My grandson began attending Monarch in February of this year. He was placed in room C with a nurturing, professional staff. It took some time for him to adjust as his only prior experience was in a nursery at church The only negative was whenever I would leave him, he would cry. The staff explained to my son in law that they were instructed not to comfort the children if they became upset as they needed to learn to self comfort. This was wrong. He adjusted to the routine. He was moved to room I when he turned 18 months old, another adjustment! It was done over a few few days. We still have some tears, but the staff is more attentive and nurturing ( the children are 18 to 36 months)The entire building is warm, inviting and very clean. The only negative I see is some of the lunches are not something most young children would normally eat. Fish for lunch, sweet potato’s for snack? I understand they must meet guidelines, but to not offer a substitute means the child goes without until snack time.If you are considering child care, do look. Into Monarch. Make an appointment for a tour & ask all of your questions, they are happy to answer them. I fear the review above mine was so negative because the mother did not address her concerns with the director. Go take a look

They take great care of my son, he enjoys going there. When we have him out, they call to check on him. And the monthly cost is like 1/4 of places off post.

My son has gone here for 3 years this place is awsome! So of the staff that work the front desk suck at talking to people, but all of the workers that interact with children are great!

I am very disappointed with the staff that serves the prekindergarten children. A lead teacher was very unprofessional when I took my child to her class. She was not welcoming nor nurturing to the children. My 3 year old child was put into a class of 5 year olds that’s transitioning to kindergarten. After 2 days of having my child in the class the lead teacher approached me as I was picking up my child and suggested she needed to see a speech pathologist since her vocabulary wasn’t as advanced as the five year olds in the class. This was my child’s first time being in a childcare/school setting so she was overly excited to be there. She didn’t even try to get to know my daughter or ask me what’s the best way to communicate with her. The lead teacher was offended I asked about a curriculum. I was told the children does a “strong beginnings” program but it wasn’t further explained. I had to google the program to get additional information. Since the speech pathologist incident I haven’t taken my child back. If you’re looking for a place to nurture, educate, build confidence, and care for your child, Monarch CYS IS NOT the place. Avoid at all costs!Unfortunately, the lead teacher never properly introduce herself so I don’t know her name but she’s in room N.
