I found Downtown Chiropractic Center on the internet and gave them a call for a totally different reason, but after speaking with Dr. Bobker I discovered that he also specialized in orthotics, so I made an appointment. After his evaluation of my feet, he recommended orthopedic inserts, which I custom ordered. I havent met a Doctor in a long time that took so much time to explain everything so thoroughly and wasnt in a hurry to see the next patient. I am glad that I made the call!

My experience with Dr. B exceeded expectations — nothing like my experience with other chiropractors before where they adjust you for 15 mins — Dr. B truly spends his time with you (for at least 45 mins) doing a combination of treatments that includes laser therapy, spinal adjustment, lymphatic drainage massage, and kinesiology tape. After my first visit, my range of motion have improved and after my fourth visit, I’m doing 100% better.

Ive seen Joe 5 times whilst here on vacation from London - Ive got some knee rehab and disc problems in the neck. Ive been physically active most of my life and an amateur lifter in my 30s. Hes the real deal, this is a proper professional body worker - therapeutic massage. After session 5 Ive got the sensation back in my hand as the nerves released and my neck is way better (75% better) than it was. You get what you pay for, if you need quality he is your man!

My experiences with Dr. Bobker have been nothing short of excellent in the two times that we met, and speaking on the phone. I went to him to have custom orthotics made. I have had a couple of disappointing experiences with other custom and off-the-shelf orthotics, for the most part, but my problems with my feet forced me to give it another try. Dr. Bobker had me walk in front of a video camera and also walk across a pressure pad, in order to really study what was going on with my feet. He also pointed out that my shoes were too big for my feet. Once I had shoe size that he recommended, and put my new orthotics in them, I knew that this was going to work for me. I just got back from my first outdoor walk with my new setup, and it was the best walk Ive had in a long time, and nothing hurts. Thanks for the great work, Dr. Bobker!

Im pro figure skater / athlete and I had an accident during training where I fell in my back and I got instantly a lock in my backbone high up. I wasnt sure where the lock was but I couldnt move my head and my muscles got super tense so I knew that there was a lock and something wrong. I called this place and they took me after their openings hours that day. Doctor knew what he was doing. I got some infra red treatment for my muscles first (personally I dont believe it works but cant really say if it did or not) then he started to make tests to figure out where my the lock is and he was able to open it. After he checked my pelvis that was uneven and he balanced it out. Also he did some passive/active stretching for my hips that made my lower back pain go away (I pain in my lower back when I get little lazy to stretch) and my range of movement got bigger as in my legs as well. Huge thanks and I really recommend this place if you need immediate help or longer time help as well. I dont trust easily anyone to treat my body but now I know a place to go if I need help.

Ive been getting bodywork for over 30 years and Im very picky on who I let work on me. I feel very fortunate to have met Joe Gajnos besides being a very caring and sensitive man his mastery of AIS stretching and clinical massage techniques make him the person I go to when I need to be worked on. I find Joes combination of AIS with very specific massage technique to be a very powerful in making me feel and preform my best. Joes hands are amazing they seem to always know how much pressure to use whether stretching me or releasing a trigger point. Joes the best , you cannot find a better person or therapist.

I work on cruise ships and I needed a trustworthy centre to take care of me this last period, I had 2 minor injuries at work and visited Doctor Glen twice in 4 months to get better. And I did get better. He is very professional, he explains in detail all hes doing, easy to trust him.I relaxed in this centre and I felt in good hands right away. It is 7 minutes by car from Fort Lauderdale port approximately, they have advanced technology, laser treatment, but most important in my opinion is: for the quality and professionality they give, for the service I got, they are not expensive at all. Joe is a professional in every aspect of massage and stretching. I am a weekend athlete who works in an office all week. My erratic schedule has caused me to have many different types of injuries and muscle pain. I have found Joe, the massage therapist ,to be very knowledgeable about my types of injuries. Not only was he able to alleviate my pain, but he educated me about the likely causes and showed me some stretches that I was able do on my own in order to help prevent future injuries.

