It’s a okay hospital, dislocated my shoulder and walked in at 5am with a homeless man laying in the entrance doors while the nurses tried to get him to move. They fixed me up quickly and took good care of me and that’s what is important. Great service and I loved my doctor, didn’t love having to creep by a incoherent homeless man while in extreme pain.

The Emergency room and one of the cleanest ones I have been in, but that’s where the praise stops. The are so slow. I have been here since early afternoon. The nurses at the time were nice and polite. Once the shift change, the new nurse were the nurses from hell. The nurse were rude and had a nasty attitude. Me and another lady wanted into the ER at the same time. And she walked out just now while I’m still in the waiting room waiting to be seen. Sanitation procedures are not being used here. I don’t feel like that are doing everything that can to keep everyone safe. It seems like it take 2+ hours to do everything. 2+ hour wait for blood work, an addition 2+ hour wait for the rest result. Another 2+ hours to see the doctor. I am on the verge on walking out. I will never come here again.

My dad was in this facility for over a month and I need to let everyone know how amazing the CV-ICU staff was! It felt like home there and I could trust them to care for my father when I left. Dr Jain is very intelligent and works hard and aggressively to get your family better! Rafi, RN was phenomenal, I couldn’t thank him enough for everything he did for my father. He knows his stuff and truly cares like the patient is his family! Shehide, RN took such good care of my dad, came whenever something beeped, and answered all of my questions. She even came to check on my dad when she wasn’t working on his unit. Andrew, RN was such a breath of fresh air. He constantly gave us hope and reminded us not to give up. Gibbs, RN was awesome at making my dad comfortable and explained everything he was doing, despite the fact that my dad was sedated. Morgan, RN constantly made sure we never needed anything and was so kind. Josh, RT thank you so much for ensuring we felt comfortable with my dads ventilator settings. There is no way I will be able to repay you for the care you gave my dad. I’ll never be able to repay you for what you did for my family. I hope this review reaches someone who can recognize such an amazing group of people, they saved my dads life. ❤️

Cannot even begin to say how concerned I am,First of all, I am pregnant and suppose to have my baby at this hospital. My husband was recently in this emergency room (trauma unit) because of a motorcycle accident, and they put him in the hallway with three other people even though he was in serious condition and had a heart attack a few moments earlier. They did not even sit up his bed, they had him laying in the halfway on the stretcher!!Second of all, I asked for water for both of us and was ignored four times before having to raise my voice about us being thirsty and finally them getting water. This concerns me because Im visibly pregnant and he was visibly injured and we couldnt even get a simple water yet alone no meds until I had to track down the third nurse asking for this.Third, the waiting room had me wait even after they called the front to say I could go back and see him. They had me stand there while the nurse told someone where the bathroom was. The doctor barely acknowledged that my husbands was injured and told him the faster he could get up the faster he could leave. They did not even give us a wheelchair- we had to find one on the way out. His arms were all bloody and they put no band aids or cleaned up anything. Such a sad excuse for staff

I was visiting from out of state when I unfortunately ended up having to take an ambulance to the hospital. The staff was not kind or compassionate. I could hear the nurse in the hallway saying my friend was “crazy” and someone needed to let her in.The front desk receptionist was awful. We asked her to call a taxi because both our phones were dead. As she rolled her eyes and made a stink about it she did. I was sitting down because I had low blood pressure. The receptionist told us we need to be outside waiting. As we were outside waiting on the curb she came outside to Yell at us to inform us we have to be outside—-clearly we were.I also found it odd they don’t educate what their test are. I declined a cat scan they said “ fine” instead of letting me know what a cat scan will show. Overall, it was a horrible experience. The only person who was good was a kind man at the end getting my health insurance to discharge me.

Walked into the emergency room with no one waiting, but waited an hour before asking a lady at the desk for an update and she informed me that they are getting my room ready. She also clarified the room number. Waited a lil while longer to ask the man at the desk and he informed me of the same thing. Was going to walk out, but I had spent so much time already and at that time it’s a lil after 5am. Ask to speak to someone in charged and the charge nurse CHRIS came out and said they are short staffed. OK so I ask more questions cause it seemed like I would be there for a couple of more hours since they are short staffed. While I asked questions he became irritable, but clarified that housekeeping was short on staff and said he will find me a room. He found me a room and told me to sit down not caring that the bed had a blood stain on it and took me to another room. When asked if that room was sanitized, he gave me attitude by the mouth and body language. At this point I definitely walked out and will be speaking to his boss about how unprofessional this ER is. I clearly understand why the rating is so low.

