I’ve been to the practice twice now and it’s definitely the best I’ve ever been to! Joy did my cleaning- but I don’t even know if I can refer to it as just a ‘cleaning.’ She was so incredibly thorough, yet gentle. She explained everything she was doing and it was obvious she takes great pride in her work. Not only did she address any questions I had, but since it was my first time seeing her, she so thoroughly examined and worked on my teeth and gums. She gave me helpful at-home recommendations for which toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. I should be using and explained why. So often, practitioners give recommendations, but don’t explain why those particulars are important. Do yourself a favor and book with Joy and Dr. Sevel!

Dr Sevel and his friendly staff treat you like family. I rarely write reviews but good people and a great Dentist that go above and beyond your expectations deserve public praise. I went for a tooth implant which is a lengthy process wherever you go. Dr, Sevel was meticulous from beginning to completion. The implant looks great, feels great and cost me less. I read a quote that read “ kind people are my kind of people.” Joy and the administrators at this office are my kind of people. They were all warm and helpful! I like their up-to-date equipment and how they explain my procedure and next steps. I have HMO and 99% of the dentist I can see are… less than satisfactory. I came here after another dentist tried ripping me off with the bait and switch dental cleaning special. I appreciate honesty and direct communication which is what I received when coming to Las Olas family dental. Everybody was completely professional. They only recommend what you need and the prices are more than reasonable. The hygienist went the extra to make sure that my teeth were cleaned and still offered brushing instructions. You can tell they really care about your teeth. I told the business manager that I wish I could find a Primary care doctor just as good and he even offered to refer me somebody. Great experience!

I went to Las Olas Family Dental today and had some Impressions done so I can get my tooth screwed into my implant. Well I have to leave town on the 23rd and they went out of their way to have my tooth and a late appointment working after hours to accommodate me. I always walk in with a smile and leave with a smile

We started very good, and then I got very disappointed. You encourage people doing reviews, and this is my honest feedback. I received a treatment a month ago, and started having a feeling of sensitivity days later. I called one day and went for an apt and the dentist that saw me was not available (I wasted my time), and then I tried to re-schedule the appointment for second time, and the same day you told me that what I was feeling was normal: change the tooth paste. Maybe you were right, but bottom line is, if I am your customer (patient,) that is paying money and if I have a feeling in my teeth, I need your attention. I do not feel is professional it all just push me rationalizing what I was feeling is normal after 3 weeks. I had to go now to another dentist, and yes I need a new treatment that is costing me money and additional time, reason why I am switching this place. I am not coming back or giving positive feedback. Please make sure you address and LISTEN your customer and patient needs. Is so easy just listen...

I love las Olas family dental! It’s not a chain dentist office which I love. They actually care about giving their patients a great cleaning snd providing them with treatments only if they need them. There’s no upselling or extra charges. All of the hygienists are so nice and sweet. Last time I was in, Joy cleaned my teeth and she is such a wonderful hygienist! Not only does she actually care about the health of tour teeth but she educates you on exactly what she’s doing and why she’s doing it. I truly enjoy coming to this office and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else in Fort Lauderdale!!

I switched to Dr Sevel because my prior dentist was no longer covered by my insurance. I had been seeing my old dentist every six months for an exam and cleaning. To my shock, Dr Sevel billed my insurance for a deep cleaning. Why on earth i would suddenly require a deep cleansing is beyond me gives that Ive had regular cleanings every 6 months for years. I wouldnt quarrel with you if you concluded that he ripped off my insurance and me.Bottom line, i suggest you find an honest dentist.

Truly an amazing dental office. I have never met a more honest staff. They are up front about prices and have the best prices in town. The staff is so nice and the doctors are so nice as well. An overall great experience.

Amazing dentist and staff!! Honestly the best I have ever been to! I have been there with severe tooth pain twice and I need a whole lot of work done in my mouth in general. They are just super informative, made me feel very comfortable and they really make sure to get your teeth healthy with a decent price that will work for you. They are there for you always following up and work with you to make sure you can afford the procedures you need done. I highly recommend!

First visit to this dental office and I am very impressed. They have all the latest technology with 3D scanning of my mouth. It was so cool to see my mouth in 3D. Doctor was very nice, and staff was super friendly as well. I had a filling and root canal and I am going to get an implant next. Prices are super fair. They even have TVs with cable in every room. They didnt pressure me into doing anything, but rather they educated me. That convinced me I needed to do all my work. I have now finally found a good dentist in the area.

To be concise.... this is the best dental practice I have ever been to! Dr. Sevel is extremely professional, confident, and quick. The staff at the Las Olas office is easily the most competent and nicest staff I have ever encountered at any medical office. Even though the procedure was complicated it was a piece of cake for the highly experienced doctor. He made me feel so comfortable during the procedure. I am in the middle of my full mouth rehab now and it has been nothing but amazing. Cant wait for my final smile.

