This store has become our favorite spot for picking up spices. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. I appreciate being able to come in and pick up spices to replenish our reusable spice jars.

Such wonderful quality and selection at this shop. Came in to buy a few things for my grandmother who loves this shop but lives out of state. They didnt have one of the blends I needed but they suggested an alternative. After I purchased my items, I noticed the suggested alternative didnt have a main ingredient my grandmother wanted which was celery salt. Monica was quick to provide me a solution. She was also so kind and had a wonderful short conversation with my daughter. Such a sweet lady who provided top notch customer service!

Went in for the first time today. Got some vanilla, chicken fried steak seasoning, a kit with spices for smoking on my Traeger grill, and chili seasonings. Cant wait to try out. Service was very good.

The people that own and operate this business are absolutely wonderful human beings. I had a couple of online orders to pick up a couple weeks ago, and I was so overwhelmed by how kindly I was treated.I had actually just come from another local business in Old Town where I was treated very poorly and was feeling a little defeated when I walked through their doors. Not only were they kind, but Susan and Monica both took time to write personal messages on a couple of samples they threw in with my orders.I have shopped here for years, and I always take my mom in when shes in town for their Pikes Peak Butcher Rub, and I have always been beyond happy with the service and selection, but this most recent encounter was very meaningful to me, and I want to thank them so very much for being such a large part of why I love Fort Collins and the community I am a part of.

My spice shop of choice for years, this is the local branch. I always love visiting and frequently spend my money here, to increase my spice selection. Ive always trusted Savory Spice in regards to quality and selection and Ive never been disappointed. If you havent already, try this place out, they have a lot of unique seasoning blends and carefully sourced individually spices such as whole cardamom pods, nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, a variety of vanilla types in both extract and bean form, and various sugar and salt blends that can definitely elevate a cocktail when done correctly.

I am from Nebraska and love this shop. The first time I went was in 2019 and the employees were very helpful and basically walked me through the store and talked me through everything and all the different sections and were very helpful if I had any questions. Great prices, high quality spices and the great service. I will always recommend this shop!

I don’t normally post bad reviews because being in the customer service industry, I understand that people are more inclined to leave bad reviews over good ones. However, I’ve taken 3 days to calmly reflect on my experience, and after reading more cringe-worthy reviews on customer service, I’m going to assume we are all talking about Debby.As I opened the door to the store I was immediately told I could NOT walk any further into the store until I put on my mask and sanitized as she was violently pointing at me and the sanitizing station (little does she know I have a medical condition specifically stating I should not wear one). I complied. I then specifically asked for Truffle Salt in the largest bag I could buy and she responded with “make sure you check the price first,” assuming I couldn’t afford $50. I specifically then asked for TWO of the largest bags, one being a gift.I was the only customer in the store and still wore my mask, hardly missing my nose, and like the other reviews, Debby “swooped” in and demanded I cover my nose, TWICE. At this point I was ready to walk out but was waiting on my boyfriend to come in and finish his shopping. I was also told by Corona Karen that I needed to follow the arrows on the floor WHEN NO ONE ELSE WAS IN THERE. Needless to say, we spent $200 on spices and we will never be back. And I will happily turn every person I know away from this store and tell them what an awful, condescending experience I had. Seriously the worst 10 minute encounter I’ve ever had.

Awesome spices, great help. I only get spices from here as I know theyll be gluten free safe for my celiac. Some of the blends Ive tried are fantastic! Always very fresh and they have the odd varieties some recipes need.

They could improve on their customer service and how they treat people. Per a previous bad review, they obviously havent changed.I had walked in with an interest in some of the meat rubs. There were (I think) four people working, and four or five customers (including myself) in this very small store space.An older, portly lady offered to help me by offering me a taste of one of the rubs. After I tasted, she instructed me to immediately use hand sanitizer, which I did. I then wanted to try a different rub, and a different, younger lady helped me. As Im tasting the second rub, the first lady that helped me scolded me for pulling my mask down far enough to take a taste with my finger. In a snooty tone, she told me that they cannot keep doing that.Although the prices there are quite overboard, its not about the money with me. Its more about how people treat, and speak to me.If they are that rigid with Covid practices, why are they even open? Strictly rely on your web presence instead. And if youre going to throw a fit about taste testing, why offer in the first place!I had planned on buying two of the meat rubs, but at that point I simply walked out without buying anything. I know a lot of people and will discourage anyone from doing business there.

I found some exceptional blends here. Bohemian Forest turned regular roasted potatoes into oohh lala!! The crushed mustard seed and savory really set this blend apart. Great service too. A culinarians delight.

