The staff was very pleasant The place of business is very clean the doctors and the nurses explain everything clearly to you where you can understand the procedure that i was having. I recommend Aran Eye Associates very highly to anyone needing to have eye surgery. I can see clear Since I had the surgery.

Personnel, and actual patient care by them is excellent, but online messages sent, re: scheduling, and the need to go to multiple locations in two different counties after surgery isnt very user friendly. Need an ombudsman for patients to seek information from and express concerns to? Very difficult to get information, IE: schedule changes sent out from Aran that happen unilaterally with no notice or explanation as to why, or what to expect or how long is needed for whatever. Try not to become a medical mill and acknowledge your patients are individuals with not only trepidation but might have legitimate concerns. Perhaps a Secret Shopper would help to point out minuscule operational changes that may be needed but staff might be oblivious to because everything seems OK !

Cant get an appointment, period.They do not ever call you backwith an appointment time.I waited weeks.Then i finally get a text and it is scheduled for 3 month from now.I mentioned to them it is urgent. Has to do with Retina.Nobody cares.Really not a reliable place to go for eye care.

This practice is an absolute scam! They book you for tests, collect copay and only do 1 test and then try to schedule c or another visit and payment for more tests. Trying to reach by phone is impossible. Call decision tree does not allow speaking to real person!

I arrived at 3:00 PM for a 3:15 PM appointment. As of 6:00 PM, my father has not seen a physician. The staff are friendly, and compassionate, but no thought is given to how patients experience care. Twelve patients are triaged/pretested then they all wait for hours. As the patient population is older, this is practically abuse. Patients are napping in the waiting room. Absolutely no thought has been put into how patients experience care. Go somewhere else. Go anywhere else. This office does not value a patients time, and dehumanizes the patient experience. Avoid this office. The clinicians may be competent, but this process is demoralizing, and stressful for patients and families.

I am blind in my left eye due to a cataract. My first appt.was to make sure I needed cataract surgery, then proceed to front desk to find out the surgery is June 29th, original appt. was mid April and I have to wait till June 29th for the surgery!

I work for a primary care clinic and we refer patients here all the time. I am currently as I type this review sitting in their lobby have been sitting here for 15 minutes now without anyone greeting me, I haven’t seen a single person here yet. The reason for me being here is because we’ve been trying to reach this office for 2 weeks have left voicemails, emails, faxes to obtain records for 7 mutual patients and it’s so bad that I had to drive here myself to speak to someone. This is unacceptable. I am literally here to beg for our patients record, one of which is having surgery and we won’t be able to clear her without it. My recommendation is, if you want a place with professionalism and a place that you will be able to REACH once you leave their office, please don’t come here. When have you heard of a manager having to go to s specialist office to get records because they WILL NOT answer their phones.

Through explaind every test and end the end gave me all my opptions. Very pleased.

They are the slowest doctors office ever. Come in at 9am for a 9:15am appt and have to leave at 11::30 without seeing the doctor, because you didn’t think it would take 2.5 hours for eye doctor and you have to go back to work!! Come back and Same issue! Do not come unless you have 3 hours to be there! And so not be late because they will not see you either. They book 10 people per hour and see 3 each hour.

I have been nicely attended during my visits and have nothing against them regarding personal attention. My issue is with their phone system. I received an email to create an account on their Patient Portal for which I am supposed to have a token they provide. When called, they have 3 level menu with a total of 18 options, with Customer Service being the very last one; and every time I selected it, says it is unavailable, and call ends. Not a single option for a live person. There is a limited timeframe to create the account and apparently, I will be unable to do it on this basis.

This is absolutely the worst office ever!!! I do not like to complain about businesses but this one deserved a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. If this is the only office your insurance company can send you to locally, choose another county. The staff is HORRIBLY rude and the surgical departments staff is non-existent because you can NEVER speak to anyone over the phone. Surgery appointments get rescheduled over and over again without your permission, you are just left to their mercy. This place is awful. It continues to get worst and worst. My mother has Medicare and this is the only eye surgery facility available to her in the tri-county area. Believe me, if this was not the case, she WOULD NOT BE RECEIVING SERVICES HERE. Weve been dealing with their awful service for years but I finally had enough and had to complain.

So my cousins surgery is scheduled for next week but Aran never sent paperwork to the Primary. The facility where my cousin lives needed orders to get pre-op EKG. That never came. I have probably called the office at least 20 times. One time I actually got a person on the phone who said she would send paperwork. It never came. Its unbelievable that Aran is still in business. I have never had a worse experience dealing with a doctors office. At the last appt. where they measured her eye we waited 3 hours! Anyway, we will be finding another group to do the cataract surgery. After writing this review I will be contacting the AMA.

After seeing the Dr. In Nov. 2019 made an appointment for Nov 2,2020. They called a week before to confirm my appointment.when I got there was told that they couldnt see me because they didnt have a referral.sai I had to make another appointment when they received a referral Muy daughter had to use some of her sick leave hrs to take me to the appointment,which was a waste,they could have told me that when the appointment was was made or when they called to confirm. I called back today( Nov 4 2020 to tell them that my Drs office said that they sent the referral on yesterday got transferred to someone else who never picked up the phone for me to make another appointment

This practice should be shut down. I came here with an emergency appointment. The first thing I noticed was how rude and disorganized the front desk staff are. This was later confirmed when trying to get a prescription that they were trying to call in. The doctor is also extremely defensive and argumentative. I came back the same day to ask for something to help ease the discomfort of dilation and he accused me of not being satisfied with the job he had done- which I was. I ended up having to make an appointment elsewhere.