Doctor Bobker took me in on a cry for help one Saturday afternoon, July 2016. I started treatment twice a week then down to once a week and now once a month. A couple weeks back I sprained my ankle and decided to have some work done on it. First Dr. Bobker used laser therapy on my ankle and followed each session with kinesiology tape. These methods provided fast pain relief, reduced swelling and added ankle support to improve the amount of pressure I could put on my ankle. Every time I left the facility my ankle felt better and more healed up. It got me back to work fast! Dr. Bobker was very generous with his time and very thorough.Eventually I followed up with massages by their therapist, Joe Gajnos. He was very experienced and knowledgeable when it came to helping to rehab sports injuries, like ankle sprains. Once finding those spots he really focused on putting pressure which also helped relieved pain. When healed up enough he applied gentle stretching and even taught me how to due these stretches on my own. He also instructed me to do exercises to strengthen the ankle.The Dr. and Joe the therapist really care about you and want to do the most to help your healing process. They got me back to normal fast! The Downtown Chiropractor and Orthotic Center is the place to go if you need healing and pain relief.

If you are looking for a caring, professional, thorough and knowledgeable chiropractor, you need to do yourself a favor and go see Dr. Bobker. I don’t usually write reviews but Dr. Bobker is truly a rare find. These days it seems like the entire medical profession has forgotten about the main reason for practicing medicine... helping people heal and be healthy. Instead, we are treated like walking dollar signs. Dr. Bobker is the exception; that’s why he is my chiropractor for life.

I am writing this review to let others know what happened to me, in the hopes that this can prevent the same thing from happening to you. I was a patient of Dr. Bobkers for the past few years and up until yesterday. I will never go back again.When I first went to Dr. Bobker, I gave him a lengthy history. I had a number of neck and back issues from rugby, contact sports and heavy weight lifting. At the time, I was getting prolotherapy to address ligament laxity and ligament injuries in my neck and back. I made it clear that I was not ok with any adjustments - neck or back - that required twisting.Over a couple years, a combination of prolotherapy and physical therapy/rehab helped me heal my neck and back injuries. I got to the point where I was generally feeling very good. I would go in for an adjustment once every month or two, mainly because Dr. Bobker said it was good for maintenance.Over that time, Dr. Bobker had convinced me that I should let him adjust my neck. Initially, I warned him against doing this. But as my injuries healed from the other therapies, I was a bit less guarded. One day, he assured me that a neck adjustment would be safe and gentle. So I let him do it. It went fine. From then on, he adjusted my neck as part of most visits. There were no issues.Yesterday afternoon, I went in for a maintenance visit. I had done a heavy chest and shoulder workout that morning. I felt great. And overall was feeling generally fantastic lately. I even commented to Dr. Bobker on how great I had been feeling.He adjusted my back. Then, he adjusted my neck in one direction. No problem. Then he examined my neck for a few more minutes and decided to adjust it in the other direction. As usual, I was a bit nervous. Whenever he touches my neck, I always tense up because of all the neck problems Ive had. I said Im not sure it needs adjusted. Then Dr. Bobker did this creepy thing where he says, Just let me have control. Before I realized it, he abruptly twisted my neck the other way. And the adjustment didnt take. No clicking. No popping. Just like he twisted it until it hit a brick wall. My neck and trap muscle immediately began spasming.I told Dr. Bobker just stop. I told him my neck hurt. He downplayed it. I got up, paid for my visit and quickly left. I went to my massage therapist - who I had just seen the night before. The prior night, my neck had been fine. Suddenly, my neck was a complete train-wreck. I took some Advil (I havent taken anything like that in years), went out and got dinner then went home to bed.This morning, I woke up with spasms, pain and a general haywire feeling in my neck. I went to the gym just to do some cardio and stretch. While on the bike, I started to feel dizzy and a bit disoriented in addition to the neck and trap spasms. I left the gym and went home. I was so concerned that I wound up going to the emergency room.At the ER, they took some images and diagnosed me with a pinched nerve in my neck. Yesterday morning, I was absolutely fine. I was doing incline press, one sided, 75lbs per side and shoulder press with roughly 60 lb kettle bells. I felt amazing. No pain whatsoever. But since Dr. Bobker tried to adjust my neck? Pain, spasms, even some tingling in my left hand. And a diagnosis of a pinched nerve.In part, I blame myself. I was stupid and far too trusting. Ive had neck issues and problems with ligament laxity in my neck. Today, Ive read about how people who have had similar issues should not be getting neck adjustments. Having repeatedly expressed my concerns to Dr. Bobker and advised him of my ligament issues, I expected that he would take my concerns seriously and look out for my best interests. Upon further research and reflection, I believe that any reasonable chiropractor knowing about my neck issues would have refused to adjust my neck and strongly advised me against it rather than convincing me that it was safe and gentle.I would not trust this doctor with your well-being.
