I have fallen in love with Fixing my teeth and this time I visited this TLC Dental while shopping for braces, they were the kindest people at a dental office, very friendly, helpful and overall makes you feel comfortable to visit an office that applies the CDC guidelines for safety. need work done visit TLC Dental, this is a review as of 8/23/21

I got my teeth cleaned on 08/2/2021 by one of their hygienist Roosevelt and it was a very pleasant visit and he made me very comfortable with the procedure. And he was also very caring and compassionate towards my procedure. But all in all the whole entire staff at TLC dental, Fort Lauderdale made me feel extremely welcome and they were all very friendly to me and I truly loved how my very 1st visit turned out and I pray and hope I have many more great visits with them all. Thank you so very much TLC Dental, Fort Lauderdale for an awesome! 1st time visit . Keep up the fabulous work you all rock! 🙌🏾💃🏽🕺🏾👏🏾😍🥳😘

The Dr. Countras was introduced herself very professional and showed me all x-Ray and explained any specification before sending me to the BEST Dental Hygienist I know for 24 years from a previous Dentist office. Probably the best dentists office in South Florida. Everyone is so incredibly kind and super helpful. Karina did my cleaning and she was amazing! She was quick, gentle, and really nice to talk with throughout it all. The staff at TLC Dental are amazing! Due to the lockdown and health insurance changes, I hadnt been able to get to the dentist on my regular cleanings for a couple years. After such a long stretch without one, my hygienist at TLC, Karina, didnt disappoint. I barely felt a thing and my teeth felt spectacular after she was done. You can always tell a great hygienist by the way your mouth and gums feel afterward and Karina is definitely one of the great ones! I highly recommend TLC Dental in Fort Lauderdale and especially recommend Karina as my hygienist!

Great Dental Office and very friendly and professional staff! Dr Adam Fisher did an Excellent Job, I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted the same day which 2 of them were impacted! I was a bit nervous but all went well and I had no pain only a little discomfort. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

I have been going to this TLC Dental for several years now. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here but the last two times I’ve been here have been taken from GOOD to GREAT! And the reason for that was my dental hygienist, Roosevelt! He is very attentive and kind and knowledgeable! Not only does he pay attention to detail and leave my teeth looking perfect - but he also cares about my comfort. My teeth are VERY sensitive.... He gave me some numbing fluid and constantly talks to me and checks in with me to keep me calm and make sure I am comfortable. I recommend TLC Dental in Fort Lauderdale, but I HIGHLY recommend you ask for Roosevelt! Thank you Roosevelt for making my experience wonderful and leaving my teeth sparkling:)

Great dental practice! My entire family goes there and have always had an awesome experience. Our dental hygienist, Karina, is so good at what she does and her experience shows. She reviewed each of our dental routines, including brushing and flossing, and made recommendations as needed. She truly is a professional in her field and it shows. I have never had a dental hygienist care enough to ask what our dental routines were or make recommendations. If you can ask for her to clean your teeth, you wont be disappointed. If you have to wait for her to have an open appointment, do it! She is worth the wait!!!

Roosevelt is the best Hygienist there is. Hes courteous but friendly, hed gentle but thorough. He always asks if anything hurts during the entire process and checks in sporadically. He asks if theres anything he can do better to make it better. Hes knowledgeable and informative and just does an all around great job. I would highly recommend asking for him!

Okay,No I have not taken care of my teeth all of my life.I had such bad experiences as a child at the dentist. I never wanted to go as an adult I thought my teeth Were healthy enough to make it through the years I lived. This truly is a top notch practice from top to bottom. First of all, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Service is prompt & you are always greeted with a genuine smile. Friendly, kind, attentive staff is a huge plus but it doesnt fix your teeth, and I came in with shoddy dental work from my previous dentist on top of other long overdue issues. Going into TLC the first time I was wary, but Dr. Coutras gained my confidence and trust with her expertise and skill. Ive never felt better in a medical professionals hands! TLC also has the best endodontist (Dr. Tover) if you require a root canal. Theres not a practice that couldve done a higher quality job with the extensive work my teeth required; pair that with kind, attentive staff and on-time appointments & we have a winner here. I can show off an amazing smile for the first time in my adult life! Thank you, TLC.

