Couldnt be more pleased with choosing The Palms when making the tough decision to help a parent move to another chapter of life. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and the residents have multiple daily activities or off site trips to choose from. The staff are all friendly and helpful and that was so important. They have handled the Covid situation with care and flexibility. The food is great, simply really good and healthy, great work by the chef and staff. I commend all the staff for doing such a good job with the residents and would like to give thanks to more, but Im so thankful to Maxine at the front desk for simply being fantastic looking out for my mom, and Steve (Independent Living Administrator) for going well above and beyond his already busy schedule and providing personalized care that I just cant give high enough accolades for. April 2015 I made a frantic call to The Palms PRAYING they had a room in memory care AND assisted living for my mom and dad, truly a miracle they did! I knew in my heart then, we were in the right place. Married 56 years, mom diagnosed with dementia sent dad into a mental mess. Not wanting to separate them was our goal and The Palms made it happen! Mom lived a couple years down in memory care and dad is still on 5th floor assisted living. The staff on both floors were so good at keeping them “ together “ as much as possible.During this time of Covid the staff has gone above and beyond, we his family are so very grateful for the wonderful staff, service, and true concern for his well being. This has been difficult for all of us and they have taken the concern of his well being off of our minds. We know he is safe!!!!I tell everyone The Palms is the BEST! If I’m ever in need, it’s where I’d like to live!Thank you Elaine the front desk guru! Odille, a kind gentle soul! Denise, a great caring “Dr”, Diana and Laura for getting us in! We placed my Dad in the Palms on 11/1/19...pretty much against his wishes. Our earliest personal visual observations along with his indicated that maybe he was too healthy for his first facility after owning homes his whole life.I visited him twice in the first 10 weeks (from Michigan) and he seemed to be acclimating quite well. We all really like Laura and Steve which are the on site mgmt team....but also the staff as they genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and mingling with the guests. Dad was in love with the food and clean pool and hot tub. Not so much in love with the area which is pretty commercial as he loves to walk and is used to better scenery. We are bringing him home to Michigan for the summer months but in a conversation with him this past weekend he wondered if we could keep up with the quality of food he is used to! This was an experience neither he nor we thought would go as well as it did. I attribute that to the excellent staff.

I am so glad that I chose the Palms of Fort Myers for my Mom. The facilty is beautiful and all the employees are very polite. Diana has been truly helpful in every way. The food is good and the portions are just right. I am recommending The Palms to all my friends. Thank you each and everyone .

My dad recently encountered the beginnings of Parkinson’s, my Mom, siblings and I were distraught and uncertain as to next steps. We positioned him at The Palms, October 2019 and have been more than pleased with their nurturing, care giving, family meals, daily events/interaction and ongoing commitment to our family. My parents lived in unit 327 for almost 3 years. This is a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment in independent living. The management and staff at the Palms were wonderful meeting or exceeding there needs throughout their time there. The meals were chef driven and always delicious as well as nutritional. We were able to add additional services as the need arrose. All were available for a very reasonable price. I cant say enough about the very personal service they were given. Edward Ellyatt

My mom is about to turn 94! She has lived at The Palms for about 31/2 years and because Ive moved to Naples, Im moving her the the sister community closer to me. From the moment you step inside- there is an atmosphere that is so positive and upbeat. Laura Davis, the sales director, has been an angel atop my shoulder from the moment I met her. The staff truly cares about taking care of people. I highly recommend The Palms to anyone who is looking for a home for a loved one. My name is Susan Thompson and I am a caregiver with Executive Care, we work with the Pace program. The staff at the Palms are all Angels and the head An gel is Gary, ED. Gary and his staff are kind, caring, loving and helpful. Every time you ask anyone of the staff members they help right away. The food is delicious and Corporate is very lucky to have a staff that is conscious about helping everyone.

My brother-in-law just started living at the Palms, and everyone has been so amazing! He loves it, we love it. The food is great, the people go out of their way to help (and weve needed it several times from several different groups, from front desk to maintenance to activities to therapy). The facility is in great shape, there is always something to do. The residents seem great and friendly too. Highly recommend it!

