Wanted to test our Aussie puppy herding instincts for farm work and Rio had a wonderful time and experience. Mike was welcoming upon our arrival and he’s filled with knowledge and information for what he does with the animals and dogs at this farm. Definitely will come back again in our next drive down between our homes (Miami Beach or Cashier, nc). Arrive early to find the place, bring water (humans/dog), snack and chill for the day at the farm

I have heard so many great reviews about Mike and the farm so I decided to finally give it a try. This was an amazing experience for my 2 year old Aussie. It was much more than I could have imagined. You have to witness this in person to really appreciate Mike and his great energy and handling with the sheep and your dog. He is so patient and professional as he helps to bring out your dogs natural instincts. I will definitely be back!

So much fun. We brought our two Aussies to build their confidence and see if they had the herding instint. They loved it. We will return. Bonding experience you wont regret.

Fantastic place all around. If you have any form of herding dog this is a must try. There is nothing like seeing your pup instinctively do what it was bred to do.

Draxen Farms is my border collies favorite place on earth. Hawkeye has become a sheep addict. He loves Mike and Luann. They are THE BEST! And they make you feel like family. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Great trainer, great location. First time for my Briard to herd sheep. He did great. Mike is a genuine great guy and owner.

We have been interested in coming to Draxen farms after hearing about it from a fellow dog owner at a dog park. We went today and I have to say it surpassed my every expectation. Dream come true to see my dog herding the sheep. Mike and LuAnne were both fantastic and very knowledgeable about the sheep and the dogs. Very fun time and my dog is exhausted after all the hard work and fun he got to have. I will definitely go back again and again(I’d probably move there if they’d have me, I just loved it!). Thanks again Mike and LuAnn! I really appreciate that you do this. It’s great for the animals and us humans.

Too many dogs and not enough handlers. My dog trained for 7 minutes then had to wait almost 1 hour before her turn again.

Amazing place for dogs. Mike is so good with dogs - the first 2 times he met our ‘aggressive’ rescue, she was standoffish and nipped him - now they are best friends.

Amazing experience. Mike is very intuitive with animals he works with each individul dog according to where they are and what they need. Very incredible experience for your dog it will make their doggy heart sing.

Every dog should experience this! Mike is amazing and our mini-aussie loves to work the sheep. Despite the 4 hour (RT) drive, we look forward to coming back :)