He listened to what I had to say and took ownership of the situation. Determined to make things right, Sasha was even kind enough to make special accommodations to help me get a cleaning on my schedule.Every company needs a Tia, Dr. Tina, and a Sasha. They are all remarkable professionals. I’ve had much worse customer service experiences in the past, and no company has ever worked so hard to make things right. Having never been to this location before, I made it clear with whomever I spoke with that I am happy to complete any new patient consultations they require, but I wanted to make sure to get a cleaning the same day.I came in for my appointment on time, spent over an hour here before being told they cant clean my teeth today. They don’t have it on the schedule and there isn’t room. It feels like this was a sort of scam. They lied to get me in the door and then tried to upsell me for other treatments beyond the cleaning I had requested.Ive made it clear from the start that I am moving out of the area next week. Very professional amazing caring dentists. The staff is always very efficient and super friendly. The bathroom is the cleanest I have ever seen! I am so glad to have finally found experience dentists that I can trust. They take care of both kids and adults. My favorite location is off Commercial Blvd as they are very organized and process you very quickly. They even call you to remind you of your appointment and give treat bags to kids. It was a great experience!

I had an appointment with Dr. Roosevelt for a cleaning. Honestly, prior to going, I was nervous. I had put off going to the dentist for a while just because Ive had unpleasant experiences in the past, and overall fear of the dentist. He eased my anxiety, made me laugh, went out of his way to make sure I felt comfortable and safe in their care. My cleaning exceeded any expectations I had. I am so happy with the way my teeth look and I will be continuing to follow up with them for any future needs. Thanks Doc! 😊

I had posted a negative review prior because I didnt have a very good experience, however a member from TLC staff, Laurie, contacted me immediately to express her concern and remorse for what I had gone through. Laurie listened to me, and allowed me to explain what happened. She was empathetic and understanding. Her willingness to make things right went over and above! I was able to get the cleaning I needed, I met Karina, who did an excellent job! She was gentle! Rosie was also quite lovely this second time around. Thank you TLC for fitting me in for an appointment and not making me wait a month. I am SO glad I gave you another chance. I will see you in 6 months!

I’ve been going to TLC in Ft Laud for year now and I’ve had a number of hygienists clean my teeth and the past few have been ok. Today was the best visit I’ve had in a very long time and Rosevelt did an awesome job cleaning my teeth. Extremely thorough and attentive.

Karina did such a great job on cleaning my teeth. She is amazing. No pain and a nice bright white smile. I would recommend anyone too go and see her to get taken care of.

I went for the first time and saw Dr. Helfant and he was great. I had Karina as my dental hygienist and she was fantastic. Very thorough and even explained a better way for me to floss!! Booked my next cleaning with her!! Glad to find a new place.

Great office and great staff. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a while and their staff was able to get me set up quickly with an exam, cleaning and some fillings within a week. They contacted me immediately when there was a complication with my insurance and explained the exact steps needed to correct the issue. The issue was taken care of in an hour! Dr.Helfant and Tia were great.. I had to have a tooth extracted recently I know ouch right ...no fun at all... But the process was seamless .. Tia and Dr. Helfant and the whole TLC Dental staff define professionalism. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable during the entire process. From the parking lot check in to skip the waiting room straight back to procedure room. Tia got me all prepared another young lady came In and explained billing and cost Dr.Helfant comes in gets started Making sure I wasn’t in any pain.. extraction completed in about 15 min total time in office about and hour start to finish.Once he was done I tell him NOW THAT’S WHY I COME TO YOU! STAY AWAY from this office and all TLC offices. They don’t care about you here. They look in your mouth for dollar signs. They are greedy and unsympathetic. They FORCE you to get things done in your mouth that you don’t even need. They just want your money. I repeat, STAY AWAY from these TLC locations! They are unprofessional and uncaring!

