My experience on September 7, 2021 with Dr. Lilian Hernandez wasnot one of compassion. First of all, her office do not return phone calls to make an appointment. I had to appear in person to obtain an appointment. I waited in dental room for over an hour for services. During this period of time no one came to apologize for the lengthy wait. Dr. Hernandez stopped in the middle of cleaning my teeth and indicated there was nothing she could do for me because I was in need of dentures. My insurance company offer Free cleaning and X-Rays yet I was initially charged a $60 co-pay. However, she returned my $60 to my credit card. Dr. Hernandez web site indicates dentures as a service yet she told me she no longer provide that service.

I had to go with 2 stars because the surprise $50 bill. The visit was unremarkable, she did a basic cleaning and checkup. Where Im left frustrated and disappointed is with a random $50 charge. I asked if that was a copay from my insurance, they indicated it was a required charge. I asked how is that possible since I have excellent insurance. They insisted it was mandatory. I left and called my insurance plan who called the DDS who only then revealed it was for a medicated rinse. I absolutely did not request, need or want this upcharge. Also, I do not recall even being given a rinse, let alone one worth $50. Pretty sneaky, petty and dishonest. No wonder no one was in the lobby.

I will preface this by stating I am a latine of color that is fluent in spanish. I was greeted by the dental assistant and she was a bit reserved. Once I started speaking spanish she did seem more at ease. When I arrived the small waiting room was empty. It quickly filled and the dentist came out and started speaking to everyone there but me. No greeting or at the very least acknowledgement of my presence. She was very chummy with the established patients in the lobby.I havent been to the dentist since 2015 and I felt very judged for it. Not out of concern just plain judgment (from the dentist). Lisset the dental assistant was very detailed in explaining the dangers of gum disease and how it affects the teeth. She did make me feel comfortable asking questions about the bill and in general. Dr.Hernandez on the other hand was quiet ridge and a bit unprofessional. She asked if I was in pain at one point and stated I was not until the night before my visit actually.She seemed flabbergasted and as if she did not believe me due to so much dental work that needs to be done. I have no reason to lie. The only attempt at rapport the dentist made was when she asked if my job was busy again. I stated that was actually my s.o job and I did not work there. Thats when her demeanor changed.I cant say what the disconnect was however, I know I do not feel this was a good fit for me. As my consult was coming to end I was thanking the dentist and letting her know I would follow her recommendations, she didnt seem very interested in what I had to say and was already walking out of the room. She responded outside the doorway and that was it. Lisset was the only positive take away from this experience. I hope she gets paid well because she does it all.

Look no further for a dentist dr Hernandez is amazing !!!

I was told the cost of my needed dental work was $240. When I arrived and checked in the nurse said I must pay $460 upfront. I said to her I was quoted $240 when I set the appointment. She started getting angry with me saying no she knows what she quoted me and slammed her fist on the counter. I was startled and handed her my card. She hands the card back to me after taking payment and then asks me for $40 cash payment for visit fee. What?!?! Do not go to Dr. Hernandez office. I walked out and disputed the charge.

I’ve been coming to Dr Hernandez for many years and I keep coming back even though there is a dentist in my office building. She is fast and gentle. She doesn’t make her patients wait. Most importantly, she doesn’t hurt me, so I am not scared of going to the dentist. The office admin Lisette is also great. She is kind and helpful with everything from scheduling to dealing with insurance. I recommend Dr Hernandez to anyone looking for a dentist in Fort Lauderdale.

My daughter was having a dental emergency and the other dentist we went to couldn’t get us in for a week. So I called our insurance and they recommended Dr Hernandez and I must say. I was SO impressed with her office. I called at 11:15am and had an appointment for the same day at 2. I figured we would wait because we were coming as a walk in but we only waited about 20 mins and then she helped my daughter. My son also needed a good cleaning so I St this time scheduled for my son. Next day we came back over and he got his teeth cleaned and also 2 cavities fixed. All done in the most professional manner and my son who is 12 doesn’t really like the dentist but he was so comfortable with the office.

I cracked a tooth over the holidays and went to see Dr. Hernandez for the first time since she was close by, and took my insurance. The office is small but very nice and clean, and she has the latest equipment including a CAT scan for your entire jaw and teeth. She and her assistant Liliana, are very professional and very friendly. I had to have the tooth pulled and I was very apprehensive about it because I had a tooth pulled 20 years ago and it was one of the most painful things I ever had to deal with it. Dr. Hernandez assured me that this time it would be different. Well I can now report that she pulled the tooth and I never even had to take an aspirin. I have been to many dentists over the years and this was by far my best experience. I cant recommend Dr Hernandez, Liliana and her staff enough. Trust me, go see them, you wont be disappointed!