I had a very bad experience here with the doctors, not only did my primary doctor Warner completely disregard me on the two times he came to check for a period of 5 seconds, he threw his hand up and continued to walk away as I asked about the health issues with my DVT in my chest, trying to seek more assistance and knowledge out of it.By the end of my stay there I had one blood doctor telling me he wanted to hold me for four more days, Doctor Warner not responding to any of the nurses, and then surgeons telling me “don’t come back here in case of emergency, we won’t be able to help you” … the only one I appreciated was the friendly nurse thankfully and the other doctor who was shadowing who fought for me and helped inform me on knowledge. It’s sad to be in a hospital for any reason, and then to be treated in a disrespectful, and rude behavior and pushed to the side is disheartening that these are the “professionals” they employ here.Let’s not forget to mention I had multiple screenings they listed that I was not informed of or even had performed, this hospital should be ashamed of it self, especially being a “teaching” hospital that directs new doctors entering there profession.

I have had more than 10 appointments here recently and the work that was done on me is superb. Ive had no problems with my teeth after each visit. This branch of Broward Health is always clean despite the number of people who come here every day and I feel safe with the nice security officers. My experience having carpal tunnel surgery (April 2021) was outstanding in every way. My nurse, Terri Kellerman, RN, was warm, compassionate, and motherly (although I’m about twice her age!), and when she stepped in to help another nurse whose patient was emotionally distressed, Terri showed outstanding empathy. My nurse anesthetist, Octavio Gayton, CRNA, gave me a remarkable presurgical summary of the procedure—a summary that was far more detailed than any I’ve ever had, yet easy to understand. I even had an anesthesiologist—not always the case these days—Ramon Vargus, MD. Dr. Vargus was quite friendly and likeable and showed a nice sense of humor. He made it clear that he was aware of a rare medical condition I have that can cause serious problems during anesthesia—and that he knew how to avoid those problems. With such a team supporting me I went into surgery without a bit of anxiety. And my surgeon, Kevin Shrock, MD, did an excellent job.

How can it be thst not one single dr has even told my son his diagnosis. I had tocall the nurse to find out. Im discussed.

Worst Experience I’ve ever had in a ER ever. There was a clear disregard to my concerns of pain and discomfort. I can see through the “Blood pressure and heart monitor” facade of care. No testing, no concern...

This is the worse hospital I have ever been to. If you are sick? Do not go there. The staff on the 9th floor are rude and clueless. Especially Myrda, the nurse. Not sure how she pass her nursing tests. She doesn’t know anything about her patients. She’s there just to collect a paycheck. Please go somewhere else if you really want to be taken care of.

Going to this ER was the worst experience I have ever had. The Nurses did not take me seriously. The doctor did not communicate to me any test results or give me an opportunity to ask questions. I spent 6 hours there and was never checked on or asked if I had questions. I was there for severe abdominal pain and I still had to get up and walk to the nurses just to find out what my test results were. The nurses were crowded together laughing and watching a loud episode of family feud. The only available restroom was filthy and covered in urine. It resembled that of a jail cell. In the end, I never got a real answer on my pain or was given any antibiotics. I now have to begin again with a different ER as my pain is still present.

A really stressful, terrible experience. I had to call 911 because I was extremely faint and fatigue. ( I am 23 years old) I got to the hospital and the people in the emergency room literally joked to each other about another COVID patient. (Which I did not have) they left me in the room being extremely weak with no help and attendance until I buzzed the emergency button. That alarm went off for 5 mins without anyone coming. I feel extremely let down. There was only one nurse who I felt truly professional and cared. I’ll only go to memorial regional from now on. Even if it’s a further drive. It’s not worth the neglect at Broward.

If you ever have to go to the hospital this is the place to be! Wing 4 West is the absolute best Ive ever seen. Being a former firefighter and medic I known first hand what it takes. They treated my grandmother like their own. Highly recommended and if you have the option request 4 West!

