I was seen as a walk-in due to an unexpected event, and I was in the process of looking for another provider. I have very high anxiety as a result from a previous procedure performed elsewhere. Once procedure and financial options explained, the staff insured me they would do everything possible to keep me pain-free and comfortable! I would to thank the staff as they kept their promise! Thank you team! I recommend you give them a try if you are looking for a dental provider.

The staff was all very amazing!! Everyone was so friendly and they went through all the details of the procedure and was completely up front about everything. The whole time I was there the nurse and doctor were concerned with my comfort and making sure I didn’t feel any pain!! By far the best dentist I’ve ever been to.

I am 42 years old and I have to say I HATE the dentist, BUT... this was the BEST experience that I have ever had in a dentist office.. I got my last wisdom tooth removed and a molar removed.. I was in and out of there quickly and 12hrs later I still feel very good!! I will definitely be going here for any of my dental needs for myself or my family.. I went to Afdent knowing they are the best in town. I have a phobia of being at the dentist, And they did everything they could to help me trough it mentally, I prefer a connection to comfort me, I prefer being talked to, non stop. The workers there did 100% of their jobs right, They couched me through, telling me I can do it, Gave me all they had to offer, Believed my pain, Didnt look at me like just some stranger. Its not easy for me to say I have a good time at the dentist, but its easy for me to say I felt safer at Afdent. Like i could depend on someone actually helping me more than I could help myself. I will happily return to Afdent for any more dental work Ill need. Thanks to everyone there.

Went in for emergency dentist stuff. came out (after waiting for two hours, not bad) with a $500 bill for x-rays, all the same teeth i came in with, a prescription for antibiotics i can’t take (amoxicillin lessens effects of estradiol, an HRT medication 🏳️‍⚧️), and a CD of my x-rays.they didn’t take any teeth out because my main problem tooth is right above a nerve. the first x-ray showed that but they’ve gotta make their money somehow, even if it’s from a broke student. thanks afdent for telling me what i already knew from my regular dentist!

After being with the same dentist for over 30 years I was very leary. Everyone was professional from the front desk when you walk in until you check out. Dr Salazar and her tech Sara was amazing. So kind. Reassuring. Explained everything. The billing girl (sorry I forgot your name) explained all expenses. Made a payment plan that was suitable for me. I will be going back.

Went in to have a tooth looked at because a piece broke off. Was taken care of right when I walked in didnt wait but 2 minutes to be seen. The assistant corrine was awesome she knew what she was doing and took great care of me. Not sure what the dentist name was that extracted my tooth but he did a great job as well! Would recommend to anyone!

Great dentist to work with. I drive a semi for a living and they are willing to work around my schedule. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs help, either by appointment or in their emergency walk in clinic.

The dentist and his assistant that did the actual removal was wonderful my other experience with the 22 different staff people that came in and out was both unnerving and irritable. I have only good things to say about the dentist that actually pulled my teeth everything else was a disaster. That also includes the three different people giving me three different prices for the same service and no one being able to explain how they got to three different sums of money for the same service

I went in for full extractions and dentures, and the staff are all very professional, and even 2 months after my procedure, I can call with any questions, and they are so helpful and compassionate. I never feel like a hassle or just another patient number. I liked them so much, my husband is going there too! Very comfortable pleasant experience.

I have never felt so comfortable at a dentist ever. It started when I couldnt pay the $50 co-pay. They said they could take a look at my teeth anyways because it was an emergency. Then I waited outside and my battery died after a bit. Someone from the front desk staff came outside to offer me assistance (see what happened, offered me a jump, and told me I could use the phone inside and I could wait inside the building). When I went back everyone was so kind and patient with me. The dentist took a look and said I would need a root canal and crown. He asked if I wanted it done today, I told him my situation regarding payment and they decided they could just take my insurance as down payment today. They even gave me laughing gas during my treatment for free. Everyone was so patient with me and kept reassuring me and telling me I was doing great. They gave me a blanket during my treatment to help ensure my comfort, and honestly Ive never had a better experience at the dentist. Ill DEFINITELY be going back.