Scheduling and front desk sucks, I had an appointment on Monday at 4:00 PM. I called at 3:00 to confirm my appointment and they told me I missed my appointment at 2:30 They never called to confirm the appointment or left a message. A very lousy service and very disappointing.

I miss 1 appointment due to a family emergency and this office deleted me as a patient after 3 years. Dont go here. You always have to wait 1.5 - 2 hours after your appt. time to be seen. Maybe this is a blessing to have yo find a new office to go to.

I have been a patient for years. I love Dr. Hernandez and her assistant Liset. They make me feel at ease because I know Im in good hands. Dr Hernandez is a great Dentist. All the negative reviews I see here make no sense to me. I see too many trolls hating and very little to no facts. Five stars arent enough for their wonderful work.

Ive changed my review several times trying to ask myself, Is leaving this doctor a detailed review even necessary? Based on the manner that they respond to patients that leave them a bad review, the answer is No.So instead I will just note a few things that you can see based on her current reviews.1. She only has 3 stars with 30 reviews2. The word rude is in most of her reviews from people who havent known her for multiple years (maybe her philosophy is no new friends/patients)God bless.

This office is a joke. Dont waste your time going here. Very unprofessional front desk and nurse. I waited over an hour after my appointment time to be seen. Finally was called to be seen and waited another hour in the back for the dentist. Never again!

I have never been mistreated by a dentist office like this one in my entire life. I was given the cold shoulder because I did not speak Spanish and the front desk nurse was getting frustrated becuase her English was not good.

After waiting to be seen an hour and a half after my appointment time the front desk lady told me we have to reschedule becuase there is not enough time for me to be seen with the other appointments that a scheduled after mine. She made me feel unimportant and worthless. Ridiculous

I start visiting Doctor Hernandez three years ago and my teeth and gums are getting better ! never got any teeth issue after that . She is very professional and always give me good advice. Highly recommend to everyone who needs a good dentist to take care of your teeth :)

I have been patient of Dr Hernandez for years . I love going to her office because it’s always a pleasant experience . The staff is so friendly and make you feel very comfortable . Dr Hernandez is very professional and the results are fabulous ! I would highly recommend this office to anyone . Great Service !!

10/1/2018It is unfortunate that I could not give less than one star to that rude stressful professional dentist. I was scheduled to see her today for a cleaning session.First of all the building has not the number listed on the wall. I was not sure where to enter. After that I found the location, I sat and waited my turn. The girl seated on the front desk took the x trays of my teeth and asked me to wait. It was not the right thing to do. Front desk and dental procedures could not mix. Then when Dr. Hernandez came to clean my teeth, she touched accidentally my tongue with the device. I told her and after a short pause she started again and again touched my tongue and that was painful. I again told her and she immediately stopped but started raising her voice at me telling me that she heard it and for her it might be normal if that error happened. She never apologized to me for the first or the second time. She decided not to treat me and left the room abruptly. The front desk lady came and removed the small stuff under my neck and I left not without telling both of them that they need a break. It was a very nasty experience and wasted of my time. I am also lodging a complaint with Humana, BBB, Google and social media. That professional should be removed from the medical records and work somewhere else.It is unfortunate that I did not check the listed reviews prior to go today to her but thank you G*d I was lucky not to be treated by that rude, grotesque and arrogant animal.

Dont go here. I got a crown from this office and I had to go back 3 times for it not staying on. I finally went to another dentist after all the complications and come to find out they used a cheaper non compatible crown that did not work with the post they put in but charged me the full price for the crown that was suppose to be used but ripped me off and put in the cheaper one. Warning! Do not go to this con- artist dentist!

Theres a reason why this dentist office only has 3 stars. I should have trusted other opinions before I had my initial visit. Office manager/dental assistant very sweet. The dentist...AWFUL. First and last visit. I went in there with discomfort in a couple areas. Instead of her addressing solutions for those while I agreed to the treatment plan, she kept telling me I had dirty teeth and I need to work on care at home. Very ignorant with poor bedside manner. Unfriendly and very dry. Not the comfort and hospitality feeling you expect from a dental office. Requested my xrays, was charged $50 cash for them and bounced. Will never be back, nor do I recommend. Believe the GOOGLE STARS! Find 5 star service elsewhere.

