Ive had good experiences with this clinic in the past, however, in November of 2019 I had a detailed eye exam completed. 1/2 was supposed to be billed to my eye insurance, and the other part to my medical insurance. The exams went well, and Dr K. is awesome. I payed the remainder of my bill and the year went on. 8 months went by, and I got a bill from them saying I owed $188.00. I tried calling and writing but kept getting put off, and they just kept billing me without reason. My ins. plan year had expired, and my flex money time had expired for that year - we were well into 2020. Im paying the bill...but I will never use SSM Health for any services again. The billing practices are heinous - and the billing department ignores any request for explanations. Be careful.
This place needs some serious training. They send me bills every time my family goes there, just for us to call their billing department to fix it. We have insurance but they cant seem to navigate their own system to accept it. Ive had an appointment set for months just to show up and be turned away. This is ridiculous and a huge waste of time. They do NOT know what theyre doing and need training on their own systems. The reason they wouldnt accept my insurance is because its not in their system but when we call the billing dept. after they send us a bill they accept it. Makes no sense. I would go somewhere else.
We’ve been coming here for a little over a year. I think they’re all very nice and I never feel rushed. They’re extremely patient with my kids, which is really important.I do find them to be on the more expensive side, but our insurance picks up most of the cost. You get what you pay for!
They are worthless for setting up appointments for the correct date and time
