truly care about your child you will find another place for them to get treatment. They gave meds without consent from the parents. They will say your child suffers from ADHD when ours suffered from anxiety, despite already having a diagnosis from Cooks children days prior. A lazy diagnosis from lazy doctors and therapists there. Put him on ADHD meds which caused him to become more agitated and run away from the facility. They refused to stop him from running out and did nothing to help find him. Took 2 hours and 10 police officers to finally locate him.On top of that nightmare, his Therapists past experience was weight loss prevention and made a mess of his treatment which we have been struggling to undo. If it didnt happen to our own child it would almost be comical how poorly run this establishment is. Please do not allow anyone here to treat your child. I promise if you do you will regret it.