Dr. Hernandez is friendly, smart and easy to talk to. She recently replaced an old silver filling and I had been warned by friends that it would be terribly unpleasant. In fact, I could hardly tell I was having work done and it came out beautiful. I have gotten very good advice from Dr. Hernandez regarding daily oral care and I am very happy to have found her and gotten my mouth back on a healthy track. The assistant was kind and friendly and the prices are right!!! I would recommend Dr. Hernandez very highly!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Hernandez since 2007 and continue to see her three or four times a year for cleanings. She and her assistant have always gone the extra mile for me. The thing I like best about Dr. Hernandez is that she always remembers the particulars of my situation and gives me a gentle push now and then when I need to take better care of my teeth and gums. I really would not consider seeing another dentist.

Liliana is the best! Her and her staff are very professional and accommodating. My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Hernandez for over 1 year for multiple treatments. We couldnt be happier.

First time I came here I was seen 30 min passed my appointment time, the assistant was super sweet, the only good thing about this place. Yes, my mouth is a mess which is why I’m going to the dentist. After the lovely assistant took my $50 and my X-rays, Dr. Hernandez walked in and made horrible faces when looking at my X-rays, she was very rude when discussing all the things I needed to do and when I asked how much of all that did my insurance covered she rolled her eyes.. she went back to the front desk to talk to the assistant and said in spanish “uh! She wants her mouth fixed but doesn’t want to pay” and then got quiet (I’m assuming the assistant told her I spoke Spanish as well).Despite all that, I made a new appointment to get a cleaning (which I was told would be $125, they would find out how much of that the insurance covers and I would pay the remaining.. when I went in today I was told the cleaning was $174 and that my insurance only covers $49 do I had to pay $125. So I just left..Bottom line besides billing issues that is the most rude and unprofessional dentist I’ve even seen, from making faces to horrible bedside manners and talking about a patient in a different lenguage.. unbelievable.NEVER COMING BACK

Have been going to Dr. Hernandezs office for over 10 years. I drive extra far to stay with her because she is the person who actually cleans your teeth! Most dentists have a hygienist who does all the work and then they pop in for 2 minutes to take a peek. Not with Dr. Hernandez! Give her office a call and give her a shot-youll be coming back!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Hernandez for about four years. She has addressed several issues that were the result of years of neglect. Her work is first rate and once she addresses an issue, you can be assured that it’s done right.She is also the only dentist in my experience that will call you back in the evening or weekend.

I had a tooth pulled by her 3 weeks ago. She left the root of my tooth in my mouth and did not tell me. She did tell me that my tooth was on the table, when I looked I notice I did not see the root, it was after 3 days of bleeding when I notice the root was still in my gum. I am still in pain and looking for another Dentist to take care of my problem. I would not recommend her for extracting (pulling) a bad tooth out of your mouth.

As if bad dental service wasnt bad enough, but now now trying to repair your horrific reputation with false accolades? youll need to try harder and not make it as obvious.

I wen tot see this Denist a few years ago and was appalled by her rude and unprofessional behavior. She said she picks the patients she wants to have as clients. This is discriminatory. She is a Latin self centered naccarist racist who plays Church Christian music in the office and combines her dentistry with religion. She also wanted to charge 100,000 for crowns. She should be a makeup artist. I saw her once and I will report her to the dental association. How dare she make up a response about drugs and making up stories to protect herself. The only thing I take is 81 aspirin for my heart. She knows what she does is wrong and has no defense. I went because I have TMJ and needed teeth. She believes a person needs to brush their teeth 5 times a day and if they do not cooperate she doesnt want them as a patient. She only treats rich gullible people. I Doctor takes an oath and is not suppose to treat other people like this. A hypocrite claiming they are so religious and behave so badly in the medical field.

Rude ! Don’t go there they didn’t want to consultation with me because I visited another dentist , they told me that why I’m shopping around .

Booked an appointment for today at 2pm , ended up having to leave as I was still not seen by 2.35pm. I have a baby I have to get back to and haven’t got all day to be left sitting in a dental chair .Don’t make an appointment for two people at the same time and leave a patient sitting there waiting and then just told me I had to pay $50 co-pay on top of that when I didn’t have to last time.I wouldn’t have minded paying It if I was actually seen at my appointment time.Ended up having to walk out as it was clear I wasn’t going to be seen any time soon as they were busy attending to another patient who walked in after me .
