This is my first time going to a salon in NJ and I had a good first experience. Cindy highlighted my hair perfectly and then curled it for me. I was really satisfied with the service I got for the price. She was really friendly and nicely advised me on what was best for my hair. The aesthetic of the salon was really modern and clean. I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend this place!!

Trying to find a new hair salon since I recently have moved to NJ. I don’t recommend this place at all. First of all, a hair cut for $50 in NJ is too pricey even considering pandemic. Especially a haircut I got. I told her to cut my hair short but still I need to tie up my hair but not just straight cut. But layered cut. She told me that’s not possible. She needs to cut it longer to make my hair layered so I told her she can do whatever she thinks it’s the best for my hair. She cut my hair way tooooooo short even though she was the one told me she isn’t going to cut too short because she needs to cut longer to do layered haircut. I can’t even tie up my hair. I can barely tie up hair on the back and front hairs falls out. I would not definitely go back there. I don’t know why people have 5 stars. Also she was very negative person in general.

My FAVORITE hair salon of all time. I always get the BEST perm & haircut from this place and it is something, because I have gotten perm numerous times at pretty fancy hair salons in Korea.Cindy is always very kind and knows exactly what I want and her skills are superb.Hope this place stays around during this tough time, and re-opens once the quarantine is over. Stay strong!

I have been going to this salon for over two years since they opened, for both haircuts and dyeing my hair. I highly recommend this salon!! The salon is very clean and modern and comfortable. I am always satisfied with how Cindy brings out the color in my hair. Hugo specializes in dry haircuts which I always go back for. I always hear from other people “where did you get your haircut?” And I always recommend Jaya. Thank you Hugo and Cindy!

The quality of haircut you get here is head and shoulders above what you will get anywhere else. Hugh does a dry cut, which not many stylists are trained to do well and he is excellent.

Loveeee coming here to get my hair done! Even though I have to cross GW bridge to come everytime. I wish I can come more often to get my hair done. Owner/stylist cindy always makes me look and feel so special and pretty! She knows what I like and what suits me the best for me! I highly recommend this salon ;)

Excellent salon! First rate cutting and styling services at very reasonable prices. The salon is very clean, modern and nicely decorated. The stylists are very professional and friendly. The waiting area is comfortable. Credit cards are accepted but there is a discount for cash payments.

My wife got her haircut from Hugh Kim who is a master and pays attention to details. We have been going to the former salon for almost 15 years and am impressed with the interior changes and new talent! Thank you very much and good luck in Fort Lee.Addition from 3/17/18... I got my haircut by Cindy today and wow! 5+ stars. Fantastic job. Been getting my haircut in NY and Seoul for 20 years although I have been letting it get shaggy and let my wife cut it on occasion.

Got my hair done.. Hugh used to work at Sahag workshop in the city. I know dry cutting is great for thick-haired people who needs to remove bulk, even if it takes about an hour. It was hard to find a stylist who can handle REAL dry cutting in NJ. I think Hugh is the only one handles the original New York dry hair cut in this area. My layers were all smooth and no edge and I know it will last longer. Love 100% the way how he tailored my hair.

I don’t highly recommend this place. Too pricey for her very little effort.NO blow dry after haircut. Wasted my money. Never going back.

Good place to get womans haircut.

I was so lucky to walk in Jaya hair salon. Ever since my old hair stylist went back to Japan, I was looking for new hair stylist and finally I found one after three years of searching.Hugh does dry cut and my hair looks like I just walk out of hair salon after washing the hair at home. No high maintenance and look amazing.Make sure you give enough time for yourself because it would take 1 1/2hr to cut.I got so many complements!

I’ve been looking for a hairdresser who can do both haircut and styling/perms well. It has been the one way or the other. I am glad I finally found someone who can do both well. Cindy was very knowledgeable and gave me good styling advice based on the thickness/health of my hair. Also very nicely new decorared salon.

The search is finally over. This place was my 8th try in Fort Lee/Palisades Park area, and by far offered the best experience.

This is the best Korean hair salon I’ve tried so far in greater nyc area for long hair’s wave perm. Cindy was very professional and has enormous experiences overall in Korea and NewYork. Totally worth to cross the GW bridge from Manhattan.

Cindy is the best hair designer I ever met.I feel like I found treasure place for my hair style.

She was really skillful, and she knew what she was doing. She chose the perfect shade for my roots touch-up. Hugh and Cindy were both personable. Not long ago, I was just getting my hair cut and permedMy hair was completely melted and I was so angry at how the cut was cut like thisThe price is not cheap compared to other places, but the owner of the house said that this is also cheap... If a short cut perm is $120, its not cheap...

It was a place I searched for and was very satisfied^^It was a 40-minute drive away from where I was, but Im happy to visit again today!They both have good skills and talk a lot so that they dont get bored while doing their hair. They recommended nearby restaurants, so I ate delicious Korean food in a short time^^When I first visited, I dyed and cut my hair, and I dyed my roots today. Satisfaction is 100!