It was my first visit at this dental office. The first good impression had to do with not having to wait to be seen, my appointment was right on time. The personel were very courteous and professional. The doctor explained very clearly what I had and what I should expect on my second visit. Since my case needed quick attention, I got another appointment within 2 days, which I think was pretty good. My overall experience was A+, I felt comfortable, and I know Im in excellent hands.

First timer here!!! From the minute I stepped into the office I felt welcomed. From the receptionist to the Ortho assistants and orthodontist made my experience absolutely amazing!! Got my braces installed same day and the process was just so easy! I’m happy I chose you guys to help me get my perfect smile!

Was in a lot of pain. TLC dental took great care of me. Got me into the office right away, diagnosed and treated the issue. Tooth pain is brutal and TLC got me back to feeling like myself very quickly and efficiently.

Dr. Coutras is the best dentist I have ever had! She takes pride in her work and my smile never looked better. She is very personable as well. It is always a pleasure to see her. Not only do I have another reason to smile, but my smile is bigger than ever!

Not sure why this place is highly rated, but it was probably the worst experience in an office setting I have ever had. Super corporate. No customer service skill, little attention to your needs, long wait time, unfriendly staff especially the gentleman whom is the finance or in charge of explaining your procedures. Rude, not very detailed. The place is also kind of plain and uninviting. The dentist was nice but he himself didn’t look happy to work there. Walked in for consult and cancel everything moving forward. First impression is everything and this place did not live up to its reviews. Oh also, their targeted ads for physicians of my culture was a scam. I asked for the Romanian doc and they didn’t have one. Shame on you for wasting my time.

This place hires dentists who pay to have their bad reviews removed. Very shady. Read the fine print of all the paperwork they give you. I was injured due to the work that one of their dentist did and now have to see a neurologist.

Myself and my 2 daughter went today as new patients and boy am I glad I found this place! I expierence both the pediatric side and the general side and it was a great experience on both sides. The front desk staff was so sweet and Victoria on the pediatric side before me even coming into the office spoke fought with my insurance to assure that my 7yr would be cover on the pediatric side instead of me paying for the appointment out of pocket like I planned on doing so when I got there and she told me that I was floored that she took that extra step for me without me saying anything!The dental assistants on both general and pediatric were amazing and friendly.Let me tell you, if you are looking for a sweet, kind, gentle, patient dentist for your kids come here and Dr. Thomas is all that and some! After a terrible experience at Main Street children’s dentistry in Plantation I really had my fingers crossed and Dr. Thomas was amazing, a complete 180 from horrific experience on Main Street in Plantation! He was so calm, sweet, gentle and patient with my child during her filling and tooth extraction, he is definitely meant to work with children. Unlike the dentist at Main Street in Plantation!!!Myself and my older daughter were seen by Dr. Franklin and He was just as amazing! Sweet, calm, funny and patient! I enjoyed every minute with him!Both Doctors took there time to explain everything in detail and assured you understood.All in all as long as they keep TLC staffed by this group you’ll always have a patient from my family! I had a great experience at the Fort Lauderdale location today where I saw Dr. Fotek for a periodontal consult. He was terrific - thorough, polite and informative. His assistant was the same. The receptionist handled my arrival efficiently and with a great positive attitude. Oscar in Scheduling was the same. Recommend highly!

I have been a patient of TLC Dental for many years and this is the first time I have used the Ft. Lauderdale location. I needed oral surgery and Dr. Torres did the procedure. I thought I was coming in solely for a consult yet Dr. Torres said the procedure could be done that day. Dr. Torres provided several options for me to consider in making the decision whether to have the procedure done that day or a future date. He did not rush me, he patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions regarding sedation options as I took a long time to choose whether to have the procedure that day or another day. Being a very anxious person when it comes to dental procedures, Dr. Torres response to my questions shifted my emotional state from anxiety to confidence in having the procedure done that day. Again, I never ever felt rushed nor was the procedure rushed. After the procedure, staff and assistants followed up frequently by phone and when I came back for the follow-up, the surgery site had thoroughly healed. This speaks well of Dr. Torres skill and commitment to the welfare of his patients. I felt very well taken care of by Dr. Torres and his assistant during the procedure and grateful for their compassion and competence.This office is larger than the one I use in N. Lauderdale. On the day of both visits to this office, I was immediately greeted by a staff member before I even got to the front desk. The staff seemed friendly and warm. Thank you Dr. Torres and staff.

