Dr Shane Laster and Team,Thank you so much for your excellent care of my eyes today.Everyone is so friendly and professional. I appreciate every one of you.Dr Laster has been my optometrist for 18 years.He is the best!His office staff is friendly and efficient. His tech’s and Optical department are experienced and knowledgeable.I can’t praise y’all enough.

My husband has glaucoma but sees a different doctor at a different clinic for this. He told the front desk, the nurse, and Dr. Laster that this was just a routine I exam so that he could order contacts. They ignored this and charged us for a specialty exam. Which means his two vision insurance cannot be charged only his medical.So now we are out of pocket $130 on top of the cost of contacts. We Won’t be going back.

We sent one of our managers to Eye Group MD due to a mix up, as our local eye care center is Laster Eye Care. Eye Group prescribed them 1 full diopter stronger than the proper Lasters prescription for 1 year, upon returning to Laster Eye Care it was found Eye Group MD did not properly measure the eyes of the manager and caused him headaches for 1 year for too strong contacts. Laster got this resolve and the proper prescription.

I took my baby boy here yesterday for his first eye appointment (hes almost 2) they were all very nice and polite and couldnt get over his beautiful red hair. He was tired and didnt really want to sit still, Seth was great with him and was able to preform the exam anyway. I will be going back.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Laster for 8 years and I trust him and his staff 100%. He caught my keratoconus very early on so I was able to get the surgery and treatment that I needed before it progressed too far. Jaimie helped gather the medical records and documentation that I needed for my surgery in a huge time crunch for my insurance to approve it. Jody has helped with my contacts and glasses since my first appointment and her and Jaimie have become two people that I call friends. I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Laster and his staff. Even after moving to Bentonville, I will keep making the drive to this office in Fort Smith.

Went here 2 years ago and returned because the first time was a great experience. This time I waited in the room after they said the doctor would be in within a few minutes, 30min later I went to ask how much longer since I had already had my eye exam and was just waiting in the little room. I didnt have time to pick out my frames after such a long wait so I went back the next day and all the girls were in the back talking. Nobody helped pick out glasses which was the main reason I came back. Plus there is a tall, thin, brown haired girl who was complaining about customers both times I visited. Will not be back.

Dr.Laster has been my Dr for over 14 years!! Hes very knowledgeable and friendly. Hes great with kids and his staff is the best!! I definitely recommend going to him. He is also great in an emergency! My brother got a piece of metal in his eye welding and he was able to get him in the same day and get it out!! Thank you Dr. Laster!!

Overall I felt like the eye exam was very thorough unlike other places I have been to. Dr. Laster wasnt very friendly, maybe he was having a bad day who knows. But my true complaint is that I ordered a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. They estimated 2 weeks for the glasses and 3 weeks for the sunglasses. I was told they would call me whenever each of them was ready. After 3 1/2 weeks I finally called them because I hadnt heard anything about them being ready. They asked youve already picked up one of the pairs correct? And I said no, I havent gotten a single phone call. Sure enough both pairs had been ready and just sitting there for who knows how long. The worst part is they didnt even acknowledge the fact that they didnt call me whatsoever when I called or when I came to pick them up.

If you want fashionable glasses this is the place to go! Not only is the selection of eye wear awesome but the staff is the best. They are always willing to do whatever it takes to get you as the patient taken care of. Very fun and inviting environment. Best optometrist & staff in town hands down.

Dr. Laster strives to provide the best care to his patients and succeeds in doing so daily. He has the latest technology for detecting and treating numerous eye conditions and is always on the look out for things that could serve patients better. Highly recommend him to anyone looking for top quality eye care.

This was my first time to use Dr. Laster and I couldnt be more happier with him and his staff..staff is very friendly and helpful..he will definitely be my eye doctor from now on.

I wouldnt go to anyone else. Several years ago, I had an eye injury, with an infection 4 days before Christmas and Dr Laster came into the office everyday, including Sat/Sun, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and through the New Years holidays, just to see if my eye was getting better or worse. He saw me everyday for 30 or more days and then we tapered off. Allin all, I was in his office From December to February. I dont know of any Dr that would do this, and not charge anything. He considered these as followup appts. Amazing, but true....

Im getting my glasses here in 2 or 3 weeks people are really nice there I chose A cool black one love it and recommend it

Pros: Everyone is very friendly and especially kids friendly. While I was getting a comprehensive eye exam, I appreciate all of Doctor Laster’s team! They were all kind and had wonderful patience with my 3 years old and 11 months old. Furthermore, my new prescriptions is excellent because it made a wonderfull difference in my vision.Cons: I would have rated it 5, however; none of the frames had price tags to help me gauge my budget based off my insurance allowance. I believe the sales person in the eyeglasses department was too aggressive in making sales. She was very helpful in the beginning, but when the price was above my overhead, did not meet with my budget, and I tried to re-explained that I am only interested in what my insurance offers for VSP brand frames and ones that are strictly “Premier Program” she appeared to be less helpful. The following week, I was concern with meeting with the contact lenses department for fear of the same aggressive sales behavior. Luckily, she was very kind, provide the various brand contacts, prices, and was absolutely pleasant with me shopping around for more affordable prices. Unfortunatley, after placing an order online for Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatisms through a retail company, I was denied due to doctors records shows different brand (Acuvue Vita for Astigmatisms) of contact lenses. I surly hope this is an error and I am not forced to wear what I’ve never worn before.