Las Olas Family Dental is the most honest dental office I have ever been too. The prices are also very fair as well. I dont have the best teeth and I know I needed a cleaning. Dr. Sevel took the time to explain why I needed a deep cleaning and didnt pressure me into getting the cleaning. The education he gave me really shed light on why I needed the deep cleaning. The price was very fair as well. $450 for the entire mouth. Not the most expensive, but not the cheapest either. you get what you pay for. And you pay for experience. To have the doctor clean my teeth was a real treat as well. I also had implants done with Dr. Sevel and the procedure went very smooth and painless. He is most certainly the best dentist I have ever been too. I have always been very skeptical of dentists because I have been scammed before, not this dental office. They are true and honest. And the entire staff is great as well.

Ive had nothing but amazing experiences at this dental office. From calling to schedule a consultation, the friendliness of the entire staff, to each appointment Ive had since then - everything has been seamless and the service is top notch. Dr. Sevel is amazing at his job and its obvious he cares about his work and his patients. I needed a new dentist since my insurance changed, it is very difficult and aggravating to find one that will answer all your needs.I was very impressed with the meet and greet at the window, Darren was very welcoming.I was directed to one of the rooms for my x ray and cleaning.A very nice and smiley(yes you can see people smile with a mask) assistant welcomes me, few moments later Dr. Dennis came in and introduced himself, we had about a 10 minute introductory conversation even before treatment begun which I found to be very refreshing.Once the visit was over I scheduled my next appointment with ease.Very clean and feel good practice.Highly recommended.

He clearly communicates what should be done and why, exudes confidence and experience by simply being relaxed and working as one with the mouth. It’s artistry! I have moved around a lot in my life and have had 10+ dentists along the way. It has always been painful for me to get X-rays. Without me saying a thing, Doctor Sevel noticed I had an extra bone structure in the bottom front of my mouth and said he had a way to make the X-rays painless. First dentist to do so in my life. He has this fancy new device that is incredible. Brilliant!!!

Had a great experience with Dr. Sevel and his staff. I had a regular cleaning done. The front desk was very helpful in assisting me with figuring out my insurance coverage, the dental hygienist was nice and efficient, and Dr. Sevel was very professional. He recommended fillings but didn’t push me nor make me feel uncomfortable about not wanting to get them done right away. Additionally they are taking the proper precautions for Covid-19. I was screened with a questionnaire and a temperature check, and everyone at the office was wearing a mask and eye protection/face shield. I felt very protected knowing that they were protecting themselves. I will be returning to his practice for my future cleanings!

Very bad front desk service!! The experience started off with the gentleman at the front desk being rude to another patient, in front of me while I waited to see the doctor. I required a deep cleaning which was covered under my insurance 100%, I also called my insurance and had him speak directly to the insurance rep who faxed over confirmation that I am indeed covered. He still refused to accept my insurance and to provide service. He even got upset with the AETNA rep every time she provided all the verification. It became very clear he did not want to provide service. As an African American, I felt very discriminated. I was advised by the insurance company to find a new dental office as they believed it would be bad to go back there.Dr. Sevel himself and the assisting staff was very nice and polite. It’s very sad that the front desk staff would show such discrimination.

My hubby again needed major dental and gum work leading up to getting implants etc. The care and details provided by Las Olas Family Dental still has me amazed. From his initial visit and planning appointment to the temps being in his mouth, they didn’t miss a thing. They communicated with him every single day to check on his healing progress after his major oral procedures. The time frame planned is correct. Everything while COVID-19 has taken over life. Ive been Seeing Dr. Sevel on and off for 6 years. My teeth needed a lot of work back then and he brought them into great condition. Recently my bottom teeth were basically gone. I went in for a consult and happy to say I have full implants and wonderful temporary teeth so I can eat again. Once I heal, he is putting in my permanent teeth. Quite frankly my temps look like the real deal. Who goes to a dentist that calls you over the weekend several times to check on you ??? Dr Sevel. He is awesome. Ive always had teeth problems but thanks to Dr Sevel they are coming to an end. Affordable as well. I highly recommend him, Great Doctor, great Staff and an ultra clean office .

Amazing - Professional - Respectful - Knowledgable... I could go on an on. My dental journey began over a year ago as I was in desperate need of a repair of a broken crown to relieve pain and improve a horrible looking remaining tooth. As a teacher I hold excellent insurance, however, no matter where I went recommendations were outrageous in procedural content and cost and NOT one dentist would take the time to provide me some kind of temporary cover for my broken tooth. My journey has ended with Dr. Sevel and his confident, compassionate and professional staff. From the front desk to the procedure room everyone was attentive and courteous of time making sure I was seated in the exam chair early! I cant say enough about Dr. Sevel. He listened to me and made sure that all my questions were answered and even though I am in need of lots of work he clearly laid it out for me and also began right away!!!!! I also had a procedure that involved state of the art laser removal and not a moment of pain. The office was exceptionally clean and well maintained above and beyond the Covid requirements. All this and extremely competitive costs. I have scheduled an appointment for my son and will be spreading the word to all my colleagues and friends. New safety equipment, protocols and procedures had been put in place. This including limited patients, distancing in the waiting room and anti-viral treatments ensuring that I was able to safely have treatment.