Today was my first visit. An extremely friendly staff. The doctor was very interested in listening to my oral problems and thorough in his assessment. Made me feel at ease and was not salesy as many dentists have become these days. Prices for my service so far seemed fair and reasonable compared to other dental offices.

Always a great experience here. They are always on time for my appointment, I think the most I had to wait once was 5 minutes. Very kind and professional group of people, from the front desk to the orthodontist. Love the assistants!

I love this place! The staff is very professional and Its very clean...you always feel welcomed! They let you know what services you need and pricing ahead of time so youre not caught off guard and they dont make you feel like youre obligated to get the work done from them right then and there. I take my kids (15 and 12 yrs old) there as well and they love it. The only reason why Im giving them 4 stars is because of the distance...I live in Miami.

Everyone here is so friendly. I have only lived in Ft. Lauderdale for 1 1/2 years and had a broken tooth from one of the roots. I called several places, I was in so much pain. TLC Dental took me in right away. Dr Franklin and the girls that assisted him did a incredible job. I did get my tooth and route extracted but never felt a thing so gentle with everything to keep me comfortable. Went back the following week for follow up, same incredible treatment. I went in this morning around 11 am with an emergency. I got an appointment for 1:30 PM. I left the office by 2:40 PM. They were timely, efficient and professional. Dr. Hefland did a great job. They had to extract my tooth. Im not in a lot of pain. Thanks a lot for your quick work to relieve my toothache.

I was taken 30 minutes late.This appointment for teeth cleaning did not include teeth cleaning. Another appointment is necessary for that. The first available was in one month.Not happy about the dentist chair. When it needs a plastic cover, its time to change the chair. Plastic was thin and wouldnt stay in place.The TV in the exam room, where I waited for around 45 minutes, was showing Below Deck. Unprofessional choice of show with bad language, sex and lots of unhappy employees. Personally I found it offensive and would rather have had it off.While the dentist was talking to me, the nurse interrupted him and he left the room. Rather rude. When he came back he had lost his train of thought and went on to something else. This nurse couldnt wait a few minutes until he finished, but didnt mind having me sit around for 2 hours.My husband and I were there for 2 hours (15 minutes of which comprised of physician inspection and x-rays) the other 1.45 hours was wait time.Theres no cell usage restriction in the waiting room, so I had to listen to a lady argue loudly with her mother on a long call. Didnt seem to bother the staff who work in the area.The staff and dentist were courteous and friendly.

I was very pleased with how my hygienist Maria cleaned my teeth. She was very attentive to my concerns, made relevant suggestions and gave me instructions on how to floss properly. I would definitely recommend friends and family to TLC Dental.

TLC is the best dentist I have ever had, ever.I have been going there for about 8 years and have had the same dentist and hygienist the whole time, Dr Coutras and Sharon. Full disclosure I may have a little anxiety going to a dentist... and maybe on one of my early visits there was a minor episode and I may have possible sort of slightly momentarily lost consciousness. But this was all me and had nothing to do with them. They are aware of my, eh, handicap and have done nothing but been accommodating, understanding, and sure the occasional joke but all in good fun. They introduce new equipment, procedures, and products to help with maintaining healthy teeth which I am glad that they do and always take advantage of.I have greatly increased my home dental care and have had no problems for years. I may be leaving the area and probably my only regret is losing them as my dentist.

Run as fast as you can. I went there with my insurance for a simple cleaning. They made me wait over 30 mins because I told them I only wanted what my insurance paid for a simple cleaning. They were not happy they wanted to get every penny out of me. They don’t care about the patients it’s all about the $$$. 10 people went in after I was there first. I told them I was waiting for my appointment 30 mins ago. I then waited 5 more minutes and walked out. They never even bothered to call and ask why I left. It was evident that I wasn’t there to line their pockets.