My Mom has lived at The Palms for more than 5 years now. We moved her from a similar facility in Tucson, AZ so she could be close to the family here in Fort Myers. From the very first day she fell in love with her apartment, the staff and the many residents she now calls close friends. The entire staff at The Palms are FIRST CLASS professionals! They go out of their way to help every resident feel like it is truly their home! Mom absolutely raves about the staff... everyone, especially the servers in the dinning room always have a smile and a kind word for their residents. The maintenance personal are always so helpful too. Everyone there gets into the many events with high enthusiasm and they always have something to do for the residents. I absolutely recommend you check this place out for someone you love too.

My dad has been at the Palms for 5 years. He started in Independent Living and most recently move to Assisted Living. The staff is wonderful and always happy to help with any question or problem that we might have with him. I cant say enough about each and everyone one of the staff and now with him living in Assisted Living , its made his life so much easier. They are so caring and considerate of him and no problem that he may have is too big for them. I love each and everyone of them !

We moved my parents into The Palms in July. I am totally amazed at how friendly all the staff are. I toured about a dozen retirement communities and this was the only one where all staff members say hello and smile. They are so helpful, even after my parents have moved in. They have more activities than most communities, although I would like to see some creative/artsy activities be added. The food is great, and the everyday menu is way more extensive than most communities. Great place, great people!

Best independent and assisted living in Lee County. Customer service is exceptional in every department - managers and staff. Every employee is upbeat, friendly and make you feel at home. The Palms staff show love and compassion to all residents and families. Great communication and follow-thru. The most important aspect for me is peace of mind knowing my loved one is well taken care of.

Our mom started her assisted living journey at Calusa Harbour and then transferred to the Palms, memory care (BTR). I knew in an instant mom was home. The transition was seamless. I was impressed with all the amenities offered as I periodically came to escort mom out of BTR so she could be part of the activities with other residents. The staff across the board were customer service oriented and Ive referred to your facility as a People First one. From the person that answered the phone to the folks in activities, from maintenance to care providers, and dining staff in BTR, I must compliment your staff on exceeding my familys expectations. Staff are genuine and seem so proud to work here. The extra efforts do not go unnoticed.

My mom has been here for 8 years, three of those years with my father. We picked The Palms after researching more than a dozen facilities and we have not been disappointed. The level of care my 83-year-old Type 1 Diabetic mother has received is caring, and goes above and beyond what I expected. Its about the people. They genuinely care. As with any facility, a family member needs to be an advocate. Without the involvement of a family member, even the best facility can go off track. I cannot stress the importance of this enough. If I had to make the decision again, it would still be The Palms.

My in-laws moved in here recently and they both love it. Everyone is so kind and there are always activities going on when I stop by to visit.

My grandmother has been in the memory care unit for 3.5 years now, and although there are occasional issues, overall the level of care is wonderful. I would happily recommend this facility to anyone needing a locked assisted living arrangement.

The Palm of Fort Myers has absolutely been home to my Dad for several years. He has moved to Assisted Living now and he is treated with grace and dignity. Moving to a retirement community was a difficult but necessary decision for my parents. After touring several other facilities, and The Palms (multiple times), we decided this was to be their new home. My parents settled in wonderfully and quickly made friends by dining with other residents and participating in activities. Mom loves bingo, chair volleyball and cornhole and Dad has a gentleman he plays pinochle with. This well maintained facility has good food and features a library, chapel, outdoor pool and a rehabilitation gym. Residents are offered group trips for errands and even special outings such as the symphony at the local auditorium.I cannot express the gratitude I have for the friendly staff: Angie in the dining room, Tina with housekeeping and in particular, the sales manager, Laura. From our very first visit, Laura’s patience, kindness and understanding have exceeded my expectations. Laura’s title may suggest that she is the person dealing with tours and contracts, but in fact she makes a point to be part of the resident’s daily lives. She has often gone out of her way to touch base with and help my parents. Laura even aquired a high chair for the dining room so that my young son could dine with his grandparents when he visits. Her compassion for the residents is amazing.I am so glad that my parents chose and love The Palms and it loves them back!

We could not have asked for better care for our parents who lived out their lives at The Palms. Odile, the Residential Manager of Assisted Living, took care of any issue that arose. She was professional, kind and compassionate. She always responded to our concerns and worked to provide the best quality of life for our loved ones. She counseled us in times of need and her door was always open. Elaine, LPN and the CNA staff were kind and caring and treated our parents and us like family. We felt like a team and were included in all decisions right to the very end. Everyone from Elaine and Maxine at the Front Desk to the Maintenance Crew to the Dining Room Servers were top-notch! We would recommend The Palms not only for the best value overall but for the excellent care that the Assisted Living Facility provided. Thank you to everyone!

