Love coming and volunteering everyday. Lauren and Michelle are the two best females I worked with and always great to the community. Great garden and great place to relax after a day of work. Anyone is always welcome to come enjoy a meal and never leave disappointed. Thank you foco cafe for being here. Free clothes and a food pantry Monday through Friday 11am to 2pm. Come grab a bite.

I do not expect much when it comes to free food from donated money. Sometimes the food is a hit or a miss. Mostly good though. The real wow factor are the people giving their time to know the names of the less fortunate people that come to this establishment, and showing kindness and having the skills to even de-escalate tensions when a fight is imminent. A special thanks to the tall blonde man who is always there with attentiveness and greeting me by name every single time. They have cooks with potential and are creative in what they make from the food that is given to them. They are very resourceful. Id like to add some suggestions including how much pepper goes into some of the soups (its a lot at times), putting forth more research into some of the baked deserts (sometimes its dry) and keeping up with an inclusive menu i.e. having vegan options available daily, etc. Other than that, very good work is being done here. A hidden gem of Fort Collins with a beautiful mission and vision

The food is incredible! A set menu every day with 2-3 salads and around 4 soups, all you can eat. The food tastes like a healthy home cooked meal. Soups, salads, and baked goods are loaded with local tasty ingredients. Nothing artificial here. Really refreshing with limited options in town for healthy eats. With its non-profit structure and donation based formula, I like knowing my dollars are going to help those in need.

We were looking for a spot to catch an awesome bite to eat in Ft.Collins and this was the first cafe to pop up. I couldn’t find a website so I looked at three reviews and decided this is where we were to have lunch! Such a great concept-however I wish this was something published right on google. We were a bit confused upon walking in and being told it was a donation based cafe. We didn’t know there wasn’t a menu with plenty of food options at this point so we gave $25 assuming that’s what we would eat in lunch. There were three soups to choose from, three salads I think, and a cornbread muffin or cookie. They give you unlimited food. I’m an extremely picky eater so I ate a few bites of soup and a few bites of salad and was done while my boyfriend ate an entire bowl of soup and a cookie. I super appreciate what they are doing making this a donation based eatery however it’s very misleading on google when looking for a place to have a great lunch. Would I have chosen this location had I known they didn’t have a menu? No. Would I have chosen this place to eat had I known my main course would be soup? No, I’ve never liked soup... Do I think this place is amazing for what they do? Hell yes. But let’s be more direct on the web-I like options when I’m looking for a great place to eat.

This is a wonderful place with really delicious and healthy food! The people are so friendly, they take donations of any size. If youre hungry and you only have a penny in your pocket, they will feed you. If you have absolutely no money, you can volunteer a little bit of your time to pay for your meal. Also, they have a little pantry for food to take with you, a free fridge for cold items, and a little closet for various clothing, shoes, hygiene and other miscellaneous things to help people out. Lastly, they have a seed bank in the back of the garden that anyone can help themselves to!!! Keep upthe good work!!!

A friendly cozy place. Amazing healthy home-made food that is local and organic. I am always more than satisfied. I recommend going daily for nourishment! The food is made with love. Always friendly and informative service. I am addicted to their soups. I go there regularly and do not tire of the food because there is always a new soup to try. They serve only an array of soups, healthy nutrition packed salads and baked goods plus iced tea or coffee. Always a vegetarian and meat option in the soups. Set in an old railway building with great sunlight. Sometimes a local musician plays. And an important note: this amazing place is a non-profit allowing anyone of any type of living standard to eat there. The place attracts a wide array of people - ANYONE who likes good healthy food!

Its a soup and salad, non-profit, donation based restaurant with 5 star food. It doesnt sound so grand from the outside but the place is mostly volunteer based and is kept superbly clean. The food is always delicious and the staff is very generous with it, the motto of the place being that everyone should have a happy healthy diet. Its a mix of all dressed business types and the less classy vagabonds such as myself.Come try it out. Thought it was a set up when I was told this place lets you pay what you can for a complete meal, or volunteer your time ( if you are flat broke) for the food you get served. It is all local ingredients from a farm in southern Colorado. They have delightful and refreshing iced tea, and the coffee its so good... It reminds you why you became addicted to it in the first place. You will leave there with a happy belly, happy taste buds, and happy/rested pockets.Until next time....

They are very good for a decent meal with a small donation. $5.00 or 30 minutes doing a chore. Unlimited seconds. Good soups, vegan choices and an excellent Caeser salad. Theres a free pantry and book exchange outside of the building. The Cons to the place is a heavily gentrified attitude and too many hipsters. If the folks here didnt ruin the experience for me, it would have been 5 stars.

This is forever going to be my go to restaurants in Fort Collins. I bring my broke friends here often when they’re out of town and no one I know has ever given it a bad review. I will say, I miss Jeremy’s cooking quite a bit but I suppose as they say, you can’t win them all. Vegetarian and vegan options are on the menu daily, with some spectacular dessert. My only complaint right now is that they went from using mostly olive oil to using so much canola oil and my stomach doesn’t feel quite as good after

I thought that the cooking here may be something like what you would get at a family get together, with mixes of foods not expertly cooked but decent enough to give a nod at.The food here is excellent. The soups/croqs have a deep and satisfying flavor and texture that I would expect to find at an upscale restaurant. The salads are fresh and light, just the way they should be. The bread has the perfect moisture and crumble at the same time.If you want a great local meal that is physically and soulfully heart warming, this is the place to be.

This place is fantastic -- the food is excellent and everything about them is altruistic and kind-hearted. FoCo Cafe was conceived and established on community values: they strive to serve locally produced organic food, they have vegetarian (and limited vegan) options, and their pricing is flexible so they feed as many people as possible. The environment is friendly and communal, has plenty of seating outside, and there is always fresh Happy Luckys tea on ice along with other drink options. They serve all walks of life, feed the hungry and homeless, and most of their staff is work-trade or volunteer. The owner is obsessive about the quality and atmosphere and how things are done behind the scenes and so the service and quality does not suffer despite the frequent newcomers on staff. Eating here supports the community and makes you feel good.

Edit: OP was 5 yrs ago., when Jeff & Kathleen were in charge. Can’t give them a positive review anymore. They have betrayed their mission and thoughtlessly put people at risk who were depending on them for survival. Again, capitalism wins. (Also, the food is really not good anymore. Really.)My earlier 5-star review: This place has been a lifesaver -- superb organic food with gluten-free options at a time when my resources are extremely limited. Im deeply grateful for access to such good nutrition, served with joy, and obviously created with loving mindfulness.

This is truly one of the very few businesses in America today which deserve respect... In an affluent society where nobody really seems to give a damn about one another, you find these diamonds in the rough... I had to leave the USA because homelessness among working people is entirely unacceptable to me and represents a complete failure. The FoCo cafe people really do care, and they offer nutritious and amazing food to people who need it badly. Hopefully one day this place will have enough money to operate 24/7 all year long (remember that holidays are hell for homeless people with no family...) If America werent such a totally failed experiment they wouldnt need places like FoCo Cafe, but since they do thank God there are people like these who have a legitimate interest in doing the right thing.