Today I give 4 stars to TLC Dental in Hollywood and in the future will update my review.Everything in our life is comparative to something or somebody. My previous dental office was really excellent, but they dont participate this year in the busyness with Preferred Care Partners.However, it does not mean that some employees in TLC Dental dont deserve 5 stars rate. They are: Dr. Nick Cicortas, who are extremely professional, well spoken, ethical and caring, Julianna providing knowledgeable and friendly assistance, Juan is very good and gentle hygienist, Samantha, who is demonstrating professionalism and patience,Allene is very welcoming and pleasant, then, Surgeon Mr. Daniel Torres and his assistant Renee( hope, this is right spelling), who provided exceptional work in my first visit.But I was disappointed with my last visit to the office, did not feel a team work, so why I give only 4 stars.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Left in so much pain and called back continuously. No doctor would call me back. All they care about is getting you in and out. They just want your money!! Most impersonal and disastrous appointment. I hate the dentist and now I have a real reason to. Will never go back. You couldnt pay me to go back! Would absolutely never recommend.

The staff is well trained and welcoming. The specialists do their jobs well and completely.One concern is pricing. I called ahead to confirm pricing of my procedure and was asked to coordinate with my dental provider for pricing, which I did. When I showed up for my appointment and asked the cost associated with my procedure I was told something different AND more expensive. Only when I asked the staff person to re-check the codes with my insurance was my bill re-adjusted. The blame went elsewhere to someone who enters the insurance rates in the system. Makes one think if they do not come prepared with research of the costs, they may end up paying more than they should.

They are so professional and experienced. I am a patient since 2012. I had my wisdom teeth removal here and the surgeon was amazing. Shanon is my hygienist ( the best) . I really recommend TLC dental Ft Lauderdale.

This is a reputable dental office and the orthodontist and her staff are very pleasant and professional. They also have payment plans available for major treatments like braces. Highly recommended.

Going to the dentist isn’t a fun experience for me. So I’m careful about return visit especially when it comes to something so personal like your mouth. TLC Dental is exactly that TLC! Awesome service from the ladies up front to the tech, to the dentist we went over and explain in detail while educating me on what/why. Awesome will return love the referral program as well :)

From the front office staff to my dentist, Dr. Helfant, to the hygienists I have had, Diego and Carlos, the quality of care and service has been exemplary and has me more confident in making regular visits to the dentist a part of my self-care regimen. Sharon is a great hygienist, Dr. Coutras is a great dentist. Both have such great bedside manner, skill, and knowledge. This is the first dentist office I’ve been to, in Florida, that does not try to sell you on unnecessary treatments. Love them!

The most painless dental visit Ive ever had! A real one-stop-shop for your teeth. Im usually terrified to go to the dentist, but they informed me my gums were fine, I didnt need any special treatments and I was able to get not only my cleaning done the same day, but also my permanent retainer removed and molds for a new one taken! All in about 2 hours!

The People change too often there.Scheduling employees do appointments as they feel like without consideration to the customer request & wishes. You should not have to repeat yourself every time you go there.

Dr. Thomas and his team were amazing. My kids had a wonderful experience and felt very comfortable. I appreciated Dr. Thomass conservative approach as he did not try and sell me unnecessary add ons as so many dentists have. In fact, I ended up paying nothing out of pocket which is an all time first!

I’ve been going to TLC for over 10 years. They are very caring and truly provide quality dental service. Dr. Coutras is very knowledgeable and takes her time answering all my questions. My favorite person is my Hygienist Sharon. I look forward to seeing her each time because she makes my teeth feel like a million bucks!

Yesterday was my first visit to TLC Dental. After not having dental insurance for quite some time, I was very excited to get my teeth cleaned. My experience was fantastic. Diego, who did my cleaning, was extremely efficient and, although it had been quite some time since my last cleaning, I experienced very little pain without even using the topical numbing solution he offered. Dr. Coutras also filled a cavity. The process was relatively quick and painless.Overall, I am very pleased with my experience here and look forward to using TLC Dental as my dental care facility in the future.