We have been extremely impressed with our Afdent experience. Dr. Alford takes his time to explain everything and we feel that he really cares about the long term health of our sons mouth. They could not get me numb to extract a tooth.After 4 shots I was told this was as numb as they could get me and after he wrenched on my tooth while I was writhing in pain I was told I may need to go to an oral surgeon because he didnt know if he could get it out. I told them it had to come out at this point. So the Dr said he had to split my tooth to get it out, so the tooth was drilled so it could be split. I nearly passed out. I could feel it all. I am a tough person. I never complain about pain but this was mid evil. In will NEVER go back.

Nice enough people. But my lower partial denture has never fit right. Ive gone back multiple times. And it works for a day then hurts like heck and wont stay in. My full upper is pretty good. Not sure what to do they take the payment out every month for something I cant use.Rick Stephens

I went in for a free consultation after going without dental care for 5 years. I had some concerns and the hygienist and dentist were both very patient, caring, and showed me detailed photos of my teeth to explain the minor work I needed done. I was pretty anxious about the visit but left feeling reassured and eager to get back into regular cleanings. My first impression is very good.

I actually liked my visit and I was having a root canal done. The staff was engaging, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. I am normally also hard to numb. It doesn’t work on me like most people. For the first time ever, a dentist listened, and made sure I was all the way numb before the procedure. I didn’t have the normal painful visit I’ve always experienced. I finally don’t need to be anxious about dentist visits. I will definitely be going back for more work in the future.

Afdent was amazing I was having tooth pain n the my had to extract 2 teeth n they were all very kind n worked out payment plan for me . I felt like they made me comfortable as possible through procedure to they are excellent n I plan on going back there for future dental work as well.

I’ve never gotten any wisdom teeth pulled and usually don’t do well with mouth pain. The staff there did an amazing job though! I have two wisdom teeth out rn and when I woke up I remember asking are ya done? That right there shows the care they put in to each patient. Love this place and will keep going when needing dental work done.

As a person with a huge fear of the dentist and has a massive anxiety problem, I am so thankful for this place. I had been dealing with some extreme swelling and pain for awhile. After 2 hospital visits and alot of fear, I looked up Afdent. The staff was amazingly helpful. They even got me a blanket to help calm my anxiety! We did have to wait a bit because of how busy they were but they staff kept us updated and the dentist was very caring and did great work. They are a little on the pricey side but they have alot of payment options that they help you all the way through.

Dental work: I have had bonding done. Was very quick and painless. Lasted like 7 years! I also have had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed here. I felt very taken care of and no complications arose. Cleanings are always quick and to the point. Will continue to go to Afdent as long as I can.

My jaw hurt so bad after. It hurt to eat later that day. First gagged me me twice trying to do xrays. Then the tool she used to clean was different from the last time i was there. Ive been coming here a lot to have my teeth done this is the worst time Ive ever come the pain was so bad from all the other times.

I was incredibly nervous about coming in for a denture consultation. I had previously been to another dentist and decided to visit Afdent to compare pricing. My biggest fear was feeling embarrassed or feeling like just another patient. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with such a warm hello! The process was pretty quick. My nurse, I wish I wouldve written her name down, was amazing. I love that she was with me the whole entire process! She talked about financing options with me and scheduled everything. It made it feel a lot more personable and less like being passed from one person to another. Dr. J. was so lively and generally cared. I have never felt so truly cared about, in a medical setting. I will never go anywhere else for my dental needs! I highly recommend!!If you cant afford dentures and are having trouble being financed....quit wasting time! Schedule an appointment!