I have been going to Aran eye associates for many years. I recommend them to everyone. Dr. Aran is the best of the many surgeons that I have been treated by. The staff is professional and knowledgeable.

Time management and general service is real bad .....Took my grandmother for eye check up and they basically kept doing the same test which was done 3 times before her regular doctor. We came in at 1:30pm and still didnt get to see the doctor till 7pm. They kept making my grandmother and other elderly patients just wait and do random test which makes no sense.

The worst time management is an understatement. Senior negligence and its all a cattle call. Mom had surgery they couldnt get the right paperwork. My primary even commented on the miscommunication all offices. Then they had to reschedule her surgery since the first one done was incorrect. Stuff still oozing out of her out since surgery 5 wks. No show from doctor, call to reschedule and no one returns your call in 3 days. The worst.

The people who work here have no customer service or empathy. I Schedule an appointment gave then my insurance info when I schedule the appointment to ensure that they were in my network. I specifically asked if they were, I was told yes. Per my insurance website there is a list of Doctors at that location thats in my network. When I got there none of the doctor in my network was at the location. So I wasted almost 2 hrs waiting and then had to leave. The staff so nonchalant about their mistake, she had a take it or leave it demeanor. I would never recommend anybody to this place. The staff is so rude. They messed up and not even offered to reschedule my appointment with a doctor in my network.Dont waste your time going there.

I thought I could leave a better review because the visit started well . But nearly 5 hours later I cant do it. Had appointment for mom cataract surgery and 7:15am. Was told we should be done by 9:30 am. Staff is nice enough but not extraordinary. But literally 5 hours later and we are not done!! I am writing this as I wait for my mom. I was told try to be in the first grouping to get done sooner but obviously not the case. Wow .

I was there(Galleria Office) today 3/22/19, saw Dr Lane and was very pleased with his exam. The only problem I had was there was a question I forgot to ask the receptionist (Mary) so I called when I got home, its almost impossible to get a hold of a live person to answer. It rang and rang until finally it got to a point where the call was disconnected by itself. Called another location and told them, they gave me an extension # to call , I did, no luck either. Finally I gave up. I have an upcoming laser surgery with Dr.Fabrega and I guess Ill find out then. As far as the Drs. Theyre excellent. Dr. Aran took care of my cataract surgery about 4 yrs. Ago, he was the best. Please do something about the phones. Thank you.

They schedule 20 patients at the same time...they dont have even time to explain paperwork, sticking you a big Bill (Never explained, the bill will surprise you later) Save your money and do it oversees, this days you can get the same procedures for 90% cheaper In S. Ive been trying to contact the Surgery Scheduling Department for over 2 weeks. No one answers the phone, and no one returns callsHi Im editing my review a whole month later just to add that the phones are still not being answered.

I had a procedure done here by Dr. Arnulfo Mansur on April 24th 2018 to correct something called Pterygium which causes the white part of your eye to become red. I want to start by saying the office and staff there were very pleasant. Who I am very dissatisfied with is Dr. Arnulfo Mansur who was the one who performed the procedure on my left eye. I went to a follow up on May 10th (2 weeks post op) and expressed my concerns because the redness did not lighten up. I was told that the redness will be gone within 2-3 months of the procedure. It has now been 1 YEAR and 4 MONTHS and the redness NEVER went away! I saw a different Dr there at the same office about 3 times discussing my concerns with the procedure not doing what it was meant to and the redness still being there. They stated they cannot do anything other than refer me to Dr. Mansur because he was the one who performed my procedure. When I saw Dr. Mansur and we discussed my problem, He checked my eye again and he said nothing. I asked him how can I get rid of the redness because the procedure did not work and he stated the only way to get rid of it is by doing an injection in my eye which I did not want done. He was very rude, careless and unprofessional leaving the room and not coming back. He also was very rough and demanding with his employees. I also overheard him telling someone else that he was the best Dr around. I never write reviews but I felt that I needed to write one on this Dr in order to hopefully save someone else from going through this or worse!Ivan Alvarez

It is almost impossible to reach them over the phone, when they finally answers, they are quick to transfer the call. I tried to schedule a STAT eye appointment meaning it is an emergency, i have been transferred to the an emergency voicemail. Who does that. I am done.

This place is terrible. Took my mom for her cataract surgery yesterday at 9:45am and she didn’t go in until 3:10pm. Today is her follow , her appointment is for 1pm and she still hasn’t been seen. The waiting period is terrible, the staff doesn’t seem very friendly at all. This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star at all.

Very long wait my father has appointment today at 10:45 am and its now 11:45 still waiting for the lesser procedure I asked the lady at front any idea how long its Gona take she said no idea doctor will see u at the end after all patients who need injections because u need lesser , so whats the point giving me the early appointment, i have been told its only take 5 minutes to do the lesser.I have to meet with some one at 12:00 Oclock and its 11:53 already dont now how long . Very bad poor service from the staff .

Wait time to long no matter what your appointment time is its going to be at least an hour wait and you hardly ever see the same doctor so each time you have to explain whats going on with your eyes and to top it off there is only one doctor on site with 25 people waiting ridiculous.