Friendly and great hospital. Drs, nurses and employees are excellent and caring. They explained to me what was going to happen during surgery and willing to answer questions. The only thing that needs improving is the food. 😁 .if you want the same service but better food try broward county imperial point hospital. Both hospitals are owned together.

This 5 star review is specifically for Dr. Timothy Ryschon. Hes such an amazing physician and we especially enjoyed his quirky personality. He took really good care of our 13 month old and explained everything he was doing and why he was doing it which we really appreciated. Hes really great with kids and would highly recommend him!

This is the best emergency room! From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you leave the staff were all very kind and concerned! You dont feel like your just a number even through it was very crowded upon arrival. Even while you are waiting in the waiting room you are well cared for. They made sure to keep in great communication our loved ones waiting too. The hospital was very efficient and compassionate; compared the other hospital emergency room experiences.

My mother was staying in this hospital for her illness. And she said the nurses don’t know how to take blood from her they caused a lot of bruising and were constantly waking her up to take her blood. When I picked her up. She had dried blood all over her pants . Very disappointed with this hospital . They aren’t profesional and even the professionals don’t do their jobs correct. Don’t recommend .

Usually this hospital has rude staff but today has shown me the hospital is really trying to improve their culture. My husband was admitted today and the staff was very nice and empathetic. His RN Michael in the ER was above and beyond caring. I hope Broward General continues to hire staff like this.

I am not an us citizen and asked the receptionist if the treatment would cost more than 200$. She reacted like yeah, everything is alright. Dont worry.Later on she said for non us citizens, they charge 1500$. So broward medical center scammed me. If i had proof, i would sue them.

Great security until they don’t accept a military ID as proof of ID(lady at service desk tells me that it’s not an official ID) and won’t let me in to visit my family member that got emitted. We sat in the ER for 5hrs after being brought in by the ambulance. Then was emitted and haven’t seen the doctor since the day prior in the ER. On top of all that me nor the family member have been getting updates on the health status or any of the lab outcomes and it’s nearly been 24hrs..

Hospital personnel to patient communication at this hospital is HORRIBLE. Told to arrive at 7:30 AM for surgery and no food or liquids after midnight. I waited NINE hours in pre-op without food or water before I was sent in. At one point, they werent even sure who was supposed to be taking care of me! I am diabetic and had not eaten for 21 hours and kept slipping into hypoglycemia - sweating, light headed - but the nurse couldnt do anything about it. I was radically dehydrated from the sweating and was not able to be given fluids. Because I got to the room so late from surgery, there was NO DINNER ORDERED so I had no food. This is 19 HOURS with no food or water. My husband finally went out to McDonalds and brought me back a Big Mac while the night nurse brought me graham crackers and juice to get my blood sugar up. Is this how a hospital should be run? I developed a urinary tract infection from the lack of hydration. It was not treated at all. NOBODY told me basic hygiene needs were on a shelf on the other side of the room at the bottom of a tub. I couldnt see they were there. Nobody mentioned that i should be using a thing to keep my breathing up so I didnt catch pneumonia. It was sitting on the shelf with the tub and Ii had no idea what it was so I ignored it until one of the AIDES that takes VITAL SIGNS asked me if i was using it. if no one tells you you should be doing something, HOW do you know to do it? HOW do you know something is available if no one tells you? I was in severe pain and dealing with having to pee every hour and it was extremely difficult for me to get out of bed so I wasnt in any condition to be asking if I could get a toothbrush The ridiculousness extended right up to discharge when the day nurse TRAINEE CUT OFF MY ID BADGE and the transport person refused to take me to the exit because he couldnt scan my wrist band. Even after leaving the hospital, the communication was awful. The woman who did a follow up phone call was obnoxious. I finally told her everything was wonderful just to get her off the phone. I felt bullied by her and the PT person who accompanied her on the phone call. There were a few high spots. The women who creates the ID badges when you enter is very friendly. The night nurse Patty and the pre-op nurse Jeff went way beyond the call of duty to try to make me comfortable in an impossible situation. All in all, the place is horrible. If I have a choice, I will never go back there.