I took mom there last week to check it out. It was like walking into the lobby of a hotel. There was a group of residents gathered around a fireplace with a singer entertaining them. They had punch and snack that they passed out while the singer was performing. We sat down down to watch and the staff came over to greet us. It was nice that despite the many residents the staff knew that mom was not a resident, at least yet. We have looked at a few residences, but this experience impressed us.

We looked at many places for my mother and were referred to The Palms by acquaintances and the experience couldnt have been better. From the units and amenities, the meals, activities and overall quality of life; The Palms scored really high in my book. While all that is good, what sets The Palms apart is the friendly and caring staff. We had the pleasure of working with Move In Coordinator Diana Hernandes who, along with all the other staff, made my mother feel completely at home. While there are always transition issues, Diana and the rest of the trained staff really cared for and assisted my mom with such love and compassion which help us out too. I cant speak more highly of The Palms.

My blind 92 year old mother has been a resident for I think almost four years. Im her very hard to please 74 year old daughter who is absolutely delighted with the care she receives; caring, attentive, professional care.

This is a great place to send your parents if you want them dead in under 90 days.To administrator: Your facility neglected my mother until she got bed sores and died, just months after moving in.The Palms is an abomination.

I have to give prays to one of your employees!! I don’t have family here but after today we will definitely consider looking into this place. I was at the grocery store with my Mom, trying to push a cart and a wheel chair in the rain at the same time wasn’t the smartest thing I have ever done, I was thinking of taking Mom to the car and coming back for the grocery cart when this nice young lady asked if she could help, taking her up on the offer she helped put our bags in the car and helped me get my mom in as well, she lifted the wheel chair and put it in the trunk, I offered to tip her and she refused, she was soaking wet and I felt horrible! It stopped raining and she introduced herself. ( and for the life of me I can’t remember her name) she said that she works at The Palms and it was her pleasure to help and if we ever wanted to come by to take a look around to come into the Dining Room and lunch was on her, when you go into a place and everyone is warm and friendly is one thing but when know one is looking is when it counts, for her to be such a kind soul to me and my Mom made such great impression on usWe will definitely be in and we just want to say Thank You!! Took a tour with my mom, was very impressed we have been to many communities and this one made us feel right at home, moving to Fort Myers soon and will be back with Mom!

A few years ago - I drove a van for a medical transport company - and at that time The Palms was an impressive facility, and Ive seen most if not all of the assisted and independent living facilities in Lee and Collier county. Now that my dad is needing a little more help - I suggested he go and take a visit. Weve taken two tours - and I couldnt be more impressed. He really feels comfortable there (although he was 100 percent AGAINST moving out of his home), and is now signed up for the waiting list and complaining that its taking too long.We were able to have a wonderful lunch there - which I was actually very impressed with. The restaurant style menu and the service were fantastic - they go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience, and the food was MUCH better than I would have expected.Ive been so sincerely impressed with the admissions process, and everyone Ive met there has been there for YEARS, and seems to really like their job there. Its nice to see a place without much turnover, and to know that my dad feels not only comfortable, but seems to be looking forward to what could be a difficult transition. Its making what could be a very hard thing very easy!

My grandmother has been in the memory care unit for a few years now, and there are not enough good things I can say about how great this home is. Nice facility, great activities, good food and an overall wonderful staff.

My wife, Tiffany Glass, has been a Care Manager in Southwest Florida for 8 years with our private company Clear Choice Elder Healthcare Solutions, LLC. Odile Plancher, Assisted Living Director at The Palms, and her floor nurse, Michelle, recently assisted Tiffany in resolving an issue with one of her clients. The medical concern was quickly addressed by Odile and Michelle with a follow-up plan. All staff at the Palms are very good with communication and follow-thru in every area of service. This client has been there over 7 years. He was very happy in Independent Living and he is even happier in Assisted Living, realizing he needed to move to a higher level of care (assisted living) to ensure his needs were met. The Palms staff made this an easy transition for him. Tiffany goes to many senior care facilities in the area and relays whenever she can that the Palms is the best.