This is shop is one of many unique stores in downtown Fort Collins. I love all the options and rotating stock they have, great for any foodie or anyone into cooking. The only negative thing I have to say is if you have asthma enter with caution, the smells are wonderful but very strong.

The Savory Spice Shop is charming and fun, I used to love going in person when we lived in Fort Collins. Ive since moved states and Im so glad I can have spices shipped to me. All the spices are absolutely phenomenal and my friends are so impressed that theyve started buying spices from Savory too. Every time I order spices I end up going way overboard because there are so many old favorites and new blends I want to try, but when I ask my husband to trim down the cart, he ends up adding more! Ive never regretted the giant boxes I get in the mail because I have never had a less than impressive spice from Savory. Also, since weve started using Savorys spices, we eat out less because our cooking has become as good or better than restaurants.

This shop is an addiction. My husband is the cook in our home and loves specialty spices- everything he uses these spices in is exceptional!! Even makes me feel like a good cook when I season my simple plates with these products. The Paris Cheese Sprinkle is amazing on homemade pizza, and I love the Citrus Savory seasoning on any fish!

Ive been coming here for about 6 years now and I have to say in the beginning I was shocked at how much more flavor their fresh spices have. After all this time, now I have gotten rid of all other brands of spices and exclusively use from the Savory Spice Shop. These people are so helpful and quick to help you I cant imagine going anywhere else.

The first thing you notice when you enter is the amazing scent of spices, so comforting. Then you are greeted by the friendly staff that truly make you feel welcomed, and valued, one on one service. Then you have the wonderful surprise of price. Comparable to large chain stores but of a much superior quality. Always leave feeling rewarded for making the brief trip from Loveland. This is why one seeks out specialty shops.

I love the Savory Spice Shop! The staff is really helpful, and their spices are amazing - with a great selection to choose from at affordable prices. I cant buy spices in the grocery store anymore. Im thankful to live in a town that has specialty shops like this, especially since its just a short walk from our house!

The customer service cant be beat, and I find myself being reluctant to buy a spice somewhere else, thinking: I could get it so much better for cheaper from the spice shop! They’ll make you buy the spice in plastic baggies, but won’t offer a way to refill their own containers you bring in. It’s time to get with the times and at least offer this to your customers. Some of us don’t accept plastic anymore.

They have huge selection of spices, especially of the pepper variety which I always have a hard time finding elsewhere. Another bonus is the multiple types of salts to which they explain in detail for me all the differences. The main reason I go here is they have true cinnamon which I can not find in my local stores in Greeley. I would recommend anyone who likes to cook with a variety of spices check this place out.

So many amazing things to say about this place. Try some flake salt or their Saigon cinnamon. Bottom line everything Ive had has been perfect!

I marked off two stars for customer service, but the spices are fresh and wonderful. Our experience at the shop today was incredibly uncomfortable however.I was looking at a spice that didn’t have a taste/test jar and had pulled the larger jar down to smell it, and didn’t touch the spices as I figured it was one for you to procure your own pouch of spice and nobody wants other people’s grubby hands in their spices! Anyway, I put the jar back and was approached by a woman with shorter, darker grey hair and was told they would love to help with spices that dont have taste jars due to health code. The message wasn’t totally clear but I got the idea that yes, only employees were meant to open the large spice jars. I wasn’t aware as there weren’t signs in clear view to tell customers to ask for assistance with said jars. My gram asked what the lady had told me and I relayed the message. No biggie, we kept looking.The uncomfortable part came when my Mom simply picked up one of the large spice jars and I heard my gram tell her “oh we can’t open those ones.” No sooner than the second my mom picked up the jar did the same employee practically swoop in on them and very rudely say “don’t open open these lids for health code purposes, DONT open that.” As if my Mom and Gramma were children and had to be “watched” while they were shopping.I was infuriated by the attitude they received - and they promptly lost the desire to purchase anything at the store and we left. I am not complaining that there is a rule against opening certain jars, its the situation that was handled rather poorly. We all fully understand reasons for health code regulation, but if you’re not going to make it abundantly clear with signs, or even a savory spice sticker on the lids edge, that those are your measuring jars and not to open and smell them - please handle the conversation better than speaking to a grown adult like their stupid or a child and needs to be scolded. It’s uncomfortable and blatantly quite rude, it’s not as if we kept opening jars after letting us know the first time... I understand she may have thought my mom would open it, but there was no time to see if she would or realize my gram had let her know not to. A little training on this topic of conversation with customers would be beneficial to employees.

A great spice shop for hard to find spices.

A wide variety of most any spice you can imagine. There are also blends such as hot pepper flavored sugar.

We now have a selection of spice shops in town but this is still my favorite.