I just got home from my visit. This place was amazing, the people there are amazing, and I highly recommend anyone of any age to choose Afdent. The only problem was when I went to get my prescription I wasnt able to get the pain relief bc the doctors license number was expired. I have lived off Ibuprofen for a couple weeks and will not hold that against the doctor as life happens

Normally I have had a positive experience at Afdent Fort Wayne however, this past Wednesday was not. It started off waiting for 45 minutes during the wait I was told 2 people called in sick so they were running behind. When I finally got to a room everyone was rushing around trying to get me taken care of. I have terrible dental anxiety as it is, this situation did not help. Once the Nitrous was administered and the procedure started Dr. Prouty did a great job. I really like him as he truly seems to care for you and your comfort. Once he was done grinding out 3 cavities a young lady took over who did not seem to care as much for my comfort, she fish-hooked my cheek and stretched my mouth to the limit. I could tell she was frustrated with the situation and realized quickly that this should be a 2 person job but they were short staffed so one frustrated person was doing it. She worked on me for an hour and half. In that time my mouth dried out, I had flakes of resin coating the inside of my mouth from the filling and shaping of the filling. Finally another lady came in to assist this person, she immediately realized I needed to rinse my mouth out. She also got my filling shaped in minutes. I spent over 2 hours in that chair thinking, what is going on? Is this how this is supposed to be?If I had not had several positive experiences at Afdent I would not be going back however, this is the only truly negative or bad experience so I am willing to give them another shot.In conclusion, I am not blaming the young lady for the situation, she was just as frustrated as me. Next time there is a shortage of personnel Afdent should think about rescheduling people rather than forcing them to have a negative experience.

My appointment was at noon and I had a flat tire and when I called the girl was very nice and understanding and said I could come in at 1 instead. ❤❤They have always been very personable and makes you feel at home and comfortable.

I had an emergency walk in. The whole staff was so nice and helpful from helping me get signed in to helping me outside when it was done. The Drs that treated me were very good. I had 2 extractions and felt no pain during shots to numb me or the procedure to extract the teeth. Very professional group. I will be going to this dentist group from now on.

I first went to Afdent a long time ago on an emergency basis for a root canal & a crown. I was in so much pain & they told me to come right over. They fixed me all up & Ive been going there ever since. This place is run like a fine oiled machine. Very organized. There is very little waiting when you have an appointment. I had a cracked tooth and exposed nerve. I had no insurance and they still treated me with respect and professionally. Comforted me when I felt overwhelmed and never judged and worked with me for payment options and didnt treat me has a paycheck but has a patient in need and they made sure I was taken care of and I will stand by them for the way they treated me and my wife when we went there for help. 10/10 thank you everyone at Afdent Dentistry for your hard work.

I had to cancel my appointment for March and when I tried to reschedule for April there was nothing available. There was a noon appointment I could have for cleaning only. Exactly what I needed. Josette was my hygienist and she was so kind and understanding. She made me feel very comfortable and didn’t mind my nervous chatter. My dentist was also very nice & explained things so I had a clear understanding (Dr. Salazar I believe). I also left with a print out of my next treatment plan.

Everyone I was with today was very helpful and friendly. I was worked right in and my problems were taken care of and any options were discussed. Very good experience for going to the dentist! Will be going back.

I like that they have gone paperless. They added little kiosks in the office for you to fill out information on, they send only the info sheets they need from you to the kiosk, and they even have little latex finger covers for you. I like that there is a duplicate screen in front of you in the dental exam room where you can see everything your hygienist or dentist types or clicks on. I like that my hygienist scheduled my next appointment in the exam room so I didnt have to stop at the front desk again on the way out.My only complaint today was waiting a little while (about 10 minutes) for the dentist to come in and check after my cleaning was done. Which Im guessing is normal but of course we all have to get back to work and feel impatient.

Been to the Fort Wayne office 7 or 8 times in the last year and a half. The whole staff has been friendly and professional. They have answered every question I have had in simple understandable terms. The doctor has been very informative and helpful. In today’s world it is rare to see a business so dedicated to such quality customer service. The dental work has also been top notch.

Very professional and organized. I have been with them for three years from cleanings to crowns they make the process simple. I’m retired and I appreciate the fact they accept Medicare. Our family dentist refused to accept my current insurance situation and kicked me to the curb.
