My doctor retired last year (great doctor). Since that time, IMA has yet to assign me a new doctor. Turn over is bad and you can’t speak with anyone on the phone. Trying to get a prescription refilled is a nightmare.

I love Dr. Allen, she listens and try’s to help with a beneficial solution.

My dr. left IMA. I received a letter informing me about this. It also listed 3 drs. who are taking new patients. I called one and their first appointment is in February! They will not refill prescriptions until they see you. The receptionist told me to call IMA, so I did. That receptionist said that I have to see a dr. or nurse practioner just to get refills. So, I have to pay my copay to get a prescription refilled. It seems to me that IMA is unorganized. They dont have any plan in place when one of their doctors leaves. Also, the IMA receptionist told me all about how my doctor left, I.e., office politics. I dont care how your doctor left, I just want my prescriptions refilled. Very unprofessional!

Several months ago received a call from a clerk from IMA, Fort Myers Billing stating that I owed a co pay of $30. I told the clerk that there must be some mistake that I always pay my bills at the office visit. She stated again you had several months to pay in a rude manner. I told her that it was a well visit was the reason why the co pay was not paid.In the next few weeks I received a letter stating that I cancelled my Dr. Leppert. Never every did I cancel my doctor, its obvious either the first clerk or Linda Masters deliberately cancelled my relationship with my doctor. I then called her supervisor Nancy, do not have her last name. She stated the two person that I stated were rude had other complaints. She stated that she would take care of everything and call me back. Never received a message back and when I recently tried to order medication I was told I am no longer a patient after over 10 years.I asked to speak to my Doctor even though Nancy stated she most likely was not aware that you were cancelled. I was told I could not speak to her. Tried to speak with the area manager and was told he does not speak to patients. Its shameful that a patient is removed from their Dr, Leppert, for no reason without written documentation, even when they made the mistake and removed the $30 co pay.

I called my Doctors office to get the results of a chest x-ray. The recptionist read the results to me. When I asked a question about the results, she said that she would have the nurse call me back. I havent heard a word from anyone. This isnt the first time I have had problems with them returning my calls. Time to find a different Doctor I guess even though I have been a patient over 10 years.
